The Best Restaurants in Brooklyn Heights

"This Lebanese Syrian restaurant is part of a strip of Middle Eastern restaurants on the Atlantic. It’s an easy walk-in spot, popular during brunch, featuring a menu of pistachio croissants, a dukkah-spiced bacon-egg-and-cheese sandwich, and an omelet with parsley and sumac dressing." - Eater Staff, Andrea Strong

Boutros - Review - Brooklyn Heights - New York - The Infatuation

"Boutros is a place in Brooklyn Heights where you can get some food that’s a mix of Middle Eastern, Italian, and American. Expect things like labneh crostini, kale tabbouleh, and pizza with mozzarella and aleppo pepper. It’s an interesting combination, and the food is pretty solid, although we wouldn’t say this place is really destination-worthy. If you happen to live in the area, however, it’s a good spot to know about. Bring some people who want to try something new or stop by with a date when you forgot to make a reservation and need a place that’ll have a table last-minute. There are a bunch of potted plants and hanging Edison bulbs inside, and you can share a pizza and some steak." - Bryan Kim

A group of us went to Boutros for my birthday and we had a fantastic time! We ordered quite a few items off the menu and loved every single thing. For me, the stand out dishes were the mushroom hummus, the half chicken and the fingerling potatoes with toum but honestly I can’t wait to go back to try different things off the menu, as I have full confidence I’ll love them all! We ended our meal with the Mom’s Knafeh. Everything was simply fantastic, the service was attentive without being too much and the atmosphere was just the right amount of lively. 10/10 recommend. This might be our new brunch spot!

Google
Went here with friends for brunch and were genuinely impressed. The menu had a great variety and everything we tried was absolutely delicious - rich Middle Eastern flavors with a modern twist. You can feel the personal touch behind the dishes, like they come from someone’s family kitchen. One highlight was the open kitchen concept - loved watching the chefs in action. The place is lively and clearly popular, and for good reason. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. Their short rib hummus is *out of this world*. Their pita is perfection. We also really liked their take on caesar salad. The cocktail options were very interesting as well. Will definitely be returning again and again!

Google
*VIBES* Lovely restaurant! Great friendly and quick service with a cozy but spacious ambiance. Came here for dinner on a Friday night with a reservation. *FOOD* The mushroom hummus was my favorite, it was nice and garlicky, served with freshly made pita bread. The brussel sprouts were roasted to perfection, but a bit too sweet from the honey. I wouldn’t get the Blue Crab Kousa again, there wasn’t much flavor aside from the mint and the dish was mainly squash. Also got a few drinks but they weren’t too special. Overall would recommend this restaurant mainly for the hummus and nice atmosphere.

Google
Went on a Friday night - at 7pm it was not so packed but by 8pm it was a full house! A cute little spot in the neighbourhood. We got the following: Short rib shawarma hummus - yum! I wish it came with more pita. The pita was delicious as well!! Falafel - our waitress told us it is not a traditional kind, it is creamy inside, and it surely is! And we don’t mind it, quite interesting and yummy! Lamb shank - the price tag is high, and it is a tad bit salty but works very well with the cabbage and the mini pita breads! We were so full so we barely ate the lamb and got it to go. The sad part was when we got home, we realised that the restaurant packed the meat but not any of the sauce and cabbage and hummus that we barely touched.:( Drinks are alright - do appreciate a decent pour of the wine!

Google
Came here for Mother’s Day, a total of 5 people. We ordered 6 dishes to share. The Bulgar Fried Rice, Wagyu Kebab, Octupus Kebab, Labneh and short rib hummus. The portions are unacceptable. The rice is a small bowl that seems like it could be a side order of rice. The kebabs were one skewer. We each got a bite of everything to try and then ordered more pita because we were still hungry. And to add, the plates are pricey. The food is delicious but I can’t see how you’d get full from this place without buying 2 plates of everything.

Google
We were two and got cocktails, two break breads (labneh and short rib), two mezzes (prawns and falafel), the wagyu kebab, and the knafeh for dessert. All incredible but the standouts were the kebab, the labneh, and the knafeh. Friendly service and good portions!

Google
Food was great, drinks probably even better, but I feel cheated. We tried many appetizers and all of them tasted great. I was surprised by how good some of them were. Shawarma was okay, they just wasted good ingredients on an unbalanced dish that only sounds good on paper. The meat is too rich and the acidity of vegetables can't cut through all the fat. Their pricing model of the dips felt like a scam. One costs $15 (which is already a lot) and it comes with a single pita. Inevitably you finish your pita before the dip runs out and you are now forced to order more pitas and they are $4 each. Instead of calling it a $19 dip which people would not buy. Instead, they make it seem like you ordered something extra. Unlike most Mediterranean restaurants they don't have dip sets or a "5 pita bundle".

Yelp
Had a nice lunch here recently and it was amazing! The server/bartender was super nice and gave this amazing recommendation for a drink: the milk&honey - an amazing complex drink with sour, sweet notes and spices. The foam that is usually made with egg white seemed to be made from labneh. So delicious!! Definitely one of the best drinks I've had in a while. The food was really good as well. I love their labneh with zaatar bread. So fluffy and fresh! I got the miso babaghanoush and it was such a savory modern twist on a classic! The lunch specials were quite good as well. I got the short rib shawarma and it was delectable. Overall I would say if you want high quality Middle Eastern with a modern twist, Boutros nailed it! I definitely will be back to try dinner and more drinks!

Yelp
We made reservations for our family on a Friday after having been here a few years back. I'm gluten-free. I wrote this when making the reservation and I told the server before ordering. Since there were no menu call-outs for what to avoid, I had to guess until the server seemed to wake up and say what would work. Then, when the food came, I had to decipher which dishes were which because the server wasn't the one who brought the food over and he didn't come over until we literally waved him down to get the check. I love Lebanese food but everything was mediocre at best. The lamb shank shawarma was $59 and while it was okay, the sauces were bland and it wasn't worth the price. The beets & berries was good as was the pistachio ice cream. The tabouleh was decent as well. However, they need to up their game to compete with so many incredible Lebanese and middle eastern restaurants in the area. Interestingly, my husband who was celebrating a birthday (we were never asked if there was an occasion) thought it was a bit better than I did and might have added a half or a whole star. But, I was disappointed.

Yelp
Have gone to Boutros twice for brunch now and once for dinner. Dinner was a year + ago so I don't remember much except that I liked it. My husband thought it was pretty expensive for the portion size though, so we haven't been back. Brunch is great with the exception of the shakshouka, which sucks =\ I've gotten the croissant which has to be like 1K calories but it's soo so good. I've also gotten the French toast and the short rib shawarma. Both great! Maybe we also did a salad?! Which I remember being nice. Brunch is also much more reasonably priced (comparable with other brunch spots in the area) so this is becoming a regular spot for us. Also RE the shakshouka, I love shakshouka and generally it's my go to bc it's more balanced, but the sauce in this one just tasted like straight canned tomato. Really everything else we've had is good though so I think they just don't do a good shakshouka.

Yelp
Great spot for Lebanese food. Started with labneh and fresh pita. Labneh had honey and nuts on it. Wasn't a huge fan of the nuts being on there but the rosemary gave it a nice touch. The brussels and chicken were very good and definitely not lacking in flavor. The chicken was nice and juicy. The restaurant is nice and cozy, well decorated, and they have a communal table. You can also sit at the bar. I got the milk and honey cocktail which was a bit sweet and might be better as a dessert drink.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a birthday and it was such a beautiful, cozy spot with a somewhat open kitchen. Service was good, server made some great recommendations and explained some menu items. We enjoyed the spreads and dips the most, the Labneh, Mushroom Hummus, and Short Rib Hummus were all good. The pita was soft and fluffy. The spreads were plenty for the table to share. Labneh - very well balanced, just the right amount of tangy, rich but not too thick, topped with truffle honey, crushed hazelnuts and rosemary. sweet and savory, good on it's own or with pita Short Rib Hummus - some of the shredded pieces were dry but the meat had a lot of good flavor, with some pickled onion over plain hummus. The Caesar salad was not well balanced. The lettuce was overly dressed and had too much mustard. The dish ended up being inedible for the table. Skip the salad Grilled Octopus Kebab - the flavor was okay, quality was good and octopus was tender. However, the dish was not hot enough, the red pepper and octopus was cold and the potato puree was lukewarm. I was craving octopus and potato and this did not satisfy my craving Roast Pork Shawarma - this entree was tender and flavorful, large piece of pork shank braised and served with cabbage, radish, and pickled onion, and served with mini pita, garlic tahini and zhoug sauce Overall, the food was good and I would probably come back to try their other menu items. Drinks were good too, my favorite was their Mezcal cocktail. I think it was called Thistle & Smoke or something similar

Yelp
Brunch is SO good!!! The challah french toast and falafel are to die for even though it's a little pricey.

Yelp
Such a good middle eastern spot! Great spot to catch up with a friend or go on a date. I got the hummus, sweet potato, fig toast, duck breast and octopus skewer. Everything was delicious, but my favorite was the short rib hummus. I the short rib was pulled perfectly and paired well with the creamy hummus. The octopus was also very tender

Yelp
This place is definitely added to my list of good brunch spots in Brooklyn. They have unique food combinations that work out well. Their fig and olive toast was delicious and so was their butternut squash kibbeh (better than the one at ilili and that's my favorite in the city!) Their cauliflower shawarma was underwhelming so I'd skip that. As for their challah French toast, it was definitely the star of the show and a must order for folks with a sweet tooth! So happy seeing more Middle Eastern inspired spots in the neighborhood!!

Yelp
Stopped in here to have dinner before we went to see a show at MSG in the city. Very nice place. Lovely decor. Good service good menu. We started off with the short rib hummus that was very different than anything we've had and was absolutely delicious. The homemade pitas are worth going just for that. We had the Wagyu beef skewers, and the octopus skewers both of which were delicious my husband, absolutely loved his spicy margarita that had a little kick to it. Slightly on the pricey side of the quality of food well worth it, and I look forward to going back and trying some more things.

Yelp
It's really pretty inside and the staff is friendly. We had a great time here from start to finish. Everything we ordered was delicious! The drinks were great also. Drinks: The gift - Fig Vodka, Amaro Nonino, Pomegranate, Sparkling Water, Lime Cloud 9 ALB Vodka, Espresso, Coffee Liqueur, Sesame, Tahini Whip 16  Berry Spritz House-made Berry Shrub, Lemon, Rosemary, Sparkling Water Mint Rose Limoncello- I loved how it was presented. They gave you a tray with ice, limoncello, mint and water. You had to mix it according to your liking. That was pretty cool! Appetizers Miso Baba Ganoush Shichimi Togarashi, Furikake, Sesame Oil Short Rib Shawarma Hummus Pickled Onion & Fresno Chili, Parsley This one was my favorite! Their pita bread is delicious! They serve it fresh and hot. Entrees- We ordered a little bit of everything to sample. Falafel Gougéres Garlic Confit Tahini, Fried Chickpeas, Parsley American Wagyu Kebab Fennel Dukkah, Sweet Tahini, Parsley I loved this! Octopus Kebab Red Pepper, Black Olive, Potato Puree My other favorite choice! Monkfish Kebab Harissa, Tahini, Borage Cress It was good but I am not a fan of spicy. So for me, it was too spicy. If you like spice, then definitely get it! Each order of kebabs came with only 1 skewer. We each shared pieces. Surprisingly, we were actually full. Dessert Mom's Knafeh Ashta, Kataifi, Pistachio Ice Cream Wow, this dessert was absolutely amazing! We really enjoyed our experience here. It's also in a great location because there some nice spots to go to for after dinner drinks.

Yelp
This was our first visit for brunch. They take reservations and we were seated right away. It seemed spacious as we weren't crammed against the neighboring seats. We tried the pistachio croissant, short rib hummus, cauliflower shawarma, shakshuka and the lemon pancakes. I didn't particularly care for the shakshuka, but everything else was very delicious. The only con is that the place seems extra pricey. My mock-tail cost about as much as the cocktails, $12+.
google avatar

Uzma S.

Yelp
best french toast in brooklyn. so glad i came here for brunch - the music, vibes, and menu selection were impeccable. was also a lovely surprise to learn the soujak that you can add to the shakshouka is halal! (none of the other meat is tho) will def come back to try other items on the menu, but the french toast is for sure a must and the shakshouka was solid.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Came for lunch with hubby and one baby, and had a great time! It was a weekday, so we had the place to ourselves. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and great to chat with. Everything he recommended on the menu was fabulous!

Yelp
I'd say four stars for the food and three stars for the prices. This spot is surrounded by some incredible middle eastern at low prices and it did not measure up. Their fluffy homemade pita and creamy falafel are delicious but was tempted to go to Sahadi's afterward and get their incredible baba ganoush and hummus after trying Boutros' unique but salty miso baba ganoush and mediocre hummus (but the short rib was incredible)! Fried rice was forgettable. For the price, that's just not okay, so wouldn't come back or recommend but glad to try it.

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite spots for Middle Eastern eats in the city -- every single thing we had here was so delicious. The ambiance was really lovely and the servers are great at recommending dishes. This restaurant is perfect to share dishes family-style. The Labneh here is so special, truly one of my favorite I've eaten. I cannot recommend it enough, am definitely coming back soon.

Patricia M S.

Yelp
We never experienced food like what we had at Boutros. Lebanese food is unique with a flavor synergy that was unexpected and rush-worthy. It was light, bursting with flavor and so gratifying to eat. It made us smile and feel awestruck by it's complexity and bright refreshing flavor palette. I am not going to review each mezza because they were all stellar. Just GO and be wowed.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Wow, the cocktails are amazing. I ordered the Last Exit, and then had a second. It's one of the best drinks I've had in a long while. We shared the octopus skewers, the sea bass, the falafel, and Brussels sprouts. Falafel was served hot and it was creamy on the inside. Pita was fluffy and warm. Everything was delicious and the interior of the restaurant was cozy and modern. This is a nice find in Cobble Hill.

Yelp
Had a spectacular evening here on a Thursday night. I was in absolute awe upon entering this establishment. The decor inside was gorgeous! We started with the short rib shawarma hummus, brussel sprouts, grilled octopus kebab, and American wagyu kebab. The short rib shawarma hummus was superb! They gave a generous amount of tender, flavorful short rib alongside a creamy hummus. I always have hummus stocked in my fridge, but I forget how much better fresh hummus was. However, the star of the show for me was the pita! It was warm, soft, and chewy. I have to thank my fellow yelpers for recommending this dish as a must-try. The rest of the appetizers were good, but nothing too memorable. The American wagyu was not as tender as I thought it would be. I would skip this one. As for the entree, we decided to share the moulard duck breast. There were so many different flavors from this dish that somehow just paired so well together. The tartness of the cherries, nuttiness from the walnuts, meaty flavor of the duck, and the smokiness from the gai lan were truly remarkable. The service was top-notch from beginning to end. I love finding hidden gems in Brooklyn and this is definitely one of them.
google avatar

Brittany C.

Yelp
Having a solo lunch here and it's absolutely delicious. The falafel is slightly creamy inside which I'm not used to but absolutely appreciate, and the mushroom hummus- chef's kiss! Service has been attentive, helpful, and friendly. And all the food tastes majorly fresh. Vibe is very cool and chic and dark, perfect for a date night I'm thinking. I'm absolutely coming back for a dinner with more than just myself!
google avatar

Ang M.

Yelp
Amazing drinks. I got the spicy thyme and was one of the better spicy margaritas I have had in a while. My wife got the ginger gimlet and LOVED it. Vibe is super cute with Edison bulbs all over. Really cute date place. I would love to sit at the kitchen bar next time. As far as food we only had a couple of bites but the short rib hummus and pita are mic drop worthy.
google avatar

Yelp
We had an excellent dinner here Sunday evening with our son and his fiancee. Began with cocktails for three of us and a glass of red wine for Nancy -- Joe and Rosie both enjoyed their Garlic Gibson (not for me however nice the strong garlic flavor!) while I savored the Spicy Thyme, a tequila with cayenne and thyme syrup). Nancy insisted that the spice stay on the side of the Short Rib Shawarma Hummus; it would have been better mixed in. The butternut squash kibbeh was OK; the falafel gougeres were a hit with all. I rather liked beets and berries, but too much beets (yellow) compared to the not-enough berries. The main dishes were the best of the night: Black Sea Bass and Moulard Duck Breast. For dessert we tried the "lebanese doughnuts" small bits of fried dough in a nice orange sauce -- more volume than we needed at the end of a nice evening.
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
It started off strong with the Short rib shawarma hummus and fresh pita. But we weren't fans of the entrees we ordered. For $30 the roasted half chicken was not worth it. The chicken was hard and dry in some parts, and we didn't think the sauce or fries paired all that well as a cohesive dish. The French toast was massive but I think the texture of the whole thing was just too soft, leaning soggy. However this is a really nice ambiance and I would 100% come back to try other things.

Yelp
I came here for brunch with a group of 6, and it was delightful in every way. The great: - super fun menu mixing middle eastern fare with brunch items - The ambiance had a historical feel yet it felt appropriate - near the subway, always a plus - helpful staff Why this place isn't getting 5 stars - The menus is fun, yet confusing. It's like we needed to research to understand how to order. This place is great for: - Group gatherings - 2nd dates - Cousin visiting - a desire for a more exotic brunch Terrible for: - Breakups - smaller venue and noise travels - Easy ordering - People who like the basics

Yelp
I was grocery shopping on Atlantic one evening last week and walked by this place -- the glow of the lights inside caught my eye. It looked so warm and inviting that I was instantly curious about it and quickly checked Yelp to see what type of cuisine they offered (Middle Eastern) and their overall rating (4.5). My stepdad is from a big Lebanese family, so I am always up for trying new riffs on the classics I grew up with. Fast forward to today, a rainy Sunday, when the hub and I were both overly hungry but couldn't quite agree on what we wanted to eat. He recalled that I'd mentioned wanting to try Boutros, so we went with it. When we arrived, the host/server informed us that the kitchen would be closing in 30mn, but that they would be open for another 45mn or so. He was friendly and polite about it and we assured him that we are quick eaters (it's true -- we aren't ones to linger; we're in and out). At least two more parties came in after us, so we felt better knowing that we weren't the only ones sneaking in under the wire. In terms of food, we ordered a few things to share. Two things I knew straight away that I wanted to try were the hummus and the falafel. I was also curious about the butternut squash kibbeh, but the hub doesn't do squash. Another option we considered was the Bulgur Fried Rice. In the end, we went with the Short rib Shawarma Sandwich as the hub loves a good sammie and this one sounded promising. Also, we were both in the mood for french fries and I recalled one of the Yelp reviewers mentioning that they were good. Hummus with short rib -- When I ordered this, our server commented that it's the best thing on the menu, so my expectations were high. The meat was nice and tender, but just a bit salty. The hummus was fine, but I've had better (one of my faves is from Damascus, a little shop a few doors down the street). The fresh pita bread that accompanied this dish was delightfully warm and fluffy. Falafel Gougeres -- I love falafel, so was super excited for this. Sadly, this dish was a complete disappointment. I don't know about everyone else, but my expectation is that falafel will have a nice crispy exterior. While these looked like they would, they absolutely did not; the texture entirely was soft and the interior flavor was meh. The hub wondered if perhaps they'd not cooked them long enough, but I was too embarrassed to ask, particularly as the exterior appearance looked right. The hub liked the fried chick peas that were included with the dish. Short rib Shawarma Sandwich -- Perhaps a bit redundant since we were already ordering a dish with this meat, but I'm glad we went for it as it was the star of our meal, the one thing that would bring us back. Wrapped in a soft, warm pita, the sandwich fillings melded together nicely -- tangy with a touch of heat. While the same meat was a tad salty in the hummus app, it was perfect in this application -- likely as it was balanced out by all the other flavors -- and it was pleasingly tender and juicy. While the french fries could have been a bit crispier, they were still enjoyable. If we had ordered only the hummus and falafel, my rating would be three stars. The crave-worthy sandwich, along with the warm atmosphere and friendly service, brings my rating to four stars. The overall atmosphere is nice, as is the service, so thumbs up there.

Yelp
The best French toast you will ever have. Staff is really intimate and literally will remember you and your order. Great service but who knew how much I needed French toast with pistachio
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
The short rib hummus is to die for, the falafel is also a must order, I've never had anything like it before! We ordered the duck as an entree to share and were surprised as to how large the portion was, enough for three hungry girls to share and then some. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
What a wonderful place for a rainy day brunch. It's not super crowded and busy. Service is the top with caring waitresses and amazing bartenders. Thank you Ambiance is top notch. It's comfortable and not too over the top. Their focus is on the food and that part isn't lacking. I bet this place feels like a great date spot at night. Food is great. I had the short rib hummus with pita bread. And pita bread is the main focus. It's so fluffy and delicious from the hot oven that I can imagine any better. We asked for more breads. French toast is can use a little more sauce but it's not too sweet. I am not a fan of the cloud 9 drink as it's sweet and no spicy at all. Service is wonderful and we got water all the time. The table is ready as rsvp. Great place for a brunch with friends and have conversations. Not loud but we might make the place a little

Yelp
I came here with a friend for weekday dinner. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. I love Mediterranean food so I was excited to try this place. We got the labneh dip, heirloom tomato and burrata, grilled octopus skewers, and duck breast. Price wise, it's a little on the pricey side but not too bad for NYC. The food was all pretty good, but the standout item was definitely the labneh dip with pita. It comes with truffle honey drizzled on top, hazel nuts and rosemary. The dip was our favorite thing and my friend even got one to go. Not 100% sure I'd come back, but if I do, I will 100% get the labneh dip again.
google avatar

Dayo E.

Yelp
The place was really nice. Great ambiance, quiet brunch location at least on the day we went. Lots of great Mediterranean options and the most amazing challah French toast. Had a couple of drinks as well and they were lovely. French toast is a must. Brunch menu is great. Service was great as it wasn't very busy that day. Will be back

Yelp
Food is a love letter. It allows someone access to our culture and it's a window into our lives and our influences. I had the honor of sitting down with amazing company, enjoying amazing food. @boutrosbk is a love letter to the Middle East. @chef_allen_dabagh was gracious enough to host us and was one of thee best accompaniments to the meal. I tried so many amazing dishes. The vibrant colors and flavors were matched by the impeccable service and ambiance. The must haves! 1. The Labneh was perfection and the fresh warm pita was to die for. 2. Short Rib Shawarma Hummus will change the way you see the store bought stuff! 3. The bulgar fried rice was nutty and changed my lifeee. 4. The roasted half chicken was seasoned to the nine, juicier than my butt after a workout, and had this delicious herb mound. 5. The Beef Bavette melted in my mouth and the chard asparagus was delightful. 6. The scallops with the watermelon radishes were delicate and delectable. We ended the meal with sweets and washed it down with a few bevies! I want to thank @domnthecity for inviting me out for this amazing meal and experience. I feel more motivation than ever to pursue my foodie dreams and passions! Y'all better make a reservation before I do! And a little birdie said they'll be serving oysters soon but y'all ain't hear it from me! - The Brooklyn Aunty SaltandSavor on Insta!

Yelp
Went for a drink and a snack and I would go back, food is modern middle-Eastern cuisine. Tried the CLOUD9 and MIELE-O YELLOW cocktails. As appetizers the MISO BABA GANOUSH is amazing and the FALAFEL GOUGERES is good too. A bit pricey if I had to point out something.

Aya B.

Yelp
Wanted to love this so bad but it was such a disappointment. Short rib hummus was good but not anything special. We ordered the tabbouleh as well as the pork shank. Tabbouleh was a joke, big bowl of sliced kale and 5 tomatoes with lemon and oil- didn't even come close to tasting like the real deal. Whole Foods has better!! The pork shank was even more disappointing, my mom could've cooked it better. The taste profile, salt. That's it. Served with veggies and 3 sauces. And for the price point I'm in shock truly. Server was nice and accommodating, but would not recommend to anyone and will definitely not be returning. No depth in flavor, overpriced, overhyped- you can definitely get better authentic Mediterranean down the street don't wast you're time here :)

B T.

Yelp
Delicious and flavorful middle eastern staples done with small unique twists. Loved the mushroom hummus and the squash. The kibbeh had a bit of a soft texture, the shakshuka was more sauce- and less egg-based, and the shawarma was heavy on the beets. Overall a good visit, have recommended it to others and would return after seeing the menu turn over in time with new items to try.

Yelp
It was our second visit and they didn't disappoint! Our last visit was for dinner and this time we went for lunch to try their challah French toast. First of all, the portion was HUGE - two thick slabs of bread. They were toasted well on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside. The pistachio butter was very flavorful and unique. The beef shawarma sandwich my partner ordered was also delicious. The server was friendly and attentive just like the last time. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Amazing and inventive dishes, beautiful ambience and great service. Felt old and new all at the same time.

Yelp
Honestly, underwhelmed by the food there - it was just broadly pretty bland and under spiced, and the cauliflower wrap was different temperatures for each ingredient. Service is good though!

Yelp
Hands down one of the best eating experiences I've had in a while . It was pretty empty when we came and that was nice . The decor is beautiful and simple . I had the homemade ginger ale and we had the Miso Baba Ganoush and the mushroom hummus . I really thought both was sooooo beautifully flavored and the pita bread ,the pita bread was so warm it was so gooood omg lol. My favorite was the mushroom hummus . It had a slight sweetness to it . I enjoyed both so very much . We also had the Fluke Crud which was so interesting and the falafel was the smoothest ever and perfect crunchy exterior . Our server was super attentive and kind and I just really loved this place . And I would recommend getting like 4 to 5 things on the menu and sharing it . Delicious delicious delicious . I will for sure be back ! And the price range is very decent for the high quality food you're getting . Keep doing your thanggggg

Yelp
We came to Boutros on a Monday night for a nice dinner. I had just received some good news and I was feeling a bit adventurous. The interior is beautiful and they have indoor and outdoor dining options. We chose the indoor option where we were seated next to the window. We ordered the Short Ribs Hummus, Roasted Sunchoke, and Pork Shank Tacos. It seems like their menu does change a bit but I had seen some pictures of the massive pork shank so I had to get that. I was pleasantly pleased with the portions we got for the meat and the pork was nicely seasoned. For the roasted sunchoke, I wasn't sure what I was expecting because I've never had sunchokes before. I would describe it close to a potato starchy taste and liked how the dish came with different textures (crispy fried sunchoke pieces) and more soft baked ones. I also liked the contrast in the sauces with the soft cheese. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal at Boutros. It has a nice spin to middle eastern food that I have not experienced before. The price tag is a bit steep so I would recommend coming here on those nicer date nights rather than a casual place to come to.

Yelp
I would leave a ZERO star if I could. Very disappointed because all the dishes were no taste or taste bad... kale salad - no taste, pork shank - only for presentation, tasted salty and dry. Worst experience ever, don't even give a try. Not worth it.

Yelp
It's a nice restaurant in Brooklyn area , they have outdoor seating space , their indoor isn't too big but nicely designed and organized, kinda of crowded so reservation is needed, Menu seems limited but has enough for everyone's liking A Lebanese restaurant with unique modern food combination from multiple traditions and great taste starting from the freshly baked pita bread to the shawarma to the shakshuka to the labne .... Finishing with homemade unbelievably delicious Kanafe (Best of the Best) Recommended

Yelp
Such a wonderful lunch. So many great flavors. Can't wait to return for dinner. Must try the Miso baba ganoush with made to order pita! Everything we had was so delicious.

Yelp
Came here for a dinner with friend because they have an outdoor seating area. I dont really have much to say about the dish since it is just really average. I ordered the shishito peppers with crispy noodles and the white crispy thing on top of the pepper definitely was not what I expected as noodles. Anyways, the peppers are pretty spicy and the sauce is creamy and sweet so it kind of neutralized the spicy taste. However, i will put a big question mark if it is worth $15 just for a plate of peppers The other thing is that there was only one waitress lady and there are a lot of customers so we also waited long to make the payment or even to get her attention but overall still tolerable. I am not sure if I will want to come back again.

Yelp
Service: The pair of us were seated quickly on a Saturday brunch time. Once seated, the service was relatively slow and we spent a while before putting in our order, waiting for our order, and especially waiting for the check. We had to pop inside to get our check processed so we could leave. Food: We ordered the labneh, avocado toast, and arayas. The labneh was standard. The arayas had a good peppery kick but otherwise a bit bland. My dining partner enjoyed the avocado toast. Ambience: It was very busy with a youthful crowd. There was a growing line after we had seated. Value: It seemed fair pricing for the quality and the area, but an otherwise average experience. I would recommend picking another option for brunch if you have the ability, but it was nice to be able to walk in without a reservation.

Yelp
Food: got the short rib schwarma sandwich and the butternut squash kibbeh. Short rib schwarma: 3/5, big portion but the sour taste of the beets became overwhelming near the end. Short rib a bit dry. Squash kibbeh/ 4/5, love the squash purée! Price: around 15-20 per dish/mezze/app, steep but typical of the area Service: 5/5, our server was so friendly and on top of it! Overall: not someplace I'd come back every week but solid atmosphere/food!

Yelp
The ambiance was really nice and great service! However, I ordered the short rib shawarma, but received the roasted cauliflower version instead. It was incredibly seasoned to the extent that it may have been too salty. The French toast was heavenly and the service was fantastic!

Yelp
FOUR STARS for the food. I frequently eat there. But why do they think they can have the lights on outside on a sunny day? We live in a Climate Emergency. Act like it. I told 2 waiters to please turn the lights off. It seems they did not know how to do it. Figure it out, please.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with my fiancé on a Wednesday evening around 7. When we arrived 3-4 of the tables were full and we were seated indoors. Service was good. We were seated promptly, given menus, explained dishes, etc. We ordered a couple of dishes. To start we had the miso babaganoush and for mains we had the duck breast, braised lamb and side of fried rice. Everything was brought out hot and delicious. The flavors were on point and I was really impressed. Portions were generous and we even had some to go. I highly recommend and will definitely be back. Note: they periodically change the menu so if you're looking for something particular you might want to check online first to see if they're serving it.

Yelp
Impeccably casual cool chic space that offers an even more concise & curated menu. We opted for the ribs on hummus, Sunchokes, bulgar fried rice and the pork shank tacos. Drinks were cocktails and good Nebbiolo wine. The bread coupled with hummus was delicious. So was the fried chorizo rice I couldn't stop eating. Sunchokes were amazingly tender and creamy. The pork tacos incredibly was the least impressive dish but still yummy and heavy with smoked paprika, cumin and deep earthy spices.
