Austin’s New Restaurant & Bar Openings - Austin - The Infatuation

"Over in the Barton Creek neighborhood (close to Bee Cave), Café Largesse is an all-day cafe and wine bar. By day, the menu features pastries from Sour Duck, housemade lunch and dinner entrees, and locally roasted coffee. By night, it’s more of a wine bar with snack-y bites." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs

‘No Seed Oil’ Restaurants Seize the Moment | Eater

"An Austin restaurant run by Olga Estrella that markets itself to people avoiding seed oils after Estrella cut them from her own diet to address PCOS-related inflammation and brain fog. The kitchen uses avocado oil, olive oil, and butter, and while the menu isn’t entirely seed-oil-free due to some vendor ingredients, the restaurant makes clear it caters to a seed-oil-free approach and has found sourcing alternatives increasingly feasible." - Jaya Saxena

This charming spot is an ideal place to work. They offer ample outlets, excellent service, and a delightful happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. During this time, you can enjoy half-priced Spanish-style pizzas. Reservations are also available. My personal favorite booth is the pink one, and there’s ample parking nearby. Shout out to Kia! Superb service!

we love cafe largesse! we’ve been for breakfast as well as dinner/happy hour. we’re obsessed and have found a spot that we will frequent often. every dish we’ve had has been excellent! you really can’t go wrong. the quality of the food is just top notch, very fresh and delicious!!! on top of that, they have amazing and tasty coffee options. the service is great, everyone is so friendly + the ambiance is so nice. can’t recommend cafe largesse enough! we recommend all the dishes we’ve had: breakfast tacos, breakfast sandwich, charcuterie board, short rib flatbread, spinach salad, maple mocha iced coffee

We stumbled upon Café Largesse near our neighborhood in the hills and were genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. What we thought would be a casual breakfast stop turned into one of the best brunch experiences we’ve had in a while. We ordered coffee, an avocado toast, and an avocado toast with an egg on top. Every element was thoughtfully prepared – fresh ingredients, beautiful plating, generous portions, and flavors that actually stood out. It felt like one of those rare moments when you realize that this place deserves a real 5-star rating – the kind that makes you rethink most other places you’ve rated the same. This is a true 10 out of 10 brunch spot. Highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional food in a welcoming, laid-back setting. We’ll absolutely be back.

I went to lunch with two coworkers to check out Cafe Largesse and we were all impressed. The cafe is super cute, our server Akia was very attentive and friendly, and the food was great! We ordered the Shortrib Coca as well as the Roasted Chicken Salad- portions were generous and the 2 entrees made a perfect lunch for the 3 of us. Akia even split the salad into three bowls without us asking which was super sweet of her! The salad was very generous with the chicken and I love that it was already tossed with dressing; the coca was great with the rich toppings, chewy flat bread, and the pop of flavor from the sauce. We were also excited to hear that they have a fantastic happy hour with half off cocas and $8 cocktails! We will be back sometime soon as our office is just 10 minutes away! There is plenty of parking and when we arrived at noon it there were only a couple of other people in the cafe, though it definitely had picked up a bit by the time we left.

Anything on the menu with shrimp is delicious and worth the trip, the Service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is vibrant. Instagram worthy interior and everything is made fresh in house. If you want a nice date night or just a change of pace from the usual downtown fare, highly recommend for couples or families.

I had a delicious breakfast sandwich that really hit the spot! It came on a perfectly toasted croissant, loaded with fluffy eggs, plenty of crispy, flavorful bacon, melted cheese, and a creamy aioli sauce that tied everything together.

Great cafe near the intersection of Barton Springs and Lost Creek. Great spot for cyclists to refuel while trying to tame this hilly region. Food and drinks are superb. Drive thru for those not ready to be seen in public.

Yelp
I've visited Cafe Largesse on two separate occasions. The first time I went for a private event where I got to try the cocas. They were sample size but quite tasty! I went a second time to bring my husband for breakfast. We shared the breakfast sandwich and smoked salmon benedict. Both were very sizable and filling. I only wished the benedict was a bit lighter since the sauce was heavy. We also got the shaken espresso which was so big we shared it. I loved the glass it came with! Service was attentive and quick! Cute date spot though a bit hidden in the neighborhood.

Yelp
The muhammara is worth a try. It's flavorful and smell delicious. The breads which come with the muhammara are nicely warm. It's a small detail, but it shows how they care about the food. The cocas are the highlight of this place. They don't go cheap on the ingredients, which explains the prices :) Overall a very nice experience. I'll be back for more.

Yelp
Tasty food and fun new spot! It waa a peaceful, cozy setting after the main dinner rush. We were greeted by the friendly employees as soon as we talked in. The chef even talked to us directly about allergies and assured us he could accommodate. Started with the bread which came with a wonderful fig jam (hint, save some for later!). Next was the short rib coca. Each slice was packed with incredible flavors! To top that off, i put a little fig jam on each slice making it even more epic with every bite. Next we had patatas bravas and broccolini, both so tasty. And finally the salmon which was cooked perfectly medium. The food is is definitely elevated, unique, and modern. I cant wait to come back and try the eggs Benedict for brunch. Oh and they avoid seed oils!! Dine in peace.

Yelp
Immediately, points for having a parking lot! Cafe Largesse is a cute spot pretty south in Austin, and they do an amazing job of combining the feel of both a cafe and restaurant. It's somewhere you can get dinner with friends, but with all the natural lighting and smaller tables, I could definitely see people also coming here to work or to get some brunch. And I do think people come here earlier in the day. We came around 6pm on a Tuesday and there were a good amount of empty tables around. I feel like the move here is to order a coca. I previously had no idea what a coca was, but I'm so glad to have tried it! It's like a flatbread, but I feel like the bread part is more like a pita kind of. But all the flavors looked so good, I wanted to just try all of them. We ended up getting the short rib and the prosciutto + burrata. The short rib was my personal favorite. I loved the caramelized onions, especially with the pickled jalapeños and tender short rib. I especially appreciate the pickled jalapeños being chopped so small, so that you don't have to struggle to bite through the piece. It also lightens up the garlic aioli, which can feel pretty heavy considering its a lot of mayo. The prosciutto + burrata was really good too, with the sweet peppers, pickled onions, and tomato jam. But the burrata felt kind of non existent. I could see it, but it was spread really thin, so I didn't necessarily taste it. Especially because I was expecting like bigger lumps of cheese. If there was more, it would have balanced the sweetness and acidity perfectly. The only thing is that with the jam and pesto, the bread was faster to get more soggy. The sides we got were okay. The roasted broccolini was good flavor wise, but there was just way too much oil. I had to drip each piece before I ate it. The potatoes were alright too. I feel like the inside could have been softer, and the outside could have been crispier. And just the fact that it was $8 for 5 small potatoes felt kind of criminal. Their cafe drinks looked really good, although also kind of pricey. But I would definitely try some if I came earlier in the day!

Yelp
I ordered the short rib and it was wonderful, and the crust was so light & crispy. The sauce on top was great and the pickled jalapeños had a nice punch to it. My friend ordered a side of fresh jalapeño slices that we added on top and it elevated the Coca. For drinks I went with a strawberry matcha! It was very visually pleasing and tasted great too. I can appreciate that the strawberry flavor stood out, but it was a tad too sweet. There's a parking lot out front and it's in a tiny shopping center with a few other businesses. Our server Kia! Was an absolute star, so personable and friendly!!

Yelp
Let me just start by saying INCREDIBLE!!! I don't know why I was a bit skeptical when researching about this new restaurant but wow, their concept, their service, their menu and the flavor blow my mind and my taste buds! Everything was so fresh and flavorful, and the place is so charming that picture does not do justice. No words can describe how delicious the dishes are. You just have to try it for yourself. Didn't realize they offer happy hour but to our surprise, the pizzas (coca) are all half off during happy hour which runs 4-6pm I believe. Our server recommended the shrimp & chorizos coca (5/5) and we are so pleased with our choice to go with it. Love the way they place the shrimp and align a shrimp to each serving/slice. The garlic aioli is a nice topping for this dish. Clever, flavorful and perfect! Just like many others, we also tried the Short ribs Coca (5/5) . Love the nice balanced flavor of the braised beef short ribs, sweetness of caramelized onion and a light kick of the pickled jalapeños. Take this with a grain of salt but my husband is gluten sensitive and this coca flat bread did not give him any issues! This is huge for us! With that said, they also offer GF crust but we did not opt for that as we wanted to get the full experience with the standard bread. We got to try their spicy mango margarita (5/5) and the El Diablo (5/5) and both are well made. Good alcohol used as neither of us got any headaches after. We also got the bourbon glazed pork tenderloin (5/5) and it was the highlight of our dinner. Chef's kiss!! Perfectly cooked pork meat with peach and hot honey relish. So much flavor. The grits polenta was a bit under seasoned but it seems intentional as it pairs so well with the tenderloin. We would order it again when we come back! Ended our meal with the affogato torte which is amazing too.

Yelp
Far removed from the madness of the city, yet still within city limits, Cafe Largesse really feels like a departure from the norm. It's certainly a departure from the usual routine for me, being a very solid drive away and not exactly nearby much else. Sprawling green and country club vibes permeate, but it's much more inviting and inclusive than that sounds. I was genuinely impressed by the fact that they had vegan cheese to put on top of their escalivada coca, which is a veggie-covered Catalan flatbread. The roasted eggplant and caramelized onions were the highlights, coming together to make a satisfying meal. I did think it was a bit on the sweet side, but an additional pinch of salt helped to balance things out. Seems like a great spot for morning coffee or happy hour drinks with a robust bar and espresso program at the back. Quiet, cool, calm, and clean, it would be a cozy place to camp out for a bit, and staff are kind enough that I don't think they'd mind. For an everyday kind of getaway, I'd happily return!

Yelp
We came in when it was a little slower, but it started being a little busy soon after. The server was really nice and helpful! Some other staff members (maybe managers) also checked on us here there as well! We got a Strawberry Matcha and Dirty Chai. Both were really good, I really liked that matcha had a real strawberry puree, not a syrup. For the food, we got Breakfast Sandwitch and a Chicken Panini. Both were great! A little messy but in a good way. Just be ready with a napkin on your lap! I really liked the chicken panini, the bread was the right amount of fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, very well seasoned chicken! It's pretty far out from where I'm usually located but if I'm in the area I would definitely return

Yelp
The food here came out surprisingly well. I say this because I don't really expect much from sandwiches. The complementary croissant sandwich was my favorite vs the chicken flat bread. The other menu choices also sounded really good. All the quiches on the menu were sold out, so I will be back to try that. As for drinks, the spiked chai and matcha were great. Glad I started my morning caffeine here. Interior is also really nice feels very comfortable. All the staff were quick and friendly. Did not feel slow at all. There are literally no restaurants in this area so it's nice that there's a good one that also has good coffee.

Yelp
Really loved this spot-- such a gorgeous drive out to this part of town. Substantial parking lot, really nice ambiance inside, and lovely/ friendly wait staff. I got a breakfast sandwich (for which they were very easily able to accommodate a vegetarian version) and a strawberry matcha latte, both of which were delicious. Need to come back to try the full brunch menu!

Yelp
I wanted to get someone small so I got the roasted potatoes sides. I was expecting crispy potatoes, but these weren't not sadly. The aioli was delicious, but the inside of the potatoes could have been cooked just a little more and the outside could have been crispier.

Yelp
Stopped by for a coffee before heading to work and glad I did. It is an upscale cafe but not stuffy. The staff person was friendly and I like that I could seat myself. I got the maple latte and it was roasty, a little bitter and sweet. I really liked it.

Yelp
We had breakfast here on a weekday. The place is rather small but nice. Not a lot of people there when we went so it was so nice to be able to talk without yelling. The avocado toast with a poached egg was delicious, some of the best I've had. The breakfast sandwich was also really good. Great service! We will return for lunch.

Yelp
I sent my client to the Cafe Largesse .. He said , "It was incredible! I had the chicken panini on sourdough. One of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten!". I went later and had the BLT and it was fabulous. They really are the best sandwiches!

Yelp
I picked up an order to go. The staff was friendly. I only ordered desserts. Their lemon bread/cake was really good. I got their butter croissant. Very buttery, light and airy. It was delicious. I smidgen pricey!

The food was so fresh and delicious, the staff were so nice and on top of it and the ambiance is quaint but upbeat. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Really enjoyed the seasonal toast! Fresh ingredients and well balanced combinations. The goat cheese was not overwhelming. The croissant was delicious as well! Would love to see gluten free options marked on the menu!

Yelp
The food here is absolutely amazing (try their paninis!). So are their coffees and wine. I had the best sandwich of my life, not to mention a salad that was to die for. And I'm rather picky about my salads. It is as though the chef has been trained in the art of gourmet. This is not just an average, run of the mill Café. There is an artisan-style to each one of their dishes. A lovely couple owns the cafe and the employees are warm and inviting. Love this place!

Yelp
OMG!!! It was so good. We had the short rib pizza and I was blown away. So good. We are coming back soon and will get the short rib pizza again and want to try the charcuterie board!! Good job!!

Yelp
Cafe Largesse is such a lovely addition to the area. The food is incredible and the people are awesome. Get the breakfast tacos or breakfast sandwich!!!

Yelp
Jumping on early in their opening so hopefully things will improve quickly so we can keep this new place in the neighborhood.... on entering for just coffee and breakfast to go, was confused as to where I should order because there was a table in front of the counter. The young girl who waited on me was entertaining her friends at another table so a little uncomfortable and unprofessional.....but made a great coffee. However, the avocado toast I brought home to eat was inedible because it was so soaked in balsamic that the soggy bread fell apart. Will definitely give it another go because I hate to judge by the first couple of days open....but wanted to pass along constructive criticism from someone who thinks this area needs a new cafe.

Suzanne M.

Yelp
Sandwiches are wonderful! Quaint local restaurant. Service was very nice as well. Would happily come back again!

Yelp
Just went here and spent $30 on a shrimp Caesar salad to go. The salad was small, needed about triple the lettuce that was in the box and pretty soggy too. Paid $1 extra for extra Parmesan and I had to ask for extra parm again from the kitchen because it wasn't added. No fork in the bag either. The employees were very kind and service was good but so overpriced for mediocre at best food and tiny portion.
