Burger and Beyond Shoreditch

I ate here for my last meal in London. Solid choice because the burger and fries were good. Well cooked and reasonably priced. The vibe of this place was great. It's like a casual place you can come to just to get a good meal and drink. Can't go wrong if you're in the area and looking for a good quick meal.

We used to order Burger and Beyond on Deliveroo all the time but unfortunately they no longer deliver in our area, so was very excited to come to the restaurant in person. The burger (the bacon butter one) did not disappoint and I would definitely say it's (probably) the best burger in London (or at least that I have tried). The burger is cooked just the right amount and the bun has a slight crisp to it that is delicious. The poutine and tater tots are so good as well.

Best meal I have had in a long time. The burger was out of this world. Perfect bun, perfect meat, perfect flavours and perfect textures. The chicken strips were crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. The loaded fries were so delicious I could have ordered several portions and happily only had them for dinner. The drinks were great. Service was fantastic. Will deffo be coming back.

Went a couple of weeks ago, first of all the young black guy that served us was great, he put us at ease wi to knowledge of the menu and kept the right kind of distance when checking in whilst we were eating !!! Haha. Next the burgers are banging. My boys know their burgers and this is up there, we will definitely be back, in fact my wife went back on her own…. Brilliant flavour, chips on point and presented well. Wicked amongst the best burger in London!

Our visit was after office hours and we did have to wait a little to be seated. But once seated everything went smoothly and nothing to complain about. Seating in the restaurant is limited so if you are planning to go as a group be sure to make a reservation. Despite being in a group of 8, food arrived in respectful time and nothing was missed from our order. I got the bougie burger with the bone marrow gravy fries - absolutely delicious. Some people might find it too rich but the bone marrow sauce was very smooth and delightful. Thanks to the service team. Recommended anyone to visit if in the area

The food quality and taste were truly top-notch – the cheeseburgers were excellent. However, waiting 40 minutes for two burgers significantly diminished the overall experience. Unfortunately, this wasn’t an isolated case; the table next to us faced a similar delay and had to ask the staff to check on their order as well. While the staff was friendly and courteous, more proactive follow-up on delayed orders from the kitchen would elevate the service from good to excellent. With such great food, improving the efficiency of service would make a real difference.

Delicious food, quite possibly the best burger I’ve ever eaten (I had the double cheeseburger)! Juicy burger meat, good bun, not hard, perfect amount of melted cheese and a slight bit of onion - I was so in-love that I forgot to take a pic of it 🤤. The chicken starter with the dip is also unreal, perfectly crispy, no unnecessary sauce covering it. The cocktails here are great too - I recommend their old fashioned. This was my second visit, I went before and had their wings, I wouldn’t recommend these if you’re like me and don’t like your wings covered in sauce. All you can taste is the sauce. Staff are friendly & rapid at serving.

I had the focaccia cheese burger which was delectable - there could have been fewer jalapeños for my liking (had about 10 slices on the burger fresh with seeds). But, that being a personal preference, was a 5/5 for food. Reasonable prices, on the upper-end for burger joints in London, but then again so are the burgers. I enjoyed the Pale Ale on tap. The restaurant itself is a tad cramped, both upstairs and downstairs.

How we found Burger & Beyond was from my fiancé's YouTube research on the best burger in London. Burger & Beyond was consistently mentioned as the best, so we gave it a run for its money. Final verdict? I only ate burgers one my entire trip at London, and it was at Burger & Beyond, but I can confidently say that it was one of the best burgers I've EVER had. I made a reservation for lunch at 12pm on a Wednesday. We ended up showing up 15 minutes past our reservation time due to delays on the Tube, but one of staff members was chill and had no problem with us arriving late. In general, customer service was amazing. Our server was friendly. Not as attentive, but that's what I expected at this point having been in Europe for 3 weeks. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner as well. Burger & Beyond has a lunch special by which a burger and chips were 10 Pounds. I got the Bougie Burger (single patty, double cheese, marrow mayo, steak sauce 2.0, and beef onions), and it was excellent. If I had to nit pick anything, it would've been nice if the bun was toasted. My fiancé got the Bacon Butter burger, and he was blown away by his as well. Sidenote: the best fries I've had in my 3 week trip in Europe was neither from Paris nor Brussels but in London at Beyond & Burger. Golden and crispy goodness.

Solid burger restaurant! Go bougie all the way with the bougie burger! Very solid fries and other snacks. The location at borough yards is convenient for hanging out with friends or taking visitors around London.

Great burger. The outside does not do it justice. Its on a busy street. Once you get inside, it's great!!! we actually ate at the bar because all the tables were full and there's an entire downstairs I didn't even see and all those tables were full. Burger was so good i had the mushroom patty and the sauces were incredible.

Wow!!!! Amazing burgers. So tender and juicy. And so unique. Wish we had a place like this in the states. Fries were awesome. Service was great. Burgers were incredible. Car park (parking lot) only a 1 minute walk from restaurant. It was perfect.

Very good burger joint, the best I have tried in London. I had the Bacon Butter Burger with double patty which was really good as meat was of really good quality and also the Pancetta and Burnt Butter Mayo were delicious. It doesn't get 5 stars because they don't cook medium-rare and the overall cooking of the burger was actually not good. My two patties weren't cooked the same (and one was also broken...) and they were different also compared to the ones of my friends. They have really good meat and toppings but the people at the grill should do a better job. If the overall burger hadn't been delicious, I would have given only three stars because of this quite important drawback. I also had the Dirty Tots which I liked a lot but they must be eaten immediately when they are hot because as they get chill they lose their thing.

i was hanging out in shoreditch while my mom(back home in the US) was sending me places on instagram that she thought I'd like to try...and then she sent me burger and beyond. holy freaking HECK. as soon as i saw their profile and their food i RAN in their direction and had one of the best burgers of my life. wonderful staff, wonderful aesthetic, and wonderful food! first thing ordered was the fried chicken bites. truly some of the best fried chicken strips i've tasted. it's not often you find strips that have a dry, crispy, crunchy, and NOT overly greasy breading. these were the real deal. all that while having such a warm, moist, and well-seasoned chicken underneath. also ordered, was a side of TRUFFLE TOTS. good LORD they were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of cheesy potato goodness. GET THE SECRET SAUCE! dip anything and everything you can into it! ordered one of the six burgers on the menu and was not disappointed: bacon butter burger: signature dry-aged beef patty, double american cheese, crispy pancetta bacon, burnt butter mayo, onion. hecking brilliant. get your hiney to this place.

I was so excited for this Burger. Definitely went out of our way to try it while in England. I was let down. Being a burger spot, I was shocked that we were nearly turned away because we didn't have a reservation. But they found us room at the bar. The place is really noisy so there was a mishap with our order. The server fixed the situation +1 :). I will post a picture of my burger, I think I hyped it up too much from what I saw on Instagram. I expected extraordinary and received average.

Go Big or Go Home. That's what I am wishing I did last night. I went for a single burger and it was the wrong decision! I wish I'd gone for the double patty!! My friend suggested this place as she heard it was the "most instagrammable burger" and she knows I like taking pictures! Well there was definitely substance to this style. The burger was a definite 5/5. At first I thought I was going to stray from my normal path and go for the Rice Krispy fried chicken burger after being swayed by the maple mayo and ranch pickle, but our waiter put me on the right path and advised if it was my first time then to go for the beef as it is what they're known for and try the chicken next time. Decision made. My friend and I both went for the Bacon Butter Burger; a beef patty with pancetta, double cheese and burnt butter mayo. It was delicious. The burger and toppings are well compact. Nothing was spilling out the edges, all was aligned. No falling apart and no messy fingers. It was cooked perfectly, juicy and the bacon flavour coming through just enough (I don't actually normally like bacon on my burgers) and I could get a chargrilled/fired flavour, possibly from the burnt mayo. It was really good and could stand up on its own, without the needs the fries. Although I did of course get fries with it. My only regret was that I didn't double up and get the double patty. As burgers go, I felt this was on the smaller size and especially as it is all so compact and stays together. Next time I would go for the double. The fries were nice and a decent portion size, although you do have to have purchase them in addition to your burger, they don't come on the side with the burger. This restaurant has been open 4/5 months now and it was so busy, along with loads of people walking past and looking it. Apparently they have a stall in Camden Market as well. So I shall look out for that. I would defiantly recommend Burger & Beyond. Staff were all really nice and friendly.

My best friend and I walked by this restaurant a number of times during our stay in Shoreditch and always wanted to come in and eat. It turned out on a Friday night it was a good spot to grab a delicious meal. Shanice was a great! Super helpful and very attentive and recommended the best items off the menu. After a long day of walking around London it was great to come into a place w amazing food and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Thank you guys!
