"Seafood lovers will feel right at home at this celebration of wonderful fish and shellfish. The likes of marinated scallops and Icelandic whelks join a roll call of prime quality fish, cooked well by an able kitchen in pleasingly uncomplicated dishes that let the central ingredient shine. Stone floors, upholstered benches and open pipework give the dining room a simple, casual feel – and this is accompanied by a lively atmosphere." - Michelin Inspector

The 20 Best Restaurants in Reykjavík, Iceland | Eater

"Former Dill chef Ragnar Eiríksson and TV host and sommelier Ólafur Örn Ólafsson opened seafood-centric Brút in 2021 in a huge wraparound space connected to the Radisson Blu 1919 Hotel. Proving there’s more than cod in Iceland, the menu showcases a wide swath of Iceland’s seas, such as skate with brown butter and monkfish glazed in chicken stock, not to mention oysters, whelks, and anchovies. The wine list, with categories like Funky Shit and Candy Shop, is massive and includes a sizable collection of Champagne and sparkling wines." - Nicholas Gill

Excellent food and wine... every dish was delicious and well plated... the dessert presentation was interesting.... not sure the hype about the Michelin though... quality is similar to some of the other local restaurants...

What an amazing experience! The food was high quality and delicious with not much of a wait between dishes. The service was exceptional and very attentive. I highly recommend visiting and trying out their menu!

We had an amazing meal. Caviar was absolutely delicious and paired so well with the buttered baby potatoes and sour cream. The sea snails seem deceptively simple but was so well cooked and flavourful. The skate fish was exceptional - super fresh and perfectly cooked that the flesh just slid off the bones. Artic char was amazing as well and the use of nuts in fish dishes is unusual but definitely very clever. A place that I'd definitely return to.

I really enjoyed the food! Unfortunately, they didn't have the vegan caviar, which I was eager to try. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and while the prices are high, I guess it comes with their quality and Michelin recommendation. Ann, the sommelier, was excellent. I had the broccoli dish, and it was perfect, while my husband loved his seafood. I would definitely return if I ever go back to Iceland. 💕

Had a lovely dining experience at brùt, the food was I loved my Arctic char and My dining companion and I fought over the bread! She enjoyed her escargot and I thoroughly disliked the mushy crab appetizer thing. Pretty much every seat has a wonderful view looking out at the Great historic buildings outside.

What a fantastic lunch! My husband and I ordered faux gras, rock crab, scallops, bok choy, sea snails, apple pie, and a couple of non-alcoholic drinks. The meal was also served with complimentary bread and butter (delicious). Everything was wonderful and tasty. The sea snails were so good that we ordered seconds. BRÚT may be our new favorite restaurant in Iceland, and we’ve tried quiet a variety of places (including most of the Michelin starred or recommended establishments). Certainly can’t wait to return in the future.

If you are a foodie and aspiring Michelin eater, you must stop here when visiting Iceland. Food was excellent and the staff was lovely.

I dined here and really enjoyed the seafood forward menu. I wasn’t wowed by every dish I got, but I was pleased with every dish. What stood out to me was the fresh seafood and awesome service! Their wine list is extensive (but expensive). The cocktails are delicious!
