12 Standout Spots for Boba in Las Vegas

"Founded in 2014, Café 86 focuses on ube-flavored drinks and desserts, notably halo-halo, a layered Filipino dessert drink made of crushed ice, milk, jackfruit, and coconut jellies, topped with a scoop of ube ice cream and flan. It also serves a variety of milkshakes, milk teas, iced teas, espresso, and blended drinks, with the option to substitute alternative milks. The Upside Down Halo Halo and the Monster Ube Milkshake (add boba) are best-sellers, as well as its Ube Crack Cheesecake." - Katie Swalm, Janna Karel

We got Halo Halo (Filipino dessert). They all were delicious, light sweet, varied textures and the layers look so photogenic. Ube ice cream on the top was perfect sweet. The service was nice and the place was cleaned. They also have tall tables and sofa to sit. I love how they decorate the area with Star Wars related like Darth Vader and Storm trooper. They also have electrical sockets for charging your devices.

This place is a great spot to relax or work. There were a few people there with their laptops. They had a lot of ube-flavored drinks and snacks. I ordered the upside-down halo halo, and it was pretty good. It was a bit too much corn flakes seems like I was eating a breakfast cereal, though. The tiger sugar tea was a bit watered down for me. Overall it’s a nice looking spot.

Google
If you’re looking for healthy options, this might not be the place. Unfortunately, there weren’t any sugar-free or truly healthy choices available. Even for decaf or herbal tea lovers, options are limited – the closest they have is a hibiscus tea, which still contains caffeine and is sweetened. The atmosphere is nice and the staff were friendly, but overall, I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone trying to take care of their health. I’m glad I checked it out, but I won’t be coming back.

My first time having Halo Halo and also the Ube. Big portion. Several seats. It was refreshing option in a hot day in Vegas.

As per 6/13/25 Today, i walked in for a tea and decided to try a new drink. The one i ordered was too sweet(Honey B), but the lady nicely replaced it for one less sweet. Shout-out to Lucille, the best customer service ever!! **My favorite upside down halo halo!

Love this place for their desserts and pastries. Love the Upside down halo halo with ube ice cream. Will definitely come back.

I live nearby and wanted to try a local place to eat for lunch. This Cafe is located at the corner of Jones and Russell in a small mini-mall next to a Wing Stop. It has a very homey, cozy vibe interior with industrial type edison bulb lighting, rustic Midwest vintage decor with a splash of Star Wars memorabilia (the owner loves Star Wars), comfortable seating on weathered couches or tables and chairs, and a chalkboard menu. The menu leans heavily on teas, coffees, shakes, and hot and cold lattes. In addition there is a selection of sandwich options and fresh baked treats available. You order at the counter, pay, and wait for your name to be called. I ordered the Turkey Pesto sandwich. It comes with potato chips and served in a clear square to-go container. It was $11.50. Given that it's a local place and the price level of restaurant food, this was about what I expected but was expecting it to be served on a plate rather than a to-go container with a side of more than store-bought Ruffles potato chips (my only slight criticisms). The warm, toasted sandwich was what I had hoped. A tasty blend of pesto, fresh greens, sun-dried tomatoes, and turkey breast on delicious panini-pressed toasted hearty fresh bread. It was a healthy portion and tasted delicious. I didn't try any of their drinks or baked goods, but I will on future visits (of which there will be.) I really enjoyed my sandwich far better than any chain options available within the area. Also the service was cheerful, friendly, and helpful. I definitely think it's worth giving this cute, cozy neighborhood place a try.

Google
Service is amazing. The desserts are delicious and drinks are made to perfection. My mother loves coming here and I really wish there was a location closer to home but I’m always willing to make the drive for their ube leche flan. The workers are always welcoming and I never have any complaints!

Yelp
Ube heaven in every bite! If you're a fan of ube, Café 86 is the place to go. Their menu is packed with creative ube treats--think ube cupcakes topped with flan, rich ube butter bars, indulgent truffles, milkshakes, and so much more. Each item feels like a fun twist on a classic, and everything we've tried has been delicious. The service is excellent--friendly and efficient, with to-go orders packed carefully and neatly. The shop itself is clean, spacious, and has a chill, laid-back vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out or grab something sweet to take home. A must-visit for ube lovers!
google avatar

Marylin M.

Yelp
I ordered the following: ube cheesecake... rating 1/5 flan ube muffin... rating 3/5 The cheese flavor in the cheesecake was potent, it over powered the ube flavor. The flan on the ube muffin was semi dense, not rich in flavor, ube muffin was decent on taste. The ambiance is nice enough for a study session. Either way I will not returning.

Yelp
Shout out to Karina who was really nice and offered good explanations of the drinks/menu items! I remember the OG Cafe 86 from Chino Hills years and years ago. Gone are the days of free hibiscus drinks (literally at that location back then pre-pandemic, you could just fill up on unlimited hibiscus drink). Anyway now to get a free cup of hibiscus you have to order 4 of the same thing - either 4 Ube cheesecakes, 4 ube flans, 4 ube crinkles, or 4 ube truffles. They had a bunch of ube desserts like those just listed as well as ube bread pudding, ube cupcakes, ube brownies, etc. The desserts taste just like the ones at the original Chino Hills location. There's also an extensive drink menu. I was in the mood for a shake this particular day so I ordered the thai tea monster. This was a milkshake made of ice cream, thai tea, oreo cookies. The thai tea was somewhat dilute in flavor, but the shake was still overall really good. I would definitely come back to try other drinks / milk shakes.

Yelp
Star Wars themed cafe, with a vast drink menu and ube desserts! Service was quick, definitely not a super busy place and there are plenty of seating options. Got a simple iced vanilla oat milk latte and it was decent, espresso could be a bit stronger. I recommend this place to all the Star Wars and ube lovers!

Yelp
We came back. The Upside Down Halo Halo was awesome! The Pastrami Sandwhich was good too. I just wished their staff did a better job explaining ingredients in their sandwich i.e. mayo, mustard, what type of cheese, etc.. When i inquired about the Sea Salt Coffee, he said it's just sea salt. Come to find out it was diluted in so much cream! Cool vibes and chill music inside. Friendly service, however both workers need to do a better job taking the patience to explain their menu.

Yelp
Initially visited due to a hosted event but ended up ordering from the menu. Yelp has Cafe 86 highly rated, and since we're already here, might as well check out what they had to offer. Service: Being first timers, the cashier at the time was very nice and patient while we selected from the menu. Due to the ongoing event, I'm assuming the 15 minute wait for drinks is unusual on a regular day. Still warranted a 5 of 5 stars Food/Offering: Settled for the Halo Halo (like most folks that day) and Cali Mango w/ boba. I personally had the Cali Mango which was very good and the boba was cooked thoroughly. The Halo Halo, per my party, was noted to be good as well. 5 of 5 stars Overall: Nice little establishment with a life sized Darth Vader to greet you at the door. Seems like a cool place to hang out with friends. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

Yelp
They have the best halo halo in town! I love their upside down halo halo. I got the upside down halo halo with Ube ice cream. It was very good. I just noticed that there was less stuff on the bottom this time. Don't know if they changed it. But anyway it was good and I also got a Ube Bread Pudding. It was good. Very sweet, but still good. I got it with Ube ice cream on the side, but I think I will get vanilla ice cream instead. The atmosphere was real nice as usual. There are some individuals just enjoying the day or enjoying their treat in the café. My cashier was friendly.

Yelp
I've been coming to Cafe 86 for years because they always have the best ube treats, both original and new. This time, I finally tried the Upside Down Halo-Halo, and it was amazing. I usually don't eat flan, but theirs was richer and creamier than most. My fiancé doesn't typically like sweets, but he really enjoyed both the halo-halo and the ube truffle. The truffle is one of my favorites since it combines ube and Oreo. There is plenty of space and seating, so we dined in. Our food came out quickly, and the staff was kind as always. Cafe 86 is a must for any ube fan.
google avatar

Yelp
Been here a handful of times. Their ube desserts are probably my favorite in town and with a cup of black coffee chef's kiss lol You know you like a place when you say my favorite things (plural) here are the ube crinkles, ube butter bars and the ube crack cheesecake. Be forewarned ube crinkles and kids don't mix. I know because as a big kid ummm let's just say the powdered sugar is not our friend haha Service with drink recommendations makes it 5 Stars
google avatar

Kimberly K.

Yelp
Wasn't impressed by their ube drink where I had to add a shot of espresso separately. Didn't have much ube flavor. Nice big space inside. Wifi password was printed on the bottom of the receipt so the employee doesn't just tell you it, which forces you have to make a purchase first

Yelp
Delicious everything Ube!!! Great seating and clean. Very spacious and A/C is perfect!!! The staff are fast and ready to give your items quickly. Also, if you have questions on the menu they are able to answer questions and give suggestions.
google avatar

Yelp
I finally found a coffee spot with a couch to just chill out in. These places seem to be disappearing. The drinks were extremely tasty as well. The service was really friendly and answered all my questions...which I had several. I'm already looking forward to coming back. Also, I love Darth Vader welcoming you into the store!!!

Yelp
We were craving Halo Halo and what better place than cafe 86 which is next door from Matiki so after lunch we went there. Oh so we were disappointed, nothing special for over $10, nothing but boba and jello and it's not even taste like ube at all. Magnolia in seafood city in Maryland is way, way better.

Yelp
Always great to get a little Filipino inspired dessert. Sometimes they'll sell out because everything seems to be baked fresh daily.

Yelp
I stopped in because a coworker recommend this spot. I'm so glad he did. It was worth the drive. I tried 4 things and they all tasted amazing. The Ube cashew brownie wasn't the normal brownie texture, it's definitely denser. The cashew/ ube flavor doesnt compete with one another, its very balanced. The Ube Bread Pudding, i could eat this dessert daily. It doesn't have the sponge like texture that most bread pudding does. It's more compact and the flavor has the island touch. I didnt get ice cream on top because I was taking it home but they do offer you that option. The Ube cookies are very light, airy and crumble easy. The powdered sugar makes them extra sweet but also extra tasty and pretty. I got the pack of 4 cookies that came with a hibiscus tea. Price point is more appealing and now I have some to share at work. The service was pretty simple... turn n burn style but still very friendly. They were pretty packed for 4pm but it definitely has a lounge, hang out vibe. This place would be amazing for a quick cute date spot, a spot to catch up with friends, a coworker "outing". They have a lot of seating. For these 3 items; 4 pack of cookies with tea, 1 small brownie, and 1 medium bread pudding I did pay $30. So it's not the cheapest spot but we'll worth it. Open 11:30 -8pm and till 9pm on Fri n Sat.

Just M.

Yelp
Definitely a place to come try if you're craving for anything ube! They're upside down halo-halo is a fav especially on a hot summer day in vegas!

Yelp
Absolutely poor customer service. I came here 5 minutes til closing and the doors were locked. Lights were on and the staff just stared at me through the glass. There was another patron outside who told me he got here 4 minutes prior to me and informed me that the door was already locked when he got there. If you're going to close at 8, close at 8. If you're going to close early or take last calls for orders at 7:45pm or 7:30pm then state it on your website or at least put a notification on your door that you may close early due to slow service or running out of items. I drove from afar and we even tried to call and use their order online system to order ahead and it wasn't working. Absolutely disappointing.

Yelp
Omg the ube tres leche is heavenly and my favorite. The service was friendly. The ambiance warm. I ordered almost everything. Great presentation. The other desserts were good but not as good as the ube tres leche.

Yelp
Out standing service. Drinks are outstanding. Had cheese cake and chocolate cup cake outstanding. A lot of Star Wars decor.

Yelp
Service - 5: The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and recommended her personal favorites. Corn con melo butter cake: 5/5 if you like corn desserts. Good texture. Ube and flan cupcake: 5/5 not too sweet. There's a bakery that makes an entire cake like this where I live, and it's much too sweet there. Ube truffle: VERY sweet, but still 5/5 because I know people like that. My best friend definitely would. Flavor is excellent, especially with the Oreo crumble. Ube poptart: 4/5 pretty dry inside and out. Maybe I just don't love pop tarts. Ube tres leches: I haven't tried this yet, but if the trend continues, I'm sure it's excellent!! Edit: it was delicious! The cashews are blended into the cream which gives it a nice, thick texture! 5/5 Very glad I randomly stopped by in here after going to the gym! Thankfully, I do not live in Vegas or uh, I might need to buy a new wardrobe.
google avatar

Bailey D.

Yelp
no sense of urgency! I asked for light boba and i got regular amount of boba... on top of that it doesn't even taste good. It's hard and has little to no flavor. I ordered the ube milk tea and it taste like cleaning materials, my bf also ordered the coffee mt and he says it taste like water.
google avatar

Shantel M.

Yelp
Came here for some dessert after having dinner right next door. Love how this cafe has regular chairs with tables and couch to relax. A great place if you're looking to study, chill and get some food desserts. Ordered the upside down Halo Halo. Never thought I would love this place and it would taste so good. Makes me want to come back for more and try their other items.
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
I am very disappointed in their services. I placed an order online and when I got there to pick up the order the girl said they were still working on it-Which is ok. I waited 20 min more and then went up to the counter again. The guy had my order ready but never called out my name or order number. My ube matcha drink was watered down because the ice had already melted. The ube truffle was very good. I recommend to place your order there instead of online.
google avatar

Marina H.

Yelp
Ube heaven!!!! If you haven't been here, you're kissing out!!! My favorites are the ube butter bar and crinkle cookies... The first time I tried their ube latte today and it's delicious!!! Our server was kind enough to explain to us that she can add extra ube but still have double shots of espresso... you should try it!!!!
google avatar

Lisa E.

Yelp
Very spacious cafe with a wide range of ube drinks and snacks. Even though I'm not a huge fan of ube, I love their upside down halo halo. They have a lot of Star Wars decorations. Plenty of parking in the complex.
google avatar

Montse S.

Yelp
Stopped here after having omakase next door. They are definitely a Filipino kid's dream bakery, all family party favorites are creatively turned to something else. Our favorite was the toron pop tart, so flaky and delicious, wonderful interpretation. They have a lot of seating in the restaurant but they get busy so keep that in mind. There are also savory items on the menu to keep everyone happy. I'm excited to return for a specialty late!
google avatar

Ernest M.

Yelp
Good quality place here. They have a chains in southern california as well. Food: the drink i go twas the ube milk tea with lychee. Good quality drink, nothing out of the ordinary. Yummy. Service: came during dinner time, no wait and plenty of desserts to see and to choose from. Cafe 86 loves their ube desserts variations. Ambiance: today was a may fourth, on a saturday. There was some small businesses selling merchant small goods. This place is perfect next to matiki hawaiian foods, get something sweet after something heavy!
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
Hip, playful, lots of Uber-inspired desserts and drinks. Friendly service. Nutella Latte was nicely flavored. Ube flan likewise was good, not overly sweet. A nice place to grab a snack.

Leila T.

Yelp
We've been to Cafe 86 twice now, and both times we ordered the regular Halo-Halo -- hands down, the best Halo-Halo we've ever had! Everything in the cup is delicious, perfectly balanced, and so refreshing. You can't forget about their interior either -- super cute and cozy! We'll definitely be coming back for more this hot summer!
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Free WiFi, cute atmosphere, great natural lighting, couches for photo ops and yummy food and drinks! I got the cookie butter latte which wasn't too sweet (perfect for my preference!) and the Ube pop tarts were to die for! Drinks came out quick and pastries were fresh! Truly an Ube heaven for all Ube lovers! Shocked I hadn't heard of this place before! Will definitely be recommending to all my friends that live in the area!

Yelp
I tried Cafe 86 for the first time yesterday evening. First, the AC wasn't working and it was too hot inside. However, the guys at the counter were friendly and worked to get everyone's orders done. I am very particular when it comes to being able to taste ube. Overall I was disappointed in most of the goods we tried. 1. Ube crinkle cookies: soft, chewy texture, not too sweet and subtle ube flavor that works for this item. So far, it's the only ube crinkle cookie in Vegas I would eat again. 2. Ube butter bar: very bland and really needs more flavor, filling was creamy and crust was buttery. 3. Ube truffle: ube flavor is subtle and could use more, however it's the oreo coating that conflicts with ube flavor. In my opinion, the combination of chocolate and ube do not work well together. 4. Ube leche flan cupcake: cupcake was moist with ube flavor and leche flan tasted decent. However, I don't prefer eating both together. I think the cupcake should stand alone (maybe a light ube glaze or a thin layer of whipped cream cheese frosting). 5. Ube pop tart: Bland and lacks enough ube flavor. The pastry was good, flaky. 6. Hibiscus tea was refreshing, flavorful and I would drink this again. I'm not sure if I would try any other items considering most of the baked goods were lacking in ube flavor. I love supporting Filipino businesses and hope Cafe 86 can tweak their items.
google avatar

Joyce C.

Yelp
Presentation is good however the taste is bland, ice is melted, bland not enough ingredients.. What a disappointment, the regular halo halo taste like water with a little coffee, then the upside down one is bland also,. we were so excited because of the reviews, but this is not worth the money. the girl who helped me is nice though, cafe is nice ..
google avatar

J T.

Yelp
Best halo halo my Mom and I have ever tasted... Really nice staff too! Definitely coming back!
google avatar

Trisha V.

Yelp
Literally the only place I love the way they make the Halo-halo and the only location that has so many baked good options! They offered a birthday credit here and I made sure I redeemed it, but I don't like the fact you can only redeem it on your actually birthdate. I had to get all my faves, Halo-halo, Ube truffle which is to die for, and Flan cupcakes, and not to mention the Chocolate Coffee Crunch! I can literally stock up on pastries and drinks and have it all week! There's so many good options, almost like going to a Filipino Porto's, they are definitely in that range. Of course not as big but quality-wise in what they offer is high level. One of my favorite cafe spots for sure!
google avatar

Kelsey S.

Yelp
OHHHH MY WORD!!! I knew it would be good because of the other reviews and I wish still blown away! The upside down halo halo isn't overly sweet so you can actually enjoy the whole thing. I could have eaten an entire pan of the flan alone. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the cereal but it was perfect. The butter bar was also wonderful. The texture is dense but very smooth. It is so well balanced and not overly sweet. Service was wonderful. The woman taking my order was helpful and kind.
google avatar

Mara K.

Yelp
If you love UBE this is the place to be... you'll find all of your ube cravings satisfied here. My fav was the cookies and the cheesecake! There are also other desserts and drinks! If you order the cookies it comes with a hisbiscus tea. So delicious
google avatar

Hoa T.

Yelp
I was so excited to try Cafe 86 when I saw there was a location in Las Vegas since the other location I knew was in California! I'm assuming this cafe was named after the famous Toyota AE86 if you are into cars, you know this car is a beauty! First time walking inside, the lighting was very dim and the interior was clean and I like how they showcase the desserts that you can buy and try! Service here was good, workers were nice and took our orders right away. My girlfriend and I were craving some Halo Halo and we were able to try their upside Halo Halo and it was delicious! The Ube ice cream that was blended in there was delicious and all the toppings on the bottom was delicious! I also tried their Jasmine Calamansi drink and that was refreshing, it wasn't too sweet and you can really taste both Jasmine and calamansi flavor and none of the flavor overpowered each other! Lastly, there was so many Filipino influence dessert from the case and what caught my eyes were the Turon & Ube Poptart! That is such a great idea and eye catchers for anyone who comes in Cafe86! And you know I had to try each of them! They both were delicious and I can't wait to come back here next time I visit Las Vegas or California.
google avatar

Yelp
UBE HEAVEN!!! If you're ever craving ube anything - this is the spot!! The upside down ube halo halo is a dream. I come here all the time when I need my ube fix. Staff is always welcoming and super nice. Cool spot to hang out or even do some work!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun Filipino Bakery off of Jones! Decadent HaloHalo and a variety of other scrumptious treats! Great space, perfect for a meetup with a friend or a party with many friends or family! Service was great! Friendly, timely and polite! Let's go Vegas!
google avatar

Viviana R.

Yelp
I love coming here for a dessert. Their halo halo is my favorite. I love the combination of all the different ingredients that gets added, very unique. Service is quick and it is a nice spot to hang out n just chit chat
google avatar

Ruth S.

Yelp
03/09/24 this place never fails when it comes to their upside down halo halo. So good. I ordered their ube bread pudding and it came with a choice of vanilla or one ice cream. We got the vanilla ice cream. Besides the ube cheesecake this was actually my fave now. Yes, slightly pricey dessert but it's good. Service was good and the place remains clean. Happy sweet eats!!
google avatar

Kyla R.

Yelp
I tried this place through my friends about 2 years ago because they brought their desserts to class. This is my first time coming to their store. I ordered their Ube Leche Flan Cupcakes and it was so delicious. I wish I ordered their Ube Cheesecake because I remember eating it for the first time and I fell in love with it. They offer different variety of drinks and filipino desserts to choose from. Service was great. There was only one person working in the front and I give her props. This is a great place to study since they have many seats open. I'll definitely be coming back to try their drinks and get my ube cheesecake.
google avatar

Kay D.

Yelp
I don't mind eating this as a gift but as a customer its too expensive and a little too sweet. I expect their prices to go up in the future. $50 for a dozen ube flan is crazy.

Nona C.

Yelp
I drove across town this weekend to try this place out, cause I had it in Northern Cali. and I love it. Finding out that there is one here in Vegas, so I went to the store and had the kinda like farmer's market inside their restaurant , interesting but that wasn't the issue. I came across this lady that was helping me looking so tired that wanna go home and I have been asking her question about the product , She is annoyed. So after a few pasties that I got in the bag , I saw a plate at the counter with use crinkle and ube cashew brownies. So I add the brownies to my order. I notice she didn't pick it up from the plate but instead I saw her got it from underneath already boxed up. When I tried it . OMG , it;s hard as a rock and so stale.. Thanks a lot for this experience you gave me . I will never come back to your store,
google avatar

Mark C.

Yelp
Their halo halo are my favorite. They make everything Ube from drinks to pastries. I also like the Ube cupcake and have yet to try the crinkle cookies. They also like a cafe.
google avatar

Gretel Y.

Yelp
Ube-by, baby! I died and went to ube heaven. Heard about Cafe 86 from a few friends a while ago, so had to check it out when I was in Vegas. Cafe 86 is located in a shopping strip, so parking is plentiful. The space is big, bright, and open. Tons of seating, and seems like a good place for working. Cafe 86 specializes in ube pastries and drinks. I love ube and could have easily gotten one of everything. Narrowing down my options to four was tough, but decided on an ube butter bar, ube leche flan cupcake, ube truffle, and ube crinkle. I also got an ube latte. Everything was excellent, it's difficult to pick a favorite. Really enjoyed all of them! The latte was great, too. I hope they open one in Phoenix! I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Vegas.
google avatar

Arev M.

Yelp
Nice place with somehow cool decoration. The car that was drawn on the chalkboard was really my favorite thing at the cafe. The service was somehow quick. The servers were nice but not seemed very welcoming.. Coming to the coffee, I really did not like it. All I tasted was water and a burnt taste without the coffee. I specifically asked my coffee to be made with almond milk, not sure actually if it was, I didn't taste it as well and I assume since I had rash after a while so it was not made with almond. My friend had the same opinion about the taste, she also tasted the bitterness of the burnt coffee. Unfortunately, we really thought that it was not good compared to the price. I was excited about trying Café 86. But I'm not sure if I should try again.... maybe I will have a better experience with a drink that has no coffee and hopefully update my review
google avatar

Yelp
Ube truffles is the shit!!!! Worth every penny, can't get enough of them! They got all kinds of other things Ube too. A must place to go when wanting Ube.

Yelp
It's been a while since we were at Cafe 86! So glad to see that the place still looks good. Their Ube Monster and Halo-Halo taste just as great as I remembered it. If you haven't been here, they have lots of seating options - good for 1, a couple, a group of 4 or more and they had bar stools by the window too. Their prices are reasonable! I am only giving them 4 stars because when the lady gave us our drinks, she didn't use a napkin when holding my spoon. She also dropped it on the counter and just put it back on top of the drink instead of giving me a new one. I had to get a new one. Covid traumatized me for sure.
