Try the brunch paella with chicken, chorizo, and eggs, or order a tortilla española platter that comes with pan con tomate. The large, attractive space is distinctive from Boqueria’s other locations by serving breakfast, starting at 6:30 a.m. on weekdays. "Located at 260 West 40th St. between Seventh and Eighth avenues, I find Midtown West’s new Boqueria expands the NYC tapas mainstay with a six-spit rotisserie for chicken and whole suckling pig and a full breakfast program; it opens extra early at 6:30 a.m. daily for café con leche and pastries at the bar or full-service dining with dishes like tortilla or a chorizo, egg, and cheese sandwich. The rest of the menu stays true to the Barcelona-style tapas the group is known for—pan con tomate, grilled octopus (pulpo), seafood paella, churros, sangria—and market-driven seasonal specials. It’s a relatively large location with a 20-seat bar, an 85-seat dining room flanked by 27-foot windows, a 20-seat outdoor patio, and 24 seats along an open kitchen where the rotisserie lives. Open since 2006, Boqueria has grown from its original Flatiron location into Soho, the Upper East Side, Fort Greene, and now Midtown West (plus one in D.C.), and it reads as a friendly, neighborhood-reliable spot especially well-suited to groups.
