"In the heart of Little Venice, this handsome regional edifice on the banks of the Lauch belongs to chef Jean-Yves Schillinger. A tasteful contemporary decor sets the stage for a culinary cast drawn from near and far: cassolette of prawns and Thai veggies; red mullet, baby artichokes and a rouille sauce with Alsace saffron; wafer-thin apple pie, butterscotch and vanilla ice cream…" - Michelin Inspector

We had a reservation at Bord’eau and were seated outside by the water. A beautiful, peaceful spot where ducks and swans drifted past. I started with the bean salad, which was refreshing and light, with pickled onion scattered throughout that added a lovely zest. For my main, I chose the vegetable risotto, and it was outstanding: robust in flavour, packed with fresh seasonal vegetables, and layered with just the right balance of tartness and umami. I finished with an espresso and a few small sweets, the perfect close to a memorable meal. Wonderful experience and I’ll definitely be returning!

Very good service, good food, excellent desserts. Good atmosphere, nice surroundings. However, the portions are rather small (excluding the desserts) and I don't think it was quite worth the money for me.

Wonderful meal on a beautiful terrase. They were great with kids and had a children menu (which was still nicely plated and made them feel like part of the celebration). Very good wine list.

We had a nice experience at Bord'eau. The food was excellent, the price is reasonable and the service couldn't have been better.

Wonderful experience dining here. The wait staff were incredible and very polite. Great bottle of Reisling set the tone. The food was delicate and well prepared. Great experience

Excellent dinner, very reasonable in pricing. Enjoyed all dishes. We also stayed at their guesthouse: excellent location, nice and comfortable apartment with a welcome cake, fruits, water, tea and coffee. We will come back!

Let’s just call this a very good Parisian style restaurant at reasonable prices compared with Paris. Given the numerous touristic, run of the mill restaurants in the old town, this is quite a stand out, pricier than most, but worth it if you’re tired of cafeteria style tourist places. The outdoor patio seating was spectacular, right on the little Venice canal, offering picturesque views and fun people watching.

What was supposed to be a final evening celebrating our anniversary in the beautiful city of Colmar, it was met with such disappointment. Reservation details requested outdoor seating, but understand this may not always be accommodated. However, not one member of their staff acknowledged our anniversary, which is a first. Staff not friendly from the first contact, and order taken within 5 minutes of sitting down. What was truly shocking was that our meals were delivered within minutes of orders placed that I sat there in disbelief. This validates food prepared in advance and appeared it sat for a period of time. When wine was poured, it was so fast, I was concerned it was going to spill. I could go on and on, but was hoping to make it a long evening. Unfortunately, it was cut short and apparent they wanted it this way. It was so odd we couldn’t wait to pay and depart.
