Soup momo was something different from usual. It was very delicious. One wasn’t enough!! They also gave us generous amount of chili sauce which was “twaka”(right amount of spice) for my pallet. Chicken taas was more like fajita and it taste yum as well!! Staffs were really sweet. Would have given 5 star if the portion was a bit more for the price.

Google
Excellent restaurant a real jewel of Manchester. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We had Vegetable MOMO (Vegan) Minced Vegetable ,Ginger/Garlic and other spices wrapped in a dough, Gundruk soup and the best was Nepali Thali (Vegetarian) (Served with Rice, Dal, Vegetable Curry, Gundruk (Fermented Pickle) , Aloo Aachar, Aloo Tama, Garden Salad and Ghee. Beware the food can be very hot. I most try restaurant when in Manchester.

My boyfriend took me here for lunch last week. I had tofu and he had lamb, the food and service was excellent as always. I have been several times over the last 9 years and enjoyed every visit. On this occasion I was introduced to a complimentary cup of masala tea (an Indian version of chai tea with a sweetened milk) which was a delightful surprise on a cold day. Come visit this hidden treasure.

Google
Cute place with complimentary chai (got 2 refills), twas good and then we ordered 1 mix plate of momos (chicken, buffalo, wild boar) and 1 veg momos. Chicken momos were really good and fresh. We ended up ordering another plate. Be prepared it can take up to ~ 15 mins to get your order since their preparations are so fresh. Would definitely recommend it!!!

Google
Great take on authentic Nepali food. The goat meat curry was amazing with the thali that I ordered. We also ordered momo and goat bhutan, both were also amazing. I would definitely recommend this Nepali place. The rabri (Nepali dessert) was a cherry on the cake. Def coming back!!!

It was our first visit and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing!

Google
I come here as often as I can and encourage all to do the same! They have countless delicious options on their menu, a cozy atmosphere, and the staff is always incredibly friendly and kind. People who are vegan will find many options, I always go with the “Tofu Chile” pictured here, it’s delicious! My meat-eating friends who I’ve brought here are always super impressed and love the flavor-packed food and many choices!

Google
Must try momos here. We had vegetarian momos platter and the momo soup was yum!! I’d recommend this place!! ⭐️

Yelp
Turned out to be "worth a journey." We had an appointment in Manchester that necessitated a 1-1/4 hour drive from our home. Wanting lunch, we looked on line at ethnic restaurants and picked Café Momo. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was clear that our food bill would not be paying for an expensive lease, and the interior decor was in the same vein. The owner/chef greeted us warmly and was more than happy to explain dishes. We ordered some "momos" - dumplings - to start, which were exquisite in preparation and taste. For the main courses, we each had something very different, but had the same reaction -- deep, rich flavors, where "spicy" was not so much a question of how "hot" the dish was (you can order hot to your own taste), but a result of long, slow cooking to concentrate flavors. Every mouthful was a revelation of flavor that had me picking up bones to gnaw at every last bit. We will go again!!

Yelp
I think this place is new-ish but I could be wrong. Regardless it's so nice to find a Himalayan/Nepalese place in New Hampshire. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. I got the lamb momo's because ya gotta try those and the curry chicken. Great portions as well I had leftovers for the next day! I recommend Cafe Momo!

Susan B.

Yelp
We ate here for my birthday! The food was fabulous! The ambiance, decor, and staff are all awesome! Everyone was very kind. They are great at explaining the menu, and recommending gluten free food. Everything arrived pretty much together so we were all able to eat together. The Mango lassi is divine!! Highly recommend!! This was the second time I ate here. A friend brought me here for a working lunch once and our experiences was also excellent! We are both gluten intolerant. Neither of us felt unwell nor had any eczema afterward.

Yelp
Very good I went two days in a row and would go back when I'm in the area. The food is very different and tasty. Portion sizes are generally

Yelp
Stopped by for a takeout lunch. Very nice owner and staff. Very clean inside. Food was incredible! All fresh, great spice levels that cater to your tastes. I had Gundruck soup (pretty spicy broth with depth of flavor), Lamb Tarkari (tender lamb and a garden of fresh veg in a dark ginger and garlic sauce). Wife had Rama's Chicken and the Momo combo platter. All was delicious! Will definitely be back!!

Rachel G.

Yelp
Came upon this place looking for vegetarian food in Worcester. Loved their vegi monos. We had the steamed ones and the ones in curry broth. Delicious!!

Angela L.

Yelp
We stopped by the cafe momo on our way up from Mass, and boy are we glad we did. Small restaurant with big heart, the server was really engaging and knowledgable about nepalese cuisine. We had the mixed momo platter (each one was delicious) and I got the gundruk soup, which was simple, but so earthy and homey and yummy. For mains my friends got the homestyle vegetable chowmein (he cleaned his plate, said it was really good), and Rama's Chicken--I tried a bit of it and it was very flavorful and cooked well. I got the Dal Bhat since I wasn't super hungry but it was really good and it made me want to ask for more rice and eat more lol. The server also gave us some rice pudding to try for dessert, and it was really good. I thought it was just the right amount of sweet, but the other two said it could have used more sugar or less sugar. Overall we had a great time, and when we left we were all stuffed! I don't live in the area but if I'm ever in Manchester again or on my way to Vermont I'll definitely be making a pit stop here again. Highly recommend, our visit to cafe momo was one of the highlights of our trip.

Binal T.

Yelp
I usually love love Himalayan/Nepalese food for the unique but familiar flavor they offer but this place was definitely a disappointment. May be post covid their food change? I don't know as this was my first time trying this place. We ordered mix vegetable dumplings(made a request to the server to mix some veggies and paneer dumplings) , tofu noodles and paneer curry. Definitely loved the tofu noodles no doubt about that as they were nicely prepared with good flavor, paneer curry was not that great as it lacked flavor and had so much paneer in it that there was no curry or the curry got soaked by the paneer. The paneer did not seem to be cooked well as well. The dumplings or momos were ok but would have loved a spicy sauce with it instead of curry sauce. Might order again for tofu noodles but not for anything else.

Rich D.

Yelp
Delicious Nepalese food. The lamb curry was small but delicious. The soup was just liquid but it tasted good. I wasn't too impressed but I enjoyed it.

Alma C.

Yelp
My hotel had a promo for this place-20% off a purchase $30 or more. The guy wouldn't even validate his own offer. I should've called the deal off right then. Then he wouldn't let me just get dumplings with my card- no card purchases under $10 without a fee. I don't like these restaurants charging the same they normally do yet no dine in. Plus styrofoam isn't environmentally friendly. The chicken plate was VERY tough, and that was with it being tenderized. $16. Should've gotten 3 $5 Walmart tender rotisserie chickens :( Why am I complaining if its my stupidity? I guess I just thought the way the reviews were, this was gonna be amazing. Was listening to other people before me, but Im not seeing the same thing they saw. Rice was good. Good sauce. Pretty good veggies. Good dumplings also. still trader joes frozen dumplings are comparable.

Anonymous C.

Yelp
Such good food and spice. Very flavorful. love the buffalo momos and the lamb curry. hidden gem

Jem M.

Yelp
Do not be fooled by the humble exterior--this place is legit. We had the pani poori, chicken momo, mutter paneer and rama chicken and all were excellent. Very flavorful and the spice was well-balanced. The owner is a very talented chef and nice to boot. We will definitely be making a trip back.

Nicholas G.

Yelp
I came here last year and the chicken chili was delicious. Came back this week and the chicken chili was completely different, kind of odd.

Joseph R.

Yelp
Incredible food, cutesy Nepalese atmosphere, and super caring service, Cafe Momo has it all. I've had my fair share of Himalayan food but Cafe Momo has managed to top my list. 15/10, if I could give it 20 stars I would. Highly recommend the veggie pakoras!

Cheryl W.

Yelp
Small family run business. Food was delicious. Nothing fancy but definitely worth the visit.

Monique F.

Yelp
Great food. Spicy and fresh. Love to momo dumplings. Everything is made in house. Delicious

Meghan G.

Yelp
I joined a friend for Sunday lunch at Cafe Momo. Google Maps reminded me it had been five years since my last visit. The waitress was friendly and helpful. She let us know the restaurant is under new ownership- I suspected since the menu had definitely changed. The restaurant was quiet and the atmosphere was cozy. It looks like they might be expanding into the nextdoor business space. The food was delicious! Perfect portions for a hearty lunch. Definitely try the Chef's Special desert if you have room.

Hrishikesh M.

Yelp
One of the best Nepalese restaurant ever had. The chicken momos were very authentic and really good!

Olivia P.

Yelp
Great food and I look guard to going back with my fiancé. Not many places serve this type of food so when you find a good one you keep going back. They need to get better with their beverage options they didn't have much of anything available.

Eddie M.

Yelp
This quaint Himalayan bistro has never disappointed. They have multiple inspired vegan and flex options. Be warned though, the spice level is extremely aggressive. Not for the faint of heart indeed. The Nepalese pickle is delightful. Limited seating feels cozy as it's never packed. Feels incredibly authentic. The staff is always so nice. It truly feels like a treat coming here.

Allana D.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Manchester. The food here is really authentic and everything I've tried has been delicious-definitely have some momo's but if this is your first time having nepalese food and you're feeling skittish have rama's chicken! Great for date nights and for intimate dinner with friends : ) and service is great! I've been coming here for years and this is really is a hidden gem not just in Manchester but in the whole northeast.

Pamela B.

Yelp
The owner served us due to lack of help. I'm sorry he had to, but really glad he did! He is a very sweet man who cares very much about his customers and the food he serves. I visited today with my husband and son. None of us had ever had Nepalese food, and it was an adventure for sure! Everything was fresh and delicious. I tried goat for the first time. It was so well prepared, didn't taste gamey as I had expected it to be. My husband isn't an adventurous eater, and he was very pleasantly surprised by the Katmandu chicken. My son was sad that he was full before he could finish, but was happy to take his home for later. We highly recommend trying Cafe MoMo, especially if you have never tried this type of cuisine. We will definitely be going back. Thank you Cafe MoMo!

Matt S.

Yelp
Very good. I was surprised when my wife suggested this place because I had no idea what to expect. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. We had the lamb SAAG and Ramas chicken with the bread and yogurt. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. This will become a regular place for us can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Augustine F.

Yelp
Today was my first day at this restaurant, and I absolutely love their food! they had amazing service very friendly and respectful staffs. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Susan F.

Yelp
"10+ Guys that love Cafe Momo and it's new owner Raj, took the time to message me about my last review of the place. They told me that Cafe Momo had NEW owners and the food was wonderful again. So, trusting the 10+ guys suggestion, (Like who does that? - Reaching out to previous reviewers and asking them to give their favorite restaurant another chance) my husband and I went to Cafe Momo tonight. We were not disappointed! The momo's were AMAZING! They were better than the original owners momos! Then, the entres came. My husband got Rama Chicken. I tasted it. The Chicken was juicy and tender. The seasoning was perfect. The vegetables were cooked al dente and were delicious. He was very happy with his meal. I got the Kathmandu Chicken. Again, the chicken was tender, vegetables - green beans, zucchini, and carrots were cooked perfectly. The sauce was flavorful and at a heat of 3 was just hot enough for me. The basmati rice was also perfect. Each meal is cooked from scratch. The food did not come out quickly, but the wait was reasonable. The food came out steaming hot! Nothing sat under a heat light or came out of a microwave. I'm so grateful for the 10+ guys (that's how the person who emailed identified themselves) who took the time to email me and encourage me to give the place another chance. Cafe Momo was always one of our go to places... before the original owner sold it. I'm trilled it has been sold again to excellent cooks that care about their customers. We'll be back!

Maura Z.

Yelp
Delicious and authentic food! Waiter was very kind and helpful. It took a very long time, but don't let that deter you from going because making food from scratch takes a while!

Hillary S.

Yelp
Food is amazing but restaurant is a disaster! They have a relatively long wine and cocktail list but everything on it was out of stock. They had NO cocktails and only Riesling for wine. It's only a 7 table spot yet, they can't keep up with the orders at all. We arrived at 7:15 and left at 10:00, with no cocktails or dessert, just apps and main dishes. A gentleman was standing nearby, waiting for his take out order for over an hour! I don't know if they're going out of business and we were only getting what was left or if they're really inept at re-ordering. Waiter couldn't care less. Not going back for a very long time, if at all.

J. Marie S.

Yelp
My husband and I have ordered take out from here several times before and always enjoyed the food. We just dined in today and got a new dish. The stir fried noodles. So delicious! Very clean tasting and flavorful!!!! Will definitely get it again. We have also tried every flavor of MoMo....yum! The food took a little while but it was totally worth it! We loved how fresh it was! The gentleman that served us was very kind and attentive. He brought us Masala Chai tea that was perfect on this cold, snowy day. We love Cafe Momo!

Chris M.

Yelp
10/10! Amazing food! Their rama chicken, veggie momo, and rabadi are rabadi were amazing! The service was great as well. The ingredients are fresh and you can totally taste the difference when you bite into it, versus something frozen. Small businesses, like Cafe Momo, deserve much more recognition.

Melvin M.

Yelp
If you haven't had authentic Nepali cuisine you have to try this spot out, hands down best in the north east.

Christine M.

Yelp
Hubby & I get take out from here at least a couple times a month but try to make it in for a sit down dinner at least once a month. It never disappoints! We we're in for the first time tonight since new owners have taken over but the transition was seamless. We had the vegetable momo's, flat bread, & a gundruk soup to start and then the fish curry & wild boar ribs for dinner. Everything was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend you give Momo's a try!

Joaquin C.

Yelp
Delicious food and great service. The owner greeted us and was our server, he was wonderful. The food was delicious. We had momos and Nepali Thali. Highly recommend this place.

Jack M.

Yelp
This place was amazing. The wild boar momo and spinach momo were the favorite, but everything was delicious. Thanks so much for staying open for an extra 15 minutes for us to get our order in, it was such a nice dinner after a long day of travel and great to be able to get Nepalese food on our trip, since there is nothing like it back home.

Carmen R.

Yelp
We flew in from Texas and found this place online. Best food we've had in a long time. Fresh, and tasty. Service was excellent. Quaint small place, nice cultural appeal

Jen B.

Yelp
The food was delicious and they even accommodated our special request with an amazing off-menu stir-fried vegetable side dish. Good momo and sauce! Basic low-budget ambiance with good service.

Cindy G.

Yelp
One of the best meals I have ever had in my entire life. Runzel (sp sorry!) was amazing at leading us through the menu on what to order. Full review to come when I get back but for right now documenting this so I don't forget!

Ian W.

Yelp
We've heard nothing, but great things about Cafe Momo, which serves vegetarian and Nepalese cuisine. So, my friend and I finally got around to having a nice dinner at Cafe Momo, conveniently located off I-93 at Exit 6. The atmosphere is very cozy and intimate with limited seating in tight quarters in the main dining area to the left. We were practically sitting right next to the other diners. There's also a "not much larger" dining room to the right. The decor is colorful and there's light background music playing. The menu is interesting and specials are posted. We started out with some Mojitos ($6 each), which were very good. For non-alcoholic fun, they also offer a Virgin Mojito ($4). The chicken Momos ($8) were little steamed dumplings, very tasty. The Flat Herbed Bread ($2) was served warm. The Nepali Pickles ($2) were very spicy. For dinner, we had the Shrimp Stir Fry ($15) and Fish Special ($16-pan crusted haddock) both served with rice and a medley of fresh hand cut vegetables, which were both very good. The food tasted light and healthy. For dessert, we tried the Sikarni ($5-creamy yogurt and fruit), which was refreshing and cool. Overall, the food here was very good and interesting. The service by the owner was attentive and spot on. He explained the menu and refilled our water glasses often. We would definitely return here again!

Pam P.

Yelp
Very slow , bland food .it took 2 hrs for our food to arrive .The food arrived one at a time like one entree every 15-20 mins so basically our table had only one food at a time and lots of the choices on menu was not even available. Not going again

Amy N.

Yelp
Fast forward eight years. I returned to Cafe Momo recently and was not as impressed. Maybe my standards have changed but the service was ill attentive and the food just "okay". It was also much more expensive (taking understandable rate of inflation in mind). My husband was UNIMPRESSED. I doubt we will return. Sorry Momo. Unfortunately, one bad experience is all it takes, there are so many choices for dining experiences. Good Luck.

Jess L.

Yelp
En route and in a rush to make an event, my husband and I needed a quick lunch that was edible in the car. We also wanted something different that we could not get in our hometown. Yelp to the rescue! There were so many things about the menu I would have liked to have tried, but we decided that the Momo Dumplings were the easiest for car consumption. There were lots of menus on the Internet with different dumpling flavors. Let me tell you, on this given day, there was: lamb, reindeer, buffalo, chicken, and veggie. (I only learned this once we got to the restaurant, and I could see the menu written on the wall.) The lamb momo were very good albeit a bit pricey. The flavoring was on point, and it had a little kick. The side sauce went really nicely with the momo. I scarfed them down. So delicious and hit the spot.

Renée R.

Yelp
A hidden gem! Listen: these momos and curries are to die for. Seriously. I would tell you to tell everyone you know, but I don't feel like waiting in line so just eat here and shut up about it. It's our secret. Just go.

Nisha K.

Yelp
Excellent service. Ordered the vegetarian thali. It was very yummy. They give complementary masala tea and was so good.

Lisa M.

Yelp
This place is nothing to look at from the outside but don't let that fool you. The food is Sooooo Amazing! We would definitely go back. Everything was fresh and so delicious. Can't wait to try more dishes! Two thumbs up!

Maria K.

Yelp
This place was exemplary in the taste of food category. The place is kind of small. A very hometown small mountain town feel. The lamb Momo and veggie Momo were delicious. The Gudruk soup was the best I ever had. We had the brown guy and the salmon over asparagus dinners. Both were absolutely delicious and healthy. For something different and extraordinary on your palate you have to try this place.

Rachel W.

Yelp
What is this amazing Nepalese restaurant doing buried way up in Manchester, NH?!? I went here tonight for dinner with my mom and sister (both of whom generally have more... mild taste buds than myself) and the food was absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS! We all enjoyed our food SO much, despite our differences in taste buds and spice tolerances. The variety of Momo options BLEW my mind - we ordered 3 different kinds and each was SO different, and SO perfect!! I have travelled a bit in Sikkim, India - a state which borders both Nepal and Tibet, and these Momo were the best I've eaten since I was there. Seriously. BUT. Let's not forget to mention the Hyderabadi Biryani!!! Holy WOW it was fantastic. Again, some of the best I've had in ages and ages. The service was sweet, the inside was clean, and there were clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. I am not someone who bothers to write many reviews - but I had to write this one, right away, because the experience was that excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant, and though I live 45 minutes away, you can believe I will be making the trip back soon - and often!

Sarah K.

Yelp
A friend highly recommended the dumplings (or momos) here, so we had to check Cafe Momo out! I'm a huge dumpling fan, so I was excited to see if Cafe Momo lived up to the hype. Overall, the momos are quite tasty, and the only drawback is the price ($10-12 for 8). But the flavor and variety of different types of momos do help make up for the price. We got takeout, but the restaurant itself is quite tiny but cozy. We tried four different kinds of momos: paneer spinach, wild boar, chicken, and lamb. All four flavors were delicious! I was a little hesitant about the wild boar, but the filling was so tasty and not the least bit gamey or funky. I'd probably say my favorite would be a tie between the paneer spinach and the chicken. All four kinds were delicious and flavorful. The momos also come with a tangy dipping sauce. Although we didn't try any of the other food, we hope to go back soon to try the other Nepalese dishes!

Carmen C.

Yelp
The yelp promo drew me to this place. My first time eating Nepalese food and I did not know what the expect from this place. We started out with some veggie momos- sorta looks like shanghai soup dumpling but without the soup, and the flat herb bread which were very tasty. As for the entree, we also picked out some stuff from the lunch specials (shrimp, veggie, fish, chicken dish with rice)- the sauces used in these dishes were very similar so it was hard to differentiate. The decor was nice- we had the entire half of the resturant to ourselves, haha

Heather F.

Yelp
First time trying Himalayan food. I tried the chicken and veggie Momo as appetizer. Both were very good ! Basically was like dim sum in my opinion. For entree we ordered the chicken and mutter paneer curry dishes. Both had a lot of veggies and scoop of rice with a cilantro sauce. I got mild spice but basically tasted zero spiciness! Serving portion was good enough to share for 4 ppl between two dishes. I also tried the flat herbal bread but just tasted like a toasted bread- Probably wouldn't recommend unless you are accompanying with a spicier dish. Overall service - waiter was super attentive and nice. Was interesting to try Himalayan food overall - seems almost like Indian / east Asian cuisine.

Geoff C.

Yelp
Tried Cafe Momo about a week ago. Kathmamdu Chicken? What a derisory joke. Portions were small, toilet was dirty and prices were top tier. Never again.
