Take a Peek Inside Plano’s Chic New Spanish Eatery Before It Arrives | Eater Dallas

"An export from Florida and part of a growing chain with locations in Florida and Georgia, this Spanish-influenced small-plates restaurant is opening in Legacy West in Plano. The menu emphasizes tapas-style dishes—cured meats and cheeses, ceviche, fried calamari and ham croquettes served with fig jelly—while heartier options include a seafood-packed paella, a burger and a cumin-marinated skirt steak. Bright interiors echo Spanish motifs with rich blue tiles and vivid photos of flamenco dancers, complemented by a massive Carrera-marble-topped bar for drinks and snacks, plus a large back booth that seats groups and offers a view into the open kitchen. No official opening date has been announced, though the restaurant is expected to debut next week." - Amy McCarthy

Tapas and Sangria Will Soon Arrive at Legacy West | Eater Dallas

"A Spanish-themed restaurant from Florida expanding into Texas with its first Plano outpost in Legacy West, this concept channels the tapas bars of Barcelona and even takes its name from a Spanish slang word for “chatter” or “noise.” The full signature menu will be offered, highlighted by a grilled octopus salad with Roma tomatoes and cucumber and a paella made with Valencia-style rice, prawns, clams, shrimp, and saffron. Texas-specific additions include the inclusion of a margarita on the cocktail menu and a shrimp-and-fish ceviche blended with roasted jalapeño. Guests can expect to enjoy tapas and wine on an outdoor terrace when it opens in February, with service planned to include lunch, happy hour, dinner, and weekend brunch (exact hours to be announced). The brand currently operates five locations in Florida and Georgia, with a sixth planned for Charlotte, North Carolina." - Alaena Hostetter

We started off with drinks which were a 4/5… Sangria was good but the old fashioned was watered down! Patata bravas could have been better… Ceviche was star of the dinner - too good! We did not particularly like the Paella as we expected the bottom crust burnt which it was not…. Garlic shrimps were good, needed a bit salt. Overall good, not sure why is it extremely highly rated!

Easily the best meal and service I've had in a long time. Isa was my server and she had fantastic recommendations and was so kind and attentive! The horchata was great! Montaditos blew my mind! Didn't have any expectations, and it was such a great mix of flavors. I felt like Remy in Ratatouille when he eats the cheese and strawberry. I really appreciated Isa and the chef for my paella de pollo without mushrooms. It was so tasty. I have been eating mostly home cooked meals since moving to Dallas, so I think that's why I felt the paella was a tad too salty for me. But otherwise, a very tasty dish. Isa recommended the flan de coco. I love coconut, and the flan did not disappoint. So rich and creamy! I didn't read the menu thoroughly and thought it was served with vanilla ice cream. The passion fruit sorbet was an unexpected flavor combination with the fruit and flan! I will definitely be returning and I'll be taking family and friends here when they visit me.

While visiting the Dallas area, last night started with the Smoke & Mirrors cocktail (despite not being a big fan of Mezcal) but it was a nice balance of smoke/sweet/spicey. Had the grilled octopus and pork loin skewers and they were delicious; have had grilled octopus in many foodie places and this by far has been the best. The only minus is the bed of polenta could've been a tad bit less sweet. Capping off dinner with the Torrija dessert was a pleasant surprise since neither the goat ice cream nor the caramelized brioche were saturated in sugar as wayyy too many desserts resort to. The laid-back chic vibe and atmosphere was also appreciated. Highly recommended.

Dallas has many great restaurants and BULLA should be on top of your list. They have great variety of tapas and everything is exquisite! From the sangria to the cafe bonbon, from the montaditos to the ceviche, everything is on point. Do yourself a favor and enjoy life to the fullest, ask for all the tapas and ask for David B, he was our wonderful waiter who will guide you with a smile and excellent service. Viva Bulla, delicioso y olé!

Excellent food and atmosphere. It was our first time here and Diego helped us to understand the menu and choose our appetizer, tapa and dinner. Churros are delicious, and we recommend the chef’s board too. Definitely we are going to come back.

Bulla is a fantastic experience at a great location in the Shops at Legacy. Everything we tried was off of the Fixed Brunch menu which is 32 dollars for a three course meal. All the dishes we ordered tasted amazing, with very reasonable portions for the price. Our server Cortney was great and checked on us throughout our meal. Would definitely recommend for anyone stopping in the area for a meal.

Great food and service. All the tapas were delicious. The coconut flan it was the cherry on top. The only thing I was not happy was they placed us in a tiny small table when they have plenty of tables open even when we arrive and left.

I had a beautiful experience at Bulla. Everyone was exceptional. Edgar provided amazing service and provided great suggestions. I enjoyed this restaurant so much… I visited it multiple times while at my conference. Manager was also amazing and made it a point to greet “her friends” personally the multiple times I visited. It’s in great location.
