"Broxton is a bar and restaurant right in the center of Westwood Village. It’s sort of a sports bar, sort of a brewery, and sort of a vegan spot. It’s also an entirely cool space that’s impossible to miss, with blue-and-gold tiling in the entranceway (Go Bruins) and a fountain out front. They’ll usually have about ten house-brewed beers on tap (our favorite’s the Roger, Roger IPA), supplemented by five or six beers from other breweries. This is a great place to come for sports when you don’t feel like dealing with the craziness of the full-on UCLA bars nearby, or for a casual Sunday afternoon beer." - brett keating

"I was told the Broxton in the heart of Westwood near UCLA will be rebranded as a Figueroa Mountain location, keeping some of its existing design elements and brewing setups while offering on-site smaller-batch test beers and staples like Hoppy Poppy IPA, plus food and occasional tap takeovers for locals." - Farley Elliott

"In Westwood, I noted that Broxton — an ABC‑backed brewpub that has been up and running since October — is now ready to start manufacturing and serving its own beer in a bigger way." - Farley Elliott

"Opening to the public on Sunday, October 7 in Westwood, Broxton is a big, sunny one-off from the Artisanal Brewers Collective with pretty, stunning architecture. I think it’s likely the biggest new opening to hit Westwood in some time and arrives during the busy fall calendar for nearby UCLA students; the somewhat sleepy area otherwise leans toward fast-casual and chains, with only a few longstanding hits like Diddy Riese. The food is an updated “meat-and-three” concept that aims to please all palates—baby back ribs and grilled steak sit alongside meatless options like tofu, plus sides and biscuits—and the spot functions as an on-site brewing facility with over a dozen tap handles pouring house-made beer as well as offerings from the broader ABC team." - Farley Elliott
