The 5 Best Peruvian Restaurants In Austin - Austin - The Infatuation

"Brasas Peruanas specializes in slow-roasted chicken over charcoal—AKA pollo a la brasas. The menu of anticuchos, papas rellenas, seafood soup, ceviches, and lomo saltado is comfort food of the highest order. This plain-spoken, well-lit space from the team behind Lima Criolla has built a loyal following of local families who flock here to share full chickens and bountiful seafood towers, all with a side of fries and salad. Their desserts are all worth ordering, but if you’re in the mood to drink your carbs, get a maracuya sour for an intense hit of fresh passion fruit from the full pisco bar." - nicolai mccrary, clara wang

This place tucked away in round Rock. It's definitely a cool little place to try some Peruvian food. That being said, let's talk about the experience. Little shop has an interesting parking lot. Arrangement used to be fast food drive-thru but now with the layout there's really only about five six parking spots you have access to. It's not a deal breaker, but I can see where it meets harder to find parking during busy or hours. Outside the shop it also says now open and the shop has been open for years so it's a little interesting choice of banner. I know that's probably nit picking but I figured it'd be important. Bar area. No drafts but definitely had a good selection of different types of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We chose to get their two signature Peruvian drinks. They were very delicious. The Passion fruit drink was a little sour which was nice. The chicha Morada was also very good. Probably my favorite of the two. I chose to get the Peruvian steak. I requested the tenderloin for the $7 up charge. My wife chose to get the aji de gallonia I must say that I did enjoy my wife's dish. It was very comforting and reminded me something I've eaten before. I just can't put my finger on it. The steak once it came out we immediately knew it was not a tenderloin. We went ahead and took the pictures and requested that the server to verify it was a sirloin and not a tenderloin on the plate. It was confirmed that it was a sirloin and unfortunately I didn't want to waste food. So I elected to eat the sirloin and they removed the $7 additional charge. That being said, I'm not a big fan of sirloins. I believe the flavor isn't as good as a tenderloin, so please be checking your steaks at least for when you make your purchase to verify you did get the cut of meat you asked for. At the waitresses suggestion we took on the mixed cake that had passion fruit mousse on top of chocolate cake. I thought it was pretty good. It was like the chocolate as much as she normally thought she would which is interesting for her to say that. Overall, I think the best thing on the plate for me was the plantains. Those things were fantastic. I enjoyed my wife's dish over my dish just because of the cut of meat. Would I give this place another shot? Sure all the other chance.

Google
The food here is excellent! We had the Ceviche, empanadas, plantains, and pollo a la brasa today. You can’t go wrong with any food you choose, fast service, consistently wonderful food, and great drinks.

Google
They are very few Peruvian restaurants in town so it’s nice to have Brasas Peruanas right in downtown round rock. This is a small restaurant and it looked like there was a second seating area behind the bar, but it was closed when I was there. Maybe they open it up if they get busy, but otherwise there’s only about a half dozen tables and a few seats at the bar in the front. The people working here are great and very helpful and if you’ve never had Peruvian food, this is a good place to start. The chicha is excellent, I always get chicha when I go to a Peruvian place. everything I’ve had here has been good so I highly recommend trying this out. The location is great just on the north side of the water tower next to round rock donuts.

Google
Had lunch today and ordered the Aji de Gallina. Authentic Peruvian chicken dish with potatoes, a creamy sauce, a boiled egg and olive. Super delicious and make sure you ask for the Peruvian sauce on the side for an extra spice kick! Portions are large enough to share. Our server was very attentive and helpful as we learned about various dishes and drinks. Can't wait to return!

This place was absolutely amazing!! We highly recommend anybody come here and try this delicious restaurant! Dallas was our server and he was out of this world amazing! So personable so friendly! We own a couple businesses here in downtown round rock and will definitely be referring our clients to them! And we will be backagain soon!

Google
This food was so good and what my soul needed. Everything is made fresh. I got the pork adobo and the meat fell apart. Be sure to get the Peruvian hot sauce on the side to add a little kick.

Yelp
Great service and good food! If you're looking to try Peruvian food you've got to give them a shot. It's close to downtown Round Rock so places to walk around to afterward. Order Salchipapas Sweet plantains Arroz con mariscos Ahi de gallina All good stuff. The salchipapas is really for those who don't want to venture out and try something different. Parking is pretty limited but not hard to find. We will be back!

Yelp
Unassuming, approachable, yet delicious! From the outside you might think this is like any other Central/Southern American spots, but try it once and you'll see how special the food is - Peruvian at its best! Easy to get to with its location in downtown Round Rock, it's a good place to check out if you're in the area and crave for some ceviche or empanadas. Grilled heart was on the menu so I had to check it out - it was good, but relatively plain. Ceviche was good, so were the empanada and the shredded chicken entree we got. Service was attentive with a casual vibe. We'll be back!

Yelp
Loovvveeee meself some Peruvian Cuisine! I was just cruising around downtown Round Rock and caught the Brasas Peruanas sign out the corner of my eye. So, I pulled over and did a quick search on Yelp. I had to give it a shot based on the stellar reviews and I'm happy to report...no disappointments here! If you are heading to downtown Round Rock from the south side, Brasas Peruanas is one of the first restaurants you will come across as soon as you enter the down town area, especially if you are driving on Mays St. The venue has an interesting layout. A decent amount of seating, however the restaurant is split by a bar in the middle. As soon as you enter there is a seating area to your left, then a bar slightly to the right that is flanked by more seating. I opted to sit at the bar and enjoy my meal. There are a few parking spaces right outside the restaurant, but if the lot gets full there is an ample amount of street parking in the vicinity. #PeruvianEats: ~ Aji de Gallina - 4/5 Over the years I've learnt to gauge how good a Peruvian restaurant is based on their Aji de Gallina. A classic staple of Peruvian cuisine. They need to get this one right. The perfect balance of the sauce; not too spicy, yet creamy and nutty at the same time. Then there is the consistency of the shredded chicken; moist and juicy, can't be dry or stringy. This one checks all the boxes. ~ PISCO SOUR TRADITIONAL - 4/5 Love meself a good Pisco Sour. Well balanced; earthy, slightly sweet and tart without being overly sour. I'd love to try the other dishes when I'm back in the area.

Yelp
I would definitely return. The food was amazing : (tasted like authentic Peruvian food), the service was fast and kind, and the place is homey. The food tasted like it was made at home with love

Yelp
Located in Downtown Round Rock, next door to Round Rock Donuts. They have the potential and the enthusiasm to really become great! They're friendly and serviceable, but not flawless. Attentive, but sometimes hard to catch them when they're very busy. Make sure your utensils appear clean. They need to pay a little closer attention to the overall cleanliness of their utensils and probably upgrade the interior, for a more clean look. Occupancy is 53 persons, but they lack adequate onsite parking; however street parking is available. Biggest upset of our first visit was that they ran out of rotisserie chicken and we were told that we would've had to wait one hour for it. When you think of visiting a Peruvian restaurant, you are more than likely craving that very popular Peruvian flavored rotisserie chicken. Was disappointed that they ran out. This should never happen. But this place is well-deserving of a second chance. Since they ran out of rotisserie chicken, we settled for fried rice with chicken for the kids. The kids enjoyed it, but it was truly just okay. It tasted a little off. Probably won't have our kids eat that again. We also asked for fries first the kids, but they failed to remember and didn't bring it out. By the time they realized it, we were ready to go. Wife had their Ají de Gallina. It included white rice and half a boiled egg. It was very rich and also enough to feed two. Good flavor, . Took the rest to go. I ordered Bistec A lo Pobre, which consisted of steak, garlic-flavored white rice (so good), a fried egg, salad, fries and just two pieces of fried plantain. They should've included at least 4-5 pieces of fried plantain. Nonetheless, this entree was so delicious and highly recommended. We weren't thrilled with their drinks menu, so we all had their Jugo de Parcha (passion fruit juice. A staple, and family favorite. We love lots of flavor in our food, and we love Peruvian cuisine, so we will definitely return.

Yelp
The food was great. Intimate ambiance serving traditional Peruvian offerings. My son loved the alfajores. The Lomo Saltado was very flavorful. Would've preferred a bit bigger portion with more meat, but the price was reasonable so not a very big deal. The only thing that made me give them 4 instead of 5 stars is that there were only 3 tables seated in the restaurant and it took about 20-25 minutes for us to even have our drink order taken. Not ideal when dining with a 4 year old but it is what it is. Outside of that, the service was very friendly when it arrived and they were attentive once the drink order was taken. They have a few items on the menu u that can actually fill you up and serve as a whole meal if not that hungry for $5 or less which is nice for families or those dining on a budget. I'm not in round rock super often but would definitely be willing to give them another shot and hopefully an update to 5 stars when I am because everyone has an off night here and there as we all know!

Yelp
We used to have to drive to Dallas for this level is Peruvian food. No more! Right in our little Round rock. Staff was amazing and friendly. My husband is Peruvian so he spoke to them. I had no clue. lol. I can only describe the dishes but they are named in the photos. Our appetizer was a potato salad stuffed with shredded chicken in the middle. A spicy sauce garnished the dish. If you look at the view from the top, the cute cuttings of the olives and peppers are an excellent touch. Now let's get down to those dishes. We share them. I cannot say 1 bad thing about them at all. Steak cooked to perfection! The picture of spices-oh my! The creamy sauce with the chicken was fabulous. They both had a slight kick. We wanted a dessert but they were out. So we opted for sweet plantains instead-which would have been my dessert anyways! Again cooked to perfection! They gave us the most dainty cookie to celebrate our anniversary too. So glad we found this gem. We will be back for sure!

Yelp
My husband and I visited this place on a Sunday afternoon after what looks to have been a Sunday Rush. We had planned to come for a while as we always smelled it while waiting in line at Round Rock Donuts! There was always a crowd there. We've also never had Peruvian food. This place clearly attracts many of Austin's Spanish and English Speaking communities. Our waiter spoke English, but needed clarification at times. He actually greeted my husband and I in Spanish! Luckily I speak Spanish and was able to translate things that may have been misunderstood. We really enjoyed our food here. What I enjoyed most was how hot everything came out. It was evident that things weren't just sitting around. This is what we ordered: Chicken Arepas (Pollo) - 5/5 Lomo Saltado - 4/5 Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos - 4/5 1/2 Chicken - TBD (we got it to go) The arepas were so delicious! I can't attest to the other proteins, but the chicken arepa was great and fresh! I really like the lomo saltado with the garlic rice. The only issue is that the meat was a little overcooked and tough. But the gravy was amazing! The seafood rice, it's not called that on the menu, was also really good! We would definitely visit again and try their ceviche and other items on the menu. If it smells good from the outside, they're doing some amazing cooking on the inside. I recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
Outstanding Peruvian restaurant. A real find. * * * This is NOT haute cuisine Peruvian or Yuppie Peruvian. It is not Peruvian for Americans. Sadly, you don't get the Peruvian for Peruvians that involves super-exotic ingredients - like one of their 24 different kinds of potatoes. They have to work with what is available in Round Rock, Texas. What they put out is a standard set of everyday routine Peruvian dishes. Your basic marinated broiled chicken. Your basic marinated broiled beef heart. Your basic rice with stuff in it. Your basic ceviche. * * * What makes this place super wonderful is the execution. These are simple dishes done insanely well. There is only one other place in town that you can get a broiled chicken as good as the chicken at Brasas Peruanas. (Surprise surprise, it is Inka Chicken on Wells Branch - also a Peruvian restaurant but with a fast food take.) Dishes get served with three sauces. It was a shame to put sauce on that magnificent superlative chicken ... But the sauces are so good it is hard not to. The chicken comes with plain ordinary French Fries. Dipping French Fries in the sauces is guilt free pleasure. And yeah ... putting the sauces on the chicken is like putting hot fudge sauce on ice cream. Its worth doing. * * * They do have one dessert I have never seen anywhere else. That dessert is up there with seeing Niagara Falls. It is up there with seeing your least favorite football team lose by seven touchdowns. This is their chocolate cake with maracuya (passionfruit) mousse on top. Most tropical Latin American countries do a maracuya mousse. If they have maracuya mousse, you totally want it - No matter what country you are in. Because commercial providers make insanely good maracuya mousse, You can even order the mousse in places that serve industrialized factory food, And your dessert will be just fine. The Peruvians take maracuya mousse and put it on chocolate cake. No one else does that. Everybody else SHOULD do that. Chocolate cake - which is not all that thrilling a dessert by itself - Becomes absolutely totally amazing beyond belief with a thick coat of passionfruit mousse on top of it. Maracuya mousse is the ultimate destiny for chocolate cake that wants to improve itself. It is the basilica on the top of Saint Cecilia's mountain that allows chocolate cake to finally enter the gates of heaven. I think you get the basic idea here. DO NOT LEAVE BRASAS PERUANAS WITHOUT ORDERING ________________ (Fill in the blank yourself) * * * Yelpers who like craft artisanal food tend to gravitate to the New East Side. Yelpers who like real deal Asian food tend to be drawn up 183 to Anderson Mill and Cedar Park. Yelpers almost never gravitate to downtown Round Rock. If Round Rock gets more places like Brasas Peruanas - You may need to put a third location on your food map.

Yelp
Small restaurant. Once you come in to your right is the bar and very left is the kitchen. Small dining area in between and then some bar seating. The 1/4 Chicken was moist and delicious. Fries has great seasoning ingredients it. The red-ish sauce was my favorite due to the little kick of spicy. The bistee a lo Pobre was okay. The steak was a little over cooked for my tasting and salty. The garlic rice didn't have enough garlic to be considered garlic rice. Service was decent a little bit of a wait to get our menu and some of the table and chair needed to be cleaned. Food came out in a decent time and they check out on us a couple of time.

Yelp
Small sweet location with home style Peruvian food. Pleasant ambiance and good service. Very generous portions. I had vegetarian platter that had tasty quinoa salad, yucca, salad, sweet potato, fried plantains and other goodies. Husband had half chicken which came with fries and a large salad. Full bar. Reasonably priced.

Yelp
I've been looking for authentic Peruvian food in Austin, forever, and while I have found a few other Peruvian places, this is definitely the closest thing around here. The lomo saltado is really tasty, and it is clear it is done correctly (flambe) which gives it a nice smoky saucy flavor. The only improvement would be if the meat used was slightly higher quality. We also got an Adobo, which was very flavorful and saucy as well Will definitely be back and check out other items.

Yelp
If you spend time in downtown Round Rock, specifically near Round Rock Donuts, you may find yourself walking past Brasas Peruanas. Great reviews online prompted a visit, and walking in on a weekday night, it was fairly empty, but still with a relaxing and cheerful atmosphere. We weren't very familiar with Peruvian cuisine, so we mostly went with the highly recommended dishes. We started with the Causa and the Yuca a la Huancaina. The Causa was overall pretty tasty and filling, with a strong reminder of potato salad. The Yuca fries were nice and crispy, although the yuca itself was a bit bland. For entrees, we ordered the Tallarines a la Huancaina and the Lomo Saltado. The Lomo Saltado was packed with flavor and carbs. The Tallarines a la Huancaina consisted of sauteed beef on top of fettucini-like noodles lightly coated in a thick sauce. Unfortunately this dish looked and tasted fairly bland. The beef was tough and chewy, and while I personally go light on salt on most things I eat, the sauce was severely lacking on the saltiness. We also took home two Alfajores cookies. The cookies had a nice texture and the dulche de leche was very sweet. Despite the positive reviews, I felt that a lot of the food that I ordered were bland and the beef overcooked. May come back to try their other items, but it overall doesn't elicit a lot of enthusiasm.

Yelp
Loved everything! The Pisco Sour was Tried a few dishes and they didn't not disappoint! Will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
We were recommended to try this spot for some authentic Peruvian cuisine and it did not disappoint! The staff was super friendly and got us seated quickly. We ordered the Adobo, Tallarin Saltado & Arroz Chaufas de Mariscos. The seafood rice was decent; the rice could use more flavors but there were tons of seafood. I mixed in some sauce and it still tasted very good. The tallarin saltado was super interesting, the noodles had a great taste but the steak was a little tough. The adobo was my favorite; the meat was super juicy and tender and the sauce over rice was fantastic. I could've ate a second plate. Overall it was a great meal and we would love to return to try the other dishes. We recommend!
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
Decided to be adventurous for a Father's day meal. Brasas Peruanas did not disappoint. All the dishes my family and I had were outstanding. My steak was seasoned well and the plantains were great. My sons rotisserie chick was flavorful and juicy. The seafood was well prepared.
google avatar

Yelp
Good food. Can't say more about the place coz this is my 1st time here. But so far, the fish ceviche was sooooo goood. Yummy! Next time, I will try their desserts , and the other food options. We got our food on time, which was a pickup late in the evening. The place was not crowded and it's a cute and cozy place, not loud at all.

Yelp
It's been a few years since I've had some great Peruvian food so I definitely had to make it a point to come here based on the Yelp reviews, and finally had the chance to do so yesterday. My husband and I ordered their Family Combo Chicken that came with a whole chicken, rice, french fries, and salad and Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos. The chicken was good, but their Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos .....DELICIOUS! I highly recommend getting this ...every bite was flavorful with shrimp, scallops, mussels and squid, yum. Portion sizes were good so we definitely had leftovers. Also, this space was formerly Fuego Latino Gastropub and right next door to Round Rock Donuts. Will definitely be back soon!
google avatar

Laurie W.

Yelp
The food is well prepared and tasty. The empanada was sweet which was unusual for me but didn't taste bad. Their version of flan is denser like bread pudding and I loved it. The seafood and rice was tasty although some of the seafood items in it I don't enjoy. That's on me not on them. I recommend giving it a try!
google avatar

Leah G.

Yelp
The food is delicious and authentic. The ceviche, arroz chaufa, lomo saltado, and yuca fries are awesome. Don't skip out on the pisco sour either! We also had the tamales and empanadas, which were also standout. Our service both times we've been has been awesome, and the vibe is relaxed and welcoming. Definitely try it out!
google avatar

Tammy B.

Yelp
The food and service were excellent! The best Peruvian food I've had in the Austin area. I highly recommend it. The only downside was noise. The dining room is all hard surfaces, and with two loud tables in the room, we couldn't hear each other talk. However, I will go back whenever I'm in Round Rock for the delicious food!
google avatar

Yelp
Such an incredible restaurant! Good, affordable and Tasty. A foodie heaven! I drove over an hour to check it out and was not disappointed.

Yelp
Never tried Peruvian food before, but let me just say -- I am won!! Absolutely delicious food, great price point, and our waitress (unfortunately don't remember her name) was so, so sweet. She even brought my friend a side of sauce from a separate dish to try with his entrée so that he'll know what to get "next time." Lovely dining experience!
google avatar

Jamila A.

Yelp
We went here for lunch and it was YUM! We had the 1/2 chicken, lomo saltado, and for the drink I had the Inca Cola we will be back! The lomo saltado was steak pieces with rice and French fries-very flavorful. 1/2 chicken - rotisserie chicken with French fries and salad-they gave sauces which were really good!
google avatar

Jeff A.

Yelp
A cozy spot! Definitely coming back. The food was amazing and my server was friendly.

Yelp
I never had Peruvian food before until I try this restaurant. I've order from this restaurant few times on uberEat and I really enjoy their food. I've try their rotisserie chicken, tamal, adobo limeno, empanada and a few more. All of those dishes taste really good.

Chris S.

Yelp
Food is great. Everything I have had so far is good. My kids love the chicken soup. Friendly service and clean space.

Yelp
Just discovered this place today. The chicken was fall off the bone delicious! The three sauces were unique and tasty....the red one is very hot, the green is creamy and smooth. The white sauce is tasty. The dressing for the salad was fabulous too. I changed out the French fries for white rice and was glad I did. Really tasty with any of the sauces on the rice. I'll come back and try other things on the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent authentic Peruvian food. Everything is made fresh daily. I've been here many times. Never had a bad meal

Yelp
Good service, interesting food and drinks. Recommend trying their hot pepper and cheese sauce and their unique drinks for sure

Yelp
Everything we ate was fabulous! We were brand new to Peruvian food. So that being said we could barely pronounce what we ordered.. we were thrilled with all of it! Their sauces are amazing. The orange ish one was super spicy so beware if that's not your thing. The servers were very friendly and the place was super cute!

Yelp
I was originally going to give this place 5 stars but had to dock off a star due to my latest experience there. ***FOOD*** - Tallarin Saltado Limeno (4.5/5) - This is usually my go to dish. It's basically stir fry noodles with beef. My only critique is that the meat can be a bit tough sometimes. - Empanada (5/5) - I've only gotten the beef empanada so far. They give you a slice of lime to squeeze into the empanada after you have taken a bite. This is the first time I've ever had an empanada that has a piece of hard boiled egg inside. Love it. - Causa (5/5) - From the picture menu, I initially thought this was a dessert until my friend ordered this once and I was shocked by how tasty it was. It doesn't fill me up but man this is yummy! - Chicken (3.5/5) - This comes with a salad and fries and 3 different sauces. I'm just okay with this. ***SERVICE*** Try going during non-peak hours. Everyone looks frantic when it's during rush hour. Usually when we go, there's only one or two other tables with diners but the latest time we went, it was pretty much a full house. I ordered the Causa and empanada while my partner ordered the Quarter Chicken. My food and the sauces for the chicken came out...but that was it. No chicken. We figured it was just taking awhile to prepare the chicken but 40 minutes later, our server came over to give us our bill. We were like um...we still haven't gotten our chicken... By this point, other parties that came in after us already ordered, ate, paid and left. During the whole time while we were waiting, we couldn't really flag any of them down because we were in the dining area by the bar section of the restaurant and all the servers were frantically rushing all around to serve the larger parties in the main dining area next to the kitchen. It was truly just an unfortunate dining experience for us that day. Hopefully this doesn't happen to us or to anyone else again.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much from the outside but I'm so glad we ate here. The chicken, the pork, the seafood, everything was great. We had zero leftovers. The wait staff was very pleasant and patient and accommodating. We also had the flan, some cookie-like pastries I forgot the name of and a spinach empanada. I'm not a flan lover but my two friends are and they raved about it. I will definitely be back to order all the stuff we didn't get this time.

Yelp
We got seated really fast. It was fairly empty in there. We didn't get asked what we wanted to drink for at least 5 mins. Ordered some beers. That was fast to come out. Any other restaurant at least offers water with a drink, they didn't. We had to ask. Seemed like we were bothering them for water though. Food was brought out and we never got asked anything again. Not if we wanted another drink, or more food. Not that I would want more food because it was awful. Tasteless, luke warm. The hospitality was a zero. Our actual waitress was not mean, just absent. She was really sweet in the 2 minutes that we saw her the whole experience. I don't understand how other people are getting these great experiences. The best thing I can say is that this place is clean and it smells like they make good food. Don't be fooled. Total skip and would never come back.

Marilyn M.

Yelp
I had the adobe and my husband had the 1/4 chicken (after first bite he wished he got the 1/2 chicken) The best to set off all flavors were those 3 sauces they served ... and the salad dressing, I'd get a quart of that to take home! I have many more items I want to try. So far so good folks. And service was good.... M

Yelp
Lots of Food options that sounded so good but I could not order them all. Service was pretty good. I did end up ordering 4 meals for the two of us. Flavor was pretty good 8/10.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but they really lacked in the service department. My family and I were seated and we placed our orders. After a reasonable amount of time, the waiter brought my wife and son's food. We waited for my food another 10min or so and I told my family to start without me. I looked around the place a few times for our waiter and I finally saw him chatting up with the only other table with customers. Not once did he glance over or return to ask about the food or to refill drinks and we were there for an hour. My family enjoyed their food, I only wish I would have gotten mine. This was a few months ago, hopefully things have gotten better, but we don't plan on returning any time soon to find out.

Yelp
Amazing flavors and customer service. It was our second time having Peruvian food and we loved it. Even our toddler and 8 year old kids loved every bit. We will be back!

Yelp
It's been days since I ate here but I still think fondly of the 42 minutes I spent at Brasas Peruanas. The rotisserie chicken was cooked excellently and was moist, juicy, and full of flavor. The empanada was fluffy and had just the right amount of scrumptious filling to delight the senses. The pisco sour was the perfect accompaniment to all of the proteins and nicely strung my nostrils. And to top it all off - the alfajor cookie. Good mother of god. Let me repeat - GOOD MOTHER OF GOD. This dulce de leche sandwich cookie had my wheels spinning and left me begging for me. They're handmade at the owner's house and truly are a culinary gift sent from the gods.

Yelp
Came during late lunch on a Friday cute little place with limited parking. We both ordered the quarter chicken that comes with fries and a salad. To taste we got the plantains, spinach and cheese empanada and pork tamal. The waitress brought out the sauces first and they are all very good. Chicken was moist and good flavor- whatever seasoning the put on the fries was tasty. The empanada was just 3 stars for me- the tamal was just a giant tamale with pork. The plantains were nice- great service - would def come back

Yelp
The Aji de Gallina tastes more like a curry than the authentic style. The chicken is usually pretty good but it was pretty dry this time. The Ceviche is done pretty well!

Yelp
I came here recently after a quick search for Peruvian restaurants. The reviews here were good so I decided to eat here. I had the beef and chicken empanadas and fried sweet plantains for appetizers. The empanadas are top notch both were VERY good l, something about the dough, it's sweet soft and flavorful! The sweet plantains were plentiful and fried perfectly. I had the 1/4 Rotisserie Chicken which came with fries, salad and a homemade vinegarette. The chicken was decent by itself but even better with the accompanying mild and 2 spicy salsas. For around $10 this isn't a bad choice at all. My wife has the Adobo, which is a citrus marinated pork served with a slice of sweet potato in a delicate stew. It came with garlic rice for the side. The pork was delicious and tender, a tad bit heavy on the salt for me however. This entree came with no salsas. We both ordered the Maracuyá Sour, which is like passion fruit juice with alcohol or rather Maracuyá Peruvian wine. When I came in the restaurant I was greeted immediately, we had an idea of what we wanted and we got our drink promptly. The food didn't take long either about 15 minutes.bWhen we dined it wasn't busy, about 6 tables full in a restaurant double that size, I'd say. However there was one waitress and when I needed something I had to call her name when she passed by. So average service but not in a negative way. The parking lot could probably fit about 15 vehicles so be aware if this llave is busy you may have to use street parking the restaurant was easy to find. I would come back here to try the steaksl entrees.and eatore empanadas. And for the seemingly authentic Peruvian experience, meaning they spoke Spanish and had a few Peruvian customers. I could tell from the accent.

Yelp
This place may not look like much from the outside but the food is excellent. They have fantastic ceviche and the prices are very reasonable. The pisco sours weren't that memorable but everything we ate was top notch. If I ever return to Round Rock this will be the first restaurant I come back to.

Yelp
Always looking for delicious ceviche limoñe and they so so delivered! Perfect amount of spice with the limoñe marinade. Mmm Service was super fast. Premium pisco sour was perfection. If you're in the area or even remotely close and need your Peruvian fix, this is it.

Yelp
I really enjoy supporting local places. Here the staff is joyous and the place is clean while great music plays in the background. Antichucos is really good here - Grilled Beef Heart with white Peruvian corn and potatoes. Simple clean flavors. I also added chicken and beef empanadas; they are Sweet and Savory in one bite. Great atmosphere at a simple new place that's been on my list. My taste buds always crave adventure without needing a passport. Definitely coming back

Yelp
Takeout service experience was great. After reading the reviews I decided to try out the arroz con mariscos which consist of seafood mix, shrimp, calamari, and Mussel. I was expecting for the food to taste some what like paella, however it was definitely not similar to the taste of paella. The flavor of tomatoes and other spices are overwhelming.
