Bufón

The food is incredible, the staff super friendly too. The clams, mackarel, bavette steak are a must. Delicious take on a dirty martini. Can’t wait to come back for more. Beautiful addition to the LES

Bufón is nothing short of exceptional. The second you walk through the doors, you’re met with incredibly attentive service that makes you feel cared for. The food and drinks bring you the comfort of familiarity but surprise you with creative twists. You can feel the intention behind every dish and beverage. My friends and I sat in the corner of the dining room and were able to take in the beautifully designed space while enjoying our dinner. Every dish was fabulous. Our personal favorites were the clams (perfect bites), the sunchokes, salad with persimmon and pear, the beans, the duck with grilled dates (what the heck?!) and of course, the bavette with assorted sauce boats. We started with their Bufón martini (perfectly balanced and ice cold) and enjoyed a beautifully paired bottle of wine throughout. Ended with the best dessert I’ve had in recent memory - passion fruit tart on a ritz cracker crust?! Perfect night, amazing new spot. Can’t wait to come back again and again and try more

Lovely ambiance, mixed on the food, some great some not, good service. Note, there's no sign on the door and the entrance is on Allen Street, Btw.

Great wine and cocktail selection. I was seated at the bar and the everyone was very friendly. The martini I had to start was absolutely amazing and the food was great too!! I had the Picanha with the hash browns and the pepper sauce. It was cooked and presented beautifully. I will definitely be coming back to try more :)

Great looking space with lots of character. The host and our server, Ray, were awesome. The food was unbelievably good. Highlights were clams, tuna carpaccio, sunchoke salad and ribeye. And fries and spicy string beans. The briny Bufon martini was also excellent. Damn, everything was really good.

A gem of a neighborhood restaurant in the Lower East Side! Perfect lighting. Wonderful waitstaff/restaurant owners. Delightful menu that is perfectly edited. A sommelier to help you choose the perfect wine. A really lovely evening. The kind of restaurant you walk by and say what a great looking spot we should go sometime. And you should! Also by NYC standards not too expensive. We will be back soon!

Very welcoming vibe, delicious food and a great wine recommendation. LOVED the steak au poivre, grilled mackerel, but the linguini prompted a second serving for the table. The tuna carpaccio was excellent, as was the sunchoke dish. I love that they combine unexpected ingredients in surprising, delightful result. Dining here is an experience to be savored. Bravo for Bufón!

Incredible new spot from the Demo team. Awesome raw section and maybe the best bean dish I’ve ever had. Steaks were incredible as well as the Halibut. The potato side was ridiculous. Like Demo wine game is on point. Really lovely vibe. So great to have a spot like this in the LES.

Came here with a couple of friends to try Bufon, which has been on our radar and the sister restaurant of Demo (which all three of us really enjoyed). We showed up around 6:30 on a Thursday and were able to snag some seats at the bar. I think we got really lucky though, as the bar filled up quickly. Service at the counter still felt top notch (great place seating, plates changed between courses, waters always filled). While the cocktails we ordered were good, we really appreciated their wine selection and food options. We ordered the squash & stratchiatella + limon pasta as starters, duck + pichana steak as mains, and crispy potatoes + kale (more like a creamed spinach) as sides. We would absolutely order everything again, and I would want to try some of their seafood options as well too. Overall a great experience and would go back to try other kitchen items as well (probably make a reservation first though).

Excellent cocktails, and steak, duck and carpaccio. Even the green beans were amazing. There's a good vibe with the service too. A good place to hang.
