Broadfork Cafe Review - University District - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The food at Broadfork Cafe is all vegan, but nobody’s rubbing it in your face or anything. It’s just a tasty menu of breakfast and lunch things that happen to be made of plant parts. Grab a smoothie to-go or take a seat in the natural light and have an artichoke melt for a quick lunch." - Aimee Rizzo

3 Places to Try in Seattle This Weekend - Eater Seattle

"Where the U District’s beloved Chaco Canyon Cafe once stood is now Broadfork, and which does a great job filling Chaco Canyon’s big shoes. Local producers feature heavily on the healthy but satisfying vegan menu of soups, grain bowls, sandwiches, salads, juices, and smoothies. I’m not usually one to fleefully eat a pile of vegetables, but Broadfork’s tempeh peanut bowl, which involves a very good peanut sauce, really did it for me." - Megan Hill

It was going so well until it went so bad. I got the Veggie Kick Burrito 🌯. Great portion size, nice and warm. I was enjoying myself until I got to the middle of my burrito and saw a looong strand of hair entwined in the rice. It definitely turned off my appetite. 😞 It may be a good idea for management to implement hair nets to prevent this from happening to a hungry customer in the future.

Food was great, but we came at an odd time with no customers and the whole place was so empty and quiet so I do wish there was background music or something. HOWEVER, the artichoke melt was truly mindblowing. Super crispy toasted bread and an addictive savory filling that was made in vegan heaven. The veggie protein bowls are satisfying and filling too - but I'm sad this particular location doesn't carry tempeh despite it being on their menu and don't seem to have juices anymore!

Super tasty and wholesome vegan food. They were out of a lot of ingredients, but they were still able to make me this awesome veggie bowl (very generous portion size!) with broccoli cheese soup.

Had a very hearty breakfast here. Soup was served with a generous portion of quinoa, and the veggie bowl was delicious. They open at 7am so it’s perfect for early risers. Pancakes and waffles are only served on weekends though.

The veggie cheeseburger had an amazing flavor. Moist texture and the bun was so good and soft too. The African peanut soup was also Wonderful. Highly recommend this place!

Totally stoke to find this place, and I'm not even vegan! Totally worth the $15 for a healthy and filling lunch, not to mention soooooo delicious! My Artichoke Melt was the bomb! Comes with soup or salad. Will definitely be coming back as often as I can.

Great food, great people. Artichoke melt is so good! Hippie atmosphere includes finding tables that haven't been cleaned for a while. The baked goods are incredible!

Delicious food and friendly staff. As a person fairly newish to vegan food, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the food immensely, the pickled onions were amazing.
