"A Summerlin-based gluten-free bakery closed its brick-and-mortar shop in July but plans to return to retail in the Arts District by taking the prominent front commercial space in the under-construction, $14 million C3 Lofts at 1005 Third Street, just a short distance from Charleston Boulevard. While awaiting relocation, the bakers—who refer to themselves as the “girls at Scratch”—have been fulfilling wholesale orders. Their original northwest storefront near the corner of Buffalo Drive and Smoke Ranch Road emphasized serving customers who need allergen-free food. Longtime menu favorites include cinnamon buns, cookies, doughnuts, pizza, muffins, quiche, and custom-designed cakes." - Bradley Martin
