California Fish Grill

California Fish Grill has awesome food for a great price. The fish and chips is perfect - the fish itself high quality and flaky while the batter is perfectly crisp and the right amount of oily. The fries are also really good, seasoned well and not too greasy. The chicken tacos are huge - lots of chicken and plenty of the other toppings to balance them nicely. The garlic bread is so good - grilled nicely and the garlic and parmesan is just right. Chips and salsa are even good too - some of the chips are heavily spiced and don't even need also to have good flavor. We Ubered over from the strip just for it and were so glad that we did.

I ordered online! I ordered the grilled chicken pick up time was 4:28pm and I got there at 4:24pm my chicken was cold and they put a drop of sauce 😡 chicken was good would have been better hot with me sauce.

Hello my name is “AJ” and my father is disabled and my mother is semi-disabled. Taking care of my Dad (getting him to take meds, eat right, and do physical therapy exercises) is a lot on her and I am stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. I am so glad for CA Fish Grill because I am confident that One, I can take a load off my mom’s shoulders with cooking and teo, I feel confident that the food from their menu is not junk food. My parents LOVE their salad and soup and my Dad (who is already tough to get him to eat anything) is finally eating! I had a delivery order the other day that was missing a couple of items. The actual store customer rep took my info and I heard back from the store manager AND the regional manager, Mr. Morales. It was a very minor error and out of several orders in the past few weeks, this was the first time that happened. I am very appreciative of the care and concern from the delivery drivers to the customer service/cashiers to the local management and regional management. This is a very caring restaurant.

My husband and I went here for lunch. I ordered the grilled chicken breast, zucchini, and Caesar salad. He ordered the fish tacos and Caesar salad. It was a busy afternoon, so our food took about 15 minutes before our food was ready at the counter for pick up. We ordered from their order kiosk, but still needed assistance in modifying our entree and drink selections. The employee was helpful in assisting us. The food was well prepared and flavorful. We'll visit again if we're in the area.

I come here very often and never have a problem. However, the one day I had a very long day and just wanted to get my food and relax I ordered a giant shrimp plate with rice and zucchini. Being that I come so often and never have a problem and again it was a long day I grabbed the bag and went straight home. Long story short got home and there was no rice you don’t know how much I wanted to cry iykyk. Called back and was told they would refund me. Boom here it is a week later I want to order more but hadn’t even gotten my refund. Called in spoke with Hailey and she immediately got to work with fixing my issue. Went above and beyond to make sure I was good. My husband went to pick up the order and everything was great they even threw in an extra clam chowder. Big ups to this team they definitely gave A+ customer service and can’t wait to order again. Food of course is fireeeeeeeeee!

The food and ingredients taste fresh. However, could use more salt and seasonings on the fish to bring out the flavor of the food. The fried fish is not left soaking in grease like Long John Silver's. Fresh asparagus. Salmon tasted great. Cauliflower rice available. Great plated presentation. Great customer service. Employees are knowledgeable of the menu and make good suggestions to upgrade our plates. Atmosphere is relaxed open seating. You can hear yourself think. Signs would be nice to let patrons know staff will clean up and take trays and plates when finished. Disappointed that they do not leave extra napkins out by the beverages. You end up having to either fall in line again to not be rude or go up to the counter and bother the cashier. Prices are a bit expensive, even to add 2 coconut shrimp on the side is like a regular meal...maybe because this grill is California prices? LOL Parking can be a challenge as this restaurant is right next to the In N' Out Drive Thru lanes and shares with several surrounding businesses. A must try though.

The food here is excellent, and you can get a good healthy complete meal for under $20. The shrimp tacos are great, as are the asparagus and street corn. I have been buying meals to go at this place for years and it has never failed me. A couple of the other locations are just as good. I highly recommend it.

DoorDash delivery is the best Dine in portions and quality is amazing This place is great, has outside seating and great vibes. Service both in person and delivery is equally amazing. Tip your cooks, this place and the owner deserve extra tips. Pease expand into Henderson!

Cheaper, heartier & more filling than a factor meal!! If you want fresh, clean food Definitely come here This is the place you could actually eat at every day of the week for how clean it is I've been here several times already and there's hasn't been anything I didn't like yet! I like trying something new whenever I visit & Everything's great! Only thing I'd say is, I wish they had fresh juices to pair with all these light meals rather than sugary ones...Doesn't really add up to me But they doooo have kombucha! Forever customer here regardless. Haven't been yet? Come!!!

Wow!!! Pleasantly surprised with fresh fish in the neighborhood! It has an upscale strip food taste. The food is very good the pics on the menu match the food on your plate! Wanted to try a vast array so ordered Go try dont wait!

So far this is a to-go place after working out and craving shrimp/fish. It has not disappointed the taste, quality and portions. There's no much about service as you place your order in the computer, and when order is ready you get up to pick it up. So if staff is not serving us directly maybe they could be on top of cleaning tables immediately after customers are done. It was 8pm and we noticed few dirty tables. Is a fast food place, in and out. While the restaurant appears clean and nice decorated, is just to eat and leave.

They know what they're doing. The portions, quality and freshness of all the dishes my fam and I had were outstanding. The fish and chips, portion was good if not great, super fresh not greasy and the fries had a nice crunch. For the price and portion a definite 10. The Cajun shrimp tacos were done perfectly. The mixture of the cabbage, pico and pickled onions were mouthwatering with their dynamite sauce. Anddd they come with rice and beans. On Tuesdays they run all taco combo specials that are definitely worth it. Notable mention goes to the tilapia dish. Not bland, good seasoning, good tasting and with rice and zucchini a hit. I wish they had burritos, but doesn't diminish the place definitely will come back again as the young man helping was helpful and provided recommendations.

Upon entering I was greeted warmly by staff. All ordering is done through the kiosk, which is convenient but a bit impersonal. As for the menu, I love that there are calories and protein on each item for our health conscious customers. As for the food, the flavor was great but I do wish that the skin on the branzino was a bit crispier. The restaurant was bright but there were plates still sitting on the tables and some rice on the booth at sat in.

Yes, it's a pricey and you're better off doing your own cooking at home, but it's soooo delicious. I don't come here often due to said price. Located in a popular plaza with other food establishments such as In n Out and Greek Chicken, parking may be chaotic during peak dining hours. I always get the grilled plate with Grilled Salmon ($15.99), garlic butter sauce on the side and brown rice (+$1.75) and roasted zucchini as my two sides. Everything is always fresh, pippin hot and flavorful. On rare occasion, I'll be craving for their fish tacos....also a solid choice.

First time coming here and i reslly liked the atmosphere inside. It felt fantastic. The food was okay, I the fish fillet was pretty delish but it honestly just tasted like any other fish and chips I had.

The Service is unmatched I have come in everyday for a week. My reason for repeating so many times this week is the employees service annd fresh entrees. Each employee almost always greets you even if they haven't assisted you with your order. Vincent has helped me a number of times and has never not had a dynamic attitude. Food is always hot & fresh and never have I had a long wait time. This place is super clean. I give this store 10 Stars ********** Hands Down

If you're looking for a casual, modern spot that serves fresh seafood, this is a great choice. My hubby and I had lunch here - he ordered the grilled Swai with rice and rosemary zucchini. While I had the grilled shrimp & avocado salad with shredded kale, roasted corn, tomato, feta cheese and with a lime vinaigrette. Our seafood was made to order, served fresh and tasted delicious.

Absolutely delicious and FRESH! I ordered Swai with garlic butter sauce and Quinoa Edamame and zucchini. It was out of this world tasty and fresh. I'm not a big fish eater and prefer chicken or steak but this fish was mmmmmm mmmmm good If you're a fan of Sea Bass or even Talapia then you should try SWAI. You won't regret it! My order was via Uber Eats so no clue about the service or ambiance.

I think this was the last time I'm ordering from this place. For the second time, I ordered take out and they again forgot to put one of my sides. I ordered a grill plate with two sides. One grilled zucchini and one miso slaw. And for the second time, they forgot to give me the miso slaw. As expensive as their prices are (for the portion size you get), a missing item on the order just makes the whole thing even more overpriced. Also, unfortunately, I don't realize I am missing something until I unpack it at home and by that time, I don't want drive all the way back just for a side dish. So, just a warning, if you order take out, make sure all the sides are there before you leave. I won't be coming back, so my own advise doesn't need to apply.

I love that this is a fast casual place where I can get great quality food! I love the fish tacos and the samon power bowl. The food is always tasty, filling, and makes me feel good that I'm eating clean and healthy. The workers checked on our table a few times too which was very nice.

I've been a few times and this place is consistent! Service is always good! Team members are always helpful! This is not full service restaurant. You place order at kiosk and they notify you when order is ready. However there is someone available if you have questions or need help. Ambience is nice, clean and inviting! It's definitely worth a try and is super affordable! Can't beat the price for seafood! Also....yall have to try their garlic butter! One word...AMAZING!

This spot is one of my favorite casual quick bites! Service here is always pretty quick as far as the order process to pickup your food. I love that they have kiosks where you can just quickly order what you want and they call you up when the food is ready. Reminds me of a cafeteria! Pricing is moderate for the quality of what you get and they have their own soda line if you are into something sweet and carbonated. I usually default to their brewed, unsweet tea, but those options are there for friends and family I have come here with. Everything here tastes pretty fresh and is made to order, which is a highlight to the food. Definitely worth going to if you are in the mood for fish & veggies! They offer various fish options like Branzino, Rockfish, Cod, Salmon, and for those who want something else, they do have chicken, calamari, and shrimp options too.

First time here, we are goodies for sure. Drive by this place now for months and finally decided to give it a try. The menu look great. We tried the fish tacos, Caesar salad, parmesan, green beans, and shrimp, skewer. Some of the food was cold and when I asked for the manager and asked ho. If this was supposed to be served cold her said " No, it's supposed to be served delicious ". Best answer we have ever heard, within minutes our food was back at our table and he was right, it was absolutely delicious. We will be back, not just because of the food, but because of the management and the way they handled our situation, thank you Timmy.

Best fish & chips in town. Well organized .. with computer order panel ...& a wide selection of sea food menu items...beyond mere fish s& chips. They also have special on Fish Taco Tuesdays. Standard order comes with three fillets of batter covered fish, a Kale / cabbage salad ( with a light dressing). Also a large helping of fries . Condiments provided...ketchup-vinegar - tarter sauce- soy sauce. All for less than $14. Of nite is their brand on batter.. crunchy & not soggy. Enhanced the moist texture & fresh fish flavors. -- Typically we take a bit of fish , salad & fries to munch later at home. -- Drinks are ice teas , special flavors sodas & colas. Great food , service , cleanliness & attitude from all the crew

Had the "create your own plate". It's a three-step ordering process. You choose a protein(1), A sauce(2) and two sides(3). I went with grilled salmon, sauce: cajun style. Served in a bed of street corn. Which is a premium side so it was two dollars extra and brown rice which was one dollar extra. I guess I didn't pay close enough attention to the menu when I was ordering. Because I didn't know I was being charged extra for my particular choice of sides. But it's OK because the food was terrific. Especially the salmon... it was soft and oh so flavorful. Lastly, all of the staff that I encountered were really friendly and helpful

The portions for the fish and chips were huge but its mostly breading, which i don't like. I did enjoy the shrimp tacos. The place is very clean and the service Was good with friendly staff.

We order from them probably once a week. We have always had good food and correct order. Not this time. The Corn was not on menu anymore. Husband ordered the Dynamite fries and didn't get the Dynamite. Just regular fries and I get Salmon with 2 sauces on side Nope. Tartar sauce different also. Very disappointed Also couldn't get Skewered shrimp added. Almost thought it came from Copycat restaurant

First time here and we hit it hard. Shrimp and avocado salad, balsamic glazed Brussels, Cajun style tuna, beans, cauliflower rice, grilled Mahi Mahi. Absolutely outstanding, delicious. Service top notch and staff ever so courteous. You have to stop by.

Always a good deal. I come here almost weekly if not every month depending on my schedule. Presentation of food is always nice and majority of the time it's a lot of food. Consistent quality and service which we like .

The only reason I'm putting 2 star is because the cashier was friendly and the food has been better previously. But for tonight's food I'm disappointed. I got the tilapia it was super dried out over cooked completely. my filet looked as if it jumped out of the ocean got ran over by a bus and made its way to my plate. My coco shrimps also over cooked hard when u bit into them. This is not the usual last time I came the food was great nothing like the over cooked stuff I got tonight . This was becoming my fav seafood spot but today it wasn't the best at all. Not sure if i wanna go back again.

Stopped in with my daughter on our way to a comedy show. I ordered the tilapia, which was delicious. My daughter had the Mahi-Mahi, and she said it was good. I had the brussel sprouts. They were a little burnt, so I only ate a few. (My only complaint) It's more of a fast food vibe. You order at the counter, and they call your name, if romantic is what you're looking for, this ain't it. I will be back. I wish they had one in Washington State.

I've been here multiple times since I wrote a review 6 months ago, and each visit has been just as fantastic. Gabriel is the best employee always there with a warm welcome and the fantastic service. I've brought many of my family, and friends here, and every time the food and experience have been consistently amazing. Highly recommend!

I really enjoy how the chicken is so clean, the garlic sauce is delicious and the rice is fluffy. I appreciate that they don't charge for extra sauce. I did a takeout order and it was ready right on time. Very affordable for a tasty meal. I really like this spot for a quick bite.

This place is a brilliant idea, because you'd never expect a walk-in style spot where you essentially order your food on a giant iPad to have genuine restaurant quality food. It's also very reasonably priced. You can go here and have an actual full meal where you feel as if you still went to a sit down seafood restaurant. Everything here is delicious.

Beer battered fish, coconut shrimp, calamari, was perfect. The tartar sauce was a little generic. The Thai sweet chili sauce was good. The Seabass grilled with dry seasoning and a side of garlic butter... Amazing. prices were very reasonable. Venue was clean, servers were informative of the menu. So good told my roommates and they ordered fish taco and a shrimp taco with clam chowder, but I'll let them leave their own review. The only thing I did not like I ordered a fountain drink and was all Pepsi products and 4 of the options were not in service. Get Coke products.

I was having a bad day and I was hungry. As I was running errands I saw California Fish Grill and came here since I wanted something healthy. I was a little overwhelmed with the menu since there were a few choices of fish. I ordered the branzino with zucchini and kale slaw. Yes, kale slaw. I was surprised because I got two generous pieces of fish. It was really good. I saved one for my partner to try. What I found a little awkward was the large metal tray. It made me feel like I was walking in a high school cafeteria. Since I was one person with one meal, this was a little weird. Their team is also there to tell everyone to leave the tray so they can pick it up. They must have spent some money on these huge metal trays. I loved this restaurant and it's my new favorite. Very good food.

California Fish Grill is not only delicious, but very affordable. I've had a variety of their menu items and have enjoyed everything I've tried. The fast casual concept is convenient and perfect when I have my little one with me. You order at the counter, get a pager, and come to the counter when the pager goes off. My food has always been ready in 10-15 minutes. That's not bad for food that is being cooked fresh. The employees have all been friendly and accommodating with grabbing sauces at order pick up. The dining room has always been clean too. I've had a variety of seafood options including rockfish, barramundi, grilled shrimp, and breaded shrimp. All of them have been delicious. My favorite preparation was with peri peri. The garlic butter sauce was rich and delicious. Their sides are so good too! I like that they have a nice mix of healthy and gluttonous sides to fit my mood that day. I've tried and loved the Brussels sprouts, street corn, sweet potato fries, and regular French fries. Even the chicken strips from the kid's menu were fresh and tasty. I tried a friend's fish and chips and will definitely need to order this for myself. I don't think you can go wrong here. Their prices are so reasonable for fresh, quality food. I suggested this spot after a play date and the whole group raved about the delicious food and how cheap it was to feed everyone. California Fish Grill will not disappoint. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. I'd love to see them expand to Henderson!

Quick and easy ordering at the kiosk. Very explanatory. Food is great and portions are good size for the price. Pricing is definitely right on target. All the fish dishes we have tried have been perfect. Just the right flavor and heat. Staff is always nice and friendly and offer to help while dining. The cajun salmon tacos are my fave.

Food: grilled tilapia with peri peri sauce, white rice and kale slaw. I ordered ocean slaw but they gave me kaleslaw, which tasted good. The tilapia was cooked perfectly and moist with a nice grilled texture but the peri peri sauce was a little boring. They give you a large serving of fish (like double serving). The rice reminded me of pilaf or uncle ben's rice and the slaws were refreshing. I think I'd try a different side instead of rice next time. Hubby had jumbo prawn with garlic butter, rice and ocean slaw which he liked. Ambiance: clean and simple, reminded me of a Chipotle. Service: Order at the counter then pick up and seat yourself.

Since they have a drive thru I want to say this is my favorite fast food place but idk if it's considered that LOL. CA fish grill is a chain that is fish and seafood centered. They have sandwiches, grilled and fried entrees with sides, bowls, salads, and tacos. They additionally carry plant based items, It's basically like choose healthy or fried / grilled or fried. I go here for lunch all the time but order take out. I love that everything is fresh and their healthy side options like sautéed veggies, brown rice, and cauliflower rice. They also have less healthy items like fried fish or shrimp with fries. Standard sides are included versus premium sides that have an up charge. White rice French fries, ocean slaw, kale slaw, zucchini, and beans are some normal sides. Premium sides include brown rice, cauliflower rice, Brussels sprouts, dynamite fries, sweet potato fries, fire roasted street corn, and asparagus. For the grilled specials they have options of preparation/seasoning like cajun style, olive oil with herb, garlic butter, or plain. I usually go for the grilled specials versus a bowl, I'll do salmon, and my two sides. I feel like it's a good value to have a healthy seafood meal for under $15. They have salads and meat alternatives. I want to dine in because the plating looks nice for a casual almost fast food place. I like that they have wild caught salmon. You can get a taco starting at $3.50 and meals start at $9.50. They also do seasonal or limited items.

The service of this place is phenomenal, as well as the quality of the fish itself. The general manager, Luigi, was super funny and easy to converse with and made my first time there very welcoming. So far, I've tried the miso-glazed salmon and the mahi-mahi, and both were delicious! I look forward to trying new things here!

Consistency is key for me when I eat out or post mates something and this is consistently amazing! I have gotten the Branzino and the Cajun fish tacos and both of those plates are absolutely amazing! They also do a good job of never messing up an order when you are ordering thru an app which I have come to appreciate late a lot these days when it comes to good service! This is 5 stars all the way and will definitely be looking forward to my next meal from here again!

Very nice place. I couldn't decide what I wanted so I picked the Hawaiian Trio with fries and cauliflower rice which was very good. The workers were very nice and helpful. We got our food pretty quickly. The restaurant was very neat and clean. The workers even came around to see if everything was ok and if we needed anything. I would definitely go back there and the price is reasonable.

Tried it here for the first time & food was really good & reasonably price. The place is big, w/ relaxing music. It was a refuge from the heat outside. Added to this pleasant experience was the excellent service provided by JULIE. The rest of the crew were friendly & attentive. Will surely come back & recommend to family & friends.

Have past this place so many times, and have always wanted to stop by and try it out. Well today was finally the day I did. After reading all the reviews. I was almost certain I would have a good meal. Which to no surprise I had a great meal. I was very happy with the service ,from the time I walked in to the time I left , I felt very comfortable and not rushed at all. The lady whom took my order was very friendly and polite helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable not out of the world special but decent. The food I had ordered was flavorful and came out hot. The seasoning was spot on the shrimp and fish were perfectly cooked, not dry or chewy at all. The kale slaw was the star of the show I truly enjoyed it. I was kind of not expecting much as I don't like kale and am a snob when it come to coleslaw. But this caught me off guard and surprised me I really like the flavor and the fact it was not overpowering on it. Great experience will definitely go back

First time at this location. The high top chairs are extremely uncomfortable with no feet support so your legs just swing like a child. Moved to a booth and better. The food is delicious.

If you love good fish & chips, this is a chain which would certainly satisfy. The only drawback is there is not enough variety of fish. The fish they use for their fish and chips is a swai. The swai was a very good texture, nice and moist and not overcooked. This is the first time I've had swai done this fashion, I'm used to a pollack or a haddock or even a cod sometimes. I also ordered a catfish, that was a bit of a disappointment because the size was a bit small, I would have expected at least two pieces of fish. I did mention to the manager why they didn't have salmon for a fish and chip substitute also, but he said he wished that was on the menu also, I think they should have fish and chips with a choice of which fish you would like as opposed to a generic fish and chips. The chips could have stood a longer deep fry to get a crunch on them. One main gripe is the lack of a malt vinegar. Along with that is that awful "koleslaw", they serve with it, who the hell eats kale as a substitute for cabbage for coleslaw, I feel they might want to rethink using raw kale for "their" version of coleslaw. Since I'm no fan of coleslaw anyway I opted the substitute the sautéed zucchini instead but then again it was such a dinky portion it really was not very satisfying. The fish is definitely worth it because it was so good but the sides like the "Koleslaw" and any other substitutions could stand a lot of help.

The food was pretty great. Fish tacos were better than most quick service places. The dynamite shrimp bowl was great. Prices are steeeeeep. Lunch was $35 for fish taco plate and dynamite shrimp bowl. Again, good food, not sure it's good enough for the price. Overall, liked it. Seating area was nice. Would go back, but more of an "on occasion" thing, not a regular spot for us. Staff was friendly, but you self checkout and order, which I'm not a fan of. Also, California name fits the name of the store since they clearly hate the 2A community. Will definitely be considering other options after seeing this sign. Had I seen it going in, probably would have gone elsewhere. Do better, guys.
