"Despite raising over $250,000 in crowdfunding to keep dog cafe Boris & Horton open, the team closed its Brooklyn location shortly after — a move that received some criticism. Now, its lone location in the East Village is also shutting down. On Instagram, the co-owners Logan Mikhly and Coppy Holzman are seeking a buyer. “Unless new ownership is found,” they wrote, “we will be closing our doors this month.” After the crowdfunding at the announcement of the Brooklyn closing, some donors questioned where the money went; the owners said it paid salaries, upgrades to an HVAC system, and refrigeration." - Melissa McCart
