The 13 Best Steakhouses in New Orleans

"Chef and restaurateur Edgar Caro’s excellent Brazilian steakhouse is his third restaurant in the New Orleans area. The Cartagena-born Caro churns out Latin American steak cuts like entraña and picanha, or sirloin cap (also known as culotte); chimichurri; filet mignon; aged steaks; whole fish; rotisserie chicken; short rib mac and cheese, grilled skewers of meat and seafood; soups and salads." - Eater Staff, Clair Lorell

Where to Eat in Old Metairie

"Colombian grill master Edgar Caro is the creative chef behind Brasa, a steakhouse that rounds out a portfolio that includes Baru, Basin Seafood, and Zocalo. Don’t mistake this for a Brazilian all-you-can-eat place — Brasa is an upscale, white tablecloth place with starters like avocado stuffed with crabmeat ravigote and an array of steaks brought to the perfect char over a wood-burning grill. Burgers, fish, and chicken too." - Beth D'Addono

The food was incredibly delicious, with a delightful blend of flavors. Our waiter was exceptional, and the entire staff and general were fantastic. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning to try more dishes. 👍

Google
One of the best steak houses in Metairie area! But this place is not your typical steakhouse! It a upscale Colombian steakhouse! You need to try what Chef Edgar can do! Plus their staff is always happy and very friendly!

We were invited to dine with friends at Brasa Churrasqueria and were not certain what to expect. Our server was great, explaining the cocktail offerings in detail. The menu was varied and the food was quite good. I am not experienced with Brazilian cuisine, but the taste was great and everything we had was very good. I will definitely return to try some of the other offerings.

Google
best filet i have ever had!!!! service was wonderful, nice ambiance, and food was delicious! props to the chef for the food and anna for knowledgeable and prompt service!

Google
The food was great. I had the skirt steak, with mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Service was excellent and server was very knowledgeable!

Google
Hands down one of the best Entrana steaks I've had anywhere including Argentina! I wouldn't even look at any other steak on the menu. We liked it so much we ordered a second one to share because everyone was blown away at the taste. Bravo!

Daniela Blagojević

Google
We loved this place. The ambiance is relaxing and the staff was really friendly. Jessica was our server and was really attentive and recommended some really good items from the menu. I am not a big beef fan but I tried my husband’s steak and it was like butter - soft and just melts in your mouth. The dessert was a delicious and really pretty smores cake. Will definitely be back when we come to New Orleans again!

Google
Atmosphere & service was wonderful. But for the price, the food should really deliver. I was not thrilled to pay $50 for a whole fish (with no sides) that didn't have much flavor. The steak was also not cooked to the temperature ordered and again had very little seasoning.

Yelp
I really liked this place flavors were on point. And the ambiance was set dim when you wake up so it's perfect for a cute date or birthday celebration. I wish they would give something special for being in Global Dining Access members on Resy. Even it was mentioned that it was my mom's birthday. But it's all good. Service to the table was good and always checked on us. The only major issue was that the meats were cooked wrong my mothers was cooked almost raw except she didn't noticed when she asked for well done. And my wife's was cool medium well when she asked for medium rare. The dishes we had was the mushrooms as side dish, the potatoes and the carrots. Then we had the 2 picanha steak wagyu burger and another steak.

Yelp
Tuna ceviche was excellent, loved the watermelon! Brisket Mac n cheese was good, but came out with our entree and you could tell it sat under the heat lamp as it was molten lava hot/crispy edges (we still gobbled it). Both steaks were high quality cuts and cooked to perfection. Specialty drinks were tasty; wine was grossly overpriced. Nice atmospheres we enjoyed it.

Yelp
Atmosphere was great, the service was great, my first time trying a carrot soup and it was great, the wine selection as well.

Yelp
Great little restaurant in old Metairie. Very romantic and perfect date spot. Service was excellent as our server was very knowledgeable in regards to the menu. The Caesar salad was good, but bordering on the bland side as it did not have much dressing at all. The potatoes au gratin were the best I have ever had and would come back just for that. My flank steak was grossly undercooked and sent back and then of course over cooked. It wasn't horrible, but I would definitely go with the filet next time. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
We stopped in to try the coolinary menu. The atmosphere was nice! Great for a date however we didn't enjoy the dinner. We hardly ate and when the waiter asked if we'd like it to go I felt bad for what my face said before my mouth could even say no. The service was lacking for a bit to the point that I strongly thought of walking out since no one spoke to us for a good 10 minutes but they were busy so we gave them grace. That and I actually made a reservation for us to go out and I didn't wanna be the one to say let's go somewhere else. It's such a nice place, in a great location I wanted it to be good so bad. My girlfriend loves fancy eating and I hate going to the city. First course: We ordered the Risotto De Zetas it was pretty good and we had the Avocado Asado, the crab meat was very fishy. (Off coolinary menu the Provoleta was good!) Second course: The Lominto had a nasty sauce covering it but the mashed potatoes and grilled carrots weren't bad. The Chuleta also had a nasty sauce and a sweet potato that was inedible. Which is wild it's a sweet potato sprinkle brown sugar on it and you've nailed it. Third course: The chocolate mouse was fine minus the passion fruit being sour. Tres Leches Cake was dry which....

Yelp
We had a party of four with early reservations on a weeknight. We were the only diners in the restaurant. Service was very good, but I was a tad put off by the waiter's very obvious attempts to upsell. Wine was overpriced, but the wine drinkers enjoyed it. White Russians were the best I've ever had. The three steak eaters all raved about their selections (the skirt steak, hanger steak, and filet), and my burger was very good. The avocado asado, empanadas, mushrooms, cauliflower, carrots, and au gratin potatoes all got rave reviews. The bread things were good, but not worth the price in my opinion. Desserts - the s'more pie and tres leche were very good. The Basque cheesecake was good, but I was disappointed that it didn't have the burnt top - the signature of Basque cheesecake.

Yelp
My friends and I had a (mostly) good meal at Brasa with some misses. The ambience here is nice, it would be romantic if it was nighttime, we went when it was still light outside. My friend started with a hibiscus cocktail. It was so sicklingly sweet and tart I would have sent it back but she finished it. Service was sort of spotty all night long, our waiter didn't write anything down while we were ordering and came back five minutes later since he forgot. It wasn't as bad as the person at the table next to us who got a full glass of water spilled on him though. We ended up splitting everything. We started with a caesar salad which they split into two plates (which we didn't ask for) which I guess was to acknowledge that we were sharing but there were three of us? It was still good, though the lettuce was a bit limp. I liked the chicken skin migas a lot though! We got two steaks to share (a hanger steak and a skirt steak, I think) and they were both overcooked. Well done rather than medium rare which we asked for. All the sides were great though! The cauliflower was a huge full head, and had great flavor. The carrots were my friends' favorite. I loved the al gratin and the short rib macaroni and cheese. They were both delightfully cheesy. For dessert we had the basque cheesecake which was definitely just regular cheesecake - it was not burnt on top like a traditional basque cheesecake. Ok, but we wouldn't have ordered it if we knew it was just regular cheesecake. Overall, I would go back again but it needs some tweaks.

Yelp
Nothing I can say but virtually pure perfection. From start to finish the staff is attentive and the food is excellent. You can get "prime aged" steaks a lot of places, but it's clear they know how to pick the cuts and then prepare them well. The starters, wine, sides and everything else that went with the meal were paired excellently. Aside from the white table cloth excellence, the Argentinian influence was nicely infused into the dining experience. My only negative comment is that the server was incessantly attempting to upsell... cocktails, crab enhancements, etc... I get the effort to maximize revenue but it needs to be balanced and I don't need to be saying no all night.

Yelp
This was my first time here. I think the restaurant itself is beautiful. We were in a large party with an early reservation. They make sure to constantly remind you by text and calling as email to make sure you are coming which I did not mind. The service was only ok. Our waitress was not as attentive considering the prices you are paying but the rest of the staff did a good job of clearing and refilling water. The food was flavorful but as with most steak houses, pricey. It because packed in the restaurant and was quite noisy to have meaningful conversations. One of our parties order was also not out in so she had a short wait for her steak. I enjoyed my burger, cauliflower, bread service, chorizo and the delicious tuna ceviche. Overall I enjoyed my experience.

Yelp
For our final Coolinary restaurant this month we made reservations at Brasa. It was my first time here so I was excited for my dinner. In addition to the Coolinary courses we got the empanadas and the short rib mac n cheese. Both were delicious but the mac n cheese was especially good. For my Coolinary courses I chose the tuna ceviche, lomito, and peach bread pudding and got the wine pairing. The tuna ceviche comes with tortilla chips and is bright and refreshing. It was delicious! The lomito was a petite filet, mashed potatoes, broccolini, and a trio of sauces for the steak. The steak was a perfectly cooked medium rare and had a great char to it. The chimichurri sauces and horseradish sauce paired beautifully with the steak. The dessert was my least favorite course. I think the peaches and pears on top of the bread pudding was from canned fruit cocktail. The Lambrusco pairing was delicious though!

Yelp
The food is always fantastic here, the only issue I've ever had is that they are nortorious for always being out of something (or multiple things) on their menu, which isn't large enough to continue to have this issue.
google avatar

Jordan L.

Yelp
Only even heard of this place through Coolinary. I don't know how that's possible. This place was so good. People should be screaming about this place from the rooftops. Did the Coolinary menu so it was three course and I added the wine pairing. Started with tuna ceviche, then lomito for my main, then chocolate pecan pie for dessert. Their ceviche was really good citrusy, fresh, and melt in your mouth no need to chew. It also came with chips to put it on, but I preferred it just scooped out the bowl. Main course was petit filet on mashed potatoes. Ordered medium rare and oh my that was a good piece of meat. It was buttery, seasoned well, and just amazing. One of the best steaks I've had in a while. The dessert was okay. I wasn't crazy about the pecan pie, but the ice cream tasted like it was fresh churned. Also the aperitif with the pairing was a wine type called Lambrusco, which I've never had or heard of. It's a bubbly red and it's delicious.

Yelp
Fabulous food. They did run out of the fish I ordered, but everything was delicious. Service was great. Would go again

Yelp
WOW! Is what I have to say after dining here for dinner this past weekend. It has been a long time since I've dined at a steakhouse locally and actually enjoyed every part of the dinner! For starters the ambiance was perfect for my partner and I's birthday/dinner date. Our waiter (can't remember his name) was very attentive and helped us pick great menu options. The bread service was good and just what we were looking for. Our steaks were both perfect along with the crispy potatoes as a side which were definitively REAL crispy potatoes, fried to perfection! On the house they gave us a birthday dessert - Tres Leches which was yummy! I would definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Yelp
I wanted to give this place 5 stars because I will def go back but we did have a couple hiccups. I made a reservation for 5:00 which is when they open. My husband and I walked in at 5:03 and the maître d' could not find our reservation. Luckily, since they had just opened, we were the only people there so they gave us a table. Second, while our waitress was nice, she was not as attentive and informative as the waiter we observed when others came in after us. He told his table about the special of the day. We were not informed there was a special and did not know to ask about it since it was our first visit. Lastly, the short rib mac n cheese was extremely dry and flavorless. (Never know till you try, just won't order it again). Now, the steaks...5 plus stars!!!! I'm very critical of steaks and usually don't like ordering them. I get my husband to make them at home because they are usually not cooked right, over seasoned, and/or chewy. These steaks were 100 percent worth the money. They were lightly seasoned and lightly charred and still medium rare. Both mine and my husband's steaks were cooked perfectly and very tender. I don't usually like add ons to a steak but the chimichurri complemented the char on the steak very well. We got the al gratin and aligot potatoes. Both were delicious and enough that you could share them and not have to order 2 sides. We ended up taking some home. Our bill was high, but it definitely reflected the food!

Bree P.

Yelp
Our server Anna was AMAZING. She had the best service and recommendations. The short rib was to die for. The mushrooms!!! Delicious and I will endlessly eat the bread. All delicious!

Lauren M.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! Food was delicious,l! Our server, Fernanda was outstanding! She went above and beyond to make our dining experience extra special. My hubby and I went for date night. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Brasa is really a gem of a restaurant! This was my second visit and will not be my last. Wonderfully charming atmospheres, cozy and romantic with a family service feeling. The steaks, all cuts, are perfectly cooked to taste and so flavorful. It's what I always want from a steakhouse but don't always get. I feel like their dishes are something I couldn't recreate at home. I strayed and got the pork chop with a creamy mushroom sauce and sweet potato. It was amazing and ate like a steak. The appetizer was a grilled avocado with lump crabmeat. I also tried the Mac & cheese with braised beef and cannot recommend that enough. I could just go for that side and some sangria and be a happy camper. I've also tried the flank steak with chimichurri I. The oat which was excellent. 10 out of 10!!

Yelp
I visited Brasa for a friend's birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. I had been to Baru, its sister restaurant, and loved it... so I knew it would be special. I had the best redfish ever, it was seasoned to perfection and HUGE. I ate off it for an entire week. It's a a Brazilian steakhouse and the ambiance was nice and romantic. I would absolutely visit again.

Yelp
Patrons be warned! If this restaurant accidentally leaves off a charge for an item, they will go back and charge your credit card without your authorization. A family member of mine went here, split the bill 3 ways with her girlfriends, tipped 25% and left an additional $60 cash tip as they thought that they were being given a bottle of wine as a birthday gift that was accidentally left off the bill. Days later, they all noticed that they were back charged for the wine. I know times are tough for everyone, but what they did was illegal as per American Express. Needless to say, this was an easy dispute and a horribly ran business.

Yelp
Too expensive for just "okay" steak for my taste. Service was good though. Mushroom risotto was pretty good and creamy.

Yelp
The food the atmosphere and the service was excellent. Great ambience. Was seated and served with no problems

Yelp
Great service and Amazing Food. This review is short, sweet and straight to the point. This place is great and that's all I have. Go there, eat great food, enjoy the ambiance and relax.

Yelp
Drove right past it, literally did not see the restaurant sign and had to circle back. Parking is slightly limited. The restaurant sign is tiny, it sits behind another establishment's larger sign. Restaurant Week. I'm a nurse that just worked a full 12-hour shift and came in scrubs because I had reservations for 8:30. We came well before our reservation time like a solid 15 minutes early. I don't know if it's because we were there for restaurant week or if it's because I wasn't dressed all fancy but I think we were pretty much ignored other than taking our order, bringing us our food and delivering the check. I never got my sangria I ordered, no one checked if I received it or liked it until the server gave us our check. My date needed a refill on his sprite but that didn't happen. So, because I didn't have anything to drink and we were finishing up the 1st course appetizers, I asked if I could add the wine pairing to the 3 course meal because again no one check in on us and this should've been a clue. Hands down the tuna ceviche was bomb! Get the tuna ceviche over the avocado Asado if anyone is curious between the two for restaurant week. 2nd course entree went on without any hiccups. The entrana grilled skirt steak paired really really well with the red wine. The entrana was better than the lomito. 3rd course dessert was less spectacular. So the 3 wine pairing were Chardonnay for 1st course, red wine for 2nd course and rose for 3rd course. We both ordered the pecan pie, and the pecan pie shell was so hard, so hard. Then I got a red wine for dessert which was not sweet was so ever and did not pair with the dessert. The red wine tasted and smelled exactly like the red wine I got for the 2nd course.

Yelp
Went for Coolinary. Food was superb as well as service. Some of the tables are too close together which made me a little uncomfortable. But overall i had a good time. It's best that you make a reservation. Will go again.

Yelp
Wow! My first visit to this place was in 2018. I've probably visited Brasa 50 times since then. I've brought family, friends, and co workers to Brasa. I can't believe my review wasn't 5 stars. The skirt steak is always my go to. For sides, I recommend the corn and mascarpone cheese mashed potatoes. Ocasionally we will dabble with the bread board (called Panes de la Casa on the menu) which has three different breads, pao e queijo, rosemary focaccia, and fried polenta. All are delicious. Everything is a la cart but so worth it. Make sure to ask the bartender for a blueberry martini. It's not on the drink menu but they make a good cocktail. Can't wait for their new location on Canal St as I drive from uptown for this gem in Old Metairie!

Yelp
This has been my go to restaurant for birthdays the past couple years! Definitely on the pricier side, but they have more affordable options while still getting the full experience of fine dining. Every appetizer is so unique and full of flavor and the entrees are just soemthing you have to try. My personal favorite is definitely the wagyu beef burger and the tuna ceviche. Would recommend who wants a great experience without having to go to the city!!
google avatar

Yelp
Price: 7/10 Food: 10/10 Service: 8/10 Environment: 7/10 Experience: 9/10 Great place! The Tuna Ceviche is ADDICTING! We ordered it like three times in one sitting! All of the appetizers were great and all of the steaks were seasoned and cooked to perfection!
google avatar

Yelp
Caesar salad taste was off. Steak was well seasoned and cooked. Sides were fresh and tasty. Service was friendly. Seating by the end of the wall was dark and had high traffic. Ambiance would have been better by the middle or front of the house.

Yelp
My dear friend Jacqui and I both are carnivores. So after an afternoon visit to Longue Vue House, we were ready for Steak! We wanted to celebrate our friendship as she embarks on a new adventure in Denver. We both had never tried Brasa, so we were excited to say the least. We learned from our server that chef also operates Basin(one of my favs) and Baru on Magazine. We arrived early and were seated along the banquette. I enjoyed the eclectic industrial chic decor and samba music that was playing. The vibe was set. Now to dive straight in......we ordered an appetizer for little man (okay he's not so little at 15) I told him he should offer to share it with Jacqui, but by the time she returned to the table it was gone. We hardly saw a glimpse of the Avocado Asado. The server did warn him he probably would not want to share it. I ordered a dirty martini and Jacqui a sparkling something. We enjoyed both very much. We ordered the cauliflower and roasted corn sides, the two of them ordered the Chorizo cuts (which only relates to the cut) and I, the Ojo! and Ojo boy was I impressed. When the talking at your table stops you know something wonderful has happened. We finished the evening off with a slice of coconut cake that was moist and delicious. We were stuffed. And happy. And definitely will be returning with the Pirate.

Yelp
Have gone many times and it never dissapoints! So incredibly flavorful and great ambiance! Recently went for a prisoner wine pairing with 6 courses and wow the food was impeccable and the chef paired his dishes very well with the wine!

Yelp
The best porkchop I have ever eaten. we started our New Year's Eve at brasa churrasqueria. The atmosphere was amazing with the live band and the low lighting that was intimate. Our appetizers were the pan con tomate andtl the brasa potatos. The pan con tomate was delicious! cruncy, a hint of pesto and a beautiful burst of tomato. the Potatos were also fantastic! crisp and devine. Our Entrees were the short rib, and the chuleta with a side of grilled carrots and a cauliflower head. the short rib was unbelievably tender. the meat fell completely off the bone and paired well with the sauces that were presented. the highlight for me was the chuleta. this was the best porkchop i have ever had. cooked to perfection. the mushroom creme sauce was phenomenal. this is going to be my go to place for porkchops. the grilled carrots were amazing as was the cauliflower! everything about this meal was the way a restaurant should be. Fantastic service, amazing atmosphere and the flavorful food. if this isn't you're next adventure, you're missing out! We also had about eight drinks. Basically we ordered every speciality cocktail and loved each one!

Yelp
Came across Brasa through Resturant Week and let me say.. how have I not come here sooner! I pass them all the time on Metairie Rd but they don't have a huge sign, so it's easily missed. For restaurant week they are offering a app, entree, and dessert for $45. I went with the Avocado Asado Salad which is grilled avocado, stuffed with crabmeat ravigote, arugula, marinated tomatoes, and thyme aderezo. Despite it being so simple, this salad was literally the best salad I've ever had. I will say, the portion was small, but I'm assuming because it was a part of the restaurant week deal. Next I got the Entrana which is grilled skirt steak, chimichurri, and parmesan fries. The steak was perfectly grilled, tender and full of flavor. They also gave me the option of regular chimichurri, spicy chimichurri, and a horseradish cream for dripping! I don't usually eat horseradish but omg theirs was like a garlic deliciousness. For dessert, I got the peach bread pudding! It was defiantly a treat. I will say it wasn't, to me at least, it's not a must try. But you also won't be disappointed. Its good nor great basically! My friend and I also did get drinks. I did the the first drink on the menu, I can't recall the name but it was very light and refreshing. It has like basil simple syrup, lime, sprite and I think tequila. My friend did a tequila sunset, the kick is they use a spicy tequila and top it off with a wine. Wasn't my favorite but she loved it! They also let us try a hazelnut liquor which was a delicious dessert liquor. The service was slow moving in the beginning but eventually found its groove and the employees were very friendly! Also, this is a nice date night spot, whether for your friends or your partner!

Yelp
Brasa A steak dinner always melts my heart, but this South American steak dinner had me in awe. We made dinner reservations for 8pm at a small, intimate restaurant called @brasasteak. This restaurant definitely has limited seating, but it just make it that much more intimate. They even have a table to dine in at as soon as you enter, and I was so happy I didn't have to sit there. ‍Jesus was my server for the night, and he was awesome. He explained the specials for the night, answered all of my questions and was very attentive. The blueberry mojito was my drink of choice to start, which was one of their specialties. They also brought out their version of a dinner roll, which were more like cheddar biscuits. For "Apertivos" (appetizers), I ordered the short rib mac 'n cheese. Whew child, those toasted bread crumbs on top were a perfect touch. Foodies, I also tried Tuna ceviche. Let me explain why this is such a big deal. I've always wanted to try ceviche, and more so than ever these past few months. Also, I hate tuna, so this was a challenge. Oh boy, it was stunning. Not fishy at all, very smooth, nowhere near what I was expecting. Their ceviche is made with yellow fin tuna, avocado, watermelon and citrus! For entrees, everything is A la carte. I of course ordered the special, which was LAMB! It was very tender and cooked perfectly. I also ordered the caesar salad with grilled romaine, chicken skin chircharron, basil, shaved parmigiano, and my fave bread crumbs. I also ordered the Chuleta, which is a grilled pork chop. MAN the flavor was breathtaking-- and it was put together very well. I even think the pork chop out did the lamb. For the sides, I could not leave without trying the grilled carrots and fresh corn. And if that was not enough, I tried the s'mores chocolate pie with an espresso martini. Had I known I would be eating this much, I would've worn a dress, not high waisted pants. Ladies, dress comfortably, If you plan on attending! Follow me @iamtygreen (Instagram) Ty Green (Facebook) Honeycheerio (Snapchat!)

Yelp
Average food at above average prices. Much better steakhouses around. Ambience is nice.

Yelp
So... not my cup of tea... the tequila was good.. my husband had a good flank steak... me friends had coolinary which was good... my friend's crab meat was spoiled... she got the ceviche instead and it was good... my wedge salad was meh... my friends had to ask for their desert drinks and we never got our crème brûlée which they took off the bill. My friends loved theirs I was disenchanted...

Yelp
During Christmas week, I am thankful for Brasa for having open reservations when I was deciding on a nice place to eat with my friends. We had a table of 6 and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I have eaten here over the years and tried at least half the menu. For drinks, we ordered Blueberry Mojitos, Gimlets, and Old Fashioneds. They were all tasty and set the tone for dinner. For food, we ordered their Short Rib Mac n Cheese, Risotto de Zetas, Entrana, Ojo de Bife, Wagyu Picanha, Vacio, Aligot, and Parmesano Fries. Our server made sure our water was refilled and we always had an alcoholic beverage. He was hesitant to take our order and we had to make it clear that we were ready to order, I figured he was giving us a lot of space. The food came out in good time and the presentation looks great, as always. Their appetizers, side dishes, and steaks were all delicious. We were absolutely stuffed with smiles on our faces (and bellies) with no room for dessert. Brasa Churrasqueria is a solid South American Steakhouse that I often recommend to my friends and I would recommend to all. I have been here over the years and the food does not seem consistent each time I come, so I tend to have a different experience each time. Overall, definitely come by for a different style of cuisine, intimate atmosphere, great food, and drinks!

Yelp
We decided to eat at Brasa when we saw they were on the Coolinary program. The meal started off with the yucca bread. Delicious, something we had never eaten before. I went with their suggested wine pairing for the meal. My wife opted for a glass of red wine from wine list. I had the risotto de zetas for the starters. The mushrooms complimented it nicely. My wife ordered the tuna ceviche based on the server's recommendation. She loved it. The avocado and watermelon relish gave the tuna a nice flavor. We both ordered the flank steak option as our main course. Medium rare and whatever the topping was, it truly accented the taste of the meat. We simply ordered both desserts so could try a little of each. The peach bread pudding was alright, but we both enjoyed the chocolate pecan pie. The service was great. The tables were set far enough apart that we didn't feel crowded. It was a week night. We had arrived about 6 pm and by 7 pm, people were waiting for tables.

Yelp
Food and drinks were really good . And the waitstaff was nice and checked on you and made sure you liked everything . We went on valentines so they had it dim with candles lit . Tables are pretty close together . 4 stars because for the price you get very little food . And the bread was $10 that you think is free but it's not

Yelp
This is always a good place to go. It is white table cloth place with all the things that go with that. Expect good service, good food and $109 price tag for a steak. I'm a price snob so I go during NOLA coolinary month.

Yelp
Food good, drinks good, service great. Restaurant got super loud, much quieter in bar area - had to almost yell to hear person across table. Liked the cheesy bread and cauliflower, avocado crab bland. They were out of empanadas. Pecan pie expecting a piece of pie but it was a mini size about 1/4in thick - the kind you get in a sampler. The scoop of ice cream was bigger than the dessert.

Yelp
Amazing service by Patricia, great atmosphere and good food. Came here and ate with 7 friends and everything was great. Small, cozy, and full of professional people who love what they do. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Staff is friendly and the food is excellent. However, our steaks were not quite the temperature ordered. Still delicious and no steak sauce was needed...which I usually use to disguise my meat being too medium and not enough well. On the plus side of that the light was too dim to notice...and too dim to read the menu unless you got dangerously close to the "candles" or broke out your phone with its blinding flashlight app. I highly recommend the empanadas and the bread appetizers. My dining companions enjoyed the pickled beet salad and the cauliflower side. The papas ai gratin had a thick cheese layer and was quite tasty. Oh, and parking is a nightmare all of its own.

Yelp
Positives: The steaks are delicious and cooked to perfection. The sides were also very good (beat salad, patatas bravas and the Mac and cheese). Negatives: the service is super-slow, and innatentive. The cocktails were not the best. .

Yelp
I think our expectations were set pretty high knowing it's the same chef from Baru uptown, but it just slightly missed the mark. We had the 8oz wagyu picanha where the emphasis was on the meat so it lacked a bit of seasoning (could be a good thing or bad depending what your into). The pork chop portion was huge and the carrots albeit small were delicious. The mash potatoes were nothing special so we should have gone with the waiters Recommendation of the bravas. Overall the service was excellent and it was a cute date spot outside of our normal stomping grounds. Since it was Christmas Eve we drove around and looked at lights in the neighborhood nearby. I would say try for yourself and see if you like it!

Yelp
We had good steak there one night & decided to go back (April 2023). The waitress suggested a special they were running that night...a ribeye. So, I ordered it & my wife got fish. The ribeye steak we previously ordered was in the $40-$50 range. We were shocked when we got the bill and that "special" had cost me $90!! The price was never mentioned but should have been when she told us about it. Even worse...the filet was terrible!

Yelp
Good food and great atmosphere! I was shocked at how well we were treated considering where it's located. Very classy place. Please don't go in these people place acting like you have no home training... it makes it bad for the rest of us.
