"The brick-and-mortar location of this former food truck is located in Columbus Park, a historic neighborhood heavily influenced by Vietnamese-American immigrants. This spot instantly stands out with its mural of a dragon on the building exterior, while inside is bright and full of wall art that makes you feel like you’ve walked into a friendly art classroom. Definitely order the Hella Good, which dubs itself “The New Purple Drank” and is made with Vietnamese Coffee, sweetened condensed milk, and violet ube syrup. And be sure to check out whatever pastries they have, which get delivered daily from local Vietnamese bakeries. Just know the lattes and coffee are extremely strong—you might find yourself with the caffeine shakes while you’re sending a weekend work email." - Ryan Bernsten

I have been dying to try this place but it is way across town for me. It was well worth the trip. I got “The Mind Latte” a mushroom concoction with mushroom cold foam. This is unique, creative and tasty. The whole vibe is awesome. I am so happy I made the trip. I will be back.

What a cool cafe and shop! I'm not a coffee drinker but someone recommended the Purple Dragon (on their non-coffee menu) and it was absolutely delicious! We tried a couple of their donuts that were fresh and tasty, too. They have some great products to shop along the wall. Definitely worth stopping in and trying!

My husband and I enjoyed Cafe Cà Phê on our visit on Sunday! The line was out the door but moved quickly. The employees were on top of it, even with a huge crowd and we got our drinks quickly. The menu was super fun and we couldn’t decide on just one, so we got two each to sample. I had the Dragon and the Hella Good and both were great! The drink options here are unique and offer lots of fun combinations. The food truck across the street was sold out of almost everything so we will be back to sample some of the food 🤍

It was my first time ever coming here. I came because I saw on social media recently the location was the subject of some vandalism. So I decided to come out and show my support. The store is small but the vibes are immaculate. The interior design really highlights the cultural lense the coffee shop operates through. They are POC and woman owned and operated. The drink choices are super unique and all delicious , I ordered the Hella Good, a Vietnamese Espresso beverage made with Ube syrup, oat milk and condensed milk drizzle. The Dirty Thai-ger, which is the insanely delicious love chai-ld, of Vietnamese iced Coffee, and Thai Iced tea. The Merry Matcha, which is their love letter to a holiday classic flavor of white chocolate and peppermint, married with a fantastic matcha. The one that stole the show for me was the Mango Sticky Rice Latte. My first sip had me like 🤩😍🥰 it's witch craft how much they made that latte taste exactly like mango sticky rice. If you've never been, please make your way here. Hands down some of the most creative and delicious coffee spots in all of Kansas City. It may top my list as my new favorite, especially for being such a third space for so many minorities including proudly supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. If you're gonna support local coffee, make your way to Columbus Park and grab a coffee. You won't be disappointed.

Stopped in on my visit to KC and it was well worth it. My wife got the Saigon coffee, I got the Paris by Night. Both amazing! Oh and do yourself a favor and grab a cookie butter cheesecake from the cooler. I will be back!

Google
Great drinks. Unique flavors and comfortable inside seating. There are tables and a couch. Two gender neutral bathrooms. They sell merch and coffee beans too. Speciality coffee drinks end up around $8.5 each. Tried the Ube drink called hella good. And the mango sticky rice drink. They’re both good. Heavy on the milk didn’t taste the coffee much but good overall. They have vegan dairy free options. Street parking isn’t hard to find. A nice viet restaurant down the block too.

Google
Helpful staff discussed drinks and made recommendations, Super quick service I didn’t even sit down. Calm vibe. Patrons and staff were patient and welcoming to me and my 5yo autistic son. A gentleman on the blue couch humored him playing catch with a pillow. A couple let him pet their doggies. I wish I lived closer.

I absolutely LOVE this coffee shop. One of my favs in the whole city! Delicious and unique drinks, super cute atmosphere, lovely staff. You have to try it!!! (Highly recommend the dirty mailman 😋)

Yelp
I think I've found my favorite coffee shop in the nation right here at Cafe Cà Phê. Their creative menu sets them apart from any coffee shop I've been to with choices like a spicy mocha mixed with Vietnamese espresso and even more creatively named Paris by Night (IYKYK) and a Mango Sticky Rice latte which was to die for. We were coming up from Texas on our way up north for the holidays and we stopped here right before the holidays. The line was pretty long and I almost turned back around to the car. Thankfully, I stayed in line and it moved fairly quickly. I ordered the Paris by Night for my husband, but they were out of sesame milk so we subbed it for oat milk and I ordered the Mango Sticky Rice latte for myself. They were so good, I mean, SO GOOD! We came back on our way back to Texas and this time we ordered the Dirty Thai-ger and Mango Sticky Rice latte. We loved it the second time, too, and I've been craving it from Texas ever since.

Yelp
Came here at a good time as it was National Coffee Day so they gave discount for the drinks. We ended up trying three drinks! I enjoyed the ube and the spicy one, it had a nice kick to it. The other one wasn't as refreshing as we expected but it was still okay. Service was quick and the inside was nice and cozy.

Yelp
Cafe Ca Phe sets a new standard for a small business. The regular menu is well crafted and every time time they expand it- whether it's adding teas, refreshers, or seasonal items- I am satisfied with the new additions. Amazing vibes, the owner is a lovely person and it shows in how happy the employees are (seriously refreshing to see these days!). Make sure to follow them on instagram because they're constantly having small business popups and hosting events. They're on their way to being a real community stronghold in Kansas City! (p.s. the bathroom is really cool)

Phoenix N.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops in KC! The shop is woman and asian-owned, always supporting local businesses and vendors, and they are a true pillar in the community. I always the the Saigon to drink! It's delicious and is the perfect balance between sweet and bitter. The ambiance inside is always very chill and lovely. There are several places to sit and a showcase of different items from local vendors that make great gifts. Love this place so much!

Stephanie K.

Yelp
One of the things I love most about traveling to different cities is finding awesome spots like this one! Before heading to Kansas City, I did a little research on coffee places, and Cafe Ca Phe popped up on my radar. It's not every day that you come across Asian-owned coffee shops in St. Louis, so I was excited to see several in KC. As a supporter of small businesses, especially Asian-owned ones, I just had to stop by! Who can resist classic Vietnamese coffee--especially when it's combined with ube? It was absolutely delightful! I ordered their Hella Good drink, and it exceeded my expectations. They also have a range of non-coffee beverages and seasonal or holiday specials that sound amazing. I'm really wishing I lived in Kansas City so I could try them all!

Lou K.

Yelp
Loved the tasty coffee and chill vibe of this wonderful Asian owned coffee shop. Specializing in Vietnamese coffee and tea, this is the perfect place to get a little caffeine in your day. From the moment I walked in I had a great experience. I was greeted by a friendly barista who created a delicious coffee for me. I tried the Dirty Thai-ger. It was a a blend of of Vietnamese espresso and traditional Thai iced tea. Absolutely loved it! I cannot wait to try more!

Andrew K.

Yelp
They are so on their game. Very welcoming, great decor and general vibes, and kind staff. The only question is, are the drinks good? Yes. Yes, they are. Congrats to the team. Fantastic work. Looking forward to next time.

Linda P.

Yelp
Our new favorite coffee shop. I don't love drinking coffee but Vietnamese coffee is a favorite of mine and this place is amazing. So many unique flavors to choose from. The drink I got, mango sticky rice coffee, was so good. The aesthetics are so fun. Cool mural outside. Service was quick. Loved it and will be back when we are in town again

Michael K.

Yelp
I used to love their coffee when they were doing pop-ups. The menu was straightforward, featuring Vietnamese iced coffee and ube coffee, both reasonably priced and delicious. My visit today was disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I'm all in for supporting local businesses. However, charging $7.50 for a coffee feels excessive, even considering inflation. At that price, I expected top-notch quality, but what I got was a watered-down drink. The espresso flavor was almost nonexistent, there was way too much-condensed milk, and cheap quality matcha. Perhaps if they enhance the quality of their coffee, I might come back later, but until then I'll stay with other local coffee places.

Sammi K.

Yelp
I'm not from KC so I have only been able to try the Purple Dragon, but I have nothing but good things to say about it. I already had a cup of coffee in the morning so I didn't want to get all jittery with a second cup and decided to opt for the coffee-less Purple Dragon - Vanilla, Ube, and Oatmilk! As someone who's lactose intolerant and loves purple, this felt like the perfect drink for me. And it was! Very strong Ube flavor and the right amount of sweetness. Sadly, I won't be back to try it again any time soon. I may just have to try and make this myself at home for now. If I ever get the chance to visit Cafe Cà Phê again, I'd love to try out their interesting and innovative Asian-inspired seasonal flavors!

Fiona Z.

Yelp
I got an iced purple dragon this visit which tasted so milky with maybe a 1/10 ube flavor level. I literally only come here when my friends insist on going because this place is such a letdown despite the vibes. (See previous, older review.)

Jolene M.

Yelp
Kansas City's first Vietnamese coffee house. Service is fast and friendly. Loved the relaxed vibes. The summer menu has great options but you gotta try the Hellagood.

Jermaine R.

Yelp
Went here today for the first time. It was was busy but my coffee came out quick. I had got the Hella Good coffee and Ube muffin both were so good and aesthetically pleasing. I will definitely be back as there were other drinks I want to try as well.

Stephanie N.

Yelp
This was recommended by a few friends and this was a super cool little coffee shop! Walking in, there was a lot of Vietnamese culture showcased - with the writings, menu items, decor, etc. It is beautiful. My friend mentioned in the passing that it was my birthday and the barista surprised me with the coffee art shown in the photo! They are personable and attentive!! I got the "Hella Good" which was one of the best lattes I've ever had! The ube added a really nice earthy aroma to the coffee and it was not too sweet. I'm definitely excited to try the other items on the menu!!

Steph H.

Yelp
Drinks- This place is one of my favorite places to get coffee. I love hella good, mango sticky rice, and rabbit candy drink. Service- the service is great and fast. Atmosphere/place- its a cute cafe, but it is quite small so space there is limited. The bathrooms are very clean. The only thing I don't like is the area and the parking. Sometimes it's hard to find parking!

Nancy C.

Yelp
Can't say enough great things about this place!! Coffee drinks are delicious, unique, and filled with caffeine! Staff are more than willing to explain the drinks, give recommendations, and check in to see how you like it. The music, atmosphere, and neighborhood is a total vibe in and of itself. What a wonderful addition to Kansas City!

Yelp
This is the second time I've been to Cafe Ca Phe, and I really wanted to give it a second chance. I'm giving it a 4 star based on the other aspects that lift it up, but taste wise, I'd give them a 3. Let's talk about the pros first. I love this coffee shop mission and ideology. I love how it supports Vietnamese grown coffee, how they buy beans straight from Nguyen Coffee Supply, and how they've been collaborated with the Nguyen Coffee Supply's CEO. The marketing and artwork design is fantastic - I love the logos, the name, the branding, and the work that's gone into all of it. Huge shout-out to the team behind the scenes and their social media pages, and the big emphasis on coffee and its cultural connection to Vietnam. All the drink ideas itself are super cool, and I love how unique the specialty drinks are. The coffee shop itself is cozy. There's enough seating if you need to stop by and get some work done, and the aesthetic is thoughtful. There's some merch that you can buy as well, along with coffee gear and coffee beans. Now, about the coffee. The first time I came, I got the Mango Sticky rice coffee. Maybe I just don't like alternative milk, because the oat milk and coconut condensed milk were not complementary in my opinion. The mango syrup was fine, but if I were to go again, I'd try this and request whole milk, with normal condensed milk. The second drink I tried here was the Paris by night. Same problem - sesame milk as the alternative milk just tasted off. I was hoping for a nice, creamy texture to the drink, but I don't think the sesame milk was providing that. Cayenne syrup - definitely added a noticeable spicy kick to the drink which was interesting, but not necessarily my fav. And then finally, the cinnamon - I wish the milk had been steeped in cinnamon sticks and then strained, because there was visible cinnamon specks/clumps in my drink, which made the drink taste gritty overall. Again, 4 stars for the overall concept, 3 stars for actual flavor. I'd love to come back and give it another shot - maybe third time's the charm.

Sana K.

Yelp
Amazing Vietnamese coffee!! Super cute inside. Inclusive and diverse. Minority owned and local artist vendors. Gender neutral restrooms themed with home alone in one and mirrors in the other. I got the one with ube and it was so good. Great service.

Laura K.

Yelp
Stopped by again and stumbled across a Lao Food 'Truck' Pop-Up outside! This was so delicious and unique - I'd definitely recommend checking out their Instagram to stay up-to-date on upcoming food related events like this one. As for the drinks -- great as always :)

Robynn 'Pebblez' S.

Yelp
Coffee: I got the electric speciality coffee. Described as Very strong, very sweet, and very electric. Slap yo mama lit. Vietnamese espresso, oat milk, cardamom + vanilla syrup, condensed milk drizzle and ice. I honestly couldn't say it any different , the (very's) I would take out because the coffee wasn't too overpowering. It was good coffee and honestly nothing like I've ever tasted before. It was packed with flavor and all around good. The aesthetic of the coffee shop was really cute, appealing & electric like my drink. Easy street parking & friendly helpful staff. The music was a vibe as soon as I walked in. I stayed inside to read my book, initially the music was at a good volume then they turned it up so I wasn't able to enjoy my book as much. So I just took care of some of things instead. To give some insight on space there were creatives in there, someone else reading a book, a girl getting help with her lsats and someone on there computer zoned in. I came on a Sunday a little before 1:30 and it was kinda of crowded some ppl were seated as groups but then groups of ppl came in together. I beat the rush so my coffee came out pretty quickly. It was constant ppl coming & going. I sat on the cozy read couch with the cool pillows. They had some small business items for sale I got a cute enamel pin that read a little bit dramatic by soulful_acc. I definitely will be back my coffee was so good it made me want to try matcha next, a few ppl told me it was a must try along with hella good a cute purple drink. Until next time Cafe Caphe

Jennie L.

Yelp
Authentic Vietnamese coffee with a modern twist. The Paris by night is probably my favorite since it's strong but also has a bite to it. I was looking forward to the golden excellence (not coffee) because it's salted lemonade but it tasted just like lemonade. Definitely sticking to the coffee drinks cause they are using coffee beans sourced from VN so you can get the robusta and arabica notes. The service was very quick and helpful. The store itself is very cozy and decorative. What I really enjoyed seeing is the South Vietnamese flag on the wall, really brings comfort to my soul. Will be back for more coffee!

Raymart D.

Yelp
Asian and locally-owned Vietnamese coffee shop that brings together the community in Kansas City. That is what Cafe Ca Phe is about and I'm so glad they exist. They specialize in Asian flavors in their drinks like matcha, pandan and ube and use Vietnamese beans from Nguyen Coffee Supply, which got its start in New York City, my previous residence. I love that they specialize in the Vietnamese phin drip for their drinks because you get a bold cup of coffee if you drink it straight up. They're known for their special drinks which include the Saigon, the classic Vietnamese-style iced coffee with condensed milk and probably my favorite drink off the menu after the Hella Good which has ube. The special drinks usually have multiple ingredients and syrups so they can be pricy. They also have classic coffee drinks just so you're not pressured to get those. Jackie Nguyen has done her hard work to make the cafe a space to include and promote other small businesses too. Truly a treasure and you can tell her staff love and support her because she has fostered a warm, inclusive culture, whatever your background. I do my best to support the small businesses as a customer and it is amazing how much Cafe Ca Phe has done in the amount of time I've been in Kansas City. Now go get a drink. Happy drinking and remember: Don't deny, satisfy!

Sabrina S.

Yelp
I have been coming here since the very start and have always loved the culture and atmosphere cafe ca phe provides. The drinks are always rotating with new items and the owner is always providing local business pop ups inside her store to support other KC businesses. The iced Saigon with a mochi donut will forever be my favorite go to on a summer day!

Natalie G.

Yelp
The vibes and the coffee here are 10/10. They offer a wide range of coffee (and non-coffee) drinks, allowing you to stay in your comfort zone OR try something new. There is seating options or you can pop-in to order your drink to go. The service is always so friendly and they've always made our orders in a timely fashion. I highly recommend swinging by Cafe Cà Phê, it's a wonderful spot with delish coffee!

Kara W.

Yelp
What a cool hangout spot! Been bragging about this to my husband since I stopped in last week with a friend.

Grace T.

Yelp
Cafe Ca Phe is good, but expensive. Like, more expensive than Starbucks. But if you want to support a locally-owned, woman-owned, Asian-owned cafe, AND you have the moolah in your wallet, then by all means! In addition, the owner has done a lot to champion other small businesses in the KC area and hosts a yearly AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) event in KC. I really enjoy The Mind, which has Vietnamese espresso, honey, chagaccino mushroom blend (not that I know what that does at all), and oat milk. It is reaaaallly tasty. I'm someone that also enjoys the Honeycomb at the Roasterie if that provides any kind of reference point. Would I go back? Absolutely!! Street parking can be a bit hard to find at times, but if you're willing to walk a block either way from the cafe, you should be able to find a decent spot.

JR H.

Yelp
I love this place for so many reasons. Just a heads up and some feedback though - if you are in the sugar-restricted/low-carb diet category, this place is tough unless you like tea and black coffee. None of the alternative dairy options are unsweetened. They advertise a mushroom latte as "sugar free/keto" and I'm here to tell you this is absolutely false as it includes not just *honey* but the oat milk in it is -you guessed it- sweetened. I wish I could avail of the delicious syrups and sweetened coconut creamed drinks but alas it's espresso or nothing, here. 3 stars for false advertising of "The Mind" mushroom latte.

Elena M.

Yelp
I lived in the OC near little Saigon in California for many years so I've had my share of Vietnamese coffee. I love Vietnamese coffee so I was really hoping that this would be my place! Unfortunately the coffee tasted burnt. My husband had the Hella Morada and added a shot of espresso and my daughter had the merry matcha. The ube tasted good but once the espresso hit your taste buds it was pretty bad. He didn't finish his drink. My daughter wanted me to tell you that the matcha tasted good. She loves peppermint so she liked it. We will be back to this place to give it another opportunity. We loved the vibe and the staff was friendly. They collaborate with local vendors which I think is pretty cool.

Mikaela G.

Yelp
Drinks are delish! Fun space for all people. Support Asian businesses. The drink menu is fun and creative. They also have great pop-ups!

Mimi N.

Yelp
Cafe exterior and interior are beautifully decorated! It's evident the team worked real hard to make this space inviting while paying homage to Vietnamese culture. Came on two separate occasions and was met with great service both times. Got the Saigon which did not taste like traditional viet coffee but was still strong. The ube latte was strong too but was super sweet and felt overloaded with syrup. Hoping to give the cafe another shot. Overall, the coffee did the job but was not what I was expecting for Vietnamese coffee.

Ian E.

Yelp
I've been a fan since Cafe Ca Phe was mobile in the camper. Now I enjoy it even more with the brick and mortar location. I've always enjoyed the Saigon, iced or hot depending on the season. For a "no-nonsense I just need the caffeine" coffee order, I think they make best tasting espresso shot in KC.

Gita B.

Yelp
Enjoyed trying this Vietnamese coffee joint in KC! Lots of unique flavors to pick from. I got the iced Hella Good. Visually- very appealing. However, the ube really didn't come through. A light flavor like this is overpowered by the strength of espresso. I'd love to try a different flavor, or stick to tea when combined with some of these amazing tropical treats. The cost is a major downside. I paid nearly $9 with tip for a small iced coffee.

Marissa S.

Yelp
Visited Cafe Cà Phê when they first opened up their pop-up location in the west bottoms! Being the first Vietnamese coffee shop in KC, I hadn't experienced the delicious, authentic, flavors of Vietnamese coffee before. My iced latte was smooth, decadent, and tied in flavors I've never tried before. We paired our drinks with the unlikely combo of hot Cheetos which somehow works really well. Its been incredible to witness what the owners have done with their shop, and beyond. From introducing Vietnamese culture to KC, to promoting and inspiring other small business-owners throughout the kc metro/community, and just absolutely flourishing in general. I'm so excited for their second location to officially open up in West Bottoms.

Christopher B.

Yelp
Cafe Cà Phê is the perfect way to start any day. This Vietnamese coffee show has a great vibe and even better atmosphere. While adding a sparkle to the community, this place serves up some bangin brew. My group all ordered different beverages and they were all super delicious. I'm not a coffee drinker so I was happy to see the "Not Coffee" menu. Vietnamese Hot Chocolate was something I never knew I needed. I also had a tasty donuts so be sure to try those! Staff was also extremely friendly and helped with my indecisive decision making. Overall I think this place is a gem for the city of KC. It's a welcoming environment for everyone who enjoys a hot (or cold) beverage. Excited to see this place grow and the owners/community prosper.

Dan P.

Yelp
Fire!!! Got in super early and needed some Java and a lil snack. Ambiance is dope, local art and jewelry for sale, slick stickers for sale.... can't wait to be back!!!

Nancy L.

Yelp
Finally a place that serves Vietnamese coffee! I first heard of Cafe Ca Phe through social media and visited when they had their "pop ups" at West Bottoms. Now they have a store (how exciting!!!) I love how when you walk in you're greeted by friendly staff and they have a section in the shop of different items for sale from other local business in KC. Everything is def instagram worthy ;) Whenever I go to Cafe Ca Phe I will either get the Purple Dragon or Golden Excellence. I hope in the future they add some lemonade/tea options!

Allie C.

Yelp
What's not to love!? An inclusive, impeccably colorful, infinitely unique coffeeshop is truly special in its own right. If you're looking for new and exciting flavors to tickle your fancy, this is the place to be! I adore how bold and well-branded it is from the moment you see the building - a huge and colorful mural adorns the side and, stepping in, you can see how much they love what they do in their community. I had SUCH a hard time choosing just one drink (perhaps one day they will offer drink flights for the "one of everything please" people... *wishful thinking*). All of them sound incredible and have delicious flavors like ube, pandan, and black sesame. Some of the lattes are also made with sesame milk, which is super creamy with an almost savory-sweet quality and oh-so good - definitely a unique offering compared to most coffee shops. In the end, my partner and I got a Good Fortune and a Moon Cake latte, as well as ube and cinnamon sugar Mochi donuts. Everything was wonderful, fragrant and bursting with flavor. The donuts had the most pleasant chewy mochi texture. They offer a few other pastries that I'll have to try next time, like a matcha strawberry cake! The sun was shining, the baristas were friendly, and everything was sinfully good. I'm LIVING for this vibe and for Cafe Ca Phe, I will definitely be back to try every freaking thing on this menu!

Joe K.

Yelp
I have been looking to this visit for a long time. I had heard amazing things about the shop and the owner's story from friends so I felt pride to support local and enjoy some tasty items from their eclectic menu. I ordered the electric cold, moon pie hot coffee, and Asian pear tea. The electric and moon pie were very interesting and felt like I had to keep sipping on it to break down all the flavors. The pear tea was okay. It felt like a Starbucks refresher but it was a good palate cleanser as I went back to coffee. The matcha donut was awesome and sweet to satisfy my sweet tooth. The ube muffin was not as sweet but well balanced. Had a nice crust at the top and fairly soft on the inside. I loved the environment and all the merch and accessories were really cool. I wish I had the stickers from previous pictures on people's cups but they are available for purchase. The scenery is a cool spot to hang out although they were doing construction on the roof that caused some debris to fall from the ceiling so we left but staff was addressing it immediately as we left which was good to see. Overall I had a great time and would definitely stop by to try the rest of the menu

Madison H.

Yelp
The mochi donut was SO GOOD - very chewy and doughy with a classic cookies and cream flavor. Donuts and Oreo flavor, does it get any better? Location - The location of the coffee shop isn't in the most convenient area to get to and there isn't anything else around to do, so it's out of the way off the river market. Coffee - I didn't enjoy the flavors of the coffee, it felt too far from traditional coffee for my preference and that too much was going on w the different flavors. However, my husband really enjoyed his iced coffee! Overall I give this coffee shop a 6/10.

Rachel J.

Yelp
I have heard such wonderful things about Cafe Cà Phê and I finally got to stop by. I was extremely impressed with the drink I got! I tried the Saigon and it was the perfect balance of flavors. It wasn't overly sweet which I like. The staff is very friendly and the decor is put together well. I will definitely be returning to try the other drinks and I would highly recommend checking out this coffeeshop!

Azile Y.

Yelp
2 new drink favorites... *The Mind (for the Year of the Dragon menu, so maybe it's just in 2024?) *The Madoka, on their "Not Coffee" menu Loooove this place!

Sergio S.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this coffee shop. Has amazing seasonal drinks, very vegan / dairy free accommodating. Decent seating with a new lovely patio

Julia L.

Yelp
We were in town last Friday (9/27) and stopped in for drinks. The shop is a cute eclectic space and we loved the dragons since we were here for the KC dragon boat races! We were not disappointed! The service was great - staff was friendly and patiently answered all of our questions. I don't drink coffee so I chose the Purple Dragon - it was great! My friends had a Hella Good Coffee and Dragon Coffee- both loved them.

Amy J.

Yelp
Lots of eclectic Asian fusion cafe drinks. Coffee and non coffee. Small place, always busy, friendly staff. Some pastries occasionally.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
I love coming here! They have a few seating options inside and the street is never busy. Usually can find parking right outside. I loved the Madoka so much, I was hoping to find what kind of syrup they used because the lavender is perfection. It's exactly what I'm hoping for anytime I order something with lavender. It is actually FLORAL. I've also tried Hella Good which speaks for itself--also appreciate the Bay ref They do sell *some* products in store and eventually did some digging through photos and on their website and learned much more about this woman-owned shop! The owner's story and culture bleeds well into the design of the business, the menu, and even shares her journey to opening up a permanent shop. After a few visits now, it's never been a bad experience. The staff are all very kind and they are quick to prep as well. Will continue to come in. :)

Yelp
Living in the Midwest let alone Kansas it's exciting to see Asian flavors on a coffee menu I can't emphasize that enough. It's refreshing to see. I enjoy seeing a café full of people supporting a special place The coffee was delicious and I loved the vibrant menu :) I ordered the moon cake latte and dirty thai (iced). Both yummy but I'm definitely thinking about the dirty thai still! I recommend and can't wait to try the other menu items. The interior and exterior of the cafe is beautiful!! The barista that helped us was friendly and helpful. And the service was so quick, it felt like I didn't even get to sit down before my drinks were done Definitely wish I lived closer to KC just so I could get a coffee from this place at least once a week.

Yelp
After browsing around for a good coffee shop in KC, I came across this Vietnamese coffee shop, which I was so excited about. They used Nguyen coffee, which I've been hearing great things about. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. I had the dirty thai-ger (Viet coffee and Thai tea). It was perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up. I enjoyed it; creamy and not too sweet, and I could still taste the coffee. My boyfriend had their Paris by Night. This was done right, strong, and had a good amount of heat. One minor pet peeve with Vietnamese coffee drinks is that the condensed milk is rarely stirred thoroughly. Overall this is a solid coffee shop.

Yelp
Have a moment of California breeze. The Hella Good cup tastes like a smooth treat with the TrueGrit blend, no jitters--no bs. The foam resembles melted marshmallow and tips of ocean wave poured into a heart turns into an image of an onion after a few sips. The all Asian owned company felt like a small little box on its own from the landscape of Little Italy. Inviting and harnessing the feel of San Diego. I would go back but I would Uber not walk or ride the bus. The owner Jackie is a sweetheart, but I pray she moves somewhere else. Little Italy is camouflaged with 1960 wars and dreams from Columbus Park. Minutes after exiting the establishment my tongue was saturated with the taste of human urine from the homeless that surrounds the perimeter. I'm sure the boys in blue allow the smell of strange dogs due to the lack of appreciation for proper hosting of the general public. Go in-and-out the business is deserving of business and hopefully relocation!

Yelp
The coffee is so good here. Even as a newbie, this eclectic homey feeling coffee spot is definitely part of the neighborhood and filled with regulars. They put a unique spin on their coffee drinks by using Vietnamese grown Nguyen coffee. In addition to yummy coffee, they offer Vietnamese hot chocolate, teas, sweets and snacks (I.e. hot Cheetos). Milk alternatives also available. The outside mural is IG worthy. And the staff are so friendly and welcoming. This spot is inclusive for Everybody- haters stay OUT!! If you're ever near here, it's worth popping in.
