Opening Set for Downtown Gluten-Free Bakery Scratch Made | Eater Vegas

"I'm pleased to report the self-described “girls at Scratch” are reopening their gluten-free Scratch Made bakery in a new Arts District space at the C3 Lofts, with a grand opening scheduled for Nov. 24 from 8 a.m. to noon; it will be the sole retail tenant at the purpose-built C3 Lofts. Future regular hours and an updated menu have not yet been revealed, but the team has pledged to continue their allergen-friendly creations from their original location near the corner of Buffalo Drive and Smoke Ranch Road. Previous menu items have included cinnamon buns, cookies, doughnuts, pizza, muffins, quiche, and custom-designed cakes, and the bakery aims to become the neighborhood spot for good eats, sweet treats, and quick bites." - Bradley Martin

Scratch Made Moves from Summerlin to the Arts District | Eater Vegas

"A Summerlin-based gluten-free bakery closed its brick-and-mortar shop in July but plans to return to retail in the Arts District by taking the prominent front commercial space in the under-construction, $14 million C3 Lofts at 1005 Third Street, just a short distance from Charleston Boulevard. While awaiting relocation, the bakers—who refer to themselves as the “girls at Scratch”—have been fulfilling wholesale orders. Their original northwest storefront near the corner of Buffalo Drive and Smoke Ranch Road emphasized serving customers who need allergen-free food. Longtime menu favorites include cinnamon buns, cookies, doughnuts, pizza, muffins, quiche, and custom-designed cakes." - Bradley Martin

Very poor management so far this has been one of the worst places to rent they will up charge you they charge a maintenance fee each month the place is always dirty and full of homeless all around i do not recommend this place at all have too give a 60 day notice to move out when your lease is over makes no sense if the lease is ending went to talk to the property manager randy about how much its will be for the extended 9 days he told me i really couldn't tell you i will send you a email next week check other reviews they say the exact same thing i was told at the beginning of my lease that all utilities were included in the rent but when i moved in still got charged for it so i asked randy and he said that that program ended a week before I moved in I've seen multiple drug deals go on around and in the apartment complex including one living inside the complex and all they have to say is call security number well they should have a security guard 24/7 around the complex many of my packages were stolen yes that is a pee stain that's been there for weeks and still not cleaned up but they charge a maintenance fee!!!!! HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!

Randy (property manager) is super kind and thoughtful. The move in experience was seamless. Living here has a castle-like feel to it. The neighborhood seems headed in the right direction. I'm really enjoying it.

Run. Just run. This was one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've ever had. I can't believe how much time, energy, and stress I wasted dealing with C3 Loft employees. I had to chase them down just to get basic updates on my application. It took them three weeks to approve my application. After they did approve it I had to call multiple times just to get vague, useless answers. What really pushed me over the edge was when they tried to gaslight me -- telling me they had emailed me when I never received anything. And yes, I gave them the correct email. The blame was constantly shifted onto me, and not once did they take responsibility for their mistakes. I felt ignored, lied to, and completely disrespected. No one should have to go through this. Please don't waste your time, money, or hope on this place. You will regret it -- just like I do.

*Update August 2025* My lease ended and wanted to update my review from 1 star to 4 stars. First things first , I want to thank Randy for his hospitality and making my move out process as smooth as possible. Randy and I started off on the wrong foot at first due to neglect from previous staff but we sat down and sorted everything out. Randy is really trying to clean up c3 lofts and has done a fantastic job with only the few months that he’s been at this location. He’s done such a good job that I almost considered resigning my lease! Thank you again Randy! Unit 312 Poor management , My leasing agent (Yolanda) was under the influence of alcohol when showcasing the apartment. Long story short when I asked her what unit I had seen she said idk and was just incompetent and careless. So I ended up signing a lease for a unit I never even seen. Turns out my unit is the worst unit in the whole apartment complex. She also gave a bunch of mis information and just wanted me to sign my lease so she can get her commission. ( I have the text messages ) With 5 months left with my lease I’ve seen 3 different leasing agents. Marizone was okay but she acted like she hated the job so I don’t understand why she applied ? The new leasing agent Randy hasn’t even bothered to message me back about an issue that I’ve been having. It’s been 2 weeks and no response. Maintenance guys keep parking their cars in front of my garage making it extremely hard to get in and out of. Sometimes blocking me in. I don’t mind the maintenance guys parking there because I’m at work half the time but everyone else in the apartment thinks they can just park there for free and block the garage that I pay for monthly. Doesn’t make any sense. There’s parking outside of the apartment.

Randy was wonderful! I recieved a tour of the studio apts and was shown a few units. He was patient and did not mind showing multiple units while providing information about the apartment and it's amenities etc. I am pleased to have found C3 lofts and will aim to be a long time resident thanks to Randy.

I was in the last month of my lease and gave a 30 day notice which was accepted by c3 lofts representative Emma to then be completely moved out, keys returned… just to receive a letter in the mail 2 weeks after I'm already in my new living situation telling me that i owe another month of rent and needed to give a 60 day notice. Horrible hospitality. No one in the leasing office answers nor holds any accountability. They even pro rated a few days in July which i paid and NEVER told me i owed anything more till I received that letter. Horrible place to live not worth the hassle choosing this place.

I’m pleased with C3. They are working on cleaning up the apartment, it’s relatively new management. The area is also improving. The complex is secure as long as the pedestrian doors are closed when folks depart. The apartments are nice, small and sound insulated. Location is hard to beat. Within walking distance of Fremont to the north and the Strat to the south. Older reviews are from different management and currently things are better than those reviews indicate.
