Post Alley Pizza Is No Longer Making Its Exceptional Sandwiches | Eater Seattle

"I observed that Ethan Stowell Restaurants recently opened the huge Bomba Italian Kitchen inside the Convention Center as part of the group's brisk expansion." - Harry Cheadle

Bombo Italian Kitchen - Review - Downtown - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Bombo Italian Kitchen is an all-day Ethan Stowell restaurant located inside the newly remodeled Seattle Convention Center, and they serve food comparable to a mediocre room service spread. And we’re all about room service, but only when it’s delivered bedside while using the hotel robe as a napkin. The pasta dishes here are disappointing, like a beef cheek lasagna with stringy meat that gets stuck in your teeth, and a bland butter and sage tagliarini that a toddler probably wouldn't even touch. And the Italian sub salad, with an entire Subway topping inventory thrown in, is fine, but uninteresting. The pizzas, on the other hand, are more promising. We like the Bombo pizza with crispy soppressata, even though hot honey does a lot of the heavy lifting. We’d come here as a last resort to grab a pizza after being stuck inside the Convention Center all day, but other than that, you won’t miss anything if you stay away." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Ethan Stowell Is Launching a New ‘Breakfast Pizza’ Restaurant Called Bombo | Eater Seattle

"Opening Tuesday, June 20 inside the Summit space of the Seattle Convention Center (1600 Ninth Avenue), I describe it as a restaurant specializing in traditional Italian cuisine crafted with seasonal Pacific Northwest ingredients; it will open directly onto the convention center lobby, operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and aim to cater to downtown office workers. Alongside the typical lineup of pastas, pizzas, and salads, the menu will feature a specialty called a “Brizza,” a 5-inch breakfast pizza pitched as perfect for the client services professional on the go—or anyone who wants to make an Italian person mad about food." - Harry Cheadle

This restaurant is located right at the main entrance to the Summit building of the Seattle Convention Center. It has a large patio that opens onto the entry courtyard. I had talked to several people who ate there prior to my visit, and they all said the food was excellent but was very expensive. Quite true. I feel like this isn’t just an expense due to convenience, but because the food and service is very good. If you look at the fine print on the menu picture I uploaded, you’ll see a statement about how they pay staff and that a 20% gratuity is included in all bills. I went with a friend. We sat at a cute two person table on the patio. The staff did a great job of accommodating for my friend’s allergy. We shared an asparagus dip and house-made potato chip appetizer; it was incredibly delicious, but about half our chips were crumbs that were impossible to dip, but when we asked for more chips, the server had more brought out without quibbling. I had the Caesar salad, which was huge and very fresh. I had a local cider from Yonder along with it. My friend had the chicken parmigiana, which was huge. She gave me a piece of her chicken, and it was very good.

Very nice Italian restaurant right in the heart of Seattle. It is very similar (but better IMHO) to Tavolata (in Redmond) as they are sister-restaurants. Unlike Tavolata they inform you clearly when you sit at the table about the automatic 20% service charge and they also have very tasty pizza. The staff was very polite and helpful also! Although the menu and atmosphere between Bombo and Tavolata is very similar if I had to choose I would prefer Bombo.

A solid place to come get some wood fired pizzas and drinks. They have both interior and exterior seating available. We came during happy hour and sat outside since it was a nice day. We had the Funghi and Bombo pizzas as well as some houdemade focaccia. Both the pizzas were good and a complete contrast from each other. I did enjoy the Bombo more as I felt it had a little bit more flavor to it.

Google
5 Stars for Ximena & the Team at Bombo! I stopped in solo before a show at the Paramount across the street, and although I didn’t have a reservation, the staff went out of their way to find me a spot that worked. I really appreciated their flexibility—especially since I didn’t want to sit at the high top. They found me a comfortable bar-style table, and I was seated quickly and kindly. This wasn’t my first time at Bombo, and once again I had the pleasure of being in Ximena’s section. She is truly a gem—always warm, thoughtful, and full of great recommendations. She makes dining here feel special, even if you’re just grabbing a quick bite. I came in alone but didn’t feel like a second-class guest, which says a lot about the hospitality and vibe at Bombo. Every experience here has been top-notch. Highly recommend, especially if you’re headed to the theater or just want a welcoming place to enjoy amazing food and service!

We met new friends for the first time. We shared a meal and a bottle of Pinot Noir. It was amazing. Carrie was fabulous!

Google
Imagine going for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and spending 95 dollars total for two salads, one alcoholic beverage and one iced tea. The iced tea itself was SIX DOLLARS. I asked if the cesar dressing was mayo based, they said no. Clearly in the picture it is lol The chicken i added on my salad was a tiny chicken breast cooked to at least 190 degrees. It was very overcooked...for 9 dollars extra. Oh and the worst part? 20% service charge on each bill. So no matter what type of service you get, they are getting 20% anyways. Plenty of other options in the area with no service charge and better food.

⭐ 1.5–2 out of 5 — Bombo Italian, Seattle My family and I recently tried Bombo Italian for the first time, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty with only one table seated, yet we stood at the entrance for about five minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We weren’t sure whether to seat ourselves or wait, which made for an awkward beginning. We were told immediately that a 20% gratuity is automatically added, so no additional tip was needed. That would be fine if the service met the standard implied—but it didn’t. As first-time visitors, we needed a moment with the menu. The server didn’t want to wait, took only our appetizer order, and walked off before we could finish. When he returned 10–15 minutes later, we had to repeat our entire order, since he hadn’t taken any of it. The whole interaction felt rushed and inattentive. Even when it came time to pay, if we weren’t ready that second, he would dash off again, making us wait all over again just to close out. The food didn’t redeem the experience. The dishes were bland, and much of it looked and tasted packaged. The chips resembled store-bought kettle chips. The pasta sauce lacked depth and seasoning, and the mushroom sauce in particular looked and tasted like it came straight from a can rather than a kitchen. For the price point and the automatic gratuity, the quality simply wasn’t there. While the ambience is nice, the combination of poor service and underwhelming food makes this a place we’re unlikely to return to. It was fine to try once, but not a spot we would recommend.

Google
Great service. Our server was attentive but didn’t hover, and he made a mean cocktail. :) Food was ok (Bombo pizza was pretty salty and conversely the pasta pappardelle was quite bland). We’ll be back but only for the drinks and atmosphere.

Yelp
Had a great time here before a show. Everyone is so wonderful and hospitable and the wines were fabulous

Yelp
Went here with a big group and we covered: Artichoke Dip Marinated Olives Housemade Focaccia Italian Sub Salad The Bombo (pizza) Margarita (pizza) Rigatoni Mafaldine Vegan Cheese Pizza (not recommended) Tiramisu Various Adult Beverages Service was outstanding, tons of space given how "not busy" it was, and a nice layout. Was a little difficult to have conversations a few people away at the long table given the music, but it wasn't bad. I was impressed with the pasta and pizza given so many negative reviews. I thought they may have been basic, but were well executed and delicious.

Yelp
Let me start by saying we love ESR and Bombo. We come every time we're in town for a show and always tell friends to check it out. But this visit... something was just off, way off. We arrived early (around 11:30 AM) when only one other table was seated and were so excited to enjoy one of our favorite spots before a show. We started with wine and the calamari -- which was quite good. Then came the Caprese salad. It looked beautiful, but that's where it ended. The tomatoes were so mealy they were nearly inedible. We ate maybe a quarter of it. Unfortunately, our server never asked how it was, and when we mentioned it, she was already so busy it barely registered. Next up was the Salsiccia pizza to share. By that point, we were starving, and it came out within about four minutes -- which was telling. The crust wasn't fully cooked, and the heavy layer of cheese overwhelmed everything. They no longer provide scissors for slicing, and the kitchen hadn't cut it all the way through, making it awkward to eat. Service from there was pretty much nonexistent. Such a shame, because we've always raved about this place and have had so many great meals here in the past. We truly hope this was just an off day, but something has definitely changed.

Yelp
I went here with a few friends for happy hour to make use of the final days of InKind 2x referral bonus, as this is one of several restaurants that are in the network. It is overall not busy, with plenty of walk-in seating even at 7pm when we left. We got the Bombo pizza, Walla Walla pizza, Salame Piccante pizza, roasted beets, a glass of house red wine, and espresso cream cannoli dessert. Happy hour makes the pizza $18 which is a reasonable amount, since I would not find it worth paying $23-25 for a pizza during normal hours. The regular pizza dough is decent, and the gluten free pizza dough ($3 surcharge per pizza) is a bit crispy and chewy and it's a nice experience to try getting one with and without gluten free option. The Bombo reminds me of classic New York pizza where there's pepperoni and hot honey, but the hot honey misses the mark as it was not spicy. It's supposedly their signature pizza but while delicious, it did not stand out as I could just pay $4 for a generous slice of this type of pizza in NYC and would not notice a huge difference. Walla Walla is a nice mushroom pizza with egg though scrambled so it is not visible. I always love caramelized onion so I enjoyed this one. I'd say this is #1 given it is a bit more innovative than the Bombo pizza. Salame Piccante is quite peppery with the salami and pickled vegetables, and the pickled vegetables are not too sour to drown out the other flavors. My friend enjoyed it but I don't like pickled stuff so this ranks #3 for the pizza choices we got. Roasted beets were fresh, though I'm not a fan of beets so I cannot comment beyond that. Espresso cream cannoli was bad. The shell is stale and the espresso cream was not too strong in flavor. Service is pretty poor given they mandate a 20% gratuity on all checks. We have to flag and chase the server to put in the order especially when happy hour is approaching conclusion. There is not much checking up during the meal but at least they gave us water refills by the bottle.

Yelp
Located right at the convention center. Ok, not great. Not a great selection, pizzas and a few dishes. A bit expensive for just ok food. Servers were nice. Has a patio you can sit outside if the weather is nice.

Yelp
I didn't eat at Bombo but I had drinks there. They are located within the Summit building so I walked by a lot, and it looked good. The drinks were very good. The bar has a lot of comfortable seating and the drinks were strong. I think it would be a fun place to meet someone and hang out. You can order food at the bar as well but I was just there for libations.

Yelp
Went with my wife and daughter in the late afternoon. The layout is very nice with plenty of space for seating and all enclosed by large glass walls and a nice modern feel that's clean and subdued. There's also a cocktail lounge around the corner downstairs. This was a real treat for my wife and myself! We had so many food items. It's hard to remember all of them, but I will give it a try. We started with the beet salad with walnuts. We had focaccia with a garlic balsamic dressing. The Italian Grinder was excellent! The carpaccio with shaved fontina was awesome! Also had the Italian Sub salad. The Burrata had zucchini, pea shoots, pesto and sun dried tomatoes, loved it! Last but not least the Bombo Pizza with pepperoni, pecorino and hot honey glaze, also good. We had a couple of mocktails that were fantastic and delicious. The service was prompt and professional and no one rushed us in looking through the menu. We're from out of town so I may not be back for awhile, but will definitely go again when in town! I recommend! Taking pictures of the food felt uncouth, so I opted not to.

Yelp
Stopped in for a solo dinner before a show at the Paramount right across the street. No reservation needed on this Friday night, I walked in and was seated right away at a bar top looking straight at the theater. The low lighting and warm wood made it a cozy contemporary feel. Gigantic portions for one, the Italian Sub Salad would've been easily sharable. The Tagliatelle pasta combined interesting flavors of butter, balsamic vinegarette, and parmigiana reggiano. Robust flavors for sure! A couple glasses of an imported red recommended by the server was a great accompaniment. I appreciated the host explaining the auto gratuity of 22% while I was being seated. He was very polite, kind and personable. Located at the corner of 9th & Pine, accessible from the Convention Center as well.

Taleah T.

Yelp
The food is amazing here and the service is fast. They have a great bar program with a fresh drink menu, including one of the best martinis I've ever had. I always get the chicken parm (it's huge) and the beet salad, please never get rid of those beets they are everything to me.

Yelp
Yaaaasss!! So this a new part of the convention center (I think it was remodeled but anyways...) aside from this place being beautiful it is now officially our spot to go to before we head in to any shows at the paramount. I love it! We made a reservation and were almost immediately seated, so let's talk food Roasted Beet 5/5 Solid yummy beets no complaints it wasn't anything that knocked your socks off but still a solid dish Margherita Pizza 5/5 So I couldn't for the life of me decide if I liked the mushroom or margharita. The dough itself was yummy but the tomato sauce was utter perfection. Funghi (Mushroom Pizza) 5/5 This was such a delicate and tasty pizza, lots of mushrooms, it's more of a white sauce pizza and garlicky which YES PLEASE!! Love love love it Mafaldine 6/5 dear sweet pasta gods what in the name of all reggiano. I am never making pasta again without aged balsamic oh yummm, I couldn't believe how good this simple sounding pasta dish was. YOU MUST TRY THIS!! (I also forgot to take a photo of this and it was immediately devoured The place looks gorgeous and the service was quick and efficient and the quick friendly of a busy restaurant Can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
Clean, average tasting, plain service, plain pizza, 20% mandatory tip, less than comfortable seating. It all reminded me of Epcot for some reason. Could I eat there again? Certainly. Will I plan to? Likely not. One beer, one wine, one pizza: $65. including tax and tip (30% uplift)
google avatar

Matt C.

Yelp
Adds 20 percent service charge to items without telling you. Total scam. Got super attitudey when I pointed out that it didn't make sense for me to pay 20% service charge. I'm literally just getting a bottle of water, which they charge $5 for, And have the nerve to add a dollar tip on top of that for literally just a bottle of water.
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
Come here if you want the mid-est food for a high price tag. Bombo pizza was like eating cardboard, no favor in anything. Plus automatic 20% gratuity shouldn't be necessary. If you're looking for some great food Dough zone is just across the street.
google avatar

Joanne W.

Yelp
Very nice interior! There's two floors to it, the kitchen/restaurant and the bar on the lower floor. The food was good! The pizza's dough was soft and not too hard. My favorite was the Funghi pizza with the mushrooms. I would recommend this one if you enjoy mushrooms as the taste is very flavorful. The drinks were also quite unique as well. They were quick to seat us and it wasn't very crowded when we went so we were able to get our food within a reasonable time.
google avatar

Reis B.

Yelp
They make you cut your pizza with scissors I'm going out to dinner so I don't have to cut up the pizza like I do for my 2 year old lol Even dominos can cut the pizza they said it provides faster service Greasy cheap pizza $18 It's Seattle so I'm not really surprised!
google avatar

Yelp
A colleague and I had some time to kill before an event at the Hyatt, so we stopped into Bombo for a bite to eat. I ordered the Funghi pizza and the beet salad. I really liked the beets but the pizza was bland and left a lot to be desired. Red pepper flakes couldn't even bring the pizza to life. Service was polite and the ambiance was rather chill. I am happy to share that the restaurant was also very clean. I probably wouldn't return but it's worth a visit at least once.
google avatar

Melody M.

Yelp
I really liked the space with the high ceilings on the lower level. Food and drinks were good. The server was fine. We were there during comic con so they were busy but still they kept up. Great little place to hide out for a drink and food.
google avatar

Yelp
Great apps. We had the salmon crossing, olives, and beet salad. Everything was so tasty. The service lady was nice enough to tell us a service charge was added so as not to tip extra. Service was prompt. Food plated and presentation was excellent

Megan K.

Yelp
Nice ambiance the restaurant was beautiful and clean but I believe our pasta was microwaved due to the fact it was only hot in the center of the plate.. Service was good and quick

Yelp
We had a good experience on a Tuesday before a paramount show. We made a reservation to be safe but it probably wasn't necessary. The decor was modern. The food was good and I liked the vegetarian mafaldine and focaccia bread. My partner liked the bombo pizza. The drinks were pretty good too. Overall I think it's a good option in the area or before a show and the portion sizes are very reasonable.
google avatar

Celeste C.

Yelp
We are coming to this restaurant before going to a play at the Paramount. We enjoy pizza and pasta as well as specialty drinks. The only sadness is now they don't cut our own slices.
google avatar

Yelp
Why are there olives on everything? I mean, even the roasted beet salad. And the Caprese salad. And the panzanella salad. Kalamata, black olives, green olives, you name it. And I like olives, but they just didn't work. Also, the price plus the 20% gratuity (and then we tipped on that since it stated gratuity did not go directly to wait staff but to the establishment) was a little much. One waiter was nice and one didn't have an answer to any question, though still nice. Overall, just a very confusing experience.

Yelp
So thankful there are late night food options around the Seattle Convention Center. Our flight got in late and our hotel restaurant didn't have any dinner after 10PM. This is a cute place with a lively bar crowd on a Friday night and open doors with some welcome fresh air. We were greeted within a few minutes by the bartender who also served the tables. He was friendly and helpful. We ordered a super nice rose wine and got a much needed pitcher of water to start. The appetizers came out in short order and were all tasty but just lukewarm. We loved the meatballs in sauce and the mushroom arancini in sauce. The beet and goat cheese salad was a nice tangy offset to the hearty meatballs. They offer a late night bite menu but that was more than enough. We enjoyed our visit.
google avatar

Yelp
We went to dinner here after seeing a show at Paramount and WOW was I impressed. The drinks were tasty and the pizza was unreal. You can tell every component of the bombo pizza was made with thought and care- crust, sauce, hot honey, and all!! We also got marinated olives & focaccia which were both great. Cannot recommend enough! Our server was friendly, attentive, and provided a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. Can't wait to come back soon!

Yelp
Maybe it is too new... Came during late happy hour early dinner, party of 3. Cocktails were good, can't really complain on Old Fashioned to be too sweet. Salame Piccante pizza had a bit kick to be interesting. Amusing that pizza was not cut into slices. They provided a pair of shears for your own cutting. I kind of like that. The Antipasto was quite nice, but the mozzarella was a bit spongy inside. Mushroom Arancini came in 5 or 6 balls, both were generous in terms of portion. Then we had Bombo pizza, upon recommendation from the waitress. It was a disappointment. Basically way too sweet in sauce. Gnocchi was a must-order. The portion as good and the rest were meh. Given the numerous Italian restaurants in this area, it faces tough competitions.
google avatar

Céline A.

Yelp
Bombo is convenient when going to the theater. However the service got a bit short. We arrived at 5:30 and were presented with a bill without asking for it at 6:18. We paid and then asked to order another drink and it was suggested we pay for it right away. Bummer because the night started out strong with great service. The manager was busy socializing when clearly his staff was feeling some type of way.

Yelp
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Bombo Italian Kitchen on the opening night of Wicked. And what a perfect place to dine! The whole bar was decked out in Wicked decor, from a bubble machine to balloons, a witches hat and a witches leg, and an entire cocktail list inspired by the musical. I ordered that Not So Bad Witch, which was a delicious mocktail with basil, lime, and ginger. I hope to make it back in time to try the Unlikely Friendship! We ordered the Roasted Beets, and loved how the olives and goat cheese balanced the flavors of the beets. We also ordered the Walla Walla and Funghi pizzas, which were delicious. Our food came out in good time, and the servers were attentive. This is a great place for dinner before a show.

Yelp
OK Yelpers, how is this place only rated at 3.7 Stars? We almost missed going here because it didn't show up in the top of my Yelp search results, which is wrong... this place is GREAT. If you are looking for good food, nice ambience, and friendly service, this place delivers. It's adjacent to the Convention Center, so the upper portion of the restaurant is a little oddly connected to the hallway of the Center. But for us, this turned into a positive, as our table was seated in a wonderfully quiet area. The main dining room has a high ceiling w/ open kitchen - very bistro-esque kind of vibe. Below the restaurant is the Bombo Bar, which appears to share the kitchen. The Good: - The Focaccia - WOW! - Margherita Pizza - excellent! - The Bombo Special Pizza - AMAZING - we got the Hot Honey on the side and dipped the slices - Roasted Beets (which they pro-actively gave us for free due to "the wait" -- which wasn't a wait at all) - super complex and delicious: olives, mint, ricotta, etc. - Rigatoni Bolognese -- thick noodles, delicious ragu, just great The Bad: - Literally nothing Service was prompt and friendly. Wines were excellent. Full bar available, with very interesting speciality cocktails. Key thing to know: they are directly across from the Paramount Theater, so a lot of the patrons will be theater-goers. Our server and her manager both came over and asked us if we needed to rush the check to make the show -- SUPER thoughtful of them. They were relieved when we told them we were just having dinner... Go here. Eat the pizza. Yum!

Yelp
Nice space inside Seattle Convention Center Summit. We made a reservation, as we had tickets to a show across the street at Paramount theater. Nice spot to grab a bite before a show. Service was nice, they were very attentive when we first got seated. After awhile, it's like they forgot about folks sitting outside. We ordered another round of drinks at 6 and it took almsot 20mins to get them... they weren't that busy. We ordered the mule and a shrub. Both drinks were good. We also ordered their Bomba pizza. It was pretty good. Needed more hot honey as you don't really taste it. Overall not bad flavor. Again, good spot to hit happy hour before a show at the Paramount theater.

Yelp
Great food, great ambiance, pretty good service, but downside is... there is a 22% dining charge just for dining in at the restaurant for an hour. We ordered the Carciofo to share and the Tagliatelle for a solo order. We all loved our food. One thing we liked about the pizza was the vegetables were soft and was a mild flavored pizza, great combination. Good melt on the cheese and the crust wasnt hard. My friend liked the Tagliatelle because of the flavor of the pasta sauce. For drinks I ordered the Coffee Run, it was a strong whisky flavored drink with a good twist of bitters. Overall, despite the great taste and good service, we are not coming back. The 22% dining charge was an additional $20 to the bill.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour before the waitress play. Got the house made chips and a glass of theor house white wine. Chips were $6 and not made to order but still good. Service was quick. Lots of tables to sit at.

Yelp
Best service ever. I have an allium allergy and they were so great! They made sure to have a manager talk with me and make sure I could est what I ordered. As we waited at the bar, we got a sample of their homemade Lemoncello. OMG! It should smooth and delicious. Then I was offered a jello shot. Watermelon, tequila, chili powder. I don't really like watermelon, but it was devine! The chili added just a hint of spice, that complimented the sweet. It was a great experience.

Yelp
A bit on the fence about this review. I feel like it's more of a 3.5 star experience but I'm rounding down to 3. Came for lunch with a couple of colleagues on a quiet Friday. The restaurant wasn't busy and we were seated promptly. I love the decor and can see it being a good spot to come in the evening. Both of my colleagues ordered the Caesar salad and were a bit disappointed to find that they don't offer much in the way of protein add ons. Seemed like a bit of a missed opportunity there. While I didn't try the salads myself, they seemed fine and my colleagues didn't mention any complaints. I went with a classic pepperoni pizza which was good, though not amazing. This is the second downtown restaurant that gives you scissors to cut the pizza yourself. I think it's an interesting novelty and can see why people would enjoy it, though I'd rather just have the pizza already cut. Overall, it was just an okay experience. I'll be back to try the pasta and maybe a few other menu items and will update the review if things change.

Came here for PAX weekend and went to the downstairs bar to like chill out away from the noise. And to be honest, it was the PERFECT spot to hang out with some friends away from all the busyness, the chaos and the noise. Sat by the bar with a friend to meet a FANTASTIC bartender, his name is Jon. Loved him in every way possible, a little sassy, and little sarcastic and just all out fun. He was the perfect way to end my night out. I might have ordered some drinks, but I don't think so because Jon shamed us a bit for not doing that instead I had an iced tea and maybe some waters. We did order some food though. We ordered a Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, and to be honest it is not the traditional carpaccio, but it surely was delicious. On top of that, we got some gnocchi as well, it wasn't that bad as they are pillowy and soft, but a bit too mushy for me. Maybe they cooked it a bit too much? Idk. And we got a nice dessert as well. It was the tiramisu. Loved it. I still love the place and how convenient it is as it is literally right there in the convention center. And on top of that, love that bartender. He is amazing. For sure will be coming back for PAX weekend or maybe another convention that happens in Seattle, I'll be there!

Yelp
Went before a show at the Paramount it was pretty empty when we got there but filled up eventually. Not too loud and the staff were very friendly. While it is pricier the quality is great and it's really not crazy expensive. I will probably go back for the Malfadine pasta it is really good.

Yelp
Love this place! We go to the Paramount a few times during the year and I love the proximity to the theater and the ease of making a reservation. Also, as a person who eats gluten free, the pizza crust was AMAZING!!! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this restaurant. The location is perfect for the Paramount Theater to which I have season tickets. However, the salads were disappointing! I had the Caprese salad which was drowning in balsamic and olive oil. More like a soup than a salad. My friend had a hard time finding any meat and cheese in her Italian Sub salad. We sent back our Limoncello Spitzers which is the first time I have ever sent a drink back! It tasted like water with a lemon slice squeezed in it. No limoncello flavor or any bubbles from Prosecco. We replaced it with straight Prosecco which was good. The service and Waitstaff were very nice and accommodating! After reading the other reviews, If we try this restaurant again we would try the pizza! It was very disappointing for a nearly $100 lunch!

Yelp
Came here for lunch while attending a conference at the convention center. I ordered the Kale salad which was mostly romaine lettuce(not what was pictured. The picture posted in this review is after I picked at the kale, the rest was lettuce. I also ordered focaccia bread which came after I finished the salad because they forgot (they removed it off the check on their own) and the focaccia bread must be frozen and heated to serve because the middle was ice cold. Definitely would not recommend his place for the price and quality of food.

Yelp
Came for restaurant week and had a great time! We ordered the foccacia separately and that was a great choice, because it was amazing. For SRW, I got the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, the Beef Cheek Lasagna, and the Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake. All of the items were delicious! The wagyu carpaccio was pretty cool, I liked the parmiggiano on it. The lasagna was pretty rich but the portion size was generous. And my fav part was the cheesecake, it was sweet and had some cocoa crunchies on top. I'd definitely come back to try other items, it was a good experience.

Yelp
Caprese salad was delish with HUGE beefsteak tomatoes that were fresh and juicy and the right amount of balsamic to make it a perfect blend with the mozzarella cheese. Margarita pizza was not great. Too much red sauce and cheese was inconsistently placed across the pizza so you'd only get it on every other slice. If you are a meat lover - there are very few choices for carnivores so be warned. The papardelle pasta had some meat, but they also had to substitute rigatoni noodles, which meant it was NOT the same taste or texture as what it could have been. The other pizza was a pepperoni with a honey drizzle - that was awesome and a big hit. Service was good and smooth and ambiance. Was good, Parking is rough for this area - only place convenient is convention center parking where we paid $9 for 2 hours.

Yelp
Finally stopped in this newer downtown spot for restaurant week. The value for what you get was great just the food fell short. I'm a huge fan of chef Ethan Stowell and his restaurants but this one was very bland. Still would consider a second try. Pros: - great location, recommend for conferences or work functions - attentive service - beautiful restaurant, open concept with bar - broccolini appetizer was so good Cons: - food: Tagliatelle was over cooked Hazelnut cake was dry and lacked flavor Panna cotta was similar to pudding from the grocery store overall this spot missed the greatness that chef Ethan's restaurants have.

Yelp
Empty restaurant and downstairs bar. Drinks were ok. Bartender Alex was super nice. Food was edible. Out of their crab dip appetizer.. Maybe their pizza is better. Lasagna was mushy. Reminds me of chef boyardee. Willing to try again. Nice place and nice people!

Yelp
Do not go to this place, bar tender was so rude. I was told I could take a seat at the bar and the other bar tender was like we're closed I don't know why they're telling people it's ok. Would not recommend - EVER!!!!

Yelp
The place is next to the convention place. So it is convenient. The ambience is pleasant modern Italian interior. The staff is really nice. It is all ESR restaurant atmosphere. The foccacia bread was good. It was a bit hard to break. But decent overall. The walla walla pizza was so so. The decor was good. The size was good. But the taste was nothing. There was hardly any sauce. I walked in expecting ESR level taste; but it did not meet the expectations.

Yelp
We did not have reservations, so we were not able to eat in the main dining area but luckily there was quite a bit of seating in the bar area a little further down the street! I enjoyed the Coppa. Our food came out very fast and was delicious. I also enjoyed cutting the pizza with pizza scissors. The host and waiter were both very kind and helpful.

Yelp
I liked the vibe of this place. The bar is relatively big and has an intimate feel to it. You have to be 21 and over to be in here. They have a few pasta dishes and pizzas as well as some appetizers. The pizzas were pretty good but a lot of the crust was burnt. I'd come here again to chill and have some cocktails and eats.

Yelp
this place is terrible! the pizza is so small and untasteful, and the chips are as hard as rocks and some are soggy and taste like straight vinegar, they were also burnt and tasted like a wall, do not recommend,
