The 25 Best Restaurants In Santa Barbara - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Whenever you’re ready to be the kind of person who eats oysters and caviar while lounging on a shady patio along State Street, get yourself to this location of Malibu-based Broad Street Oyster Co. It’s one of the best, non-pretentious seafood spots in town, and it feels like it was decorated by thrift-store-raiding, hard-partying pirates. They’ve got everything from fried fish sandwiches and fresh oysters to Santa Barbara uni and one of the best lobster rolls on the West Coast (get it hot and buttered). There’s a cocktail bar up front and plenty of big booths in the back, and the whole operation stays open till midnight." - brant cox, sylvio martins, cathy park

L.A.’s Hottest Dining Scene Is Now Outside of the City

"Since it may not be the best idea to hop on a plane to Maine for a proper lobster roll right now, it's fortunate that Christopher Tompkins's Malibu seafood shack is just up the PCH. Tompkins and his team have created the beachside escape we all need, in this time or any other. With windows that open out onto a stream and outdoor picnic table seating that feels totally organic for a Malibu, this is the ideal spot to pass a Sunday, or any day, eating a lobster roll topped with Santa Barbara uni and caviar, and sipping natty wines."

Google
We tried the lobster rolls at Broad Street Oyster Company, and they were really enjoyable. The rolls had a generous amount of lobster, which was fresh and tender. The buttery flavor made it feel rich and satisfying, though it was a bit on the heavier side. Overall, the lobster rolls were a solid choice if you’re in the mood for something indulgent, though a bit pricey. Definitely worth trying if you’re craving seafood.

Google
Very disappointed to travel here from WA and see everything change over the years. Horrible environment and people. The Famous Lobster rolls are not the same anymore. Avoid coming here to spend $45 on a lobster roll. There is noting famous or delicious about this place!

Chris Dare

Google
I wouldn’t feed my dog this. Got the $30 seafood platter and bought my girlfriend the shrimp scampi — you’ll get better fried seafood from the red lobster in oxnard, and better pasta from presto pasta on upper state. Their coleslaw tastes like they slipped a 5th grader $20 to take a best guess at what cabbage, mayonnaise and sugar should resemble. The geneva convention prevents you from serving their calamari to prisoners of war

Google
Lobster rolls with warm butter and chips with caviar and cream! Pricey, but totally worth it for how yummy it is. Cant wait to visit again.

Google
I had the lobster roll and it wad good, but the lobster was not as tender as I had hoped. Also, I should note that originally I thought the roll was cheaper than other seafood redtaurants' in the area but it comes a la carte so add another $6 or so for fries or a side.

Google
Cool atmosphere, but the service here is terrible (for drinks). Food service was solid, but the rest left a lot to be desired. We got shrimp cocktail which was 25$ for 5 mid shrimp. Lobster roll was dry. The only thing that this place is good for is the fry sauce… fry sauce was 10/10. Overall, would not recommend

Ivan Corona

Google
I had the fried calamari and the cold lobster roll. Both under delivered. The calamari were so overcooked. It was like eating rubber bands. No seasoning at all. The lobster roll lacked flavor. Barely any mayonnaise and again no salt, no real flavor. Truly disappointed to have almost spent $60 on two lack luster items.

Google
Popular seafood chain that lives up to its reputation as arguably the best lobster roll. If you like your lobster roll served as a whole claw with just butter and a toasted bun aka Connecticut style, then this is ome of the best places to have it. We did try the urchin but the size was a bit umderwhelming. But all in all the lobster roll made up for it. The resto shares the long and large dining patio space with a counter bar which serves the the right combo for any dish you order. The service is fast and helpful. The dining area is a mix of various tropical styles and is wide enough to take on large diners. A great place for small parties and grouos of any size.

Yelp
While the price point is high, it's worth experiencing the amazing seafood, specifically the lobster rolls! I preferred the warm one, which had the perfect amount of butter, but the chilled one hit the spot as well. The atmosphere is nice, and they have a great patio area if your there on a sunny day. Absolutely worth a try!!

Yelp
Warm lobstah rolls with buttah.... Yummmmm! Came here to broad street when it was just a pop up in the funk zone... then when it first open a brick and mortar (unfinished in the back section) and now came back with the back patio completed... such a great place for food and hanging out with peeps. Can't go wrong with the friendly service and great food. The clam chowdah is so meaty and filled with bacon bits.

Yelp
my girlfriend and i came here from out of town and really enjoyed it! we each got a warm lobster roll, and fries and a caesar salad to share. it was my girlfriends first time trying a lobster roll and it was solid! plenty of claw meat, toasted buttery roll, and not as pricey as some others ive had. our fries were also super good! they seemed to be beer battered as they had the crusty crunchy outside, and the old bay aioli was great! i did have to knock off a star for the caesar salad. the lettuce was not cut or chopped (they were full leaves!) layered in a lasagna manner? the dressing was okay, although i wish there was more. same sentiment for the parmesan. it also came with anchovies on top which wasn't for me (its listed on the menu, so that has nothing to do with my rating! i just wanted to mention it). and there were no croutons or breadcrumbs. it truly was the strangest caesar salad i've ever had! not horrible, but i wouldn't get it again. we will be back for the lobster roll and fries though!

Yelp
Broad Street shares a space with Casa Agria and Shaker Mill in downtown Santa Barbara, which gives a great opportunity to try out some local beers, ciders and cocktails. The employees at Broad Street were super nice. We ordered a lobster roll warmed with butter, a bowl of clam chowder, half a dozen oysters (from Massachusetts, according to the cashier), and fish tacos for our kid. The lobster roll was heavenly, they found the perfect balance of butter to slather on the lobster, and with a hit of the lemon was so good! If only it were a little bigger (or if I had ordered my own instead of splitting with someone else). The clam chowder was probably my favorite. Looking closely at it, you could see that every potato, carrot, and celery stalk was painstakingly diced, and these tiny pieces still kept their texture AND crispness. This is a pretty filled chowder! There were a lot of clams in it and a dash of hot sauce kicked it up a notch. The oysters weren't my favorite, but the mignonette was pretty good and the oysters themselves were fresh and bright. For the fish tacos, I asked for the spicy crema on the side because our kid was going to eat it. The tacos came with the crema drizzled on, so it was a bit too spicy for him. I tried the tacos as well and I found them to be a touch greasy. The crema was good though! Definitely would recommend their clam chowder on a rainy day or their lobster roll!

Yelp
The set up of the group of restaurants was confusing. It was not clear there were two bars and this restaurant. Once we figured it out, we ordered a lobster roll with butter and the burger. The lobster roll was super tasty, would have loved more butter. The fries served with the burger were fantastic and the aioli served with them was bomb! The guy at the window was quick and efficient.

Yelp
Google told us they were closed for July 4th, but thankfully we were in the area and checked anyways. This place is very laid back. You can have dogs in the restaurant, and can sit wherever you want. Order at the counter, the buzzer will tell you when your food is ready to pick up. We got a dozen oysters which were so clean and delicious. The fish and chips were lightly breaded but I wish it came with lemon instead of just having some lemon zest on top. Also wish it was a tad crispier, as the bottom was really soggy. We got a grilled cheese for our son, who refused it and only ate some fries (go figure). My husband said the sandwich was really greasy. Our friends got the soft shell crab sando, said the bun wasn't very good and super messy, which I'm kind of like, duh. Otherwise it's a decent enough spot if you're in the area doing the tourist thing.

Yelp
Really good lobster roll, the texture is perfect. They put in the whole claw instead of cutting it up and it makes the bite into it much more satisfying. We got 2 warm butter lobster rolls, adding uni for 1 and adding extra lobster meat for the other. Adding the uni is definitely more worth it. The uni adds an extra layer of freshness. The extra meat was an extra claw, I would've thought there'd be 2 extra claw meats. The rolls were roasted perfectly and went really well with the meaty lobster claws. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. There's this little arcade area too. Dogs are allowed. A couple public parking lots within a few blocks. First 75min free then $2 or $3 per hour. They had pretty cute nightmare before Christmas decorations up right now.

Yelp
Everything about broadstreet Oyster Company is awesome! The ambiance is cool, casual and unique. NOW THE FOOD IS THE STAR. Their signature lobster roll is heaven in a bun. Whether warm with butter or cold its the star of the showNot to mention their fries and seasoned mayo sauce are addicting! Cant wait to go back!

Yelp
I had a hard time finding this place; they are hidden at shake me...they have a kitchen and you can go up to order your food. I ordered a lobster roll and a fish and chips...I at first wanted to add uni on my roll but they said they didn't have uni. Anyways the food same fast...size was small and very overpriced...the lobster roll was decent with good amount of lobster meat, but nothing special that costs 25 dollars. The fish and chips was just ok, I got better at California seafood grill with more fish. I saw other costumers sent back their chowder to the kitchen... It's a littler disappointed bc they got good reviews on Yelp.

Yelp
It's an interesting location, because it feels smaller than it is. The folks working there were friendly, patient, and efficient. From time of order to when my food was ready was maybe 5-10 minutes. The food was on point. Ordered two lobster rolls warm and buttered, and chicken and fries (for the toddler). The lobster rolls were as I always remembered them. Fair with the lobster and everything melted as I took a bite. The chicken strips were perfectly fried. Nice and juicy. The fries had a good crisp and fluffy inside. Not what most people would order from a lobster rolls stand, but they did a great job with it regardless.

Yelp
We definitely enjoyed our time here at broad street. It's nice they are next to a bar so we had a group that ate and drank here between both the resturant and bar. I love the lobster roll but tried the burger and was pleasantly impressed. Love it here and will be back!

Wyatt S.

Yelp
Lobster was amazing, service was amazing. The ambiance is also fantastic, cant say enough good things about our experience

Yelp
Cool vibe, and a great place to grab a bite. I loved the lobster roll, it was extra buttery. Kind employees as well.

Yelp
My recent trip to Broadstreet Oyster Company left a lot to be desired. While the food looked nice, it didn't taste great. The lobster roll was really dry, making it hard to eat without constantly reaching for water. My wife's cheeseburger was way too salty, so she couldn't finish it. The fries were good, though. Sadly, even the coleslaw was dry. To make matters worse, the drinks we had gave us both terrible headaches later on. Next time, I might ask for extra sauces to help with the dry food. Overall, it wasn't a good experience, and I'd only give it 2.5 stars if I could.

Yelp
While enjoying seafood at Stearn's Wharf is a classic move, Broad Street Oyster Company has a formidable menu on State Street. The spot is a whimsical mix of green plants, surf decor, and loads of pineapples. Lobster Roll: This is a really good lobster roll - small but mighty. The firm warm chunks of lobster are topped simply with butter and flecks of sea salt. The sweet, briny lobster flavor really shines through. The buttery brioche bun is crispy and chewy. If you're looking to splurge, you can add uni and caviar. Strange Mussels: The plump and juicy mussels are in a white wine sauce with lots of butter and garlic. The sourdough toast strips are really crunchy, which is perfect for sopping up the broth. Ordering: There's a pile of menus on the counter so you can figure out what you're getting. When the food is ready, your buzzer will go off so you can pick up your order. We were here on a slow day, so they felt like bringing everything to the table. We were definitely well taken care of by the excellent team here. Dining area: The dining room is huge with plenty of tables and comfortable seats. There is a small patio area in the front by the bar.

Yelp
Heaven! Must try if you are close by!! Heaven! Must try if you are close by!! Ok, repeat with me a third times:)

Yelp
Honestly, Broad Street Oyster Company was such a disappointment. The only good things were how cute it looked with the Nightmare Before Christmas decorations and the MANGO LASSI drinks. Those were delicious and probably the only thing I'd recommend from this place. The food, though? Terrible. The fish and chips were gross--the fish had no flavor and just tasted off. And the lobster roll, which they're known for? Total waste of $50. We got both the hot and cold ones, and neither was edible. We ended up leaving and getting tacos instead, which turned out to be the best decision of the night. If you're thinking about going here, skip the food unless you want to risk food poisoning. The drinks, on the other hand, are worth it. 2/10.

Yelp
Went out for some late night food and found broad street oysters! They had warm/cold lobster rolls which were okay, the lobster was not as warm but the sauce that comes with it is very good. Shrimps are pretty big. Overall, it is a bit pricey. Service is good, you order at the window and the bar is separate. Atmosphere is very nice and has a nice open space. Wouldn't say it's the best but their mango lassi cocktail is a MUST!!
google avatar

Yevheniia V.

Yelp
If you're seafood lover, this place is a must-visit! The oysters and sea urchins were amazing! The attention to quality and freshness really makes a difference.
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
The lobster roll was really good, but a side of butter and extra hot lobster would've only made the roll taste that much better. The clam chowder was pretty good, but more clams would've also taken it over the top. We sat at the adjoining bar for drinks which helps amp up the experience. The service was quick and the ambiance was laid back and easy going.
google avatar

Cindy E.

Yelp
The lobster roll was a 4/5 taste wise. I'm a small girl but can eat so the lobster roll was definitely an appetizer for me. Most pricey appetizer! We also got the sea urchin which was interesting! We definitely paid for the experience of trying this place vs paying for a meal to get full.

Yelp
We found Broad Street Oyster Company spontaneously while we were walking around in Santa Barbara. Once you enter the restaurant,  you will enjoy this pirate oceany themed decor. You can see anchors, fishing nets, boats, a rusty treasure chest, and the black flag with skull-and-cross bones. The wall is decorated with large vibrant colored tropical leaves. I really liked the harmony between blue, green, and yellow colors everywhere in the restaurant. The employees were very attentive and friendly. We ordered their famous lobster roll and the sea urchin. The food was top notch and very fresh. The lobster roll was the best that I have eaten. The roll is soft and had a good quantity of lobster. There is an explosion of flavor in your mouth with every bite of the roll. The sea urchin was also delicious and fresh. The prices were around the same as, if not slightly cheaper than, other seafood places in Santa Barbara. I am really glad I found Broad Street Oyster Company. They have excellent quality and service and I will definitely visit them again the next time I am in Santa Barbara.

Yelp
I should have a location punch card lol. I've been to their flagship Malibu location, smorgasburg and finally this location. And it's probably my favorite of the three. The indoor + comfortable seats? Count me in. They kept the order up and sit concept, which I love. You can buy adult drinks from neighboring Shaker Mill which will be another review ;D The quality of the lobster roll is same. That fresh seafoody, briney with a hint of natural sweetness. The fries were CHONKY and crispy, loved the aioli dipping situation they had too. Oh and bathrooms were clean and lots of free public parking spots all around with first 75mins free ayeeeyooo
google avatar

Kassie C.

Yelp
Their oysters are fresh, I prefer them over the oysters at Drunken Crab which is right next door. Their lobster roll is also yummy. I wish it was a bit more buttery but still good. Service is good, but there was one female waitress or maybe bartender? (Dark hair) was rude. Everyone else has been super nice.
google avatar

Tiffany M.

Yelp
Yummy food but pretty pricey. Lobster rolls are tiny so I probably wouldn't come back for it

Paulina M.

Yelp
The bottom of my lobster roll was burnt and tasted charred. I could see that others around me had the same issue. Bar tender was not even busy and chose to take so long to acknowledge me. The Malibu location is way better.
google avatar

Tracy C.

Yelp
The restaurant is located in a small outdoor bar/food court. You go up to the food stand to order, find a table to sit, and they'll bring the food out to you. I went with a group of 9 after a college graduation at around 2pm. There was no wait to order and it was very easy to find a table to sit. We ordered a bunch of lobster rolls, oysters, uni, uni pasta, clam chowder, and crab sandwich. Unfortunately they ran out of the uni pasta, we ordered and paid for three, but they only had two left. They did give us another lobster roll to replace it (not sure if it was an even adjustment. The food size was very small like most of the reviews say and price is very expensive. We were still a little hungry afterwards. We all loved the uni and oysters, it was very fresh and delicious.
google avatar

Ania K.

Yelp
Succulent lobster rolls that will leave you wanting more! Love lobster as much as I do? How about live sea urchin or oysters? This place has all the seafood lovers faves. From their caviar service, seafood towers, stone crab claws, fish tacos, calamari, clam chowder, and much more! Years ago I was walking to the beach when I noticed a random guy under a tent with tons of uni on ice. They were a pop up then also selling oysters and lobster rolls. He sampled everything for me and I left to the beach with my uni and roll. Loved everything and the uni was even caught that morning by local fisherman. Now they have a gorgeous restaurant with a bar and cozy patio. If you love seafood and find yourself in Santa Barbara this should be at the top of your list.

S P.

Yelp
My hopes were high and damn was I let down. First they were "out of uni". Yet they still had uni pasta OR they could add uni to any dish. We ordered the pasta as it was recommended by 2 of the staff members. Oh my god do we regret it. Awful. Dreadful. Not fresh uni and not tasty at all. Literally tasted like the powder cheese from Kraft Mac & cheese, but just the powder, not the creamy cheesy goodness, like the nasty plastic tasting orange powder. The fish and chips were okay but cold and the fries def had been sitting there for too long. Disappointed cause I really wanted to love this place but sadly I won't waste my time to come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Wanted to love this place..... But it was meh. Warm lobster roll-lack flavor. Bread wasnt soft and buttery. Fried shrimp and fries- good but ridiculously priced. 4 shrimps and fries for 23$ Clam chowder- OK. Not super creamy. Tons of small potatoe and onion cuts... A bit too much. Lots of clams. Overall it was OK. Don't think I would come back at this price.

Ryan M.

Yelp
The fried shrimp was nasty and still had the digestive vein in the back. Be careful as they don't give you your receipt either.
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
(Hot Butter Lobster Roll and Fries: 77.5% | C) - The lobster roll here tastes good but I think is missing some elevation compared to other places around the area. I think an additional $5 for fries felt expensive in addition to the existing price hike on this lobster roll, when the fries are not in any way elevated to make it more interesting, perhaps with an uplifting sauce. (Cold Mayo Lobster Roll: 87.5% | B) - I think the flavor here is better than the hot version and there is also chunkier lobster meat. Again, this is on the pricey side for a pay-at-the-counter version of a lobster roll and would've liked to see it elevated at this price. (Overall: 85% | B) - Overall, the service is pretty reasonable and the interior has an interesting design. The food is a bit pricey but otherwise nicely content meal.

Yelp
Great service! I got the lobster roll warmed up and added uni.. my eyes rolled backwards it was so good. Loved the decor, very cool

Jazlene T.

Yelp
I anticipated to try this place for a long time and I'm glad to say I finally did. They specialize in seafood and are a SB staple. They have various options for seafood lovers and can be pricy but I'd say the portions make it worth it. Each oyster tray came with lemon, ginger/garlic, and butter. It was such an awesome combination and served so fresh. Mini tobasco bottles were given with the rolls and more slices of lemons. Fries included spicy mayo sauce and ketchup. My favorite was the spicy mayo, the condiments were perfect additions. Inside featured a lot of sitting areas including a bar and it was a cozy environment with cool design. They have self serve water inside the place & come to bring your food wherever you're sitting. I enjoyed the service as the workers were pretty friendly. Lobster roll - big portions, 9/10 Oysters - 7/10 Fries - 8/10 with the sauce!
google avatar

Carri S.

Yelp
We love it here, best lobster rolls ever. You guys should put signs up when it's rented for private events though at the front of the pier. It's a long sad walk back without a lobster roll ;)
google avatar

Dana T.

Yelp
I will never understand their ordering system even after getting it explained multiple times by different staff. Why is it so confusing?! The gist is the back side is the restaurant and the front side is a separate cocktail bar. Cocktail bar patrons can enjoy food from Broad Street if they'd like. I think that's the easiest way to explain it and I ultimately had to figure it out for my own afterwards. Food was pretty good. We got lobster rolls, fried clams, french fries, and the uni spaghetti. Lobster rolls were a bit smaller than I thought they'd be, so more of a light bite. The fried clams and french fries were deliciously crunchy especially after dunking them in tartar. Uni spaghetti was hearty, but keep in mind it's uni butter and you don't see giant uni chunks. Still on the hunt for that in SB. Overall it's a cute place, definitely get Baywatch vibes from the decor. 3.5 all in all, but I think there's definitely better seafood joints around.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner while visiting Santa Barbara for my girlfriend's birthday, it did not disappoint! Ordered the oysters, shrimp cocktail and fish & chips, everything was delicious. I could have downed a dozen oysters to myself, and those shrimp were seriously THICC. I also loved the house made cocktail sauce, which I also dipped the fish in (I'm a sauce boi). The Old Bay seasoning on the chips was a great touch, and the fish was seriously flakey with a crispy batter. I like the fact that Broad Street is connected to Shaker Mill, we had a couple of mocktails that paired nicely with our meal. I think we messed up by not ordering the lobster roll, uni spaghetti, and clam chowder but I guess we'll just have to come back to sample the rest of the menu (I'm weirdly attracted to ordering the burger at a seafood joint)! It was our first time at Broad Street, even though they have a couple locations in LA, but would love to come back and visit the next time we're in SB!

Yelp
One of the few places close to the beach that still had uni. Quickly seated and plenty of space to sit. Food was good for what it was, but I still left hungry. Lobster roll was nice and buttery with good flavor, wish it came with fries or something on the side. Definitely a good hangout spot for locals as well as tourist looking for a bar. Overall would come back if I had no other options. I'm just used to leaving full without having to pay more than my usual budget of $35 for my meal .

Ana-marie L.

Yelp
It was my first time here with my daughter. We got the Soft Shell Crab Sando, Caviar Snack, Shrimp with fries and a dozen Oysters. The food was really good. I enjoyed the Soft Shell Crab Sando it wasn't too heavy like other places I've been to. My daughter enjoyed the oysters. We will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
this place always has the freshest oysters. always fresh, never fishy! i've been to malibu and santa barbara locations and it's been a 10/10 experience every time.

Yelp
Came for a very late night dinner and hoping to get some lobster rolls and a bowl of clam chowder but was sadly told that they were only selling their late night menu (did not include clam chowder). Still, we purchased a lobster roll to try the place out! For $30, the lobster roll was small and to be completely honest, the taste was average as well. I have yet to accomplish a memorable lobster roll - onto the next!

Brittany M.

Yelp
Lobster roll was out of this world. Sea urchin was the most unique thing we've eaten. Absolutely recommend stopping for a bite to eat and grabbing a drink at the bar! Great food. Great ambiance!
google avatar

Sonia O.

Yelp
Food was amazing good quality only reason I don't give it 5 stars it's because the portions should be a bit more for what you pay for, overall it's delicious can't complain about the taste. Service was pretty good, staff was helpful. The ambiance was very laid back & comfy, only issue was some of the tables were wobbling, restrooms are clean. The place is pretty big so you feel relaxed will definitely recommend to try at least once & come back! Thank you

Yelp
Loved the lobster rolls! I got a few with friends for take out, they were not messy and there was a lot of lobster in each roll.

Yelp
We had lunch at Broad Street Oyster Company in Santa Barbara when we were visiting for a day last week. We had to try the live sea urchin and we also shared a Caesar (to which we added lobster) and fish and chips. The food was good overall. I also appreciated their wine list while my husband appreciated their beer list. The service was good (it's an order at the counter place, but they were very friendly and helpful!). It had a cool vibe but was quite empty at lunch on a Monday (a few people trickled in as we were finishing up our meal). I enjoyed their outside seating. Overall, it was a fun meal!

Pretty disappointed. $20 for the fish tacos that were maybe half an oz of fish each and covered in batter. They were in doughy kinda store bought flour tortillas that got mushy in the cole slaw juice. All in all with the chips can't be worth that much. I had to eat elsewhere after bc I was still hungry. Fish and chips also very pricey at $23 for one piece of fish. Fries were good. 2 stars for nice employees. I went to public market and got a fish taco there for about $6.50 in a homemade corn tortilla. Delicious. There's nothing I hate more than when people take advantage of charging me but leave out all the protein.

Yelp
Our group stopped here for dinner before fireworks over the July 4th weekend. It's located in the back of the Shaker Mill bar with open seating everywhere. You order at the register and sit anywhere you want inside or outside patio. They also have a variety of beers on tap that you can order at the bar counter. If you want cocktails go to the front Shaker Mill to order. We got: Santa Barbara Sea Urchin: It's one whole uni cut in half served on a bed of ice. The uni is very fresh but has a very strong ocean taste. You may want to rinse it with some fresh water to cut the "ocean" taste if you don't like it. Overall delicious with about 3-4 slivers of uni per shell. Yes it's pricey but you can taste the freshness. Fish and chips: This is literally one piece of fried fish with a handful of fries. This entrée felt a real rip off for the $21 price. If this is all you're eating you maybe hungry still too. Yeah the fish was very flakey and crispy with a great tarter sauce. But most other place ever had at least 2 whole pieces unless this is some Gordon Ramsey fish place. Lobster Roll: This was pretty standard. You have your buttered roll filled with lobster. They lobster was cooked well without being chewy/rubbery. Again the price of $25 felt high for the portion size so you probably won't be full if you just ate this. Half Dozen oysters: These looked like Emerald Cove oysters by the color and size. They aren't marked on the menu since its just chef's selection. The oysters were super fresh. It comes served on a bed of ice with a vinegar herb sauce, dab of fresh horseradish and 2 lemon slices. No it does not come with cocktail sauce and no they do not have tabasco sauce. Soft Shell Crab Sando: This dish was our groups favorite. It comes with a handful of fries. It's a soft shell crab fried served with slaw, fresno Chile aioli on brioche bun. Note this slaw in this sandwich is SUPER wet so drips everywhere. The flavors are tasty with the crispy crab and mild fresno aioli with the creaminess of the mayo from the slaw. But this is super messy to eat even with a fork. Again $29 for this entree felt steep but at least you're full if this is all you get. Overall this is a casual place and no wait kind of dining experience. Not much service since everything is self serve and yeah you pay tourist prices here.

Yelp
It looked promising based on the reviews, photos, and even on social media! But it ended up being a very underwhelming experience... Lobster roll lacked flavor? I feel like they forgot to season it with any butter or salt or anything. It was extremely bland for something that was so expensive ($25). Adding the uni did give it a sweeter taste, but with only two small pieces of uni for $14 extra... not worth it. Having the chips did give the plate flavor, but it was over seasoned with some of the chips being extremely salty. Maybe the focus should be seasoning the roll and not the potatoes. Clam Chowder ($13) was just ok. Not bad, but nothing groundbreaking either. At least it was properly seasoned but honestly not asking for much here. Sadly, this $60 meal was extremely not worth it. I will say the highlights were the friendly service and the welcoming, semi-quiet space and patio that made it pretty nice to hang out here. There's also a parking lot about 3 min walk away that gives free parking for more than an hour. Hopefully this was just a one-off experience and that everyone else's food tasted better.

Yelp
I would give 5 stars for the food, but the tipping on the register should be taken away, cost of food has gone that I understand but to leave a tip on food that you need to bring to your table is ridiculous, if I knew this was self service I wouldn't have left a $40 tip.
