The 13 Best Restaurants At LaGuardia Airport 2024

"You can grab Brooklyn Diner’s iconic pastrami sandwiches and burgers at their LGA outpost, which has a large seating area conveniently located in one of Terminal B’s skyways that overlook the tarmac. Wait out a delay and start the vacation read you need to finish before it inevitably becomes an Apple+ series at one of the comfy booths. Google
Somehow Brooklyn Diner doesn't display menus prices on their menu board which is required in NYC (Maybe LGA has an exemption, not sure). I suspect the reason is the prices would turn away folks from entering the diner. With that being said the food was very very good. The pancakes come with strawberries, blueberries, whipped cream, butter packs and syrup. The syrup was a bit different (not sure what brand they use). The staff is super friendly (one girl said good morning to over 100 people walking by) and the food came out quickly. Very clean has multiple TVs for viewing and charging outlets at all booths. They really need to be upfront with their prices however, while writing this I've personally witnessed several patrons walk out once they scanned the barcode on the table and realize the prices. Overall positive experience, multi-lingual staff.

Google
Stopped in Friday evening. Before ordering i asked why the prices were so high and the server guaranteed me that the food would be worth the price....well it wasn't. And for a while she left the restaurant and the other 2 that were working didn't pay any attention to anyone including the manager. I think the picture of my Turkey Club speaks for itself. I frequent LGA and will not be back here until changes are made!

Google
The Chili was small and ok. Not the greatest. The staff was great. That's the only reason I gave it 3 stars. $19 for a small bowl of Chili is ridiculous. Plenty of seating and my booth had an outlet so that I could charge my phone.

Google
Exactly what you expect out of good dinner food. The price is a bit expensive but it is exactly in line with airport pricing. The only warning to give is that food takes a while. Had a great server, Homayra, who was bubbly and friendly

Google
I’d have to say JB is one of the best servers Brooklyn Diner. He’s friendly, attentive, and makes sure every guest feels welcome. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing a drink, he provides great service with a positive attitude. What sets JB apart is his responsiveness and attention to detail. He knows when to check in, remembers customer preferences, and ensures everything runs smoothly. He’s always there when you need him without being intrusive. Overall, JB is professional, efficient, and genuinely cares about the guest experience. If you have the chance to be served by him, you can expect great service and a pleasant dining experience. And I’m saying this from my past experiences, I frequent NYC/Houston and this is my go-to breakfast/lunch spot

Google
Jessica was so awesome!! I had the yogurt breakfast that was delicious and she kept the coffee flowing. I came to read and eat and did just that! Jessica was so sweet and able to gauge exactly what I need and when. Will be coming back to see her next time I am here. Thank you so much!!

Google
The food was good but the waitress was amazing. Was had to be one of the nicest people I have ever met. Is it overpriced? Yes, but that's the norm in airports. $25 + tax and tip for a club sandwich.

Google
This restaurant is huge with many seatings but not many customers. I also read quite some negative reviews beforehand. However we needed a place near our boarding gate to sit down comfortably and have dinner before our flight. Our waiter was attentive and suggested me the quinoa salad with salmon when I was going to order the salmon dinner plate. We also ordered the cheese sandwich. Both dishes were decent, fresh made and tasty. Our waiter also was checking the kitchen to get our food out quicker when we told him our boarding time. Comparing with those who had bad experiences here, did we just get lucky and show up at the right time and get the right waiter? At the end, we had a nice dinner in a quiet restaurant in a very busy airport before boarding and the bill was reasonable for the airport restaurant.

Yelp
The food was awesome and the drinks were amazing. Even though we had to wait a bit - we did not mind as the Farmingdale village has so much to offer that we walked around a bit on this nice nice day till our table was ready. The service was exceptional and friendly.

Yelp
What a bad choice! A Bagel Tower by definition is a bagel sliced in four and stacked. Eli Zabar 1982. Poor execution stale bagel unripe tomato in Effen July. Disappointing!
google avatar

Robert R.

Yelp
Made the cardinal sin of not looking at yelp before we grabbed a bite. They don't post prices so probably the first clue it was going to be expensive. You have to use an app to order and it's picky about payment type in Apple Pay. It's also exceptionally slow. Still now food after 25 minutes and it's not that busy.
google avatar

Yelp
In the terminal going early to our gate, I passed up an $18 burger at Junior's, only to have a $24 burger here! Yes it's the airport but it's only a burger! A fountain drink was $5. At least the burger came with fries (and a pickle) and it was a big patty. Tasted fine, so no complaints there. Love the online ordering and paying so you don't have to wait for service. Order/pay, eat, get up and go.

Yelp
I can honestly say I'm not quite sure why the reviews here aren't great. My experience was wonderful. Pricey for casual food? Yes. But this is an airport. In New York City. So I would expect nothing less. Had the food been marginal, this review would read differently. But it was excellent! Juicy burger with crisp bacon. Flavorful tacos. Fresh guacamole and chips. And hot fries. No complaints here! And our sever was friendly and accommodating, hustling to make sure we got our food promptly. He also kept our drinks filled. This is often my gate area in LaG. I will happily return.

Alan B.

Yelp
The wait staff was courteous but we waited 30 minutes for our food order and it tasted like it had been under the heat lamps for at least 20 minutes

Yelp
The Brooklyn diner begs the question, why can't airport food be served as good as a stand-alone restaurant? I would say three strikes here. Attitude of the people that are seating you and waiting on you. Length of time it takes to get served even though there are very few people in the restaurant and food quality that is subpar. I was so hoping for a good old-fashioned rocking diner. Will find a different place to eat in LaGuardia because this airport is gorgeous there's gotta be good food here some place.

Yelp
Well I was flying back to Chicago from New York LaGuardia airport ; had some time to waste & I was hungry. I decided to stop and have a nice sit down breakfast so I stopped at the Brooklyn Diner before heading to my gate. I ordered a $4 dollar tiny tiny coffee and a vegetable omelette. The omelette came with potatoes/onions/green & red peppers with Texas toast. I had taken only a bite or two of the omelette when I noticed an eye lash on my plate . I asked my server to take a look and at first she said " No I think it's a little piece of dust. So in my mind; I'm like that's unacceptable as well. However, she was very sweet about it; asked if I wanted them to prepare me a fresh omelette or just have the manager to remove it from my credit card. I chose the latter. I should have taken a few more bites before I called the server over but I was not thinking. Needless to say, I curved my appetite with some good $4 dollar tiny coffee. Overall experience was 4 stars. The diner was spacious, well lit and staff was very friendly and accommodating

Yelp
Super over priced and super over cooked. Way better option in the airport. We got the pastrami, no good.

Yelp
There's a very good reason why this place has such terrible reviews and it's the staff here. I ordered a burger and salad and they got it all wrong, and then, the staff just ignored my requests to fix it! You can clearly tell the staff just don't care here. I asked for my salad to have dressing in the side, it was wrong, and two staff never fixed it after I talked to both of them. They said they would correct it, but after 15 minutes of waiting, I gave up. The girl serving the food with the tattoo sleeve was the worst. I spoke to the manager, Jasmine, and she certainly has she has her challenges with the staff. I would hope that after a couple of warnings, she fires them and gets people who are legit and efficient. It's not right how they just ignore customers.

Yelp
Travel always has its surprises along the way, and the trek from JFK Airport to Laguardia left us a bit parched and hungry especially having to navigate the customs check points and TSA agents to get on the other side to our gate. Being from NY and hungry it was great to see this eatery, so the wife ordered the cheese burger and I ordered the Reuben expecting a taste of home diner food once again before our flight back to Virginia. But our server full of personality but lacking basic fundamental attentive skills was baffling kinda of a oxy moron outgoing yet transparent. This was a Epic fail the French fries were unsalted the bread for the Reuben was over toasted and burnt we had to ask for water numerous times my dreams for good diner food has been sealing in the past archives of my mind this was a Epic Fail

Chris G.

Yelp
Service was terrible. Food came out separately. Server told us the food was ready, but they didn't trust that we'd actually paid. One of our meals was brought out and set down, then two minutes later, the server came back out and said she wasn't supposed to give us that, so she voided the payment and took the food back. And then they wouldn't let us leave after we'd already paid and they said they made multiple mistakes and we owed them more. They finally let us leave after we threatened to get the police involved.
google avatar

Yelp
Popped into this location On my way to gate 58 naturally it's over price you're at the airport! The food was decent. The English muffin came out toasted but dry for $26.99 butter jelly anything would've been greatly appreciated. Service however, is very good. go like most places, they appear to be understaffed- And for that reason, that's why they have that rating - they do provide pretty decent ambience and it makes you feel as if you kind of are in a diner. So it's a pretty good feel to it.

Yelp
I stopped here on a Friday morning while waiting for my other person's flight to arrive. The waiter was very nice and attentive. I got the pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon. First off, the portions are huge, which I guess is why the prices were much higher than I'm used to in the south. I did not finish all the food because of the large portions. The pancakes were absolutely delicious and I didn't even need the jam or syrup. I did end up using syrup just to add a bit more sweetness and flavor to it though. So good! The eggs needed salt and pepper but otherwise they were fine. The bacon was excellent. No complaints there at all. If you're in LGA Terminal B and you want a great breakfast, you must stop here.

Yelp
Yeah it's expensive but it's in an airport. Food was ok, I had the chili cheese dog, which was massive. Service could have been better getting refills and checking in. We only seen ours 3 times once to take an order once when we flagged him down and once when he brought the bill.
google avatar

Pamela R.

Yelp
Food - 1 Dry, tough, cold chicken cutlet. Awful, old fries. Not a diner type food menu really either. Service - 3 Very slow but pleasant Ambiance - 2 What ambiance? I'll give it a 2 for what it is...a diner supposedly but has no diner qualities. Light, bright, cold with tables and no booths
google avatar

Dave H.

Yelp
1. My cheeseburger was good. 2. My fries were well past their prime, even though the place was busy. 3. The volume of the music actually masked announcements that accompanied some flashing lights and klaxons. No, really. And they didn't then turn down the music level so that the follow-up announcement was audible. Fortunately we didn't end up dying in a fire or something. Meh. Other places on concourse B to eat at.

Yelp
I wish I could give less than a one star. The main food court was very busy and we wanted to have nice sit down lunch while waiting for our flight to board. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BROOKLYN DINER. Their sign says a "Finer Diner." What a joke. Lots of empty tables but it look awhile to get someone to wait on us. My wife and I shared the $25 bacon cheeseburger and fries. (Wendy's in the food court combo WITH DRINK was $12). My iced tea was $3.5 + tax. I never could get a refill. My wife's Diet Pepsi was $4 + tax. She did get a refill but it took time. We were offered a 2nd plate as we were sharing but it never came. When we ordered we asked for a side of mayo and mustard. It took asking 4 people to get this after we received our order. The fries were not warm let alone hot and they were getting colder. The burger did taste good. No one ever checked in us. We left a $2 tip. I wanted to leave ZERO. Bad experience.

Yelp
The food is severely mediocre, but the ladies that work there are fabulous. The service was so great and that made it worth it. Also, the restaurant was clean and I was thankful for that.
google avatar

Denise S.

Yelp
I tried another restaurant at this airport that was more expensive and the food here was better. I ate at the bar and the server was very attentive. He had also had tables to wait on and was apologetic about the wait, but luckily I wasn't in a rush. I ordered the Citrus avocado salad. Would highly recommend adding a protein because the salad alone would be a bit underwhelming. It was fresh and had good taste. The dressing was not overpowering and had the right hint of citrus. The avocado slices were perfect. I added tuna salad and that made for a perfect lunch. Also ordered an iced tea. This will be my spot going forward when traveling out of this airport. They also had chargers available at the bar, which is always nice.

Yelp
Had 2 hours before my flight so 5 of us went to lunch at the Brooklyn Diner. The name doesn't match the restaurant although it does have the swivel chairs and counter like a diner. We sat in a booth. There are gold plates with famous people's names who sat at our table. Pretty cool. We all had burgers and fries. $19.00-24.00 each! I posted the receipt. They were good. Service was good as well. Not sure I will return .... Maybe if I win the lottery. Lol.

Yelp
Shocked! - Service was excellent! - Menu Variety was tremendous and overall food was great! - Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that we were actually at LaGuardia Airport? - Andrea enjoyed her salad and I really enjoyed the Hamburger. Seating was extremely "Diner Comfortable" - Prices were decent. Our Waiter was extremely kind and kept our drinks filled. Great experience! A+

Sophie D.

Yelp
Food is so overpriced with no flavor. Got the burger and fries, and no amount of salt could make the fries taste like anything. Very disappointed. My mom spit out her chicken sandwich.
google avatar

Suzanne E.

Yelp
Ok so this isn't a gourmet dining place so I didn't expect gourmet food or service. So a 1 star review that others were giving is pretty harsh. Didn't appear to be enough staff. My guess is the kitchen is understaffed because it took 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches to come out. The pastrami sandwich was really good with a lot of flavor. Fried chicken sandwich just so so. Lots of fries with both dishes. Prices were what you would expect with air port food. Over priced. Probably wouldn't come back again. Management needs to get kitchen working faster
google avatar

Roxy H.

Yelp
This was the worst airport food ever. The waitress is so sweet and busy though! A burger and a chicken sandwich with sodas was 70!! WTF??? Thinking the chicken sandwich would be good but boy was I wrong. The chicken had no flavor, no cheese, shredded lettuce, no tomato and SWEET pickles. It was awful. Don't eat here!

Tracy V.

Yelp
Omelettes are overcooked and all dried out. Toast is under toasted. Butter patties come with such cold butter you can't spread it on the toast.
google avatar

Rick C.

Yelp
What I liked: - clean and comfortable seating with power outlets by each booth - free Wi-Fi - portions were good sized (hot dog) and the hamburger was flavorful. What I did not like: - VERY EXPENSIVE
google avatar

Justin S.

Yelp
I really wanted to enjoy this "diner" but it missed the mark. It almost has the feel of a diner with the neon sign but that's about it. Everything else just has the feel of an overpriced airport restaurant. The burger was good but the service wasn't even there. I had to catch my flight and needed to go but could not find my waitress or any other server to just pay and leave. Not what I expect from an airport restaurant and I fly a lot for my job. I won't be returning.
google avatar

Tymeia T.

Yelp
I only had a beverage from this establishment. I was going to order food until I saw how much food was left on people's plates. It was all I needed to see. Also $25 for a hotdog with fries is beyond me. Shake shack has a hotdog for $5 it is smaller but you can get onions and peppers on it for free. I think this place needs a menu lift and a new chef. It's a diner and people are looking for dinner food

Jean D.

Yelp
Love the food & Service I always try to stop by & ask for Danny when traveling to LGA
google avatar

Dawn G.

Yelp
Service is horrible. People are not friendly. I requested a booth and hostess at first didn't want to seat me at a booth because she said they are for large crowds. Meanwhile, the place was completely empty. I'm sorry I decided to eat here Also the hostess while at the front was shoving something in her nose. So unsanitary. Surprisingly everyone stands around doing nothing while the only person actually helping anyone is the only male waiter.
google avatar

Alyssa G.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. I wish I had read reviews prior to eating here. I paid $27+ for a frozen patty, overcooked, with soggy french fries. There are no servers, just a QR code to scan that pulls up a mobile ordering service. I know I'm at the airport, but truly the quality for the price is not acceptable. Will only be getting Wendy's at this terminal from now on.

Aaron D.

Yelp
Service was great but prices are a joke. And they hide them until after you've sat down. I know, airport prices, but felt like a scam for avg Diner food.
google avatar

Bill M.

Yelp
I'd give them a negative star if possible. Service is horrible, you order from an app you pay for the app.. (not a big deal) there's no interaction with servers. Placed my order on their app waited for 15 minutes no servers would talk to me, finally a server walked by I asked for my coffee and got a cup, yippee!! When my breakfast was delivered I had no silverware, my orange juice wasn't with it or my bottle or my bottle of water, still waiting for that. After another 10 minutes and cold food I got up walked behind the counter and poured my own orange juice, finally I got the manager attention, she said sir you can't do that, please don't ever come behind the counter again!! I responded I thought this was a self serve joint since nobody talks to you and nobody serves you!!! I would never ever eat at this place again... Food was just OK This place is a joke!!!
google avatar

Jana E.

Yelp
The hotdog is 24.00 but it seriously enough to be two maybe even three hotdogs. The cheeseburger is really good. I was pleasantly surprised. They have Pepsi products. The service was pretty good. No complaints. The place wasn't overly crowded. We were able to sit in comfy seats and watch the Final Four.
google avatar

Gregory C.

Yelp
Well, you are at an airport, a New York City airport at that, so the prices are going to be STEEP. $20.50 (plus tax and tip) for three eggs, bacon, home fries, bagel and coffee. Wow.......

Mark P.

Yelp
Food is so dry and gross plus extremely overpriced for what it is. Highly do not recommend going here over all the other options. I sat there an hr with no service except the runner who fought with me.
google avatar

Grace Y.

Yelp
I honestly don't know what the complaints are about this place. Yes, the prices are a little high, but service is great, it's a comfy place to chill before a flight, and the food is actually good. I got a canned Margarita which was a LOT of drink and pretty strong and good. I also got the citrus avocado salad to go which was also really good.
google avatar

Shaji K.

Yelp
One of the many restaurant options in the newly revamped terminal at LGA. Wasn't the biggest fan of their Manhattan location, but this spot didn't have many people inside, so was able to quickly grab a table before our flight. While there are QR codes to order food, a waitress comes by to take orders anyway. Decided on the Quinoa Salad ($16) and a draft beer ($9ish). Salad is light, a lump of quinoa in the middle with some greens, nuts, citrus, and radish asking the sides. Pretty basic overall but was the only healthy thing on the menu. Fries/omelette looked a lot better if choosing between the two. Service started slow but picked up along the way. Pricey as expected yet fast enough to get to you too you're gate without a hold up

Megan D.

Yelp
My server was super nice and hustling, but that's where the good news for this place ends. Breakfast took forever even tho you order on an app, cost $37, and was super bland. No salt and pepper on the tables...

Kat N.

Yelp
Service was very helpful. Had to order everything through my phone. Sat in a comfortable booth. Decor is fun, "old fashioned diner", great music playing. The food was a bit expensive. Not a shocker in the airport.

Meg H.

Yelp
Fatima was wonderful and took care of my onion allergy, she even gave me sliced avocado on my burger! Thanks so much!
google avatar

Nevin H.

Yelp
This place should be closed!!!! We were sat right away and then waited 10 minutes for someone to greet us and ask for our orders. She then came back in 15 minutes with our 2 sodas and said that she'll be right back with straws. Our food came out 45 minutes later. We ordered a pastrami Reuben which I had to send back. When you bite into a sandwich, and close your teeth on its contents, you should not pull the sandwich away and have everything that you put into stay hanging in your teeth. The pastrami in the sandwich was complete and total garbage. When the manager came back, I even took a piece out and tried to pull it apart in front of her showing her the elasticity of the meat which was no different than a rubber band. The only thing positive about the sandwich were that the fries were hot. My wife ordered a BLT sandwich on challah bread. The bread was a ridiculously thick cut, which took up every part of the bite. The turkey was seriously a very, very cheap, deli style turkey. Because the turkey club was more edible than the pastrami. Reuben, we kept the turkey club and shared it. High was completely shocked that they had the audacity to charge $28 for my pastrami Reuben, which was horrible and $26 for a turkey club. Service was unbelievably terrible! Our food came, and we had to ask for napkins and silverware, nobody ever came back to ask us if we wanted a refill on our drink, and , it seems everybody around us was as frustrated with us as the kitchen was barely, putting out any food at all. If you cannot run a restaurant, then it should be closed. Maybe turn it into a counter style if you do not have enough help to provide at least minimal customer service to the people that are spending amounts of money on food that is worst then anything you can possibly get him a price range. After almost 1 hour I left completely miserable and feel like I was completely ripped off. If a company cannot provide a minimal positive experience, then they should not be in business. Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!! How DARE you charge the prices you do and provide HORRIBLE service and serve sub quality food. I had to leave 1 Star to leave a review or I wouldn't leave ANY. It was also incredibly frustrating that the staff that they did have on duty, were walking at a completely leisurely pace if they were not all standing together in one corner of the dining room, or behind the counter and talking.

Yelp
I wish I would have checked the reviews before eating at this restaurant. I was stuck in the LaGuardia airport due to delays and needed something to eat. The hostess sat us right away at a table that was still a little dirty. Our server was not great. He took very long times in between checking on us and forgot to bring a dipping sauce that was asked for multiple times. I ordered a burger to be cooked medium (without a bun) and a side of fries with the garlic aioli sauce. The burger came out VERY well done and genuinely tasted like a bad frozen burger patty. On top was the thinnest slice of tomato and some lettuce shreds. It didn't come with the sauce on the burger or on the side (like I requested). It took multiple attempts to flag down or waiter and then he forgot to bring the sauce multiple more times. When he asked how our food was, I explained that it was 'well done' and not 'medium' and he just said that's how the cook has been making them. He did say he would talk to the cook about it being over cooked which I appreciate. The French fries were pretty standard. The price of the food still felt a little high even though it was at an airport in NYC. $25+ for an overcooked frozen patty still seems overpriced to me. Overall really disappointed and I would urge anyone to find something else in the airport. I would have enjoyed fast food more.

Tonya V.

Yelp
It's an airport food joint, what's to complain about?! We had an awesome server and they didn't complain when we sat there for awhile after we finished our meals. They happily refilled our sodas, too. I did NOT finish the hot dog, btw.....so happy
google avatar

Patricia M.

Yelp
Understaffed for sure but no care at all. In LGA should be efficient and at least clean. Wait staff just keep piling the dirty dishes on to a table.
google avatar

Pat M.

Yelp
June 17 at 3:47pm The Hostess can't be bothered to show you to your table... she points you to a Table?? The Waiter, Daniel is great!! Perfect Service!!! Grill Cheese with bacon.. $20 almost inedible. Pastrami Rueben $28 gristle and fat , burnt bread, 3 slices of pastrami.... The prices are in line with NYC, but the quality of the food is disappointing. Skip this place at LaGuardia... We've been to their locations in NYC (Manhattan) by Carnegie Hall which were GREAT! I'm Seriously Sorry I didn't check the Yelp reviews prior to sitting down...

Brian P.

Yelp
I should have read the other reviews of this diner before I sat down. Unfriendly, non-engaging staff, including the "greeter." Waited 30 minutes for my $29 breakfast order and a coffee refill. The food arrived cold. I left without eating. Waitress no where to be found. Is the owner reading these reviews?

Stephen S.

Yelp
Stay away! Terrible food, and the manager is not even embarrassed about the poor service and food. You'll wait a long time and get a omelette that is more like a fried egg and a yogurt bowl with one strawberry .
