The 12 Best Breakfast Spots In Denver 2024

"Don’t ask why Café Miriam serves their bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwiches with a side of yet another croissant (albeit mini and honey drizzled). Instead, just be grateful. Also be grateful for the well-priced espresso drinks and menu of sweet and savory crepes, all of which are best enjoyed at one of the tiny French café-style tables outside. You’ll feel like you’re on a quaint Parisian corner—at least until the Tesla Cybertrucks start jockeying for City Park parking spots and quash your carefree French vibe." - allyson reedy

26 Breakfasts in Denver Worth Waking Up For

"This charming little French-inspired cafe at the edge of City Park is known for crepes both savory and sweet. The royale with cheese contains prosciutto, Brie, fig spread, and balsamic vinegar, for instance, while the dulce de leche combines its namesake ingredient with Nutella, caramel, and French vanilla ice cream. Pastries, croissant sandwiches, hot chocolate, and a full espresso bar also await." - Eater Staff, Ruth Tobias

We were in Denver just to go to a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater to see Gregory. Alan Isakov. For morning coffee and breakfast, we stopped by this place and were so pleasantly surprised by the excellent crepes and coffee. It is owned by someone with Tunisian background and he named it after his daughter. They both run the restaurant together but she's in college right now. He was so friendly and had such professional staff working there. The food was delicious. The setup was simple but eclectic. And it's writing by a huge park in Denver, which is great for going for a walk after a good meal.

Google
Cafe Miriam is a cute little spot to the west of City Park in Denver. An authentic French cafe serving up wonderful food and java. The service is outstanding. The family is so sweet. And the food and beverages were amazing! 5 x ☕☕☕☕☕

Google
This place is actually the greatest. Every time I come here the service is fabulous. Ordering at the counter makes it very easy and stress free. No waiting on a check! Plenty of seating space even a cozy upstairs section and a great patio. I have had the crepes, breakfast burrito, and breakfast sandwich and somehow they executed perfectly on all of them. They also have fabulous lattes. Genuinely couldn’t recommend more. The staff who work here are so on top of it and kind and welcoming.

Google
Small, but very good neighborhood cafe near City Park. They have a selection of breakfast sandwiches and crepes with a few pastries. The ham & Swiss sandwich was excellent warmed so the cheese was melted. The potato side was very good too as was the coffee. Service was fast & friendly. Even the chef came and asked how the breakfast was. The space is very small, but cozy. The Art on one wall seemed to be for sale. Parking is very limited in the area and may be difficult to find.

Natalie K.

Google
Such a delightful little cafe. Delicious coffee and food. The crepes are perfect if you're looking for a fresh bite but don't want to be weighed down by a traditional American breakfast. The owner was there and is so sweet. We're not from Denver but I'd make sure to make it a stop on my next trip.

Santina M.

Google
Went today with 2 friends for all of our first times here and we had such a lovely experience! All of the employees were so kind and enjoyable and we also met the owner who was wonderful and generous! The food was delicious and we’ll definitely be back!

Google
Feels like an authentic French Cafe, good service and the food was tasty. They’re able to make Gluten Free Crepes and I got the Toscana which was very good. It felt a bit heavy as it was a big portion which left me more than satisfied. A bit pricey with a double espresso and one crepe plus tip coming in at over $25 but Id go back. Parking can be dicey!

Grace H.

Google
Always love stopping by this cafe! The staff are so friendly and it always smells like bacon. Anything you order will be great. I love the crepes (sweet or savory) and lattes. But don’t forget to get a macaroon! Only challenge is that Cafe Miriam is very popular and seating can be tight. Not a place I would bring a big group to sit down for a meal. Perfect for everything else!

Robyn M.

Yelp
These are the best variety of crepes I've seen in Denver. I was spoiled in Key West with Key Plaza Creperie (best crepes anywhere!) But these are decent (not too big) proportions, fresh, and homemade by a small family business. I had the garden crepes with eggplant , mushrooms, peppers, zucchini, andbalsamic vinegar and a side salad. The decaf espresso was also unexpectedly great!
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Cutest warm & cozy coffee shop! Lox beagle, ice latte, and chocolate crape were all delicious and came out in a timely manner. The staff is wonderful. The owner came through and brought a new cortado drink to our table because he said based off the color it was made wrong. We had no complaints on the original drink and were totally surprised by this but boy was the second one ever better!! I'm not in the area often but when I am I'll be sure to stop by and so should you!! Support small business!!
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
This place was a great choice for us! The lattes weren't bad, the breakfast sandwich I just gobbled right up. I don't remember what i got, but it came with a side salad.. my friend enjoyed hers and mine, so it must've been good. The crepe was different for me, but man was it good!! The fruits on it were so juicy and fresh tasting. I'd come back here for sure. It's nice for the neighborhood it's in, they can just walk on over. Great atmosphere and great people working here. A must try!

Yelp
My friend and I went here on a whim, but pretty happy we did. Very small, cozy cafe with outdoor seating. I had a latte which tasted good with a petit dej de sunby croissant sandwich. The salmon in it was delicious. I added the side salad into the sandwich and that made it twice as good. The dressing from the salad helped balance the saltiness of the salmon. You order at the counter, and the cashier was friendly.

Yelp
Café Miriam is a solid, casual brunch spot in Denver with a European vibe. Seating: in and outdoor Food/drink: the savory and sweet crêpes and cappuccinos are delicious. Sweet was better than savory in my opinion. Of the savory, the American was better than the smoked salmon. Great service. I would come again for sweet crepes.
google avatar

Yelp
This was the perfect spot for a refreshing iced coffee after a trip to the Denver Zoo! On a Tuesday morning, it was easy to find parking and seating, but it is all street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. The inside was really cute and there were plenty of tables, but outside was even better on a summer day! We felt like we were in Europe. My mocha was absolutely delicious!
google avatar

Kiana T.

Yelp
We stopped for lunch here and it was amazing! The staff were super nice and we had a really nice conversation about our travels. The four of us ordered crepes and the caprese sandwich - which was absolutely to die for. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
Disappointing considering all the good reviews. I ordered the Chai Latte and the Royal With Cheese Crepe. The Chai Latte, was standard and what I expected but the crepe was a bit disappointing. It was listed under the savory crepes, but there was far too much fig jam which made it overpoweringly sweet. I'd recommend reducing the amount of Jam in half.

Yelp
My friend and I went to Cafe Miriam for brunch on a Sunday after I had been wanting to try it for a long time! It always looked busy and cute from the outside, with plentiful seating on the patio and small tables inside. The ambiance/decor is Mediterranean and cute, since the restaurant/owners are Moroccan. You order at the counter, and the staff bring your food to your table. I had a garden veggie crepe which was delicious (not the super crispy type of crepe, if that's your style), and my friend had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I will definitely come here again, and next time, I'll have a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. We both had iced coffees (for me, a mocha) and were happy enough that we ordered seconds. This establishment has done so well that they've opened a second location nearby. Way to go!

Michelle S.

Yelp
Such a lovely spot, have always had amazing service here! The staff are efficient and friendly and the owner is wonderful as well We will always come back here and can't wait to check out the new location

Yelp
Came for lunch before a Sunday afternoon summer Rockies game. Very little seating and very popular on Sundays! Cute decor with what looked to be work from local artists for sale. Our party of four got a sweet crepe, a savory crepe, and 2 croissant sandwiches. Overall a good experience.
google avatar

Brena E.

Yelp
This is a very tiny place with maybe seats for 12 inside and more seating outside. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. The service was very friendly. I loved my croissant breakfast sandwich and will definitely be back for that. Parking is a little challenging, so plan ahead.
google avatar

Yelp
This was such an AMAZING experience! My high school friends and I were celebrating our 30th birthdays in Denver. This coffee shop was within walking distance of our air b and b. The service and food were extraordinary! The cherry on top was connecting with the owner who happened to also be from the same hometown in Maryland. I would recommend this place to everyone visiting Denver! Can't wait to come back :)
google avatar

Sara C.

Yelp
The food here is next level. I am so happy to have found this adorable cafe / breakfast spot across from city park! I will definitely be back. :)
google avatar

Stacey T.

Yelp
Friendly service. Cute neighborhood spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Yummy turmeric latte but the pan au chocolate might have been a day old. Breakfast croissant was good though the bacon seemed precooked. My dining companion got the Paris sandwich and it was delicious. Not sure I saw the French or Moroccan side of Cafe Miriam but I still enjoyed it.
google avatar

Gesuina C.

Yelp
Everybody here is so kind ! I didn't realize they closed at 2 as I was just popping in for a coffee, but they insisted I stayed and enjoyed my meal (and gave me a Nutella crepe!). Such a cute a spot, especially right now with the fall leaves and nice weather. Food was yummy! Will be coming back again.

Yelp
Came here on Saturday after searching for a place on Yelp. Tiny little place across the street from the park ordered the Breakfast Croissant and the Le Parisien to drink we had an iced caramel macchiato, both sandwiches came with a tiny salad and a complimentary small pastry. Casual atmosphere that We really enjoyed and the outside feel relaxing. The employees were courteous and the food is good. A must try in my opinion.

Yelp
Hole in the wall alert I love small restaurants like this!!! Very home bound with some delicious items in the menu. This cafe continues close to its 5 star reviews with my support. My experience would be judged on their specialty menu which was "el jefe" and a caramel macchiato. El jefe: 4.5/5 -if you don't eat meat. This one's for you, carnivorous me unfortunately thought, that looks delicious and I thought about asking for sausage with it but I forgot... non the less, the savoriness from the caramelized onions and spinach with the fried egg in an English muffin was delicious! It was super refreshing with a morning salad and and a cup of fruit. It was a delicious start to the morning. The flavors married themselves very well and were paired well with a morning coffee! Caramel macchiato: 5/5 -perfect levels of caramel with a fresh brewed coffee. It was delicious to pair with my meal. Services wise. It was amazing! The gal upfront forgot my drink though... but... I won't knock her down as she was very accommodating and she made it quickly as soon as I pointed it out to her. The chef even brought out the food! It is we pretty cool! I would recommend this hole in the wall. I'm sure the rest of their menu Is scrumptious!

Yelp
Food - amazing crepes and good coofee Service - fast and efficient Ambiance - very cozy. Owner stopped by as we were wrapping up breakfast. He said good morning to all the employees by name. He came over to our table and was just a wholesome person. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Merci !

Yelp
Fast friendly service, delicious food and my fave iced chai- what a great day it is! This is such a cute cafe and can't wait to be back!

Yelp
We came here after reading the wonderful reviews. I wanted to love Cafe Miriam, and I liked it a lot. But there are some limitations. We went early on a beautiful Sunday morning before the crowds. There is very limited seating inside, there was lots of seating outside. I have to say that the chairs are not the most comfortable for someone with a back challenge. The staff are just great. They're friendly, helpful and accommodating. I ordered black coffee which was excellent. My wife chose a Chai latte with almond milk that she liked a lot. I wasn't too sweet. We both ordered crepes, and they were good. I know that there's a commercial crepe making machine and clearly that's how the food was prepared. The fillings we chose-cheese and veges-were fresh and flavorful. The other choices other than crepes are a variety of sandwiches. For a breakfast place, I frankly found that the menu is a bit limited. I really think that adding some fruit and choices of omelettes would really add to the quality of the otherwise excellent restaurant.

Yelp
Walked in on a Saturday for brunch with friends after the farmers market. We managed to get an outdoor spot for 4 to sit, as the interior is fairly small. We got coffees and crepes as well as the breakfast sandwich with Lox. The coffee was good and brought out prompt. The food took a bit longer but was also good. Special note that the potato's are amazing. The portions are small (amount of meat and toppings) but the fillings we did get were good. Overall a great place for a quick bite with friends.
google avatar

Kasia W.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this spot. The waitress was so nice and the waiter who brought out the food was very attentive. The food and latte were really good and the complementary pastry on the side was probably the best chocolate croissant I've ever had. The outdoor seating was cute! I will definitely be coming back, great brunch spot!

Daven B.

Yelp
Exceptionally great coffee and food. The Americano was perfect; the croissont even better. But the service, atmosphere, and experience were even better. Highly, highly recommend.
google avatar

Valerie Y.

Yelp
The food was spectacular! I had the egg and bacon croissant and it was flavorful and delicious the potatoes were spicy and decadent! The service was super friendly and quick! A cute little cafe on the corner, perfect for a little bite. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Will be back!

Tim F.

Yelp
Delicious coffee and food, and quick service. Great place to sit outside on a nice day.

Mike W.

Yelp
Visiting friends and family from out-of-town. What a great spot! We (group of 6 adults and 2 kids) got here on a Sunday but luckily after a short wait were able to find a great spot outside. All the servers were extremely friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Excellent service. Food was great! Our group got several different sandwiches (all happy smiles after eating), I had the special breakfast burrito and my kid suggested rating the nutella crepe a "15-stars". I tried a bite and would agree. If you are looking for a chill hangout spot with great service and food - go here!
google avatar

Joy Q.

Yelp
This cute lunch/cafe spot is located right by the city park. It was such a good experience to come here on weekends, grab some either sweet or savory treats, and then walk around the park afterwards. I highly recommend this place to take ur friends and family while they are in town It was busy on the weekend and it's a relatively small storefront though there's a patio with limited outdoor seating. Seats will be tight from each other Friendly service. Order at the counter - i ordered a croissant with smoked salmon and egg. The croissant crust was good but the salmon portion was small. I loved the mini chocolate croissant on the side though - also got a prosciuttos crepe. Really nice flavor if you are looking for something in between sweet and savory - got some pastry with coffee. The iced oat latte was decent but the pastry was so so and not impressionable Will definitely come back and was so happy that I found this gem!

Yelp
When I read that Cafe Miriam offers "French Moroccan" food, my partner and I were eager to stop by for breakfast and support the culture. However, the menu and the quality of food is not quite the French Moroccan cuisine we are very used to... in fact, it all seemed very Americanized, basic, and either undercooked or too dry. I had a breakfast crepe with bacon, egg, and cheese. The crepe was rubbery, definitely not a sufficiently cooked crepe, and the whole dish was put together very haphazardly - but the potatoes really killed it for me. They must have been mixed with great seasoning but in a large bowl that went stone-cold and then spooned out individually as a small side. I had asked when ordering what the potatoes would be like, and the employee at the counter shrugged and said "soft." I was literally like "?" but the alternative was a plain salad so I opted for the potatoes. I didn't finish the crepe nor the potatoes. My partner had the breakfast croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese. The croissant was dry but the insides were runny, so the whole thing was a bit of a mess by the end of it. The croissant also came with potatoes, which my partner did not care for, and a small, dry pain au chocolat that just didn't taste good. When ordering drinks, I settled for an iced latte with vanilla syrup and - Gasp! - almond milk. Their options are almond milk, 2% milk, and whole milk for drinks. I was honestly flabbergasted, considering the many other cafes in Denver and all of their dairy alternatives. The drink I ended up with tasted watery (thanks to the almond), and had a strong coffee taste that my partner loved but I did not. Frankly, if there were other comparable options in this part of City Park / Denver Zoo, I would've left and gone somewhere else. I appreciate the French Moroccan spin, but the menu and overall ambiance left a lot to be desired.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
This was a nice place to stop at for an afternoon coffee. It has European vibes with a wonderful patio with umbrellas for shade. My drink was really delicious with a perfect sweetness level. I would like to go back for brunch.
google avatar

Ester P.

Yelp
5+++++ star service I am so glad I found this place while visiting my husband (then-fiance) from Dallas, TX. Dallas has a lot of brunch spots too but this one in Denver was extra special to me. It was such a great brunch date spot to have nice meal/coffee followed by nice stroll in the city park. Chill but still vibrant atmosphere. Adequate seating space indoor/outdoor. Everyone was courteous and crepes were well done. I am writing this review slightly late but I have posted photos immediately. I wanted to make sure I leave extra feedback on this spot. They already have high stars which draw my attention first and this is one of few places with high ratings that truly deserve the 5 stars. I can see the owner's every touch in every corner. Definitely a come back when I revisit Denver.
google avatar

Martha C.

Yelp
Delicious food. Small cozy venue. Kind staff! Good for al fresco dining on front sidewalk or carry out.
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
This is a super cute café that was right by where I was staying in Denver. Unfortunately, I had to send my food back because it was not cooked properly and they were very nice about remaking the whole thing. However, it came out wrong a second time so I was disappointed. The staff was so nice that I didn't feel like complaining any further. Super cute atmosphere inside, lots of cool artwork, and I would definitely give them a second chance.

Kayla L.

Yelp
Beautiful, family-owned, delicious restaurant! Turmeric coffee was amazing, and we really enjoyed the Royale with Cheese and Toscane. The Nutella crepe was a perfect ending to a great meal. Staff is very kind and generous. Will be back!
google avatar

Estelle S.

Yelp
Get the savory crepe! You can't go wrong with anything but wooow they are so so good. The team here is quick and kind, making the entire experience great every time. If it's nice, grab a seat outside and enjoy the neighborhood!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun quirky cafe on the park. The vibe is a little eccentric, some mismatching tables and chairs, bold art on the walls that clashes with the rest of the vibe, a very hipster college town cafe kind of vibe. What can't be beat is the location more or less right on the park, which is one of my favorite places in Denver. We went on a Saturday morning while it was snowing which... peak vibes. The food is good, but again a little eccentric. Essentially the have a coffee shop menu but also a breakfast entree menu, but the entrees are either crepes or sandwiches. No complaints here because I don't know many other places to get crepes in the coty, and definitely not this broad of a selection, but if you dont want a crepe this might not be the best choice for you. That being said, they had an awesome buy 1 full price savory crepe get 1 sweet crepe half off deal. Definitely got us to spend a little more because my wife got a sando, I got a savory crepe, and then we split a sweet crepe, and I stand by that as a strong ordering strategy here. We had fun googling the featured artist whose paintings were on the wall and the satff were very friendly and attentive. Since we went early before the rush it was a perfect quiet Saturday morning choice. If you're in the park, maybe at the zoo or something, and looking for a good light lunch this is a good choice. But be warned, on a sunny afternoon Ive seen people lining up outside.

Grace M.

Yelp
The food was so good, and the outside patio seating was nice for the beautiful day. The owner is also one of the most lovely people I have met!

Eric K.

Yelp
Visited the new location on Lafayette St in Denver. This is where you want to enjoy your Sunday brunch, with a delicious assortment of teas, the Moroccan Mint being my absolute favorite, and an order of vegetarian crepes that are savory and delicious. Also it seems they have live music pretty often.
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
We were vacationing in Denver and found this cafe here on Yelp, and I am SO glad we stopped here! It was one of the most delicious breakfasts I've had in a very long time. I had a sandwich (something with James in the title, if I remember correctly), and the buttery, flaky croissant was delicious all by itself. Light, fluffy eggs filled the center, along with a slice of avocado. It's a meal I know I will remember for years to come! My family had crepes and loved them as well. It was the best brunch we had in Colorado during our stay, hands down!
google avatar

Jennifer V.

Yelp
This place is such a cute local spot near city park! I've been here for breakfast before and went in today for a decaf coffee. Everything was great besides some of their service and inventory available around 12pm. I asked for a decaf vanilla latte and they told me they didn't have decaf then. Also, when I did order a beverage they skipped me and I had to wait longer than people behind me to get my iced latte. Other than that, cute place near city park! Also just FYI this place is more on the expensive side for breakfast.
google avatar

Inga W.

Yelp
French would be starting a revolution! The food is terrible, it's not made from scratch but assembled. The salad looked like it came from a bag. The chicken crepe was mediocre. The veggie one same thing. Skip this place!
google avatar

Steve O.

Yelp
Great little breakfast/brunch/lunch spot tucked off York. I emphasize the "little." The place only seats 8ish inside. There's covered seating outside but my guess is that's a no-go in the winter. The menu has the French/Moroccan touch as advertised, with food like crepes. As to the food, it is great, The breakfast sandwiches are tasty, with the eggs not over cooked, and the coffee drinks are spot-on. They have a small pastry selection that was nearly sold out at 9:45am on a Wednesday. The two items left looked good but we opted for the menu food. It's a nice little place.
google avatar

Brooklyn F.

Yelp
Darling little neighborhood spot. Tons of parking on the street because it is huddled into a quiet residential neighborhood. The food is delightful- made fresh and to order, not pre-made or frozen like many "coffee shops." The drinks were also terrific. I went with a friend of mine and everything we ordered was wonderful. Afterwards, we walked down 21st street and across to City Park for a stroll. Super convenient and made for a morning I will be repeating often !! Highly recommend !

Jessica E.

Yelp
Food was absolutely amazing! Owner and cook were so sweet and made sure we loved our food. It's a small place but you feel so comfortable there, owner makes sure you feel so welcomed. I loved it. Told my husband that if we lived here (we live in san diego) i would be here everyday.

Melissa D.

Yelp
Just ok. The staff are really sweet and the area is really pretty right by the park, but the crepe and the sandwich were both underwhelming and really simple. I was pretty disappointed but glad to support a little business.

K K.

Yelp
We ate at their new location at Lafayette & 17th. Very disappointing. First, my hot cocoa arrived only 2/3 of a cup full and not extra hot as requested. They did replace it with a full cup, very hot. For food, I ordered the Pommes Crepe. It is billed as "Crispy apples, soft brie, and Lebanese fig jam, topped with a balsamic glaze." Well there were apples in the crepe, and two tiny pieces of brie, not melted, couldn't find any jam. This crepe was very dry and underwhelming. It's a nice location and friendly staff but cannot recommend the food. Maybe just go for coffee/drinks.
google avatar

Bruce B.

Yelp
First impression was a little confusing Quickly felt like a corner cafe in Paris or sw France Unusual menu. Loved the crepe with Brie, proctor ham and fig jam. Unusual Judy, crepe with vegetarian innards pleased her palate Pleasant treed street leading to the park. Coffees made to order Nice customers with a variety of dogs We will go back
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
My fried egg was wet and uncooked. Salad was terrible. Only was able to eat the fruit.
