"Chef Karl Holl is the new executive head chef at Brasada Ranch, a sprawling, 1,800-acre Powell Butte resort between Bend and Redmond. The resort is home to multiple pools, an athletic center, horses, a golf course, and mountain views, as well as two restaurants, two poolside snack bars, and a general store. Holl has transformed the adults-only pool snack bar into a seafood shack, and has shifted the menus at Ranch House and Range to include dishes like elk meatloaf sandwiches and stone fruit-accompanied pork milanesa, respectively." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

We came for a wedding in October and the first half of the week was warm and sunny. Now is freezing, but beautiful. There's snow on the surrounding mountains that is very visible from the whole resort. The pools, hot tubs, and kid zone have been great for the whole family. Wild rye was a very good dinner. And based on that dinner, they have an extensive to go menu that would likely be fantastic (and a bit cheaper)

Brasada is highly recommended. Well trained and friendly staff. Excellent dining with tremendous Mountain View’s from the butte location. Golf course was in great shape and a fun and challenging experience. Spa services for massage and facial were also excellent. Ranch House room is big. Large walk-in shower but shower head-water pressure was lacking and made it rather underwhelming. Overall, an excellent getaway for us.

Brasada Ranch was just such a beautiful resort. The pool area with the slide was awesome for our kid. My wife did a spa day and loved it. The views are amazing. The food was amazing. I played the golf course and it was incredible. Our 2 bed cabin was perfect with an incredible view. Loved this place.

We rented a two bedroom cabin for 4 days at the beginning of October. The place was well stocked and quite comfortable. We also used the athletic facility three times during our stay. The gym is very nice, as were the pools, pickle ball courts and the walking trails. We only ate at one of the restaurants, but the food was very good. I can see how things might get very crowded during the peak season, however, there were no crowds during our stay and the weather was spectacular, except for the smoke from the fires around the state. We did not play any golf, but the facilities look very nice.

The pictures do not do it justice! We stayed in the Cascade bungalows and I never wanted to leave. The room was so large and so nice that I had to force myself to go out and do activities! Reading in the nook in the morning with my coffee and breakfast basket was my favorite part of each day. The gym was very nice and never crowded. Riding the e-bikes around the property was especially beautiful. The food at the Ranch House exceeded my expectations. Every staff we encountered was very friendly and attentive. Already planning a return trip!

Google
Spectacular location with awesome scenery. The accomodations are the best and the staff seem like family. Such a cozy spot for relaxation. Locally sourced food will keep us coming back. Likewise, the amenities, especially the spa are is can't miss!

Google
Pricy, but it is so worth it. Everything was great. Quiet rooms, good views, cozy bed, tasty breakfast delivered, private hot tubs, fun golf cart rides, amazing meals at Wild Rye. The beet salad is so dang good. Great wine. Loved it. The horse ride for an hour was boring and overpriced. The crab sando at the adult pool is delicious.

Stayed here for my cousin's wedding and stayed at the Ranch House. Had a VIP suite and oh it felt like that the whole time here! This is not LA speed and that's a nice change. The people at the restaurants and the Ranch House are incredible and amazing. The property is beautiful with lots of views. This was fun, relaxing, and oh so spoiling.

Yelp
Super well kept ranch where anyone would love to retire. I don't golf enough to hit 12 but from what I saw and what I heard, the course was #tough (or maybe my company sucks at golf but probably a mixture of both). I enjoyed the range as I had the luxury of hitting balls from their indoor garage thing-- sheltered from the beaming heat. The garage had nice seating arrangements, a keurig with coffee pods and a water fountain. The gym was super well kept as all machines, weights and equipment were like new. Fortunately-- this gym had everything you could ask for and did not lack one bit besides maybe having only a few bikes and treadmills. Nonetheless, I didn't see it full so the few made sense. My favorite part of the stay was the adult pool. I enjoyed the relaxation of not having to be wary of a child splashing by me or cannon balling into the pool. The only :/ of the trip was my last day-- the adult pool was not staffed so you'd have to get food and drinks elsewhere. The community pool was still nice as there was a "members section" separated from the non-members. They also had an indoor pool if your family preferred to be sheltered from the sun. The cabins I stayed in (28) was super nice as the air conditioning was impeccable. You could leave the doors open (although not ideal) and your room would still feel like an igloo. One thing I wish they had was a full sized basketball court (only one hoop with not a whole lot of space) Other than that, I throughly enjoyed my stay and would love to come back in the future.

Yelp
1. Location and Accessibility * Proximity to Local Attractions, Landmarks, or Business Districts o This ranch is in a great location, there is easy access to both Redmon, Bend and Sisters OR. * Ease of Access (public transportation, parking availability, airport proximity) o There is plenty of parking on the property; however, there is not much public transportation nearby. * Neighborhood and Surroundings (safety, noise levels, convenience stores, restaurants nearby) o The ranch is completely safe and very quiet. There is a VERY expensive general store on the property with limited items. Restaurants are about 25-30 minutes away other than the ones on the property. 2. Check-In and Reception Experience * Efficiency of the Check-In Process o Check-in was easy and fast. I had booked separate bookings because of Childcare changes and they decided to upgrade my room so I didn't have to move rooms on the second day. * Staff Friendliness and Professionalism o Check-In was easy and the ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful * Availability of Multilingual Support (if relevant) o N/A * Any Special Requests or Services Offered (early check-in, luggage storage, etc.) o Nothing offered. There is no luggage help. They said early check-in was only available as able. 4. Room Quality and Amenities * Room Size and Layout o We stayed in the one bedroom cabin and it was spacious and well put together. * Cleanliness and Maintenance (condition of furniture, fixtures, etc.) o Indoors were clean and furniture and fixures were mostly in good shape. The fridge was a little old and the light didn't work on it. * Comfort of Bed and Quality of Bedding o Bed was really hard sand generally uncomfortable. The Pillows likewise were not comfortable. The sheets and pillowcases seemed to be clean and no issues with smell or stains. * View from the Room (if notable) o View from our room was great, we had a view of a mountain range. * In-Room Amenities (mini-fridge, TV, safe, coffee maker, etc.) o TVs worked great, Coffee pot worked as expected and there was Tea available as well. The safe in the room worked as well. * Wi-Fi Quality and Accessibility o Wi-Fi worked great and I had no issues streaming football games or tv shows. * Air Conditioning or Heating Functionality o Heating and cooling worked as expected, and we could stay comfortable. 5. Bathroom Facilities * Cleanliness and Modernity o Good bathrooms, but could have used better showerheads. * Shower or Bathtub Quality o Shower was nice, but as stated it would have been better with a dual showerhead or a showerhead with a wand. * Toiletries Provided (quality and variety) o Soap and Conditioner were pleasant and we ended up buying some we like it so much. * Functionality of Plumbing (water pressure, hot water, etc.) o No issues 6. Hotel Services and Facilities * Room Service Availability and Quality o Room service wasn't really a thing since we were in a cabin. However, we did request a few things, which they were slow to respond to and even slower to bring to our cabin. The staff was friendly. * Housekeeping (frequency, quality, and attentiveness) o Housekeeping wasn't a thing, apparently. They never brought us fresh towels or cleaned our cabin. We set our garbage outside our cabin the first morning and they never picked it up the whole time we were there. * Dining Options (restaurant or cafe in-house, breakfast service) o Limited dining options on the property. They have a few Restaurants but don't expect to be well-fed and expect to spend large amounts of money. * Additional Facilities (pool, gym, spa, etc.) o Lots of additional facilities available on the Ranch, but neither my wife nor I used them. There was a beautiful golf course I never got around to using either. * Business Facilities (meeting rooms, business center) o N/A 7. Customer Service and Hospitality * Staff Availability and Responsiveness (e.g., concierge, bellhop) o This is where things went downhill. When I booked our reservations, I asked about a couples massage. They said they had no openings during our stay but would put us on the list. I proceeded to schedule a massage through a local place to make sure my wife and I had something for our anniversary weekend. I got a message through Expedia a few days later that they had an opening for my wife and me simultaneously, and they asked if I would like to book it. I responded in less than five minutes that I would like to book it. I then proceeded to cancel my reservation with the other massage place. I never received a confirmation, but it showed they received the message so I took it as they booked it. When my wife and I showed up for our anniversary massage, they didn't have it booked and had booked over that time. I went to the front desk and they said they didn't have that message anywhere. I showed them in my phone and they agreed it was definitely from the Ranch and that they just never responded. I also messaged them when I received

Yelp
First time here with the Wi-Fi our wedding anniversary and what a great trip it has been as the cabins are fully furnished and have everything you need access and even the little grocery store, though it doesn't have everything the grocery store has but the necessities for a quick meal since they already have a dine in restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a variety of swimming pools and especially a big one that I can't wait to dive into. The views are great and there's no Siti within 20 minutes so you can see a beautiful night sky and just hear nothing but nature and frogs at night. It's a great place to come and relax and to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. You can even see Three Sisters and amount Adams across the way. * I should also note that this place allows you to order package meals or what not or a set menu. I should say where you can order a steak or something else and they provide you with all the ingredients and what night you just need to put it together and cook it up and a good deal. The steak is only $30. Everything else that comes with it.

Yelp
We had a great stay at Brasada Ranch. We did many activities but especially enjoyed the horseback trail ride with Piper. Beautiful scenery seen in such a lovely way.

Yelp
One of the best stops on our vacation and hope to come back. We stayed in the newest buildings that have great views looking at the mountains . They are very cognizant of making sure cars, parking lots etc are covered to not interfere with the view The staff is overly nice and accommodating and in general for a resort style ranch the food, drinks, and market items are cheaper than normal places The cascade bungalows are on the pricey side, came with new ranch rover (golf cart) to drive around We went to the spa, golf and the limited access pool recommend all of them!

Gloria T.

Yelp
Amazing service throughout the entire ranch from the receptionists to the restaurant. This place is so much better in real life than the photos. There is something about the energy of this place that is very relaxing, serene and warm. The ranch is well equipped with everything that you need and nicely designed. Nice sheets. Cleaned well! The views of the cascade and sunset views are amazing. Dog friendly and they provide 2 dog bowls per dog, leash and doggy bags! Tea bags and coffee also provided. The bar soap is so good! The ranch have a golf course, pond, horse ranch, gym, pool, tennis courts, a spa. Lots of areas to walk around/hike. You can purchase a ranch on the golf course side.

Yelp
Food. Their menu in June was a joke! They advertise a great looking menu only to tell you when you show up, it's not available "at this time"! Beautiful place to see but make sure you call before going to the restaurant. I ordered the 1/2 fried chicken plate and it was so dark n dry. I wouldn't t hv given it to my dog. I did complain and they comped my meal. It was embarrassing the waiter even brought it out. It "could" be a great place but they need a new menu and better cooks! I'll give it a D-

Jared W.

Yelp
Went here for a family bday dinner. The service was phenomenal, the ambiance of the restaurant was very good...exceptional views. Food is good, but minor improvements could be made for the price you pay. Regardless, a good meal and will definitely be going back!

Yelp
What a gorgeous property and amazing staff! My family of four plus our lab retriever stayed in one of the 3-bedroom cabins over Labor Day weekend and LOVED it. The cabin was ideal for our fam: each teenager had their own room, and all of our rooms had their own separate outdoor patios or decks. Beautiful well-stocked kitchen. Two bedrooms had fireplaces and mini fridges. The large main deck had a lovely view, grill, and very clean and well-maintained hot tub. There's a lot to do here for families: a huge pool with waterslide, small sort-of lazy river, and hot tubs, where you can get snacks at the pool snack bar. A separate adult pool with food, beer, wine. Horseback riding, tennis courts, and golf if you're into those things. Wellness programs and a fitness room, with yoga, hiking, and more on the calendar. There's a spa that I didn't get a chance to check out, but hope to next time! So many hikng/biking/running trails for the whole family (plus dogs!) to enjoy. A general store where you can pick up food & drinks to add to your fridge if you want to cook dinner instead of going to one of the restaurants. There are two main restaurants, and although one is touted as more casual, we found them both to be very casual. The food is decent -- not amazing, but good and enjoyable. The best part is the view from the restaurants. So beautiful! And the service at both restaurants was always fantastic. Plus, Brasada is super dog friendly. They gave us a water bowl, food bowl, leash, and some dog waste bags. Our dog was living his best life out there at Brasada! This is a gorgeous property about 30 minutes outside of Bend. I grew up spending summers in Bend and Sunriver, and tbh our family got tired of Sunriver, especially after Bend started getting so crowded. But Brasada is a nice, upscale alternative that is close enough for us to zoom into Bend for a concert or wine tasting, then zoom back for some peace and quiet at Brasada. Love it and cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
This was a hard review to write. I had a great experience here besides being mislead and given the run-around. The staff is amazing and would be the only reason I would come back, but I will never come back. I booked my package through the concierge via phone to come late April because they had a deal for free golf if you come between specific dates. Once the room was booked, apparently the dates changed the second I gave them my card information. I don't care about the money, it's about the principle. The golf facility still charged $100 for me to play 18 holes. This is not a $100 course! There were multiple issues with the greens and course.

Yelp
Where do I start?! This place is incredible. We decided to stay here for our ten year anniversary. We chose to stay in the new Bungalows. If you decide on coming here, take a look at the bungalows. The room is spacious and has a private hot tub. In addition, the views are incredible. The room even comes with a golf cart for your use throughout the length of your stay (which totally comes in handy to get around the property). The room has a tv in the living room and one facing your bed in addition to a fireplace. The walk in shower is great (could've used a little more pressure but that is a minute point). I will say, however, if you are staying here, bring your own pillow of you can. Again, not a deal breaker, but the pillows were not my fave. One of the best parts of the bungalows was the included breakfast delivered to your doorstep every morning (overnight oats, small pastries, fruit, and two types of juice). The amenities property wide were beyond incredible. The restaurants (Range and Ranch House) were both great. We ate at the Range once on anniversary night, and the Ranch house the rest of our meals. For the vibe I like, the Ranch house was more my flavor. Cody, the food manager, was a gracious host. Very nice and accommodating. Cerenda, one of the waitresses, gave us incredible service the entire weekend. I can't remember everyone else names but the service was never lacking at the Ranch house. The indoor pool was awesome and the pickle ball courts were maintained well. My wife got a great massage with great service at the spa and I got great service at the golf shop. I hit the driving range during my wife's massage and the gentleman at the golf shop gave me great service! I had to rent clubs and they had TaylorMade Stealth's to borrow. I cannot wait to come back with my kids next time to introduce them to all the stuff for the little ones. I would 100% stay here again and would recommend to anyone wanting a great experience and take in the beauty of Central Oregon!

Yelp
My husband and kids loved everything about this hotel!! It was breathtaking!!!! Loved the pool area and the vibe! The music, warm pool, slide was a hit for my kids, drinks were so good!!! food everywhere was delicious!!! Ranch house was good simple food. Range was fantastic!!!! Our food was delicious!!! The views just gorgeous!! Our hotel home on the golf course was so serene. The weather was perfect! We had a hot tub on deck. Loved the area with the pickle ball courts, kids play area had basketball hoop game and a car game. Outside is a little area for the kids to play and a small play structure. Not the best place to ride bikes unfortunately. Service was pretty good. Staff was very nice. Servers were excellent but food took a very long time to come out! The only downside and complaints I have are this: The hotel rooms have two rooms and one is downstairs and one is upstairs so if you have young kids, you don't like being so far away. Pillows were so big and puffy, they were very uncomfortable. Other downside is the hot tub. We put the kids to bed and wanted to hot tub together but it wouldn't let us make it hotter than 78 degrees. Every night it was on a setting that wouldn't let you change it and it was frustrating. But the stars were absolutely beautiful! Saw 2 shooting stars. Brasada ranch is a very special place. I think worth every penny as it is pricey but it was beautiful!!!!! Loved it so much!!!

Yelp
My husband and I have been coming to Brasada since Jeld-Wen ownership. We've stayed in the cabins, the hotel and the new bungalows. With the exception of the new bungalows the cabins and the hotel are sadly showing their age and lack of upkeep. Our cabin out dated and worn...from the furniture to the bathroom, kitchen, the deck and the hot tub. The interior is clean but the outside is dusty and dirty. The door mats are filthy and the door thresholds covered in cobwebs which we cleaned ourselves. The hot tub is clean but again worn and sad. We went for dinner at the Ranch House; very spendy for two drinks each and a burger each. It was an excellent burger but not worth it given the atmosphere and the attitudes. They also did not have some items on the menu...at the beginning of dinner service...weird. We are not playing golf this stay but prior stays we have played and the golf course was pristine. From our cabin we can see a fairway and it looks very rough. Not sure what's going on here at Brasada but in our minds they are slipping and staying here is pricey, so probably won't come back, we'll spend our dollars elsewhere which is very sad for us.

Garrett D.

Yelp
Phenomenal food (I could eat the Ranch House Burger every meal), relaxing location, and great personalized staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon!

Jane K.

Yelp
Brasada Ranch is sadly tolerant of homophobia, racism, and promoting an exclusive environment for only a select few of its patrons. My husband and I had two very uncomfortable experiences at the pool during our stay. First was a group loudly and repeatedly using the f-slur. Second was a man demanding that the six people using the pool area all be subjected to his music being blasted from the pool speakers on a Monday morning. I asked the lifeguard to turn the volume down, which he kindly did. The man promptly made him turn it back up. My husband, who is Middle Eastern, asked why it was a problem to turn the volume down -- the man (white boomer) said "Are YOU a member? I've been a member for SEVEN YEARS." My husband said "No, I'm a paying guest. Does that make me a second-class citizen?" White boomer failed to reply. The lifeguard took the member's side and privately approached him after the conversation to apologize, introduce himself and **thank him for "showing him the ropes"**. We, as mere paying guests, got no such introduction. Ick.

Liz W.

Yelp
We were annoyed most of the time. The drinks were delivered and took over 25 minutes just for that. The food took forever. Very understaffed place. Not worth the wait in my opinion.

Erin J.

Yelp
Not only is this resort gorgeous, kid friendly, and dog friendly - they are kind. I answered a survey letting them know I was incredibly impressed with the waitstaff at the Ranch House, as they were accommodating and loving with our ailing dog who passed away the next day, and they had these flowers sent to our home in Portland. That is above and beyond and meant so much to us. Thank you, Brasada!

Greg P.

Yelp
Our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Had the distinct privilege of dining at The Range Restaurant this past Saturday evening. Food was inventive, seasonally specific, masterfully prepared and pleasing to the eye. Lead by Brooke, this was a master class in team service. Multiple table touches by leadership which made us feel special. Bravo team!

A D.

Yelp
BUYER BEWARE!!! Brasada is putting the hard sell on buying real estate. The dirty little secret is they are understaffed and cater to hotel guests. Members are a low priority and good luck trying to get into any of the facilities. Staff members are great but paid much lower than neighboring resorts so turnover very very high. They just raised the daily resort fee if you rent outside their hotel rooms to 56 a person per day. Highway robbery. Do NOT buy a house or build one without talking to current residents first. We were sold a build and highly encouraged by their sales guy (drives a Mercedes at high speeds all over the resort now) to build an ADU to rent. Big mistake. Brasada trying to undercut these airbnbs with high fees and poor service. Just a scam... many owners currently considering legal action.

Rick J.

Yelp
Another great local escape for us, from one resort to another this week. Brasada is just far enough away to feel like we're on a vacation but only 20 miles from our home. Location: amazing views West looking at all the mountains. I am sure you can see photos on the internet. Stunning setting for sure. Vibe: very relaxed, don't plan on being in a hurry. It is an equal opportunity resort that does not discriminate or dominate to any preference, be it spa, golf, adult pool, biking, or hiking. Everyone is welcome even EV drivers. Both Tesla (4) and EV (2) charging stations near market. Equestrians: they do have horses and a lot of trails for your family, details at front desk. Food: this time of year only one restaurant is open but if you're staying in a room or cabin room service is available. BTW an Incredible tomato salad! at lunch yesterday. Rooms: we've stayed in the limited guest room and also the cabins, both are equally nice but offer a different experience. Some cabins are two bedroom and offer very nice hot tubs on the decks with great views. We really enjoy the off season getaways, today was a spa day and it was reported by my spa expert, a perfect massage was had which is pretty rare. Price and Value: well it depends, we feel it is an excellent value as we take advantage of specials and avoid the peak season as we enjoy quiet adult pool time reading a book. One off season note, the pool, adult and main, food and beverage service is only available on the weekends so best to ask about that if you're into that. I think I would recommend you visit and stay a couple of days

Scott C.

Yelp
It's a special place and friendly service. A new chef in town so exciting menu items to come.

Grant G.

Yelp
What an absolute lie. Brasada, false marketing is not the way to run a resort golf course. We were told we had to pay a full twilight green fee ($129), even when the website says you can play the golf course for $40 as a resort guest during non-member hours. Even bringing up the fact that it was marketed on the website AND that we played the night before at the $40 fee, we were still not helped. The bald "pro" with the UO duck mask needs to learn about customer service from the rest of his colleagues.

Jackson J.

Yelp
Love the adult only pool. Lodge room was perfect for an adult escape from our children. The views from the room were incredible - we were on the top floor of the lodge. Only real issue was a lack of vegetarian food options at the on site restaurants. They had some options but when you are staying several days you end up eating the exact same thing every day. Staff felt like they were always trying to make the guests happy, it was a very fantastic trip. We will be back!

Susan V.

Yelp
Sadly we have been visiting Brasada over 12 years but this last year we were disappointed. There seems to be new management and the service was very poor. Chips and salsa took over an hour and now at the bar they deliver drinks so it took 35 mins to get one drink. They changed the fitness center rules so you must be over 16 when actual gym membership is only 14. We have a 14 year old that is an athlete and even when accompanied by both of us is not allowed in the fitness center. We will likely not be returning again and will find a resort that offer better service and amenities for families. I hope Brasada improves their experience for guests as it is sad to have to leave after many years but it has gone very downhill.

Ariel S.

Yelp
This is a very fancy and posh establishment. Not meant for those on a budget. The dinner selection is large and so is their breakfast. They have a cozy cabin vibe going on with a big fire place and a deck that looks out on the three sisters, Mt. Bachelor, Pilot Butte, Mt. Jefferson and Three Finger Jack. It's breathtaking! You also can stay at on of their cabins on sight which are just a cozy and nice.

Debbie G.

Yelp
Oh my gosh!!!! What an amazing experience! My husband and I were there for the weekend and the suite absolutely beautiful! Every bite of food was delicious! The view was spectacular! Tianni Johnson the event planning manager put this all together and there was no stone left unturned! I had the best pedicure ever! Please ask for Kaitlyn! The best. We will be back in the summer with our family to enjoy all of the amenities!

Cate B.

Yelp
Food delicious, atmosphere amazing, I live in the surrounding area and was originally concerned Brasada would bring a Beverly Hills type attitude to the area of really blue collar salt of the earth people. I have never been so happy to be proven wrong. The food, service, and staff were AMAZING, my guests and I were treated with so much respect, and really felt welcomed and comfortable. I can't wait to go back again! I hope they never change!

Jason S.

Yelp
I live near the resort and called to make reservations for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The gal that answered the phone was upbeat and excited to help me out but then stopped and asked if I was a guest or just a local "in that tone as if you're a lower class person". I said yes that I was local but was interested in having dinner there for our occasion. She said she was sorry but they can't offer reservations to locals but if I called back on the day I wished to dine they would see what they could do. So basically don't hold your breath. I can afford to stay there, I can afford to dine there but I can't afford to be talked too and to be treated as a lower class person because of where I live. This company will never see a penny of my money at their restaurant or golf course, due to a very discourteous host or ranch representative. I expected more from such a sought after location.

Nick H.

Yelp
The facilities are amazing and golf course is fantastic. Management however.. needs a total rebuild. Beware of excessive add-on fees and misrepresented promotions. Im amazed to have received 3 representations from various employees about what the "Summer Sanctuary" did and did not include, and yet I was ultimately charged for the "Free Golf" in addition to the $3,000 access pass that was tacked on post booking AND a required "Covid based" extended minimum stay. To say that Brasada Ranch has received TENS of thousands in booking fees the last couple years is no exaggeration. Its amazing to me that they will let a customer go for a 175$ green fee stemming from deceptive promotional practices. Buyer Beware: Don't look for the fine print because its not there - it's just plain false advertising and an inexcusable exploitation of the Covid Pandemic. Consider Pronghorn or Sunriver and get owner-level management with the same level experience -- without the short-minded exploitation.

Yelp
We love staying here! My mother just passed away and our family needed to get away. So peaceful here! The cabin was spotless and comfortable. The service was impeccable. I thought we had reservations at the Ranch Restaurant, but it seems I made them for the wrong day and the manager was so pleasant and accommodating, saying he would make it work. He sat us down right away. This says a lot, especially with how busy it was In there. The scenery looking out every window was breathtaking. We will definitely be coming back next year!

Yelp
This place is amazing. I wish I lived here. We went straight to the beautiful pool for some drinks and food. I got a cheeseburger that was a little under cooked for me but not was hungry so I ate it. The waitress told me it came with fruit or chips so I got the chips thinking they were potato chips. But when I got my cheeseburger they were corn chips with no salsa or nothing. I thought that was kind of weird. The cheeseburger was $12.00 so I was hoping for a little more. We watched the packers game in a private little room off the restaurant in the main lodge. The manger there I think names Jason really hooked us up. We are and I got the half chicken. I have to say it was like the boiled the chicken and I am not a big fan of that. I was starving so I at it but it was pretty bland. The golfing was top notch. Such a nice course with great views. Be careful on the greens as they are very fast. I could not believe how big the jack rabbits are on the course. The house we stayed in was pretty nice. It was huge. Kind of weird shower head in the shower. It was adjustable but it sprayed at you and not on top of your head. Overall I would come back. But the price for the quality of food was disappointing. Oh and $16 bucks for a six pack Goodguys Pale Ale was pretty steep. Seems like they take advantage of you since the nearest store is 15 miles away. Also, they charged us $41 extra on out bill at check out that we never charged to our room. They corrected it for us tho.

Yelp
My wife and I came here for a weekend getaway for our anniversary, and I loved every minute of our time here at Brasada Ranch! The food was amazing, the suit was romantic (the staff left us a sweet anniversary note, a bath bomb, and a bottle of wine to say congratulations and enjoy!), and the scenery was breathtaking! We enjoyed massages and facials at the spa, and enjoyed brunch at the Ranch House, excellent dinner at the Range and we loved it so much we are going to make this our anniversary destination. I will come here as often as possible!

Yelp
My girl took myself and another couple there for my birthday dinner. Service was very good. The food however was very sub par. I had Braised Short ribs that was nothing more than a boneless piece of Pot Roast, with zero seasoning or flavor. My girl had potatoes leak soup which was cold and had a film on the top as though it had been sitting for a while. The other couple had a Filet that was under seasoned and the sides were Luke warm. For a high end resort and restaurant as it is billed, the only thing high end was the Price! Very dissatisfied. We won't be back.

Yelp
Central Oregon overall is an amazing place to travel. Every meal was delicious, service was amazing wherever we went and everywhere felt safe and walkable. There is such a variety of activities in the area that while we were only there for a long weekend we actually had the time to decompress and relax from our busy schedules.... Now on to the ranch. We reserved a two bedroom cabin with a hot tub. I anticipated the ranch style but I was not expecting the details in the hardwood floors, woodwork, art, and do many little touches. There was a full kitchen with a gas range, refrigerator with ice maker, and all of the utensils that a family would need for a comfortable extended stay. There was even a BBQ on the back patio. We went with another couple and I appreciated that it was two master suites with their own bathrooms on opposite ends of the cabin so that we all had our own space. In addition to the fantastic cabin, the service and the panoramic views throughout the site were beyond words. I would recommend the horseback riding and a sunset dinner at the Ranch House. I heard the smores were to die for but we were so stuffed by all the amazing meals in the area. I could continue on but a review just doesn't do it justice. My husband and I are already talking about coming back on a multiple couples trip, another trip for the family, or figuring out how we can afford one of the houses or cabins on the property. It was that amazing!

Yelp
We had dinner last night at the Range Restaurant. Big mistake, my wife ordered the Dungeness Crab Roll, and I ordered the Mushroom Carbonara. My wife received a spoonful of crab meat in mayonnaise on a hot dog bun, seriously! But the winner was my Carbonara, I received a plate of over cooked ziti, in a ragu (right from the bottle) sauce with mushrooms. Holy cow, how can this place stay in business. Never again.

Yelp
We live nearby and like to support locally. We always felt welcomed and enjoyed our time there until now... We were hoping to have a few cocktails and watch the sunset outside. Stopped by the bar to get a few cocktails. Lady waitressing rudely insisted on a mask. Let her know we just wanted some outdoor drinks. She insisted we need reservations and ignored us when we sat outside. Sad because it used to be a welcoming place. Not sure we will be back.

Yelp
To me, what really makes for a great resort is all of the amenities they offer. Brasada Ranch has stolen our hearts yet again. We first visited the resort last year for our 7th wedding anniversary and decided to come back this year for our 8th. It's a getaway but not too far from home. We live in the Portland area so it's about an 3 hour drive for us. The ranch offers everything we need and more. This year we decided to take more advantage of some of those amenities. There is horse back ridding, fishing on the ranch, golf (pretty spendy), a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, even a kiddie pool we took, our little one in. There are miles and miles or walking trails and even driving trails up top the ranch that you can do a little off roading on, we did that last year and the views are to die for, they just can't be beat! One of my favorite things would have to be the club house; I mean there is a gym, pools, activity room with DVDs to rent or watch there, free arcade games like basketball and race car driving. There is a kid rock climbing wall, tons of board games to play and a separate room for the toddlers. I mean, the list just goes on and on. We had a blast in there playing on one of our days. The cabins themselves are beautiful. Last year we got the one bedroom with a hotub this year we opted out of the hot tub but wish we would of spent the extra bucks because it's nice having that. Though, there is a hot tub in the main building that anyone can come down and use but it's nice having it right there on the deck. The cabins are fully furnished with beautiful counter tops, hardwood floors, amazing décor, nice leather couches in the living room, flat screen tvs, nice comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen with all of the supplies (even a coffee maker). Everything is there, just bring your food, clothes, self and any extra entertainment you may need. There is a restaurant on site that we haven't visited however, we did have food in the main building where you check in. There is a bar and there and smaller dinning area you can get food from. The front even offers a TV sitting room where you can go and watch sports games and have cocktails and drinks at the bar. Very relaxed environment. I know there is so much more I'm missing but this review is turning into a novel. One of the coolest things are all of the jack rabbits and beer you see around the ranch running around. It's a very nice place that has quickly become a tradition for us. A little on the spendy side but you pay for what you get and it's money well spent at Brasada!

Yelp
It was standing in line for homemade pie at the Lord's Acre community event in Powell Butte last Saturday on a cold November morning that led us to the warmth of Ranch House at Brasada Ranch for lunch. Bear with me. I'll get to the Ranch House. But first, Lord's Acre is an annual fundraising event in the ranch and farm centric community of Powell Butte that has been taking place since 1947. It includes homemade pie sales (by slice or whole) starting at 9:00 a.m. (pie in the morning...these are my kind of people) followed by a quilt and other crafts auction and an afternoon barbeque. http://www.bendbulletin.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20111104/NEWS0107/111040407/1001/NEWS01&nav_category=NEWS01 One of the claims to fame of the Lord's Acre event is that in 1959 then US Senator John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie made an appearance and bought a quilt. My hubby and I, however, bought only (yummy) pie to take home and then enjoyed ourselves for a couple of hours (in the cold) for our first time at this event looking at the crafts for sale. At which point we were hungry (and really cold) and thought we'd drive to nearby Ranch House at Brasada Ranch for a late breakfast. See. I told you I'd get to Ranch House; Brasada Ranch's casual dining restaurant that is sort of "Cowboy goes Uptown" for ambiance. We were eager to try Ranch House because we are fans of Brasada's fine dining restaurant, The Range. We were particularly looking forward to breakfast as Ranch House uses eggs from a local egg company that lets the hens roam in the open, eating grass and bugs - humane treatment also resulting in delicious eggs. Open seven days a week fro 7a to 11a for breakfast, we just missed the cut off for that meal when we arrived at Ranch House about 11:30. No worries ,though, because Ranch House is also open for lunch and dinner (using the same menu for both meals) from 11:00a to 9p daily. Like their upscale sibling, The Range, Ranch House operates with a creative menu and a scratch kitchen relying as much on possible on local and regional sustainably harvested products. So we expected lunch was bound to be delicious too. The Ranch House kitchen delivered on those expectations. We selected a bowl of the soup of the day (a wonderful lentil in generous serving) to share and followed up with a pizzette. The pizzette was on cracker thin crust and topped with prosciutto, dried figs, mascarpone and wild arugula. A perfect pizzette. The chef on duty, Joel, did a great job. The price was great too, food came in at $18 for the two items, and big mugs of steaming hot coffee from local Bend roaster 11R only added another $4 to the bill. http://www.brasada.com/dining/ranch-house-restaurant/lunch-dinner-menu Service, as provided by Jessica, was friendly with just the right twist of down home casual for the setting. And the music on the sound system, country and western, fit the setting just right. (We say this even as we aren't fans of C&W - it was right on there.) Seating is at a choice of four standard height tables or four or five high perch bar height tables. The place has a full bar and there is additional seating in club chairs near a big stone fireplace or on banquette with tables and chairs facing the fire in that lounge area too. An outdoor covered deck has tables and chairs (and views) for warm weather months. As last item to cheer about, there is convenient and ample parking for such a small place, including accessible parking for folks who rely on that to be able to park and get out of their car. (As do I as a result of MS.) Given this is a good 30 minute drive from the population centers of Bend and Redmond, it is definitely a destination that one has to plan to go to. Based on our lunch time experience, we plan to go back for breakfast or dinner. Given we hear it is Brasada's plan is to close their fine dining restaurant, The Range, beginning in January for a couple of months, we hope the Chef who has been providing direction for both restaurants, Adrian Carpenter, has the time to up the focus even more for the Ranch House casual dining ranch style comfort food and expand the offerings there. Half hour drive or no, we'll plan to make ourselves increasingly at home at the Ranch House if he does.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow. While Brasada Ranch is about 30 minutes outside of Bend in a place some would describe as the middle of nowhere (Powell Butte, and I'm talking about locals who describe it this way) in our book, this is a fantastic spot to stay and pretty darned luxurious. The views looking down on the Three Sisters makes this place a little jewel. With a main Ranch House, family cabins and two restaurants on the property, along with a new gym with state of the art equipment. and a set of pools, one with a water slide, and some gigantic jacuzzi tubs, you will not want to leave. We stayed in a suite-like room in the main Ranch House that had its own large living room, wet bar and refrigerator stocked with water. The property is simple luxury. Its cowboy friendly sure (there was a little too much Nashville-centric music playing at their restaurants for our tastes) and the golf friendly vibe sometimes has its dark side (You know the guys with polo shirts and corporate macho attitude can be offputting at times. Although they don't realize it. We are more the quirky, frisbee golf types.) but besides these things, Brasada is darned spectacular and comfortable, especially for my husband and I who have spent about zero time in the high desert and would now qualify as major fans. In fact, after several days here we became hands-down fans of Bend and its family and food-friendly, adventure lifestyle and craft-beer loving culture. Brasda has recently undergone a ownership change and the new owners have dumped serious cash into the property. It shows. The Ranch House Restaurant, in the main house, serves a mean breakfast particularly the Brasada Hash with forest mushrooms & the buttery vegetable omelette with forest mushrooms, asparagus and gruyere. The more upscale (and pricey) restaurant Range, serves dinner, excellent wine by the glass, great bites, cocktails, desserts and boasts incredible views of the 3 Sisters. Even if you don't stay here, head over to Range for a sunset view and a round of their gourmet smores and drinks. Nom. We can also highly recommend the burger (perfect medium rare), the kale side and the pork belly lettuce wraps (seriously good.) Hotel service is friendly, with the front desk, although well-meaning, being the somewhat weak link.

Yelp
Oh, how I wish we could have stayed a few days longer at Brasada Ranch. My new husband and I recently stayed here for 2 nights as a quick "honeymoon getaway" right after our wedding, but before our ACTUAL honeymoon in Maui in October. We stayed in a suite and it was super comfortable and had everything we needed. The one gripe I had with the room was the stand-up shower with the shower head you could move up or down. There was NO WAY you could position the showerhead so that it wasn't spraying DIRECTLY in your face. With very little room in the shower itself, it needed to be able to tilt downward more. We spent as much time at the pool as weather would allow - it was a bummer the pool bar closed so early on weekdays, as we would have liked to keep ordering drinks after the 5PM close. The pools were great, though, very aesthetically pleasing and the water was the perfect temperature. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for everyone. It was nice to have two separate pools since the kids tended to stick to the pool with the water slide and the other pool could be more for the adults. We don't often splurge on room service, but we figured we would since we were on our honeymoon. On our second day, we called down to the front desk requesting a specific beer they had at the [now closed] pool bar. None of the other [open] restaurants served that particular beer, but an employee ran over to the pool bar and opened up their cooler to grab us a 6-pack. We paid out the nose for that 6-pack, but hey, it was worth it! Great customer service. We look forward to returning soon and bringing our pup!

Yelp
Ok, so this was our Bend stop on a recent family road trip. Me, wife, and three kids. They should change the name to Bringalada Ranch. As in bring a lotta cash. A stay here will cost you. Nice place, though. We stayed her for two nights in mid August. Our cabin was very nice. Clean, roomy, well appointed. Designated close by parking space in a covered carport. Had a full kitchen which we usually need with three kids, but didn't have time to fully use it. Brasada is a golf resort, so it comes with the usual features you would expect. Decent restaurant, activity center, kids stuff, nice pool area with bar. We were told by staff that Bend is only 15 minutes away. That may be true if you're using the absolute closest geographical point on Bend's outskirts. It took us probably a good 30 minutes to get to downtown. The pool area is nice with a kid slide on one end. Plenty of seating and a separate lap pool. There is also mens and womens locker rooms. You can sign up for activities such as horseback riding, fishing, bike rentals. Activity center has ping pong, video games, movies, etc. They have a small convenience store on sight as well. You can even rent a golf cart to tool around in during your stay. Nice place. Expensive, but a good place to stay outside of Bend.

Yelp
Our family has spent tens of thousands of dollars here over the past 3 years, only to be spat on by management over a $175 golf dispute, where they were obviously in the wrong but wouldn't (and still won't) admit it. They were given so many chances to make this right, but it seems like they don't care about returning customers. They've permanently lost our business and I advise others to steer clear of this "resort".

Yelp
Our family had the greatest time at Brasada Ranch over the Christmas break. We rented a three bedroom cabin and were quite impressed with the property maintenance, cabin furnishings, and staff members! Spending time at the ranch definitely gives you time to enjoy life at a slower pace- something we all need once in a while. They have a wide array of amenities that I am sure are wonderful to experience in the warmer months. Their indoor/outdoor pool, gym, and restaurant were great! We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub at our cabin and loved feeding the horses on Christmas morning. Every single staff member we came in contact with was genuinely kind and positive. We can't wait to come back to experience more of what Brasada has to offer!

Yelp
I went to have get a facial. I was regrettably about an hour late. At the same time, they got me in & still gave me the best service to their ability's. Erin gave me an amazing facial. The fragrances smell so beautiful & fresh. I'm grateful that even though I was late, they fit me in, served me lunch & I got the full facial. Thank you

Yelp
I will preface my review that our stay was during Covid lock down. We were very thankful the resort was open and that we had somewhere to escape. Given that Conde de Nast rated this property as #1 in the NW, I had expected exceptional service at the minimum. Especially since most of activities were cancelled as well as housekeeping. Covid has made everything different, but I did not experience the level of hospitality I have at other 4 star resorts. Given the fact that occupancy is down, it would seem that they would over pamper the guest that were on property. The staff in the grocery store and the restaurant were a bit gruf and not too friendly and trying to coordinate with the he athletic center was challenging. We asked for an extra bottle of complementary wine, and the front desk staff had to go ask her manager quietly who was sitting within earshot. It was uncomfortable and it could have been an opportunity for the manager to come out and ask how our stay. The staff had not been trained to say yes to guest wants and needs without without hesitation. Never did they text or call to ask if we needed any more waters or towels. They only text each morning to see if we had Covid Symptoms. We had to call and ask what to do with the take out boxes that our expensive food came in. We were given some place settings and a little folding table to make eating in the room a little easier. The food was actually very good and the property itself was picturesque with panoramic views of the mountains. Our very quiet room was large and the bed was comfortable. I might try staying at the cabins in the summer with hopes that things will improve over time. Covid has everything not the same so I will hope for a better stay again in the future.

Yelp
The Ranch House Dining Room is casual and comfortable. We were guests staying in the ranch house. The menu is limited if you are staying longer than 2 days. Service is great. Staff is friendly. View is stupendous.

Yelp
Great pools and golf course. Food at Range is excellent and cabin rentals are stellar. Super place for adult weekend or a family get away. Mountain views abound!

Yelp
Paul and I just enjoyed Christmas breakfast at Brasada Ranch, and boy were we glad they were open today! Our server, Tim, was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere could not have been better. Sipping hot tea while gazing at the Cascade Mountains felt like an amazing dream. Paul had a waffle with some scrambled eggs on the side, and I had the biscuits and gravy. We shared a fruit bowl to ease our guilt about the otherwise indulgent meal. Everything tasted good. Thanks to the folks at Brasada Ranch for helping us start Christmas off on a high note!

Yelp
My group has been here at Brasada in a sage cabin for less than one day. So far our service has been bad at every turn. Check in was bad. Restaurant service was bad. Maintenance to fix a burned out light was bad. The only competent person we have encountered so far was the lady at concierge desk. Everyone seems kind of disconnected from the idea of service. Nothing but vague excuses, such as: oh the kitchen missed that; we Start check in at 4pm, you don't necessarily get your room at 4; we were supposed to call when your room was ready? Well Sometimes we have a bad connection to the pool area; maintenance man didn't show? He probably probably went to see if we have the right light bulb. Geez I worry what will happen on day 2!! Update: Food and Bev director was extremely gracious in addressing our issues around his organization. We are very impressed and more inclined to recommend the resort. It is a lovely setting. (Hopefully desk personnel will pay more attention)
