"Pastry chef Amanda Bankert, a native of Washington, D.C., worked as a pastry chef in Dublin for 10 years before moving to Paris and picking up a small home fryer at a yard sale. This was the beginning of her ascension as the doughnut queen of Paris, a reign she earned by using the highest-quality ingredients to make her doughnuts fresh several times daily. Then in 2019, she revised all of her recipes to make them vegan. “I didn’t announce I was going vegan (for reasons of health and the environment), so my customers were pretty excited when they discovered that vegan could be delicious,” she says. Although vegan donut shops in major cities are no longer as rare as they used to be, this might be the only one in Paris AND it stands out from others because of its puffy airy pastry. Vegan donuts have a tendency to be a little dense, and these are not. There is creativity in preparation, with filled donuts, some arranged as sandwiches, and others in a more traditional style. We went here twice and the selection was somewhat different the second time. They have a small seating area, and a toilet (but it was out of order when we were visiting).

All donuts are vegan which is amazing. But they were too sweet and greasy for me :/ I normally like desserts but this donut was too much in terms of sugar. Plus, most of the donuts are 6€ each which I think is a bit overpriced. I tried the raspberry donut on Saint Valentine’s day so it was in a heart shape (cute ^_^). Again I know that donut is not an healthy thing, but I wished that at least there would be some healthier maybe less greasy options.

Easily one of my favorite places to get sweet treats. I love that they’re vegan but you wouldn’t even know it, their doughnuts and other baked goods are so delicious. I often can’t decide what to get when I’m here and end up taking way too many donuts home. So many unique and fun flavors. I love their pumpkin cake donuts that they release in the fall, I wait for it all year. Their cassis veignet is another favorite I hope they bring back.

I love this place. Amazing donuts - the classics are fantastic and there are always some cool seasonal editions to try, too! The staff are always happy and friendly, and there is a small area to sit in, with free water provided, although in busy periods this quickly gets full. I definitely recommend Boneshaker! 👌🏼

A quaint donut shop with the BEST vegan donuts. I tried the “Veignet.” Definitely recommend to vegans and non-vegans in Paris.

As a vegan, I was thrilled to find a place that sells vegan donuts in Paris. All of their donuts are made daily from scratch and in house too. I had to try their traditional glaze one and a seasonal fall flavored one that was apple pie inspired. I almost felt guilty eating these as they tasted so good. I would have ordered more had I had more time. Staff spoke English which was super helpful. They were also very kind and passionate about their food which I found very inspiring. A definite must go to if you want good donuts in general!
