Cafe Spaghetti is a cozy Italian gem in Carroll Gardens, serving up homemade pastas and comforting classics, all enjoyed under charming backyard umbrellas.
"A pasta favorite restaurant owned by Sal Lamboglia, located down the street from Ferdinando’s Focacceria." - Emma Orlow
"Salvatore Lamboglia’s Columbia Street Waterfront District restaurant features an eclectic interior and a charming outdoor space. Consider dishes like the updated spiedini alla Romana, sluiced in a light lemony sauce sparsely dotted with tomatoes and anchovies, with mozzarella made in house. The restaurant serves some of the best pastas our critic has had around the city, including fusilli grosso in a playfully large portion and orecchiette dressed with broccoli rabe and pork sausage." - Nadia Chaudhury, Eater Staff
"Sal Lamboglia, owner of Cafe Spaghetti and Swoony’s in Brooklyn, expressed concern about the dockworkers' strike affecting the flow of international imports and exports. He hopes to avoid financial impacts and wishes for a quick resolution to prevent further inflation and shortages." - Melissa McCart
"High chairs: Yes Go to this charming Italian restaurant in Cobble Hill If you're looking for a sit-down dinner with no semblance of a kids' menu, where your young can prove to their visiting grandmother just how skilled they are at going out to dinner. Reserve a table in the backyard, which has umbrella-covered tables and a baby blue Vespa in the center, and order your kid some riceballs and spaghetti pomodoro. The people behind this place also own nearby Swoony’s, in case you want short rib au poivre instead of pasta. " - willa moore, molly fitzpatrick
"The main reason why we come to Cafe Spaghetti is the backyard. It's filled with tables under striped umbrellas, and there's a Vespa parked in the middle of it, as if the whole place is a front for the Italian tourism board. The indoor dining room—with it's black-and-white photos and vintage posters—is also pretty pleasant. Wherever you choose to sit, you can eat some quality spaghetti pomodoro and enjoy a sub-$10 glass of house red wine. " - team infatuation
