The 20 Best Bakeries In Paris - Paris - The Infatuation

"Sourcing for the world’s best picnic is easy on rue du Nil, where Terroirs d’Avenir’s specialty butcher, fishmonger, cheesemonger, and greengrocer are shoulder-to-shoulder on the picturesque cobbled alley. Their cozy bakery is packed with country loaves and viennoiseries, including one of Paris’ best kouign amanns, a buttery Breton creation so rich it’ll drench the paper bag you bought it in faster than you can say kouign amann. You’ll also find a wide variety of dense sourdough breads like the pain du Nil with a close crumb that makes it ideal for toasties. Do not skip the "crousti-flan," a mini flan with a pastry base so sticky it’s basically solid caramel." - sara lieberman, emily monaco

The 15 Best Bread Bakeries in Paris | Eater

"Part of the strip of shops on Rue du Nil that make up the sustainable agriculture organization Terroirs d’Avenir (terroirs of the future), this boulangerie serves sourdough breads inspired by the organization’s mission. Focaccia, multigrain tin loaves, and all manner of breads are on offer. The boulangerie is only a stone’s throw from the primeur (fresh market), a fish shop, and a butcher, so you can have dinner sorted out before you reach the end of the block. Located in the 2nd arrondissement. Dayna Evans" - Dayna Evans

I have eaten several croissants in Paris this one was by far my favourite so crispy fresh and buttery everything you would ask for! Also one with the nutella was good whole pieces of nut kind of made it hard to eat I would prefer it as smaller chunks of nut still good regardless.

My dude, Paris is hit or miss for food. Some of the pastries are amazing, some of the places are great. Flip of a coin if the people are nice. However, this is a place to go check out. They are kind French people, with amazing pastries. I mean the chocolate croissants, bear claws, and selection is top notch. This place is def out of the way, in a small alleyway, but worth going to for sure. We went on August 4th, 2024 and it was the best stop before going to explore the city of Paris. Huge fan everyone.

We stayed nearby and, after reading the glowing reviews, I had to check it out — and I’m so glad I did! Locals really do know best. The queue moved quickly, and every pastry, baked good, and dessert was absolutely incredible 🥹🥖🍓 The staff were lovely, and the coffee was great too. A perfect Parisian bakery experience!

The croissant 🥐 was one of the best I had in Paris! Nice shop that’s hidden. There’s samples too! Awesome

So many people were working efficiently here, which made ordering quick and easy. Everything was delicious — thank you for everything! We had an amazing experience and truly felt like we were in a French movie. I would definitely come back!

I tried the plain croissant from Boulangerie Pâtisserie Terroirs d’Avenir, and wow — it was hands down the most buttery croissant I’ve ever had in my life. Not necessarily in a good way? The bottom was practically yellow with butter, and I swear I could pinch it and watch the oil ooze out. That said… the taste? Absolutely delicious. Rich, flaky, and flavorful — it’s indulgence on another level. Honestly, what the heck — when in Paris, right? If you love your pastries unapologetically buttery, this one’s for you. Just maybe bring a napkin (or five). We also got a flan and it was pretty bad. Avoid!

I’m sure there are numerous wonderful boulangerie-patisserie spots in Paris…but this was my clear #1. This is the best croissant that I have tasted in the city. I have visited Paris/France 8-times over the last 20 years and will certainly come back to this place on every future trip.

Google
The best boulangerie ever!!! Best croissant in Paris. We enjoyed every single bite. In a very quiet, small and cute street, with some local and traditional food markets around. Probably you’ll find a short line, and maybe have to wait 10-15 min. But I promise it deserves every second you’ll wait. I highly recommend this place. If you like French original boulangerie, this is a must.

Yelp
Really cute bakery that's tucked away in a nice alleyway. The croissant I had was nice and flakey and the brioche was incredibly delicious and perfect. I really like brioche breads and this lived up to my expectations. The clerks were very friendly - they were patient while I was being very indecisive with the food options and even gave me an extra croissant. I would recommend this bakery and would be happy to return.

Yelp
Unfortunately my fav "Boulangerie La Parisienne" was closed on Saturday and this one was the closest. The neighborhood is cute. The boulangerie looks cute. However, the items look and are very greasy. Make sure to also grab one or better a couple napkins to clean the fingers. True for croissants, pains au chocolat, pains aus raisains. ... and one more comment: I spoke French (with a Swiss accent for sure) but I find it highly disrespectful to be answered in English. Just a sign of total arrogance and not a good business model. If available, I would recommend to go to above-mentioned alternative).

Yelp
Wow, the pain du chocolate. Such a cute little bakery tucked away in a charming alleyway. The clerks were friendly and super patient with my terrible French.
