"Cafe St. Jorge is a local favorite for toast, coffee, and specialty Portuguese pastry like pastel de nata, a sweet egg custard tart. It’s usually a favorite WiFi and laptop work spot, but these days the coffee is still strong to go." - Caleb Pershan, Becky Duffett

"There are only a few places we would happily sit around all—a park bench with a nice view, a beach, or a movie theater that’s screening all of the Star Wars movies. Cafe St. Jorge is another one. This Porguese-style cafe on Mission serves Stumptown coffee and a menu that’s a mix of pastries like strawberry coffee cake and hot food (get the breakfast sandwich). They also have good wifi if you need to lug your computer in to do some work." - Will Kamensky

Such a cute little place! We ordered the Coconut Chia Pudding, Orange Blossom Waffle w/fruit & the Lox and Baked Egg Breakfast Slider on gluten free bread. Everything was delicious!

I want to really like this place but so far… not my cup of tea. The place is very cute - the service is phenomenal but the food was a bit underwhelming :( We ordered the loose goose, avo toast, quinoa bowl, and cinnamon toast. Loose goose was good, avo toast is also good (but not significantly better than the avo toast elsewhere) The quinoa bowl was underwhelming, and cinnamon toast felt like someone accidentally poured too much cinnamon on the toast? I will still go back to order the other stuff, maybe I just got all the wrong ones for first timers.

The internet is fast, there are power plugs, food is delicious and decently priced, the staff is friendly and the space is well lit — what else do you need for a space to hang out and do your work during the day and meet friends and hang out in the evening. Stop reading this review and bookmark this place to be your go-to place for your coworking and coffee needs.

Beautiful cafe with delicious breakfast options. The interior and feeling in the cafe is very nice and comfortable. Me and my girlfriend loved the place, so we got there twice in the same week!

Everytime I come here I feel like I've found some cool, unassuming, European, locals only Cafe. The food prep is incredibly fast even when busy and the staff is very welcoming. Seems to be growing in popularity despite it's humble vibe and run down neighboring buildings. All part of the charm. Great healthy food.

The smoked salmon toast was really special! Without a doubt my best toast consumed to date. Stumptown cold brew coffee was delicious, too. This cafe’s many tables were mostly occupied, but it wasn’t hard to find a seat. Room for improvement: make it clear if customers are to bus their own tables or not! Several tables were left dirty or cluttered with finished plates, and the cafe staff was not cleaning them up. This place needs a busser or a sign directing people to the bins to deal with their plates.

It's been almost 3 years since I last visited at Cafe St Jorge but every person who travels to SF gets a very clear instruction: best coffee in town - a must. I miss this place, the coffe, the chai latte, the nata's. Delish & cosy... Can't wait till I get to visit again.
