Went here with my boyfriend and future mother in law as an early birthday dinner for her and the food is INCREDIBLE. I don't have much else to say other than delicious food, a homey atmosphere with a really inviting outdoor seating area, and also great beer. Will definitely be back at some point! There's so much more I have to try and 100000% recommend their mac n cheese it's absolute fire

My wife and I ordered the En Fuego Burger with regular fries. I had my burger cooked to medium and had amazingly seasoned fries, and the lemonade they have is delicious. I definitely recommend and would come back if I’m in the area!

The people who work here are nice and patient.

Perfectly cooked burgers 😋😋😋 there is a bit of char to the meat that makes it delicious!! Fries are extra and not as great as burgers. Empanadas are good but their stuffing is a bit on the drier side. The patio is dog friendly which is a huge plus. Definitely worth it for the burgers!!

Nice looking place, it’s counter order style establishment. They do have inside and outside seating available. Food was ok but not great, had the En Fuego burger which was tasty but didn’t have any spice to it. Pricing is average for the area, expect to pay over $30 for a burger, fries, and drink.

The food is always good - doesn’t seem to matter what you order. Just add chimichurri sauce to it - even if it doesn’t come with it. Example, excellent with sweet potato fries!! One the the best things I always enjoy is being helped by the amazing, fun, friendly and professional server TRUDY! She's a reason why I come!! It's a treat & experience for her to wait one you!

Stopped to meet a friend who was in town for business. The food is delicious and great variety. There is something for everyone, prices are good. I did have the empanadas and I was not a fan, seemed dry. My main course was amazing!

Our family of six all liked it. Food is fresh with some unusual spins, and portions are generous. I should have asked them counter server's name because she was great - middle aged with pigtails. Counter order with table service, not a lot of seating but pleasant environment and reasonable prices for the quantities. We'd come again if visiting the area.

Food was great - but Trudi was the BEST! She wanted us to have the best experience- she recommended the Thai chicken dish. It was delicious. She was so attentive and kind. The only bummer was being charged for a corking fee and then, plot twist, no one had an opener Luckily a friend had one in their car. We were refunded for the fee. If everyone there had Trudis attitude- holy smokes that would be amazing

Great place to come to if you want a large selection of healthy fresh food options at reasonable prices. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Bowl and Salmon Bowl with quinoa, and neither of us were disappointed. The young man waiting on us was friendly and patient and answered all our questions with a smile. The atmosphere is inviting. Just wish they had more locations in San Diego County.

Excellent service from Trudy! Super friendly and warm, went out of her way to make us feel pampered! Let us taste the beers, patiently walked us through the happy hour menu, when the beer tasted a little stale, she set up a brand new keg and gave me a fresh glass, then heated up wet napkins to clean our hands. Store is clean and comfortable but a little empty during 5pm Wednesday. Beers were delicious and great deal at 50% off 3-5pm HH time. Chicken wings were crispy and we liked the Nashville hot sauce. Beef empanadas were ok, a little dry and could use more flavor. Only minor complaint is the HH food pricing doesn't seem such a good value. Overall great service and great beer happy hour!

Very yummy. Good flavors and chicken n breast was juicy and great portion for the price. Not pictured, but got the beef empanada too. That was delicious and cane with a delicious chimichurri dipping sauce.

The word, FANTASTIC does not begin to cover the service ... let alone the incredible food! Normally Tri-Tip is tough. Not there's!!! The BBQ Tri-Tip Sandwich was tender and a delight! WOW!!!

Haven't been here for a few months .. my husband and I used to come here often and loved the quality food !! Delicious ... then for a time .. it went down hill . We have it 3 tries and decided not to come here again .... Recently my friend wanted to come here for lunch ... and the food was great again .. and today I just popped in to order a sandwich .. I decided on the Nashville chicken sandwich ... oh wow !! It was amazing !! Had to take half of it home because it was so packed with grilled chicken and veggies and maple bacon with a tangy spicy / sweet sauce ... on a giant roll ! Yummy !!! I'm so glad I gave this place a second chance !! Super good !! We will be back again !!!!!!

We went to this place for lunch after hiking and the food is good. I got the veggie burger and I would say it is one of the best veggie burger I ever tried. It's very delicious and the taste is prefect. My husband got gaucho steak sandwich and it is good as well. The hibiscus lemonade is very good and refreshing. Fries is very good as well. Small size is big enough to share for 2 people. Great customer services and they have the outdoor sitting as well. I would definitely come back here for the veggie burger again.

FOOD: My husband loves their gourmet burgers and perfectly hot and delicious fries, with a side of aioli. I normally get the chicken curry bowl but decided to try the salmon dish which was super scrumptious and served hot. I enjoyed it with a glass of wine & we each had one of their homemade cookies, all great. SERVICE: hostess was professional and quick but the older server/busser was SO friendly and great!! AMBIANCE: Casual, Modern and Fun. PRICE: $55 Aprox for 2 people

My favorite are empanadas & garlic fries (fries are only avaliable during Happy Hour 2 to 5 pm & can't get as take out)( empanadas can get all day - eat in or take out)

Bushfire knocked it out of the park tonight! I get the same dish every time and this is the first time every single ingredient was cooked to perfection, everything was included in my take out order, AND Trudy made sure I was a happy customer! Trudy is the best! She is always friendly, high energy and accommodating! She cares about the restaurant. She takes pride in her job and she takes the best care of her customers. She's a gem!

Great food quick service and good prices. Out door seating. Menu has many choices. I had garlic Brussels sprouts , clam chowder and calamari. Perfect !!

First of all...Trudi is AmazaZING! I'd come here just to hang out with her. (Pssst...She needs a raise!!) But the food is also delish!! I'm super picky about my brown rice...and theirs is always perfect! The butternut squash is #epicnessinmyface. The chicken curry is also fab. Highly recommend!

Restaurant was empty yet my take out order was 20 mins late. Even the server said it was the worst surf N Turf he'd ever seen as he boxed it up and handed it to the waitress. You can see where they put the pasta in, then took it out, because I ordered mash potatoes. Never again.

Wow! We've gone to this center more times than I can count and finally decided to stop by Bushfire Kitchen for lunch! Boy, are we happy we did! This place is solid!! Upon entering, there's LOTS of indoor and outdoor seating with a format to order up front and they bring the food to your table. It's an open kitchen concept so you can see everything being made and assembled. It's a large menu with lots of options and different types of food. The young lady at the register was super polite and happy to give recommendations. Everything we had was delicious! Highlights - Chicken Empanadas, so tasty with the perfect dough and the chimmichuri dipping was was very flavorful - Thai Chicken Curry Bow with Sweet Potatoes, I was shocked at the complexity of the curry and spice level! Definitely had some kick and the sweet potatoes (side) were super fresh and seasoned well - Butter Noodles & Kids Quesadillas, both kids ate their entire meal so that's always a great sign! - Cookies!!!! We got a few cookies to go and they were all amazing! This will be our go to spot when we are in the area, from now on! Can't wait to come back!

Disappointing experience here unfortunately. My boyfriend and I wanted to try somewhere new for sandwiches and burgers so a quick Google search led us here. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and there were only like 2 people in the restaurant (which should have been my first sign). After ordering at the counter and having to give my tip before receiving the service and food, I have a clearer understanding as to why they do that. It took close to half an hour to receive our food and when we did, the order was incorrect. We ordered the gaucho steak sandwich, American burger and a side of fries... not too difficult. At first, they didn't bring us the fries but mentioned "the fries will be out shortly". So after waiting another 10 minutes, we went to go check on the fries and they let us know they completely forgot about them and never put them in. To add to that, we ordered the condiments and pickles on the side of the burger (my bf hates them, I love them) and not a single item came out with it on the side. By the time we finally had all of our food, we had been there for almost 45 minutes. And while the steak sandwich technically came out correct, it really didn't taste very good. It felt more like roast beef on a roll with garlic basil spread - not chimmichurri. The two stars are for the fries which, when they finally arrived at the table, were the best part of the meal. All in all, pretty disappointing meal and probably won't be heading back any time soon.

A weekly pick up from here consist of the Bushfire Burgers their sweet potato fries and the strawberry salad with chicken or salmon now that they do not have the burrata salad any longer. If there's ever a problem I do a survey and they're pretty good about changing things up like I used to get the strawberry salad which was pretty much all spinach and very little toppings and the last one that I got had a lot more toppings and cheese on it more nuts more cranberries which made the salad perfectly balanced. I do miss the burrata salad because that was fantastic. I did have a chicken sandwich and I didn't like the bread on the sandwiches because I just felt that it's too thick and too hard but the bread for the burgers is soft and great. So I would say probably 95% of the time everything's fantastic and every once in awhile I'll get a little bit of a dry Burger or something is a little off but most of the time everything is on point. The service is wonderful and everyone has always been extremely friendly and helpful they have such a great staff. They will continue to be a weekly staple for pickup.

BAD SERVICE ! My wife and I came here for the first time in 9 months on Sunday to have lunch. Sadly the last time we dined on their outdoor patio during the covid shutdown we received very poor service and we were reluctant to return. We did have an unused $30 gift card that the owner sent us 9 months ago to apologize for the terrible service episode by one of the staff...a manager actually ( If you see my last last review I still gave 5 stars even though it was a 3 star experience ). This visit my wife stood in line to place our order for a Tuscan Chicken Sandwich. A female cashier took our order and we added 2 Empanadas to dine-in on their outdoor patio. They will being the lunch order to our table. The female cashier came out to our table with the 2 Empanadas in a paper bag ( most places would put those on a plate ). I happened to ask the woman her name and she got defensive. I said I think I know you but can't remember your name. I'm the manager....why do want to know my name ? she replied. I told her when I write reviews I like to name the staff we have contact with. Eventually we got Sarah. And then I said to Sarah THE MANAGER we didn't have a very good experience on our last visit here 9 months ago....very bad attitude and service from a woman named Rosemary. Hopefully things will be better this time. Sarah to her credit apologized for the previous bad service. I reminded her we were given a $30 gift card by Clive the co-owner to make up for the indiscretion. And then Sarah toddled off. Our lunch order was taking some time to come out to our table but was eventually brought out by a female worker we were not familiar with despite having been here many times in recent years. The employee placed our Tuscan Chicken Sandwich on our table and then proceeded to snarl at me and say that she would not tolerate me dissing a member of the staff. And she identified herself as the daughter of Clive the co-owner. This woman carried on with her rant for way too long and I asked her to leave us alone. Obviously I have no right in her eyes to mention bad service from one of their staff. Of course I have EVERY RIGHT to remind them about our previous bad service experience and it was deserved because they did it again. You can take your BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and shove it where the sun don't shine ! NOTE - With 20 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics world wide in 2023 I can tell you what is great !

Great food with a simple twist. Service is great that is always polite. Ambiance is great for a dinner out or an office lunch. You will come back for the food.

Great food - my favorites are Empandas, "Gaucho Steak Sandwich" and "Garlic Parmesan Fries" (only sold at Happy Hour, 2 to 5 pm daily, worth trip for those alone). Great Service- friendly, very helpful, friendly & casual atmosphere. TRUDY at the DEL MAR location is a STANDOUT, the BEST. I'm always uplifted when she's waiting on me. I was so excited when Trudy waited on me on 2/28/25. P.S. They have lots of beer, wine & cocktails, but I don't drink so can't review them.

Featuring a slightly more meaty vibe, Bushfire is a local chain eatery that in many ways mimics Urban Plates. The food is upscale casual, relatively tasty, and limited to a few signature dishes. There is a lot to praise. The staff was friendly and for the most part quite competent. The dishes are attractively plated and feature a few unusual items, including peri peri chicken (a fave of mine). The price point is actually quite reasonable for this day and age, especially in tony Del Mar. Our party had a decent, perfectly edible meal. That all said, there is nothing terribly exciting about what is offered. It is competently prepared and served food. But it's strictly middle of the road fixings and, to be perfectly honest, just a bit dull. To be fair, I can see myself coming here on a pretty regular basis if I wanted something quick and a cut above fast food. But if I am interested in dining rather than eating, I would forego Bushfire for something a bit less generic. Still, a good deal and a viable option if you're in the mood.

Ahi tuna plate was great! I love the fresh avocados and mandarin oranges in it. Wish portion was a little bigger for its price. Empanadas were ok (tried veggie and beef).

Trudi!!! Trudi went well! She KNEW my wife would not like the beverage she ordered ... I don't know how, but she knew. So instead of pouring a full glass of what my wife ordered, she said "no take this little taster and make sure your wife likes what she ordered"... This both saved the company money for not having to waste a full glass... And it saved my wife the uncomfortable experience of not being able to take a second sip of the drink she ordered during her first visit to this restaurant... Instead because of Trudi, we are thrilled with the customer service and the proactive attention being paid to the customers... Kudos to your staffing team and processes that believed in Trudi's ability to read people and match them to the food and beverages of their liking... We are amazed at how much customer service we got before our food even arrived!

This was the first place I stopped while in San Diego. It is amazing! I ordered a basic burger ( with bacon of course) and sweet potato fries. I feel like you can't ever go wrong with sweet potato fries. Both the burger and the fries were excellent. They also have their own sodas. Also very tasty!!!! It's a counter service place where you order your food first then go find a seat. Food was quick, hot, fresh and service was great too! Small quaint place. Plenty of parking, it's in a strip mall type area.

It's a KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK place to eat! The food is outstanding! If you don't get there early, prepare to wait. They do an incredible delivery service for lunches and catering all over Del Mar! There is inside and outside seating. You seat yourself and get to ordering. Look up the menu on line. Their prices are so very reasonable! I can't believe their whole foods and real foods are cheaper than fast food outlets. It takes just a bit to get your food, because it's made especially for you! I love the vegetable bowls with rice or potato. Oh, might have to go there today! TRUDY is the best hostess and server. She comes around and brings you refills and is always happy! Go now! Just go!

I like Bushfire, but this is a pretty sad little cookie for charging for three dollars. If I was in-store I would have passed when I saw the size, but it was delivery. It tastes decent, but this is very over priced. See the size of a cookie compared to a pen!

Excellent food every time we have ordered from Bushfire Kitchen-Del Mar the salads ingredients are all fresh with amazing dressings! Also the chicken sandwich my husband loves the two on the menu. I ordered the peri peri chicken burger -fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this lovely gem.

Bushfire is our team favorite. We are a local Del Mar Dental office and love this place. They are a great place to get quick quality food. The service is amazing and the Bushfire team is very accommodating. It's also so helpful that they have plenty of seating for our team with options to set inside or on the patio. The food portions are more than enough. We always leave feeling full and happy.

This place is a true gem! My husband and I order on a regular basis here (and sometimes we eat on site), and we're never disappointed. Their burgers and plates are consistently excellent, the flavors are always on point, and you can taste the difference that premium ingredients make. As someone who's very particular about healthy options, I'm impressed by their commitment. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that takes such care in selecting their produce and prioritizing quality and sustainability when it comes to their protein choices.

Bushfire used to be so great. This location has messed up my to go order several times now, recently they forgot a side salad, they didn't add the extra chicken I paid for, they gave us the wrong sauce, and I don't know if they changed the focaccia bread recipe but the last one was an eggy nightmare that had no herbs on top and tasted terrible. The portions continue to shrink and the ingredients get cheaper. This used to be an awesome spot for really good and high quality food but there is a severe lack of care now. When we walked in, 3 or 4 employees were just standing around. I get orders being messed up because they're slammed but they were clearly chilling. I wouldn't recommend this place anymore.

The food is amazing!! Everything we've tried tastes homemade, from the BLT and spinach/strawberry salad to the chocolate coconut macadamia cookie. Andrew and Trudi made us feel at home and took care of our every need! We will definitely be back, but we'd also like to see a Bushfire Kitchens restaurant in Newport Beach or Irvine so we could go more often! Love it!

We brought a soccer team here for sin ser with nearly 20 people and has a great time at their outdoor seating area. They had sports on the TV's and enough heaters to keep everyone comfortable. Their format works great for large groups that want to pay separately. You order inside and pay when you order then they bring your food to you when it is ready. No sharing checks or trying to split payments! The food provides so many healthy options and is great for groups with vegetarians and gluten free guests. But healthy doesn't mean boring! Their burgers are delicious and the Beef Brisket Bowl and Free-range Chicken Bowl are so good as well. They have a great selection of craft beers on tap and good wine choices as well. I would love to come back because there was so much more that looked great but I didn't get to try. Specifically I am sorry I missed the En Fuego Burger, Peri Peri Chicken, and of course the Grandma's Mac and Cheese!
