What an experience! The food was absolutely magnificent! The service was top-notch! The visit overall was just absolutely perfect! Valet parking… Great ambience! Coupled with everything that can go right on date night! We had a blast! Thank you so much, Team … Wonderful job!

I have driven many a time by this place. I always felt intrigued by how it looked and how busy it always was. I took my wife out for a date an update to be a surprise for her and myself that have never visited this restaurant. I am so happy that I made that decision. We enjoyed some of the most delectable dishes. Deep fried calamari was the best I have ever had as well as a tuna roll. We also enjoyed the tuna tataki with a very flavorful dressing. We ordered the barbecue ribs and the ribeye steak. When we order barbecue ribs we always compare them from another restaurant that we love. So I would say these are an 7.5 compare to the other ones. The ribeye steak was delicious. The only thing that we didn't enjoy was the baked potato, it was a little bit cold. To end the night we got a lemon meringue pie. It was fabulous. This place is for seafood lovers for the most part. They have so many combinations of platters. We had a an outstanding waiter. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The place itself is very clean. Dark atmosphere which I like. They have a patio area with a bar. Bathrooms are amazingly clean. We will definitely come back.

My family really loves this restaurant. I've been there twice. I don't eat meat and the options are limited for vegetarians. They have a baked potato and salad, which I didn't recall seeing on the menu. Some of the sides are vegetarian. They have a vegetarian sushi roll. The bread is good. I think I like the baked potato best. Dessert is good and very filling. They offer free valet parking. The atmosphere is nice but very crowded. Service is on the better side of average.

Beautiful location. Love the indoor and outside bar. Can't beat the Happy Hour specials. The staff works hard to accommodate everyone, especially when they are busy, which is pretty much every weekend. We made the wise decision to pop in on Valentines Day with no RSVP (lol). We didn't mind the wait. We strolled over to the Ambassador to take in the views and enjoy a cocktail. We have never had a bad experience at Buck & Rider, and we come at least once a month. Hello, Free valet parking (tip please).

Celebrated our 11 year anniversary here. Just an amazing experience. Hands down some of the best food we’ve had anywhere. From the fried calamari, that was exquisitely complimented with a vinegar sauce, to the steak and lobster tail which was perfectly cooked, we enjoyed the whole meal. They’re exceptionally fast with service and the staff is friendly. A must if you’re in Phoenix.

Celebrating my birthday with Mrs. V. This place has been on my foodie radar for the past few years. Located in Arcadia, perhaps my favorite restaurant district where you find neighborhood regs who gather to enjoy fine dining and amazing cocktails. Buck & Rider has a well deserved reputation as one of if not the best seafood restaurant in AZ. They offer fresh fish and oysters flown in daily, reserve steak, and delicious craft cocktails. Upon arrival we received a very friendly greeting and within minutes we were seated. Shortly after we were met by our sever Lorenzo. Lorenzo was very engaging and knowledgeable. While reviewing the menu, we ordered the crispy calamari, tuna crispy rice and fresh oysters as starters. Frannie ordered a NY strip steak, crab legs and a house salad. I ordered the New Zealand John Dory with roasted carrots. While waiting for our entrees to arrive I ordered my traditional birthday pour of Blanton’s bourbon. The food was extraordinarily well plated, presented, and delicious!! Lorenzo informed me that there was a happy birthday message (to me) on one of their menu boards. Very nice touch! Finally got to cross B&R oysters of my list! Great selection, cocktail sauce has a kick! I don’t think the bread/rolls is worth it, it was literally just bread with salt on it…no butter options to pair. Didn’t like being pointed towards my table/ me looking around instead of guided to my table of guests…again just price point and steps of service go hand in hand I liked that the 1/2 lobster tail was 10 oz, i disliked that it wasn’t served with warm butter / a butter tower (drawn butter was in a ramekin & got cold quick) wasn’t a fan of having to de-shell my lobster BUT would’ve been pleased if given proper de-shelling tools. Also wasn’t provided a de-shell bowl/plate for the lobster shells. Again, just price point, $400 i would expect some of these things/elevation for the dining experience. I was kind of shocked there was no hot towel service for after oysters / shellfish starters, something i would have expected with B&R price points. (I think there’s an equal amount of great quality foods/restaurants in the valley with very similar dishes. That’s why steps of service/details are important/play a huge role in what the guest’s are paying for) Limited side selections, would have liked any other side options to have been verbally mentioned, if they weren’t listed. Birthday macaroons were a cute touch tho!

We stopped in on advise from friends and had a wonderful night! Alejandro (Alex) was a superb server and the food was amazing. The rolls, the oysters, the steak…. we can’t recommend just one dish because it was all great! The cocktails were some of the best we’ve had. Overall what a high bar this place sets - we will plan to come again next time we are in town.
