The 32 Best Coffee Shops For Getting Work Done In Los Angeles

"Bricks and Scones looks like an early 2000s castle, complete with chalkboard menus and brightly colored walls. But you're not here for aesthetics. You're here because you ignored a deadline and need somewhere to drown your nervous system in caffeine. This Larchmont coffee shop is that spot: two floors filled with large wooden tables, big comfy couches, and a barebones patio out front. No one here is trying to bother you, and everyone's typing away and minding their own business." - nikko duren, brant cox, sylvio martins

"Thanks to ample comfy seating, speedy Wi-Fi, and a low-key vibe, this two-story coffeehouse is perpetually buzzing with laptop-wielding students, writers, and freelancers. The upstairs study serves as a dedicated no-talking room with individual desks and reading lamps. Meanwhile, the mini library, which operates on a take one/give one system, is a great option if you're looking for a nice spot to curl up with a good book. The menu ticks off all mandatory study-food boxes: sandwiches, scones, and enough inventive coffee drinks to sate all of USC. "

Love ❤️ the seating choice - bright 🌞 patio street side or cool, dark interior - very cool 😎 place. We drove 4 hours to get there (in search of Ireland/UK quality scones) - which were, in my opinion, just OK 👍 with a vast variety of choices. Overall, a delightful experience 😊

Google
Stopping by Bricks & Scones was the greatest way to start my week! First, they have endless seating options from the giant front partially shaded patio to the cafe, side patio, and upstairs seating! The staff was super friendly and helped me sort through their large menu. Coffee tea and sweet treats available in addition to sandwiches salads and soups. Highly recommend this Larchmont Gem ✨

Google
The perfect European-themed cafe / study spot. I feel like a modern day Belle studying and eating at this cafe. The cafe has two stories. Both have ample seating. First floor’s temperature is a lot cooler and there’s a nice breeze (good for the summer heat). The second floor is more stuffy, but it is quieter and more individualized so you can focus on work. There’s plenty of NICE seating outside too, where you can work or chitchat. The menu is very diverse ranging from drinks to whole meals. I always get their bottomless iced tea which is around $7, and you can refill it however many times you please. I’ve had their earl grey scone (couldn’t taste much earl grey but you see the tea leaves in there) and matcha white chocolate scone with jam and butter - solid 3.5/5. I’d get it again because it’s simple and easy to eat. I also tried the breakfast quesadilla which was pretty good 4/5! For lunch later, I tried the chicken pesto sandwich was really delicious 4.8/5. Their side of salad is pretty yummy too. Their menu is very captivating, and I definitely want to come back to try more. Parking is street meter parking. Service is very friendly. Atmosphere is perfect.

Google
I had a wonderful Wednesday! The coffee was so tasty- sea salt caramel latte! It’s little bit sweet at the bottom, make sure you mix them well! The Chicken sandwich was delicious too and a good portion:) We also had one matcha scone, fig scone and earl gray scone!!

Google
Great place to get a coffee and do work. I like how the place to order coffee is in a different room from the seating, it helps preserve a quiet environment to get work done. Absolutely recommend the hot tiramisu latte. It comes with a chocolate wafer baton to sip out of and very tasty. Parking kinda sucks but you can snag a free spot near the residential streets. I would definitely bring a friend to this place.

Google
The place has a cozy vibe with great coffee and friendly staff. The seating is comfortable, and the Wi-Fi is reliable, making it a good spot to work or relax. The pastries are fresh and pair well with the drinks. It’s a bit busy during peak hours, but the service remains efficient. Overall, a solid choice for coffee lovers.

Google
First of all, they have a pretty big parking lots! Perfect for parking!! And there are many seats both indoors and outdoors. Good vibes. Good for remote work, study and reading books. If you look at the name here, you'll know, the scone is really good. And this chicken breast sandwich was good as well. I would recommend sourdough for bread! This sandwich is quite large so you can share it with two ppl.

Google
My friend found this place online and suggested that we have breakfast here. I got an iced americano and a breakfast bowl. Both were delicious! The breakfast bowl had the perfect amount of food for me to stay full until early dinner. The only downside was that it was definitely a challenge to find paid street parking as they don't have a parking lot. I had to make several u-turns just to find a spot.

Yelp
Cute and aesthetic coffee shop with plenty of outlets and wifi! I visited this coffee shop for lunch on a Thursday and it was decently busy. Walking-in, I loved the vibe. There was outdoor and indoor seating and the vibe felt livery homey. It was as if pieces from an old mansion were repurposed to make this cafe. Their menu was big, but ordering was pretty easy. The staff were pretty nice. They gave me a buzzer and buzzed it so I could pick up my order. I sat outside and I was surprised to see plenty of outlets scattered everyone which was rare for LA coffee shops. The outdoor area was also nice and shaded. I ordered the iced tiramisu latte, turkey mozzarella pesto sandwich and matcha white chocolate scone. The latte was okay. It was super rich and thick because of the cream and was also very sweet. It was a bit too indulgent for me though. The sandwich was decently good and the server recommended me to get it on sourdough which was good. The bread was crispy. The sandwich was a bit too wet though since they added a lot of sauce. I also wish they used fresh turkey meat rather than deli slices. They also only gave me a mere two slices of turkey which was very thin compared to the rest of the components so I barely tasted any turkey. The side salad was nice though. Lastly, the scone was okay. It was soft and moist on the inside but the exterior was a bit burnt. My friend seemed to like it more than me. The total for all of these was $28 which was a bit on the pricey side but the food was still decently good. Overall, a good experience here and I would come again. I'm ranking this higher mainly for the vibe and setup. Would love to come back to tre other drinks and food items.

Yelp
If a cafe can be a happy place, this is my happy place. From the coffee, to the food, to the varied seating options, everything about Bricks & Scones is wonderful. I only recently discovered it but have come numerous times over the last few months as I was finishing a big project. I've sat here for hours at a time: getting more coffee, moving inside or outside, and enjoying the space while working. There's a unique vibe - it's both communal and independent at the same time. If you want to chat with people around you, that feels like an option. If you want to keep to yourself, you can do that too. Each time I'm there, I've encountered the same shared calm energy that you don't always get at a cafe in a big city.

Yelp
Pretty impressed with the plenty of seating, both inside and out. Lining up near the counter can be weird, but service was super fast. Americano - classic drink. Pretty smooth, kind of on the bitter side but I didn't mind it. Earl grey scone - barely sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. You'd think the straight tea leaves might be unpleasant, but you'd be surprised. A little cakey on the inside and crispy on the outside Challah french toast - This was delicious. Toast had a bit of a crust and on the sweeter side. Comes with fresh fruit and a nice cream too. I'd definitely order again Good place to stop by for a sweet treat or do some work. Their pastries and breakfast foods seem to be solid, and the area is fairly walkable and connected with public transit. Better than the average cafe in LA.

Yelp
We absolutely adore bricks and scones! Its cute outdoor seating atmosphere (with optional seat cushions and some umbrellas) is perfect for catching up with friends or getting work done. We love their large mug pour over coffees (all their drips are done in a pour-over style) and are strong in the best way. Love their green smoothie and iced coffee options as well. I wish their rewards system was easier / more publicized but the best way to join is to ask for a printed receipt and follow the instructions printed. Rating 4* for that and the breakfast quesadilla was just okay so stick to the smoothies and coffee pretty plz. Minimal parking in the rear of the establishment but probably your best bet is metered street parking! Enjoy :)

Yelp
I made a very quick stop at Bricks and Scones - popped in an hour before closing to get some work done. It's very cool inside, feels a bit cramped but they've done a lot with the space to make it feel more cosy than claustrophobic. There were definitely seats available when I stopped in at 6 on a Saturday but I imagine space fills up quick. But ultimately, people were respectful of others when it came to noise. Got a hot tiramasu latte and it was very good. Their menu looks fun and I can't wait to try some more items. Good service, Wifi is very fast, not hard to find an outlet. Solid 4 stars with room for growth once I try more of their menu.

Yelp
No ac very warm inside Only one worker taking orders and making them which took awhile Very cute decor inside and out Nice and quiet cafe Drinks were ok Passionfruit lemonade was a bit bitter Orange juice tasted homemade Hong kong milk tea was flavorless and unsweetened and they left a teabag in my cup

Yelp
This spot has ample seating both indoor and outdoor which is a huge plus in LA! The service was quick for drinks and coffee prices are reasonable but the coffee was just okay...I tried their Vietnamese coffee and was disappointed but had a caramel latte a different time and it was fine. They have food options as well but I didn't try.
google avatar

Yelp
Very cute and cozy little coffee shop tucked away in Larchmont village. I ordered a salted caramel latte, that I enjoyed on their beautiful patio surrounded by plants and flowers, it's such a hidden gem. The latte itself is pretty good, it's not artisanal quality, but it's a step above chain store quality. The service is great as well, very welcoming and just good vibes.

Yelp
The food and beverages were decent, enjoyable but pretty normal. The service and genuineness from the staff is what's big to me, they're very cool and friendly. This is one of those really cool places you go to have a nice quiet time, to me it's always felt like a café library, but in the best way possible.
google avatar

Rebecca T.

Yelp
Bricks & Scones is just a block away from the hustle and bustle of Larchmont Village, located on the quieter part of Larchmont Blvd. It's a spacious, two-story establishment that's perfect for doing work, grabbing brunch, or even playing board games. And, of course, some world-class scones. I didn't get scones during my visit, but I did order a tiramisu latte: it came beautifully prepared and it tasted exactly like a tiramisu: rich, creamy, and earthy in its coffee flavor-- definitely like eating dessert! Service was a bit standoffish, but I did appreciate them offering the Wifi password to do some work inside. Overall, a cute cafe with decent drinks-- I hope to return to try the scones next time!
google avatar

Sarah Michael N.

Yelp
Great spot to sit outside with a pricey tea and pretend to write a script on your computer. Scones are dry and they don't have cream, only butter and jam. Staff is friendly, and you can watch all your neighbors walk to their doctor's appointments next door.
google avatar

Yelp
Especially nice "third place" environment with well-made coffee and other drinks and tasty pastries. Always full of writers.
google avatar

Hannah S.

Yelp
Fans of scone!! You must come here!! This place has some of the best scones in LA. Crispy on the outside and plush and buttery on the inside. The rosemary fig flavor is to die for! I also tried the earl grey, which could have had a stronger earl grey flavor but it's all good. I can also report that they make a solid cappuccino, which I think is very telling of good coffee in general. The vibes of this place are perfect for meeting someone or working/studying. There is lots of seating inside and a beautiful patio with lots of seating outside too. It has the ambiance of a quaint bookstore without having any books. Service was great.
google avatar

Jenny Y.

Yelp
They're known for their scones (obviously)!!! I tried the matcha scone and liked it a lot. My boyfriend got the lemon muffin which was okay. The scone was a great texture and flavor but lemon muffin was a bit sweet for us. Most people were working on their laptops or studying so it's not too great of a place to catch up. There is plenty of seating outside and indoors. The architecture of this place was so nice.
google avatar

Beatrice V.

Yelp
Located in larchmont village, this coffee shop has an outdoor patio and plenty of indoor seating, including a second floor. Great place to come to do work. I got an almond milk latte which was pretty good and I had to get a scone, given the name! I got the fig & rosemary scone. I wouldn't even consider myself a scone person but wow, I thought this was so good! It wasn't dry at all and had a great unique flavor. I would definitely come back to try others the next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Best scone I have ever had. I want to come here on a regular basis the only problem being that I don't live particularly close! Excellent service and the perfect atmosphere for my liking... I will be back when I have the time!
google avatar

Ashley Jean G.

Yelp
My favorite creative oasis with delicious scones. Quiet vibes and a wonderful place to gather with friends.

Yelp
Of all the cafés I've tried in LA, Bricks and Scones in Larchmont is hands down my favorite. They have the best coffee in the area, and as someone who takes coffee seriously, I can say they truly know what they're doing. Every cup is made just right, and somehow, they manage to surprise me every time--because it just keeps getting better. The staff here are the friendliest and most attentive people. No matter how busy it gets, they always make you feel welcome, and their consistency in service and quality is something I really appreciate. And then there's the atmosphere--quiet, inviting, and absolutely perfect whether you're working, reading, or just unwinding with a great cup of coffee. It's one of those rare spots where everything comes together effortlessly. If you haven't been, you're seriously missing out!
google avatar

Yelp
The avocado toast depicted here was $10. Flavorless, watery, not very toasted, and usually comes with cheese, weirdly. This must be the fattest profit margin of any cafe in the area, possibly due to the real estate for the location. Their food has suffered in quality over the last year or two, but this was a new low. Finished my toast before my tea was ready because somehow I was one of two guests and the kitchen was already in the weeds. I'm a former restaurant worker, so I have every sympathy, but I know when I'm being ripped off.
google avatar

Amber D.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a long time but I decided to stop by since it was nice out. WiFi works a lot better now (even if you sit outside in the back patio). I had a decaf americano and an egg avocado sandwich. The salad on the side was good as well as the sandwich. Nothing super special about it except that it was filling. It is a little loud music wise inside so if you decide to spend some time working there, it wouldn't be conducive for zoom meetings or anything. Otherwise a very nice place with nice baristas.
google avatar

Vitaliy G.

Yelp
This café located on Larchmont Boulevard in Los Angeles has been in this spot for quite some time. It's a two-story café where you can purchase your desired drink and snack from the counter right at the entrance and then sit anywhere you like. It's always not crowded here, making it a perfect quiet café for reading alone or studying. All drinks containing espresso are of high quality, and the simple meal menu, including scones, is also excellent. If you want to spend some quiet time in a café, I recommend this place.
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
On lovely Larchmont. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. A variety of pastries, which they will heat up for you (if they don't offer it, you can always ask). Got the veggie wrap, which was tasty. Regular latte was also good. Also tried the macha scone, and the cappuccino mocha coffee cake. Both were good. But the coffee cake was definitely worth it. I find scones just dry, but that's a personal preference. Typical metered street parking since this is Larchmont. Close walking distance to all the other shops and restaurants in the area. There were book groups, many people with laptops working, and even an animator drawing dogs as they were walking in.
google avatar

Theresa C.

Yelp
The best scones I've had in LA. So buttery and soft-make sure to ask for them warmed up! I especially loved the fig and rosemary scone. The cafe has old library vibes. Huge, quiet space with lots of tables. It's the perfect place for getting some work done. Street parking, but away from the busier part of Larchmont. If I were to base the review on the scones only, this would easily be a 5 star place. The coffee cake was really sweet and mushy though. The sandwiches I saw others ordering looked kind of limp and sad too. Also, everything is served on disposable paper plates, which cheapens the feel of the place, but not a deal breaker. Come for the scones only!
google avatar

D W.

Yelp
Nice place to work or meet a friend to talk. Lots of little nooks that provides a little privacy. Friendly service, great coffee.
google avatar

Maruko X.

Yelp
Ambiance 4/5: very stylish and old fashioned coffee place, giant chandelier on top of the ceiling and along the spiral stairs, there are four seating areas, front yard and back yard outside, dining hall and second floor inside, cozy vibes Service 1/5: terrible experience, the elder cashier was friendly, the barista had terrible attitude, and so rude when I asked about latte art for my coffee order Drink & Food 2/5: variety choices but awful quality MOCHA - *** average taste "NICK" - ** Almond milk latte Lemon Blueberry Scone - *** served with strawberry jelly and butter Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese - ** the bagel wasn't toasted Price 3/5: not worth the price $25 total especially for watery coffee
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast from Bricks & Scones this morning in Larchmont Village. Their double espresso is so bold and delightful. Perfectly perked me up for the day with great flavor. For my main, I had the bacon, egg and cream cheese everything bagel. Perfection in a breakfast! Ingredients all went together well in a toasty warm breakfast sandwich. I also ordered their chocolate chip cookie and loved it. I can be so finicky because my bias makes me think *I* make the best chocolate chip cookies, LOL! Their version is huge, full of choco bits and has the perfect combo of being chewy and crumbly. Absolutely scrumdiddlyumptious! Cute cafe with indoor and outdoor space, wifi connection so you can get some work done and great drinks & eats. I'm all in on Bricks & Scones!
google avatar

Sana T.

Yelp
Cute little spot that's walking distance from the main street in Larchmont! Lots of seating available and seems like a cozy spot for working or chilling out! The coffee was pretty good too!
google avatar

Mallory L.

Yelp
The staff here are friendly and this space is very cute! The food here is only ok. If you're looking for good food, skip it. If you're looking for a cute vibe and a place to read, this place is great. Also, for a place with "scone" in their name, I'd think they'd have more scone flavors. They had 2 when I went.
google avatar

Gabriel R.

Yelp
"Sticks and Stones may beak your bones" but Bricks and Scones will never fail you. Nice spot with a variety of scones and muffins. Pecan braid was very flavorful and this is one of the few places around that serve a blueberry lemon scone. Haven't tried anything else as of yet but love the quaintness of this place and always great to have fresh pastries Will stop by again to truly sample other offerings.

Steven W.

Yelp
I always like coming to Bricks and Scones. Good food, casual atmosphere. My NY Life insurance rep had me meet him here for a meeting and I keep going back
google avatar

Ali D.

Yelp
Love the ambiance, you can sit outside under the shades and enjoy the breeze or just inside and work on your laptop.(5/5) Had scones and a cafe latte. Both were decent. (4/5)
google avatar

Carolfrances L.

Yelp
Ambience is first for me. I check out a review of coffee houses in some neighborhood I am about to visit, and I read all the stuff about how their coffee is the best-tasting in the whole world or not so great. But all I want is something that tells me: Do they have seats that are comfortable to sit in for hours while I'm getting my writing done, and is the environment lovely? They post 1001 photos of their cups of coffee, and all I'm looking for is photos showing the ambience. Bricks and Scones is about as close as I can get to being out in nature while getting work done in the big city, and there is a pile of cushions in a bin by the door. The workers. treat me like a friend. And, by the way, their fig and rosemary scones are great. What more could I ask for? Time spent in Bricks and Scones is definitely worth the two bus rides each way for me to get there.
google avatar

Aarti V.

Yelp
Overall: Amazing spot, I'm so glad I stumbled upon it! Food: I ordered the sea salt caramel latte and it was so delicious I can't stop thinking about it. Both the drink and food menu were quite extensive and there were some options I could choose from that would accommodate my gluten-free dietary restriction. Ambiance: This place is so beautiful. It feels like you're in an old, cozy library. There are tons of tables and desks to work at (both on the ground floor, second floor, and the outdoor patio space) with lots of outlets available inside. The absolute perfect spot to get work done! Service: Great service! $$$: Pretty decent prices for LA
google avatar

Alejandra P.

Yelp
This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE COFFEE PLACE to have my quiet time, work, have alone time. It's quiet and spacious so you can select where you want to sit depending on the vibe for the day. The lattes are great. They're my go to. The tomato soup is really delicious too! I really don't want this place to become mainstream but it definitely should business wise. I just want to keep this gem to myself. The staff is great and they're always friendly. Maybe a punch card for those of us who frequent the cafe? Ha just me wanting another latte.
google avatar

Zach H.

Yelp
Love this place!! Has plenty of seating upstairs downstairs and outside! Great place to work/study. Coffee was good could've been bigger. Next time I ask for no room. Parking is a nightmare. Park in neighborhoods or pay on the street.
google avatar

Samantha G.

Yelp
I love bricks and scones! I used to sit here during grad school for hours and just recently popped in for a latte. It's just so good!! It's such a unique space with comfy couches and a quiet area. I missed it! The food and coffee are both excellent which explains why it's always so busy!
google avatar

Yelp
It was a nice, peaceful day and I figured it would be best to get things done at a coffee shop since they are usually my go-to spots when I cannot get work done at home. I went earlier in the year when there were more health protocols in place and I appreciate the care the staff put in to make this a safe place to go to. I ordered a breakfast burrito along with whole wheat toast and salad. I was pretty hungry and felt that something like this would be just right, and this meal truly was magnificent. It gave me the energy to finish what I had to work on and to top it all off, a small Caramel Macchiato, and a Matcha White Chocolate scone were wonderful supplements for this breakfast. I was able to sit at a table beside an outlet and saw that the tables had some type of protective glass between customers who were all wearing masks. I would certainly come back since I enjoyed this cozy shop!
google avatar

Romi K.

Yelp
It was solid. Not my favorite coffee but fine. Cute space outside to sit and nice for people watching.

Alice C.

Yelp
Beautiful cafe that is architecturally and aesthetically eye-catching. It feels like your stepping into a fancy library. My mom kept commenting on how nice the cafe looked. She had an Americano and I had an earl grey with milk. We split a muffin and scone. The tea was nice and soothing and the scone was so good. I wasn't a big fan of the muffin though and found it sorta bland.
google avatar

Jenna S.

Yelp
Pretty tasty with lots of seating! It was giving dark academia, cottage core vibes. My food was a bit on the eggy side (like, there was a lot of egg) but the coffee was delicious. I'd recommend coming here if you're looking for a chill place to study.
google avatar

Bailey C.

Yelp
Hidden gem in Larchmont! My fave local coffee shop to get work done! It has so many different workspaces and the vibes are always amazing. Everything's super cute inside and out on the patio. The lattes and cappuccinos are so good! I haven't had their food, only croissants which were great! The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the crowd is always good.
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
As much as I really enjoy their matcha scone, their staff is so unfriendly and stoic. I thought it was just that one girl, but nope. I visited three more times, and all were different staff members, yet all of them were unfriendly. Customers are actually the ones who make the ambiance great.
google avatar

Theresa V.

Yelp
Nice chill place to hang out for a bit. A lot of different seating options, outside, main dining room, little reading books and upstairs. We had sandwiches, salads, matcha tea latte, sea salt latte and a matcha scone. Food is ok. Nothing spectacular

Sandra K.

Yelp
Came early in the morning :) Place offers a wide range of options. I love their chocolate chip and matcha scone!

Yelp
12/12/21 Will be fair considering the hype is magnanimously over inflated. Ambiance=A- Food= B- Food presentation =C Price=C Customer service=C needs major improvement Super excited because Ive bookmarked this place a long time ago & have passed it several times. My love for cute & endearing places abound. What a huge, no, major, maybe monumental letdown! My stomach weeps a river full of disappointments. I wanted to really love this place. I went in with a positive heart & mind but was soon greeted with negativity as I approached the counter to order. In front of me, a gentleman who spoke at length with the cashier (I tried not to listen as I snapped photos for later use) took his time-as if no one else is patiently waiting behind him-just a person in her crutches who needed to rest her leg, soon. Finally he walks away. I smiled & greeted the cashier & the lady standing behind him. He says, "Cash only for now!", no, Hi, no acknowledgement, no smile, just a frustrated & flustered look about him & it was downhill from there. Maybe it's the B team or since it's Sunday, training day? I was famished & wanted to try their eggs benedict (the true test of any self respecting establishment that puts it on the menu). I inquired if they have options & he looks at me with this face that shouts (Don't you know?!), as he says, & points at a menu tucked in front of me. Did not hand it over but I took it. And by now I was being tested & I asked with an even toned voice..."unless you don't know anything about the menu?" He must've noticed that I was beginning to get heated & he took the menu and looked it over. I'm guessing he didn't know either. Since he's not a server, cant fault him for not knowing what their restaurant serves. Perhaps rebooting the cash register so he can take my order & charge instead of taking 'cash only' DID impact his ability to be mindful of his customer service manners. After that painful exchange, I was about to walk away & asked if we get a number & one another staff pointed at the pager that the cashier left on the counter. Oh. You order, pay, get a pager, look for a seat, wait. Luckily the food didn't take long, hubby picked up our eggs benedict (one ham, one salmon) and regular small coffee , diet Coke. $50. On paper plates & cup. Now am wishing we had either gone to Starling Diner in LB or Number 3 in Laguna. This experience will stay with me a while, like a bad haircut & pictures for posterity. B&S, you disappoint me. Two things that saved it from a 2 star, the fact the eggs were actually perfectly poached, & the mixed berry scone, nothing else. The hollandaise was bland & cold. My tastebuds were truly underwhelmed. The coffee was okay but weak. The parking situation is not favorable (street only). The staff are apathetic, shows no appreciation for its customers. There are better places for really good food with a cute ambiance & staff who can at the very least pretend that they appreciate the customers who patronize the establishment that employs them. Not Bricks & Scones. Just hype.

Yelp
Updating my review after a few years of hiatus. I met here recently with a couple of classmates so we could do some work together, and it was overall a nice, central location for us to meet. The café was not busy on a Saturday morning, and we were relieved we could find seating at a bigger table for us. Pretty dim inside, I wish there were more lighting, but overall I can't complain. The Wi-fi could have been better though. I was mostly writing an essay, so I didn't really use the internet too much, but my classmate left early because it was too slow for him. We each ordered a latte and some food (the menu seemed quite extensive) and finished our food throughout our stay. The food was OK, coffee was strong-ish. I ordered the chocolate chip muffin and really enjoyed it. A regular iced latte + choco muffin = $10 or so, not bad. The outside/patio area is really pretty, filled with greenery. I would have probably studied out there if the weather was warmer. Good space to just enjoy your coffee and hang with friends though. All in all, I still really love Bricks & Scones when there's seating available. I also gotta remind myself to bring an extra jacket and blanket for the next time because they really be cranking up the air inside. We were all wearing jackets, and it was still so cold I started sneezing lol. I guess they don't want the customers getting too comfortable, then they'll never leave and stay all day huh.

Yelp
Wow, literally a diamond in the rough for student/work people. A coffee shop heaven one in all spot. This cafe is a two story, front and back yard patio to eat and enjoy coffee or food while you work or study. Service is quick food is good and a few scattered outlets for laptops and chargers are available.

Yelp
The perfect European-themed cafe / study spot. I feel like a modern day Belle studying and eating at this cafe. The cafe has two stories. Both have ample seating. First floor's temperature is a lot cooler and there's a nice breeze (good for the summer heat). The second floor is more stuffy, but it is quieter and more individualized so you can focus on work. There's plenty of NICE seating outside too, where you can work or chitchat. The menu is very diverse ranging from drinks to whole meals. I always get their bottomless iced tea which is around $7, and you can refill it however many times you please. I've had their earl grey scone (couldn't taste much earl grey but you see the tea leaves in there) and matcha white chocolate scone with jam and butter - solid 3.5/5. I'd get it again because it's simple and easy to eat.

Yelp
Super cute cafe with tons of outdoor seating. We came here for lunch and to read and it was enjoyable. A lot of shaded area out front so bring a jacket if you get chilly easily!
