Portland’s Best Restaurants and Bars, Spring 2025 | Eater Portland

"This restaurant is aptly named after its knockout bun bo hue — spicy beef noodle soup hailing from Hue in central Vietnam. The broth is a complex meaty, shrimpy, lemongrassy delight, loaded with collagen-heavy cuts of beef and pork, layered with slices of Vietnamese ham and jiggly pork blood cubes, and bulked up with chewy, slippery round rice noodles. But the garnishes are what really bring the soup to life: shredded banana blossoms, heaps of basil and mint, lime, and both spicy and vinegary condiments. It’s an essential for wintery Portland evenings and hungover mornings alike." - Katherine Chew Hamilton

The Best Soups in Portland, Oregon | Eater Portland

"For spice lovers, bún bò huế is an obvious favorite in the vast Vietnamese noodle soup canon, and in Portland, it’s hard to find a better version than the one at Bún Bò Huế Restaurant. The balance of savory beef and pork with lemongrass in the broth gives it incredible depth, only compounded by the congealed blood that arrives in the soup. A pile of fresh greens and herbs adds a nice touch of brightness, especially when finished with a squeeze of lime." - Rebecca Roland

Where to Eat and Drink in Portland’s Lents Neighborhood | Eater Portland

"The more celebrated establishments tend to be found north of Powell, but SE 82nd is strewn with absolute gems well south, towards the land of big box stores in Clackamas. Amid pipe shops and auto repair garages, Bún Bò Huế Restaurant specializes, naturally, in bún bò huế, that intoxicatingly rich, lightly spicy soup bolstered with pork blood. Beverages include Vietnamese coffee, avocado smoothies, or the tricolor chè ba màu sweet bean drink." - Nathan Williams

Portland’s Best Southeast Asian Restaurants, Mapped | Eater Portland

"From the outside, this corner spot with barred windows is less than beckoning, but Bun Bo Hue’s namesake beef noodle soup is a standout among the many versions in this part of town. Chile-spiked broth and bouncy Vietnamese vermicelli rice noodles join tender sliced beef and pork, sausage, pork knuckles, and blood cubes in a perfectly balanced bowl."

Google
The BEST BÚN BÒ HUẾ in town 😩🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I usually come here once a week and the flavor never disappointed me. The broth is rich with flavors with mắm (fermented shrimp paste and fish sauce )so come in mentally prepared for the ultimate aroma. The soup comes with a great selection of herds yes yes yes 🤩 It’s authentic as much as in Vietnam. I only come here for their signature Bun bò Huế so I don’t know much on their other dishes but I bet it still bomb. This is a family owned business. They are very nice and genuine people please be kind to them during rush hours. Thankyou cô và chú.

Google
This is the best bun bo hue in town and i have tried them all. How it's suppose to be made just like mom would do it. The rice dishes are excellent. Dont be scared of the rough exterior. Inside is super clean and food is some of the best Vietnamese food around. Nice family owned and always greeted with a smile. We love this place!

Google
By far the best place in Portland to get Bun Bo Hue. The portions are generous and the workers are very kind and warm. Don’t go anywhere else for bun Bo hue if you’re in the area. Go here!

Google
Ate here with a group. I got the rice and spicy chicken with lemongrass, so good. Very spicy and flavorful. And the spring rolls were fantastic. Everyone else got the soup, and the owner (?) was very helpful and friendly, showing us how to add stuff to the soup and how to eat it.

Google
Very friendly and helpful staff with great food at affordable prices! Good size parking lot and a very clean restaurant. Will definitely be back for more. I want to add that every dish and appetizer we had was amazing and my entire family was pleased with the amount of food we got.

Google
This is the best bun bo hue Vietnamese restaurant in town and I have tried most of the Vietnamese restaurants in the Portland metro area. The Bun Bo Hue (beef rice noodle soup) and the spring roll dishes are excellent and delicious. Don’t judge the rough exterior of the restaurant. Inside is super clean and food is some of the best Vietnamese food around. Nice family owned restaurant ever and always greeted with a smile by the owner. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times with my family and friends, all of them had highly recommended this restaurant. We love this place and would love to come back again! Thank you guys!

Google
Don’t let the outside fool you. This is by far one of the best little surprises in the area. The food was fresh & very flavorful. We’ve eaten in quite a few Vietnamese restaurants over the years and this is our favorite place so far. Service was pleasant & everyone seemed really nice. We didn’t even have to request chopsticks. 😊 Thank you for an enjoyable meal that was slightly messy. My hoodie will never be the same. Next time I’ll bring a bib. 😂

Google
So good! Worth every penny. Been coming back for years. They recognized me and my husband after the first time we ate here (8+ years ago), and have always been so welcoming. Such a hard working family and their food always makes us feel like we are a part of theirs. 🥰

Yelp
Bun Bo Hue is my favorite Vietnamese food of all time. I could eat it every day if possible. I even considered applying to work here because I love it so much, but we would be out of soup to sell everyday. The ambiance is very comforting and everyone that works there is always smiling when welcoming people in. This bowl of noodles has everything you want. Meat, veggies, carbs, and comforting soup. It has pork, beef, pork knuckles, Vietnamese sausage, and pork blood (don't knock it till you try it brothers). I literally have no idea what they put in their spice, but it's SPICY, one common thing you will hear in the restaurant is someone coughing because they slurped down the wrong pipe. In all seriousness, if you want a mom and pop shop that serves delicious food (their other menu items are delicious as well) , you should check this place out. They are always welcoming of everyone and that's what always has my friends and I coming back.

Yelp
It's a super small place, family owned on a very sketchy section of 82nd Avenue. Limited menu, average quality for Bún Bò Huế. The broth was way to light and not enough flavor for my taste. Street parking and limited parking in the back of the store. Quick and friendly service.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has a real at-home feeling. I think, had I geown up in this neighborhood, I would've come here a lot. The folks here are very friendly. They have a wide variety of food and it's all very affordable compared to the many other similar restaurants nearby. If you're looking for authenticity, this is definitely a place you should check out.
google avatar

Yelp
Sketchy part of Portland, parking is behind building. The neighboring building looks like amazon auction resells. Food is good, family owned. Very casual. The bowls were cracked, silverware spotty. Owner was also eating and greeted us. the tables were not that clean, doesn't look like they put any time or effort into decorations or cleaning. Too bad because the food is good. I hate to say this but you wonder if they would pass inspection on cleanliness. Lots of boxes stacked on floor, looks wet and dark with mold ? Probably won't go back.

Yelp
This place has some really good Bun Bo Hue. The store seems very unassuming from the outside, but the inside is clean and simple. I got the regular sized bowl, and I still felt like the portions were great. If you're extra hungry, you can opt to get a large size bowl. For the size of the bowl, I'd say the price is pretty fair. There is a discount if you use cash. I really love the flavor of the soup and the mix of all the ingredients in the bowl like the meat and vegetables. They do offer various other Vietnamese dishes, but I'd say you should definitely check this spot out if you're craving Bun Bo Hue.

Yelp
This review is well overdue. I come here at LEAST once a month. That's saying a lot for a guy that doesn't eat out very much. Bun Bo Hue is like Pho's sexy spicy cousin. Hard to describe it. Lots of meat, bouncy noodles, a deep broth. Lots of different items to choose from, but I always get their large Bun Bo Hue bowl. Absolutely SLAPS during the winter! Family owned, service is great, prices are great, and the food reminds me of food I had in Vietnam. IT'S THAT GOOD!! Do yourself a favor and go here ASAP.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese food av tried in America so far. Definitely a hidden gem. Service was top tier. Really felt like you're sitting at a restaurant in Vietnam with a lot going on around you. The vibes are great.

Yelp
A friend recommended this place to me since I was craving bun Bo Hue This place is so good for bun Bo hue, it has the right amount of spiciness, very flavorful and the noodles were good! I highly recommend it! We also ordered the banh cuon, but they forgot to make it, guess have to go back to get it next time!

Yelp
This place is small and not fancy But the bun bo hue is so good we go here every week, best bun bo hue in town
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant with a simple menu! This place boasts a clean atmosphere and a friendly, efficient staff. The bun bo hue I got had a super flavorful broth and all the toppings were delicious. The beef was so tender, but the spicy broth I'd ordered wasn't actually spicy which is my only complaint.

Yelp
overall: 4/5 food: 4/5 service: 3.5/5 ambiance: 3/5 surprisingly, i've never heard of this BBH restaurant before and my dad suggested coming here after being put on by his friend. first impressions upon walking into this establishment is that they are authentic. cleanliness is a bit questionable (there was left over lipstick on the tea cups), but that's okay!! we ordered the two BBH bowls- one was larger and the other was smaller, along with shrimp dumplings (which just looked like frozen packed har gow so i would skip on these). the BBH itself was super yummy! i like how they giving the dipping sauces on the side and ask if you want your soup base to be spicy or not. generous portions are given and the food and served fast too. the complimentary tea on the other hand tasted like any other watered down tea served at other asian restaurants, but the one we received was already cold. overall, i would be back again for the BBH!
google avatar

Linh N.

Yelp
The most flavorful Bun Bo Hue that I've tasted so far. 5 stars for the food. They are stingy on the meat and quantity for the price they charge though. They're one of the few places that offer iced tea with your food (a staple in Vietnam). The place is inside a run down building. No real decor, just blank walls (very typical of a restaurant in Vietnam). This is how you know it's a legit authentic place! The staff is very friendly but they seem overwhelmed. It is crowded so don't expect to be greeted right away. Next time I would order the large because the regular is just not enough food

Yelp
This is my fav and ONLYYY place I come to for bun bo hue it's so spicy and rich . This place KNOWSSS how to make it ! I always ask for extra spicy and extra pork blood ! It's so cute and small and they are always greeting and making sure their costumers are okay

Yelp
Vietnamese food in Portland?? Heard about this place from YouTube and my my my, was I pleasantly surprised. Broth was super flavorful and you get a lot of meat including pigs feet, pigs blood! The noodle bowls come in a small or large and mid-way through eating, I could definitely do the large next time! I'll be back!
google avatar

Jody L.

Yelp
If you like bun bo hue, you definitely need to try this place! It is the most authentic bun bo hue I've had in Oregon and I've tried at least 10 other Pho restaurants. Other places tend to load it with a bunch of msg to make it more flavorful. The broth is super tasty and full of natural flavors. The crispy rolls were good too, it had taro in it which I love. Super yummy! We'll definitely come back again.

Yelp
A Vietnamese noodle restaurant NOT dedicated to pho??!!! Can you even believe it?? We were so excited to try Bun Bo Hue restaurant in Portland, Oregon and we were not let down! The old Vietnamese couple running the restaurant were the nicest, offering water and complimentary tea as we stepped in to the restaurant. It may be small, but it was bright and very clean. They helped explain the menu to us and we decided on the two noodle soups they had (neither of which were pho!). We got the special version which includes all toppings, including pork blood. One was spicy and one was not. A big plate of additional toppings came out, including beansprouts, lime, cilantro, banana blossoms, and more. Everything tasted delicious and the portions were so large! We were so full. The soup was so good I drank all of it. If you're not a fan of noodle soups, that's ok too, because they offer rice plates, spring rolls, and other Vietnamese dishes. They even have Vietnamese iced coffee! We found free street parking (1 hour) right next to the restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
They are the best bun bo hue in all of Oregon. A must try for anyone stopping by the 82nd. This place really deserves 15 stars but I was only able to fit 5 on here. Heres the rest. **********

Yelp
On a Friday night around 6 PM, my partner and I drove out here after watching a Mikey Chen video! You get the authentic smell of Vietnamese food right when you enter. It's very modern looking inside, but gives you that hole-in-the-wall feel. The wait staff was so kind, even as I fumble my way through ordering with broken Vietnamese. He even helped me with pronunciation (which honestly is so rare bc people laugh more often). We got bún bò Huế, cơm tấm đặc biệt, and chả giò. The noodles and meat were so tender, the pork blood perfectly cooked, and the broth so flavourful. I also really appreciate broken rice with the egg cake & shredded pork skin -- signs of authenticity!! The spring rolls were huge and filled with taro (my partner wasn't a fan but I loved it). At the end of the meal, they even offered one of those cookies from the sewing kit tins (iykyk). I loved our experience here and will recommend it to everyone!! Also, the credit card charge is listed on the menus.

Yelp
The bun bo hue 4/5. Solid. Clean. Not too flavorful. Definitely not spicy. Not really memorable. Just solid. The seafood pho. 4/5. Nothing wrong with it. Clean tasting. Again, not very memorable. Nice wait staff. Clean restaurant. The soup wasn't memorable enough for me to go but really, nothing was wrong with it. Maybe it's just not my style of soup.

Yelp
This is my first time back here since the pandemic, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Pre-pandemic, this place was a true hole in the wall - great food but the interior was old and dark, not very attractive at all. When I stepped into the same non-assuming door, I was surprised by the clean and sleek furnishing and bright light. It is now a pleasant restaurant by any standard. Good is good as always. If you like Bun Bo Hue, this place is for you, no doubt. But what I want to point out if their spring rolls. I have had so many spring rolls at different Vietnamese restaurants. Most of them would pre-make the spring roll and leave them in the fridge until someone orders them. Though spring roll is a cold appetizer, I never liked gummy skin and cold sauce. This place makes their spring rolls fresh! The noodles are slightly warm inside the rolls, and complements the cold veggies and meats. They also warm their peanut sauce. It's the small things but make a huge difference. I wish they are closer to me - I'd come every week.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
My friend really likes this place and comes here often. In fact, he frequents this place so often he doesn't even need to order anymore! He sits down and they bring him his order!! Talk about a creature of habit and familiarity! If he brings company then the staff will stop by the table and ask what everybody wants to eat... Not a very large venue, decent amount of seating. Open kitchen...sorta. You can definitely take a peek and see what the staff is doing. Parking can be a bit challenging, I don't remember a parking lot nearby, but we were able to find street parking right outside the restaurant...so the parking Gods were definitely smiling upon us that day! I wasn't too sure what to expect since Man Jose has some brilliant offerings in Viet cuisine. I gotta say after eating here, Bun Bo Hue is on par with anything in Man Jose ;-) 16. Bún bò Huế - 5/5 Good size bowl...some generous portions! Tasty broth and a different type of noodle...not familiar with the thicker noodles they used. Can't forget to mention the big old pieces of Pork Blood cubes...great meal for the Winter weather.
google avatar

Denessi B.

Yelp
I love coming here for their Hu Tieu! it's one of my all time favorites. The broth is so rich in flavor! They have become a bit pricey though for what it is.

Fred S.

Yelp
What a great place. Don't let the metal screens on the windows deter you. Family run and they do a great job. Food is really good.
google avatar

Art C.

Yelp
And finally... the bun bo hue challenge! I know you guys have been waiting for this one just as much as we have. It's Bun Bo Hue Restaurant vs. Teo. We actually had this one first... And the verdict... Excellent! Bun bo hue has been my favorite noodle soup dish since first experiencing it many decades ago. And this version was so satisfying. Perfectly authentic but just a little different, like all great versions of this dish. I don't know if Teo will be able to pull this one out...
google avatar

Corina W.

Yelp
BE AWARE of they will charge you extra if you pay with credit card! I really like their Bun Bo Hue and I've been there for years. But last time was couple weeks ago, I ordered a large bowl of Bun Bo Hue and I paid with credit card, they said they had to charge me 50 cents!! NO SENCE! I will NEVER come back! Did it ever happen to anyone?
google avatar

Ben C.

Yelp
Bun Bo is bare bones basic. Although credit due for actively nimbly cleaning during the lunch hour, the overpowering bouquet of Clorox bleach tile spray hits you right away as you enter, sit and unfortunately while you dine. Really intense. Soup lukewarm on a frigid day? Not expecting the oily style broth, the soup was too cold to finish. Egg noodles a bit overcooked. BBH slogan says affordable pricing but the one size bowl would be considered a small in other pho spots. Service is hole in the wall hospitable, laid back local. Seating space a bit cramped during the lunch rush.

Michael B.

Yelp
I had a great meal here with my kids. This restaurant doesn't have your regular Vietnamese menu. The food was different, but tasty. The setting is not exciting, but I'd come back.
google avatar

Isabelle R.

Yelp
Usually get bun bo hue from here, but you can see from other reviews it's already quite flavorful. The owners are awesome, super sweet and kind throughout our experience, reinforcing exactly why I want to come back time after time. Ordered their rice plates with pork and egg cake yesterday--have to say, their portions got smaller (probably a result of COVID), but still filling nonetheless. Wouldn't hurt to add more shrimp, but still flavorful and delicious across the board. Especially on a rainy day, this place is worth the visit!
google avatar

Josephine T.

Yelp
Hole in the wall with a friendly asian auntie bringing you out warm comfort food. TBH, way cleaner than most Vietnamese restaurants I've been to and way nicer service! Normally I dont comment on service at a Vietnamese restaurant because that is literally not what you're going for ~ but she was so nice I had to call that out :) She even saw a loose thread on my friend's sleeve and pulled it off without saying anything as she came to take our order. So cute hehe. We ordered the BBH spicy and one person in our group had a shellfish allergy so she recommended the bbq pork noodle dish. (BBH contains shrimp paste) Honestly - both were fantastic and exactly what you need for a recovery meal. Broth was surprisingly sweet and though we ordered spicy, not at all spicy. If you're looking for something super spicy, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for a complex yet clean broth to warm your soul, this is it!
google avatar

Christine N.

Yelp
Best BBH I've had in portland! Was recommended this place was I come to pdx for work. Since i love Vietnamese food, I'm always carving it when I travel and being from SoCal I have high expectations. Super cute hole in the way, but bright and cozy restaurant. Super simple and friendly service that feels family owned. Gentle always takes my order and it very kind. Food comes out piping hot with just the right spice level! You can always add more spice too. They don't skimp on the toppings and I love the small pieces of pig feet. Veggie plate is fresh and I love how they give banana blossoms. Hot tea provided and quickly refilled frequently. Come here for BBH, you won't regret it. Make sure you get the large size.
google avatar

Ngoc-Mai P.

Yelp
Sooo good! Got the spring rolls and #17 bún bò Huế special! Wow, so yummy and filling! The broth is on point! Would come back again when visiting Portland! Service is friendly, there's one bathroom in the back, not too much seating so may be a bit of a wait if coming during a busy time. Free parking in the back of the store.
google avatar

Patrick S.

Yelp
Simply the best Bun Bo Hue in Oregon. Excellent service. Really authentic Vietnam vibes.
google avatar

Timothy L.

Yelp
Solid and homey spot for bun bo hue. I ordered the bun bo hue with special size and the soup was so flavorful and had the right level of spiciness. The servers were kind and attentive and the space was nice and clean. Also, they do charge an additional fifty cents for card payments!
google avatar

Su-jen Y.

Yelp
After watching Mikey Chen's video featuring Bun Bo Hue, this place had been on my list for ever but it is quite far for me so finally I decided to come here. I ordered the large Bun Bo Hue because I was very hungry but it was definitely a hefty bowl of noodles. The soup was super flavorful and there were a lot of meat, brisket, pork blood etc in it. The vegetable plate they gave was also hefty and the basil was super fragrant. I added the raw beef but it was $3 for three very small slices of beef. So I highly recommend the bun Bo hue but the raw beef was not great value. Love that they provide complimentary tea instead of water. It was perfect for a warm summer day. I also ordered their Thai tea but felt that it was quite watery so don't recommend that. Overall, I love this place, would just adjust my order next time for a perfect experience. The people were super nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Had lunch with the family here yesterday. Tasty food and very nice service! Recommend the crispy rolls, the vermicelli with crispy rolls, rice paper rolls, Saigon style pork and the bun bon hue bowls.

Yelp
I've already reviewed this spot, but I thought I would review their service during the pandemic. I still stand by my first review, but if you've dropped by recently you know they have a whole new look. Say goodbye to the hole in the wall vibes. The tables have a marbled look with proper chairs, no more connected benches. The new flooring is nice and bright. The place got major work done, it's no longer what I remembered. The kitchen is still an open concept and still very clean. I cannot wait to dine inside. The staff is still just as warm as I remembered, family owned and operated. The warmth that comes with the service really feels like coming to a family member's spot or an old family friend's restaurant. It's really comforting to feel like home without being home. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it feels like the portions are massive to go. Not a complaint, just what I noticed, I saw other reviews that their portions seem smaller though. The meat has been consistently fresh every time I've gotten it recently. I'm sensitive to the smell of old pork so this is great. I started getting BBH with spice on the side so I can adjust the spice level when I'm at home. I think I much prefer it this way than ordering it with the spice level already stated. Some days you might feel like having BBH a little spicy when you order, but having it hot hot hot when you get home.
google avatar

Sydney L.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I make it a weekly tradition to dine here, and it's become our absolute favorite! The star of the show is undoubtedly the Bun Bo Hue, and it's the only thing we ever order--consistently delicious. Even our friends, venturing into different menu items, have attested to the overall excellence. Despite its unassuming exterior as a hole-in-the-wall spot, the restaurant is a hidden gem that pleasantly surprises. Operated by a warm and welcoming family, dining here feels like being served by your own kin, creating a cozy and familial atmosphere that keeps us coming back.
google avatar

Jeanie N.

Yelp
Don't let the exterior fool you. It's light and bright on the inside. Sounds of Vietnamese variety shows permeate your ears, the smell of broth hits your nose and the happy couple greet you with bright smiles. They have a fairly extensive menu of soups. I only get the signature Bun Bo Hue super bowl and spicy!! The veggies accoutrements are fresh, the broth has a ton of flavor. Cubes of pork blood cut so perfectly on a bed of noodles and various pork parts boiled to fall off the bone. When I crave this soup, it hits hard and I make my way to this cute little shop on 82nd. Viet soups are more than just pho. Try the BBH or the other soups on the menu, you won't regret it.
google avatar

Austin N.

Yelp
While the interior or exterior is not extravagant, this location is clean and homey. It was my first time here yet I was greeted very warmly like family. The complimentary tea was nice while we waited for our order. The bun bo hue broth was very flavorful and the variety of ingredients were all well prepared and appetizing. I ordered the large bowl which was hefty and quite filling. In the picture, you can see the difference between mild spicy and very spicy levels. Overall, a great place to get your craving for bun bo hue satisfied!
google avatar

Yelp
I found food tasting delicious that reminds exactly the traditional breakfast broth for Vietnamese.
google avatar

Tes Y.

Yelp
Ordered to go and everything was nicely separated. Noodles in a box, broth in a container and herbs and limes in a bag. The soup is perfectly balanced - citrus, savory, sweet, spicy. Noodles were fresh and bouncy. What a delicious meal. The man at the register was very pleasant! Came here on a Friday afternoon and there was no wait and just two other customers. Easy street parking. Thanks for the rec, Mikey Chen!
google avatar

Yelp
We got this for pickup when we first moved here. You can tell it's legit the moment you step into the restaurant. Regulars are hanging out chatting with the staff, huge vats of bun bo hue visible from anywhere. Solid bun bo hue and well packaged to go. Good broth and meat portions. We need to come back to dine in. The first time I realized that Portland area has a solid Vietnamese food scene!
google avatar

Rachel Y.

Yelp
Quality and taste of their Bun Bo Hue is back! Their broth taste clean with a hint of sweetness. Service is fast and they have remodeled the interior to look more modern. Definitely a stable, especially during the cold rainy days.

Yelp
This is a small, family owned and run place. When we arrived at 4:50 pm on a Sunday, there was a party of 6 just leaving (all smiles)and a few other tables filled. This was a good sign this early into the evening. We were given water in big plastic tumblers, the kind you might see in someone's house, and hot tea in plain paper cups. We ordered the chicken wings for an appetizer, Com Chien Thap Cam (fried rice with chicken, shrimp and pork), Bun Bo Hue with raw beef, and Hu Tieu Cho Lon. The soups were amazing! Very nourishing and warming broth for a cold, rainy winter day. The rice was also excellent, the chicken wings were pretty good as well, though they came out after the main dishes. Overall, a great spot with good service. It's small, but clearly the food is cooked with love.

Yelp
This is my first time trying Bun Bo Hue the dish, so I can't speak to how authentic or how it compares to others. But I can say that this noodle soup was delicious, perfectly spicy, balanced, and filled with delicious meat and other toppings! It was the perfect warming dish for a below freezing day. They have a small dining area with very attentive staff. The food also came out very quickly. This is the place to go for that winter comfort food!

Yelp
My favorite go to bun Bo hue, I am pretty picky when it comes to this dish because my grandma and mom makes it very well but this one is really nice and close to it, when my mom and grandma can't make it I would go here

Yelp
Very authentic. Included the pork blood cake, which is rare in Portland. Location quite south on 82nd, but worth the trip.

Yelp
Yummm! Probably the best bowl of bun bo hue I've had in Portland. You seat yourself and the food comes out pretty fast. They allow you to select the spice level. I ordered just the regular bbh. I've never had bbh where it came with a dipping sauce but the sauce was super good. Salty and complemented the meat. The broth was flavorful and medium spice level was just perfect. Id come here all the time if I lived closer.

Yelp
This place is sooo amazing! Just went by today and they are open for sit down and takeout. The shrimps dumplings came right out of the steamer and the sauce they came with was so delicious. Bun bo hue is the best I've had with tender meats and the tastiest blood cubes. Also their customer service is amazing. 10/10 would recommend!!!
