Mon Li Review - Malibu - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Mon Li is temporarily closed due to damage sustained in the Woolsey Fire. Located inside the Calamigos Beach Club in Malibu, Mon Li isn’t a bar at all. It’s a $150 per person cocktail tasting, and it’s one of the most unique drinking experiences in the city. A night here generally goes something like this: you walk in, you tour the gardens where most of the ingredients come from, and then you head to a small bar area inside where you’ll embark on a 12-course cocktail journey that includes things like a mole-infused negroni and an Old Fashioned sopped up inside of a sea sponge that you squeeze into your mouth. There are small food courses along the way for nourishment (most of which are excellent), but this is a cocktail-first situation, so you should expect to walk out a little stumbly." - Brant Cox
