Bonchon Addison

I ordered the 6 piece wings with Korean bbq sauce and fried rice. The chicken was very crunchy and large pieces. The rice was just ok. I took half of it home it was that large. Next time I will have the spicey sauce. The Korean bbq sauce was good but left me wanting some spice.

This was a togo order. I ordered the 6 piece mix in Korean BBQ (2 drumsticks and 4 wings) and plain fries. First off, the drumsticks were huge and very juicy. The wings were very crispy. I did like the sauce, but I would ask for a little extra sauce. The taste was good, just a bit subtle. Unfortunately for my taste, the fries are breaded and I wasn't too crazy about them. The restaurant was clean, and the person up front was very friendly. Make sure you grab napkins before heading out. Luckily, I had some in the car. I'll definitely be back to try their other flavors.

Friendly staff, quick service, reasonable prices. I just had Korean fried chicken for the first time. The batter was crispy and light and not at all greasy. The sauces were delicious. I got kimchi as my side and I was given a generous portion. I will definitely be back for more.

The twice fried wings were crispy and delicious! You order at a kiosk, and the food is brought right to your table.

Came here for the first time, we ordered the bulgogi bibimbap, spicy potstickers, and the Korean fried chicken. The bibimbap came out first and all the veggies were cold, the bulgogi beef was barely hot, and the rice was room temp. The fried chicken and potstickers took a while to come out, so by the time the rest of the order came out we were already expecting the rest of the food to be cold or room temp. The chicken was good, but not piping hot as you would expect. Overall I would not come back here when there are other places that do Korean fried chicken and bibimbaps so much better and fresher.

Stop by this location before a comedy show that was happening upstairs. So happy to try this location out. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

My husband and I had seen the ads on social media and we thought we would give it a try. I walked in and placed my order with the cashier (devil "something"tattooed across is neck.) He was pleasant enough. I was seated on the benches waiting for my our. He walked it out and handed it to me. I said, thank you and went on my way. When I got home and opened the box to share with my husband, I was highly disappointed, because the food we received did not look anything like the food in the ads. I ordered the Classic Crunch and Fried rice. We were given 4 chicken wing flats and 2 regular sized chicken drumsticks. The drumsticks were over cooked and dry. Needless to say, for our 1st experience eating food from this establishment was more than disappointing. This meal, well, I would not even call it a meal was 28$. I hope this was just mistake and this is not how they are running a business.

Spicy Fried Chicken and Korean Street Corn Bonchon is always one of my favorites! Fantastic korean fried chicken, loved the street corn. Super flavorful, great portions. Always a great comfort food option

Ah, how disappointing. After almost a year of not eating BonChon after a disappointing service, we finally decided to try again. I ordered 5 chicken strips. Double fried. Extra delicious. As I remember them - EXCEPT. They weren't fried. At all. They were coated in something slimy, like a dumpling. Not fried at all. Not crunchy. Not like the other chicken we ordered. Very, very disappointed. The fries were great. The corn was great. The chicken wings and legs were just right. But the fact that the strips weren't even fried!? I tried putting them in the air fryer and still not right. Meh. Not double fried at all. It'll be another year before we try again...

My first time visiting. The front staff was very kind and gave recommendations which I totally appreciated. Just wanted to post an updated menu pic bc the prices have changed. I ordered the special 3 drumsticks, fries, & 1donut. The restaurant was very clean and they used gloves for handling everything

I've been here before and I was excited to go with a coworker !! The Chicken nuggets were overcooked! Air-conditioning leaking on floor, tables and floor were sticky and definitely did not clean. The Korean corn was good.. Save your money and go somewhere else. $16 for eight nuggets and corn and a drink. And a tip. WWJD.

I've only had two other Korean fried chicken spots . This place is pretty good. I othered the drumstick meal. The chicken was sweet and crispy . I enjoyed it. The seasoned fries were pretty good with parmesan cheese. You get a lot of food for the price . My only gripe is the crazy issues with parking in the area . It's next to Addison Improv, which isn't convenient. I would go back however when events aren't going on. Service was good but I ordered through Uber Eats for pickup . Clean restaurant.

For a Korean fried chicken chain, this one is always consistent and delicious. I normally order delivery and the chicken is still somehow super crispy. I don't know how they do it but I love how crispy it is. I've had other items, the fried rice is also really good. It looks like they've added some new flavors for the chicken, but I like the spicy flavor. It is pretty spicy though, so just be aware of that.

We went for lunch to check it out. The food was well prepared and had good flavor. The lunch special was a great deal but they upcharge for fries which a little weird (IMO). It came with 6 tenders with your choice of sauce. We did half and half. Both were very good. The seasoned fries were nicely fried, extra crunchy with lots of "seasoning" so we got our $2 worth. The house salad came with sesame ginger and I wanted to try the wasabi ranch as well. The ranch was interesting but the sesame ginger was definitely the winner. The salad is a decent size but I probably wouldn't get it again. The fried rice with bulgogi was excellent. It is a good amount of rice and is seasoned perfectly. They gave you side of soy but it's unnecessary. I was impressed with this dish. It exceeded my expectations. The lady working the front counter deserves a full 5 stars. She was fantastic. She gave recommendations, was helpful and just pleasant to talk to. Excellent customer service and we were wowed by her overall attitude. It was a very nice experience.

I had such an amazing experience here I ordered 10 wings half spicy half Korean I made it a meal. My server was Terry.He was so amazing with helping me pick from the menu,super nice and he was very knowledgeable on the menu. I would definitely be coming back.

Two of my friends insisted I try Bonchon because the chicken is amazing! They also recommended that I sign up for their Crunch Club at least two days before I made my way there which got me a free soda. I came to the Addison location and was amazed at the awesome flavors and the crispiness of the wings. I have found my new favorite chicken wing place! I had to rate it before I left because it's really good! I got their summer time flavor: Korean BBQ which is spicy but not overwhelmingly. Normally I start crying from the spicyness of some foods but this time the tears were those of delight. I also got the Soy garlic and they were nice and sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. Perfectly sweet is the better description. I definitely recommend coming here! P.S. I may or may not have sent photos of my wings to my friends.

Really good drumsticks! Double fried! Not really a "Korean" place... more of a fried chicken place with som Asian seasonings and rice sides. Will be back for the drumsticks, for sure. Fried rice plate was small. Good beer on tap!

I had never had Korean Fried Chicken before and it did NOT disappoint. I would definitely come back. The customer service was very friendly and since it was my first time there the employee was very helpful since there so much to choose from. The chicken was amazing! SUPER crispy and flavorful.

Came in for take today. There were 2 people at the front counter. One was waiting on a couple while the other seemed to be doing nothing. After the young lady finished with the couple, I waited for them or at least 1 to invite me up. That never happened. Instead, they both entertained each other. So the young man goes behind the register, stares me down, and never says anything. After about 20 seconds of awkwardness he finally says in the most sarcastic tone, "Are you finally ready to order," At this point, I thought it wasn't a good place for me to eat so I left.

AH...there are a million chicken restaurants floating around these days. This is one of them. The Korean spin is different with the double crust/fry. Nice and crunchy without being overly greasy. The fries are good. The new sandwich is worthy of being in your rotation. Overall, a decent meal, appropriately seasoned, at a somewhat reasonable price in today's market.

Not a big fan of double fried Korean fried chicken, but we were meeting some friends in the area, but it was quite expensive. It's pretty much a fast food setting, not decorated as a sit down restaurant. Fried chicken, plus wings, fries, plus one beer, one tea and two waters for $100 dollars. Not impressed at all.

Took 30 minutes to get out food on a slow weekday. There was no one in front of us they were simply prioritizing mobile orders. When we did get the food it was meh. The chicken itself was not moist or flavorful. The only flavor came from the sauce and even then it wasn't enough to justify the price and 30 minute wait. Never again. The fries and rice are basic nothing special.

My favorite Korean fried chicken restaurant ever! Love them in the Bay Area, CA and Washington, DC, and this Dallas location continues the great quality chicken and service! Get the soy garlic! You can't go wrong! The chicken skin was crispy and had a good amount of soy garlic on it. Ample seating indoors and quick service as well.

I was ecstatic when I saw that Dallas had a Bonchon! I'm from California and we have this in the Bay Area and it's one of my favorite chicken places of ALL TIME! I always get the spicy chicken with ranch and the flavor is some of the best I've had for a "fast food" place. We have catered a few times for sports games at our home and I prefer this over pizza for game night anyyyyy day! Highly recommend :D

Not much to say here, The chicken was soggy.. I am used to crispy crunchy chicken from Bonchon , smh, fix it please 2 stars because the service was good and the fries where fresh. Again if you like soggy chicken come to this location.

Been here once before and sampled a variety of different things on the menu. It's fast casual so you order at the counter and they bring you the food. Got the 20 wings for $20 special for their 20th anniversary. Not sure how long it lasts but it started on 9/12/22. Normally it's $28 for the same order. Half soy garlic and half spicy. It's Korean fried chicken so double fried so it's pretty crispy. The first bite into the spicy wings I thought it was pretty spicy but then I got better. Half and half was a good choice. One thing I noticed was that the boneless wings are cheaper than the regular wings which I thought was interesting. Thought it was pretty good and it was a good price too.

Curiosity got the best of me, and I am glad it did. I was craving some wings and heading to a wing restaurant, and I remembered seeing this place offered Korean wings, so I stopped by. I ordered 5 drumsticks ($9.99) and a side of seasoned fries ($3.49). I chose the soy garlic and the spicy sauces. Both were delicious. The spicy one WAS spicy, but very flavorful. The drumsticks were huge and the fries came in a good portion. I was full with 3 pieces, but kept eating because they were that tasty. Will come back and keep exporing the sauces and other menu items.

Bob chon literally DOES NOT MISS.. They cook their chicken to excellency and the sauce on it is mouth watering.. They are right by my office and I have to convince myself some days not to go there for lunch every single day (because it's obviously fried).. But man.. great food.. it's a clean environment with a lot of seating. So you can just hang out and eat with friends I normally get the same lady at the counter and she's literally the nicest lady ever ! 5/5 stars you HAVE to try it

This is a great spot for a quick bite for lunch for groups or solo. I appreciate the bar style seating for days I have lunch alone. I ordered Togo but there is tons of seating and very clean. The staff is helpful if you're not too sure what to order. My favorite are the original and soy sauce wings. Their seasoned fries are also delicious!

Bonchon has a great atmosphere with lots of natural lighting, a tidy interior, and cute decor. Service was super friendly and helpful; the lady at the counter went out of her way to bring us our tray and was super kind! I ordered the chicken sampler with soy garlic sauce, Mac & Kimcheese as the side, and a vanilla chocolate chip mochi. The chicken was delicious and so crisp. The soy garlic sauce was a nice semi-tacky consistency and had amazing flavor. The cuts of meat were very high quality; usually I'm kind of picky with my chicken and hunt for imperfections, but there was nothing to find! The Mac & Kimcheese had delicious savory flavor; I'm still thinking about it! I'd never tried mochi before but am so glad I did. The doughy outer layer was so soft and gave way to yummy cold ice cream. I definitely recommend all three of these items! I only dock a star because the place is generally kind of pricy and I'm not quite sure you get a good amount of food for the money. It's definitely high quality and very good, but I'm not sure how full you'll be after $15. All in all, was SO impressed with Bonchon and can't wait to return and bring friends!

I tried this place yesterday, and I'm not ashamed to throw two thumbs waaaaay up! The sweet red chili sauce chicken was fire. The mac n kimcheese was the best I've had outside of my grandmother's house or Del Frisco's, and my 2 year-old and I were fighting over the Mochi dessert - I'd call this a win. lol There was a slight stench when I walked in and I almost turned around, but so glad I didn't. The lady that helped me was super kind and explained my options well. I will definitely throw this place in to the rotation.

Love Korean fried chicken! We got the 12 piece half and half. The flavors (soy garlic and spicy) are both so good and the size of their wings are pretty big. We were also impressed by their Korean tacos and seasoned fries! I'm definitely going back for more wings!

Everything has changed with new management. Chewy fatty chicken, stale rice and flat drinks. I was not allowed to mix sauces anymore or have extra on the side, even if I paid. The manager on staff made up some story about the sauce changing flavors if he gave me some... didn't make since but after this experience I'm done with this place.

First of all, I'm so glad that Bonchon isn't around the corner from me, otherwise I'd be there TOO OFTEN. The sweet red chili and soy garlic wings are SO GOOD, and I really enjoyed the Japchae - something I hadn't tried before but was SO DELICIOUS. Also I'm a big fan of anything with bulgogi so it won major points for me. Shout out to Bonchon in Addison, TX - and the service was superb!

So I learned a little about Bonchon during my trip in for lunch today. When I lived in Washington, DC there were Bonchons everywhere! I was super sold on the idea of franchising locations in Texas for a while! We eventually gave up on chicken slinging dreams but continued to stay fans of the product. When moving back to Texas, I was bummed that there weren't any here! Well I learned through this Yelp event that there are! The Addison location is one of the few corporate owned location and it shows. Jimmy, the manager, took great care of us. The storefront is clean and everything was top notch. This is one of their new Fast Casual concepts but don't let that fool you. I would say the service was even better than their sit down concepts. I highly recommend the bone in wings / drumsticks and the Mac and cheese! So tasty!!!

Korean fried chicken here is below average. It was too salty. bbqChicken is much better. The fried rice was awful - it wasn't properly mixed (there were still chunks of white rice) and the flavor was just bland. Quite disappointed.

I want to start off by saying that the staff here is extremely helpful, funny, friendly and courteous. I've been to some KFC's (Korean fried chicken) places where I felt like I was a bother to the staff but not here! I felt extremely welcomed and both the manager and lady working the cash register were inviting and gave really good recs on what I should order based off my palate. Service here was extremely fast as well, I think I waited a total of 5 to 6 minutes for my food. When I went back up to purchase sauces for my fries they just gave them to me without purchasing, which I thought was just so sweet of them! I Love it when staff care like that. It's always the little actions that make a difference for me. NOW TO THE FOOD. I wish I could have recorded the crunch sound when I took a bite of the chicken leg. It tasted SO GOOD and CRUNCHY yet the meat was perfectly cooked and juicy and not dried out. I choose to get the soy garlic flavor (I usually get spicy so this was completely 180 for me) I genuinely enjoyed the flavor of it. There's no kick to it and the sauce is slightly on the sweeter side but since I got the Spicy Mayo sauce it was the perfect balance. I also ordered the Mac n Kimcheese and HOLY MOLY SO FREAKIN GOOD. I could honestly eat that all day EVERYDAY! It wasn't spicy at all but still SUPER flavorful. The seasoned fries were also perfect however slightly on the colder side but still smacked! I legitimately can't wait to come back here with my friends and family ! It was definitely worth the trip

Our go to korean fried chicken spot! We always get the 20 piece wings in spicy flavor and it's more than enough for my bf and myself. I love that the spicy flavor is actually spicy for people like us who enjoy the burn :p One thing that I love about bonchon compared to some of the other KFC places is the texture of their glazed wings. I really like the harder crunch of the glazed batter on their wings compared to some of the more "soft" crispy texture a lot of other places have. I feel like this retains the texture of the wings better than other places where the wet seasoning will make the wings super soggy really fast. That's really what it comes down to for me that makes bonchon my go to KFC spot. Special shoutout to Tyler who always makes sure we get our order out fast and accurately!

Change the name to JAPCHAE because that's pretty much the only dish they beasted. Tender sliced ribeye sautéed with fresh veggies, soy garlic and glass noodles. Pure perfection. Solid 2 for me. I was greeted with a smile which was rejuvenating but the spicy chicken fried rice & white rice were inedible. The rice had a mashed potato consistency, no lie. JUST TERRIBLE. They also forgot my cole slaw in my to-go order. OH THE AGONY! The fries, boneless wings, and bone-in wings had a fantastic crispiness but all were oh so very cold. The Japchae is the only dish I'd return for, but $51 on a lunch for two is another factor that'll keep me away from this place.

Despite all the negative reviews, my boyfriend & I went ahead and gave Bonchon a try since this is their second attempt at coming to Dallas from the East Coast. We ordered the half n' half wings which came with half soy garlic half spicy wings and a complimentary side (korean radish, white rice, or coleslaw). The chicken was nice and crispy and filled with so much flavor! If you like spicy, I would definitely recommend the spicy wings. It has that spicy kick that you wouldn't normally find in Korean fried chicken. The service was great and our food came out pretty quickly. It was only about a 10 minute wait for our chicken to come out? My only complaint is that the wings are on the smaller side for how pricey it is, but overall I'd give this place a 4.5/5.

By a mile, my favorite fried chicken in DFW. Like, it's not even close. When Bonchon first hit Dallas years ago, I loved it - maybe too often. When they closed the location nearest to me, I was crushed. Recently, I found out they have a store in Addison, and I've been back WAY more than I should. Both chicken options are amazing. Flavors and crunch abound! The kimchi, pickled daikon, season fries, and coleslaw are all perfect sides to match that chicken. I'll be back for the rest, and can very highly recommend this restaurant wherever yiu find it. EDIT: I am allergic to sesame, and that means most of the Korean food I eat is something I've made at home. No chin has a lot of wonderful food I can eat without worrying, and the staff was super-helpful in telling me what was safe.

We got the Combo 4W+2D which to me is 4 wings with 2 drumsticks. But in reality it's 2 small wings 2 small drumsticks and 2 large drumsticks. Had a discussion with staff and apparently I am wrong. Either it's false advertising because we were looking forward to eating WINGS!!!! Needless to say, hate when we don't get what we want!

Wing and drum combo with season fries. Usually love Bonchon for their crunchy chicken and fries! This location on Beltline is not on point. Fries are fresh and crunchy but the chicken was so soggy. I brought my mom for the first time and I'm so disappointed that I didn't take her to the Frisco location instead. Service was fast but food was not great. I would rather them take a little long for better quality.

I'm sure Bonchon is ... okay... when not in an area that has an extensive Korean population, but that is not Dallas. Breading is meh, two basic sauces and a couple of specialties being offered. There are much, MUCH better choices. Bbq chicken, Hot Some, tons of places around any HMart.

Delicious! One of my favorite Korean fried chicken places ever! It's almost always empty every time time I've gone. And they keep it warm inside. But the food is always delicious and the chicken is HUGE.

Great taste, good service. Unfortunately, this past week was a huge let down. They used to serve ample fried chicken drumsticks. 4 wings, 2 drumstick was my usual order. They gave me what looked like 6 wings for $12 and change. I asked the worker that I thought I ordered drumsticks. He said their new supplier gave them the smaller size and they are looking into a new supplier. In knowing that information, it should have been fair warning. There was no discount for the size difference. I would have ordered something else if the workers were transparent about the change. I have attached an image of a previous order on the left and current order on the right. Will not be returning. It good while it lasted.

I tried the chicken strips and regular fries. The food tastes great but it doesn't hold heat well. A 5 minute drive home and I had to reheat the food. Also I spent over $20 bucks and some of the strips were not whole pieces. Kind of disappointed about that. Overall the service was good and food prepared on time.

Good food and even better customer service. But at the end of the day, there are too many good fried chicken places that charging $12 for a chicken sandwich won't convince me to come here again. And to be honest, Mike's, Gus's, BWW literally right next door, bbq fried chicken (also from Korea) and so many others that are better, I just don't see why I should come here especially when it's a bit of a drive away. Worth a try but they need to do a lot more to differentiate themselves to earn more business.
