Why New Restaurants Continue to Open During the Coronavirus Pandemic | Eater

"A second neighborhood bagel shop location quietly opened on April 15 with the safety of staff and customers in mind: offerings were pared back (primarily whole bagels with cream cheese) to streamline operations, orders were often capped (around 1,600 bagels) to prevent crowds, and managers surveyed employees about commute methods and household risk to determine who could safely work there. The new location was intended to replace lost farmers-market and catering income so employee salaries would remain intact, and some staff were paid to work remotely supporting online ordering and customer service." - Nick Mancall-Bitel

Google
One of the best bagel spots in DC! We had a great experience, and luckily we found a table that fit all of us even though we were a big group. I loved the variety of options on the menu and really appreciated the ability to customize our own bagels. Here are my ratings: • Big Turkey 8/10 • The Sun City (no bacon) 10/10 • Cinna-bun latte 6/10 (I couldn’t really taste the cinnamon) • Hibiscus lime refresher 7/10 • White mocha latte 8/10 I’d definitely recommend this place! I also loved the interior, the color palette, and the seating layout, even though there weren’t that many seats available.

Google
Call Your Mother is hands down one of the best bagel spots in DC! From the moment you walk up to the colorful storefront, the energy is warm and welcoming. The bagels are next level — perfectly chewy with a creative range of flavors. I got the Royal Palm bagel and it blew me away. The Thunderbird sandwich was stacked, flavorful, and super satisfying. Even the coffee was on point. The staff was super friendly and efficient, and even though there was a line, it moved quickly. Totally worth the hype — I’ll be coming back every chance I get.

Google
Super helpful about gluten allergy. They have the gf yucca bread which is great and were very helpful when we called about the allergy. Breakfast sandwiches are great.

Google
Classic nox or Royal Palm was served in everything bagel with cream cheese, vege, salmon, onion, and caper. It was too delicious. Their chocolate babka was also satisfying. It had chunk of dark chocolates, tasted better than a chocolate croissant. This location doesn't really have a good indoor table. Outdoor seating is available but no shade. Coldbrew drink was out so that was quite disappointing. Other than that service was good.

Google
Very nice walk in atmosphere, Greeted with good friendly service, in & out on our pick up order. The Maple Salt and Pepper bagel sandwich was a great choice for my first visit! Reccomend.

Google
You can debate quality of bagels in any given city all day long. But when it comes to the versatility, creativity and straight-up deliciousness of their sandwich menu, they’re one of the best bagel chains to ever do it. I almost always order online at this location and have never had any problems with getting my order on time.

Google
We ordered some bagel sandwiches from the lunch menu and they were nicelly filled with deli (just enough portion size for a lunch). The option with salmon and avocado is fresh and very tasty.

Georgia Golla

Google
On my bucket list to try and it did not disappoint! Truly a great bagel sandwich with plenty cream cheese and cut perfectly well. I got the one with smoked salmon and it was delicious. Didn't take too long and they have a good system going. Cold Brew was a plus and really tasty. One star less for service, cashier wasn't rude but when ordering (i ordered multiple things) I would say an item and she wouldn't say anything to kind of notion for me to say the next thing. Not a look or word, kind of silent and then eventually we got to the total. It was still fine! But made for an awkward encounter lol.

Yelp
What a fitting name for this bagel shop, now I get what all the hype is about! Incredible bagel sandwich creations, ranks up there with the best I've ever had. Definitely the best I've had in DC. Wish there were more veggie options but you can always build your own which solves the issue. They get real busy on the mornings of weekend so best bet is to order online.

Yelp
This place is so cute! Came here for a work meeting to chat over coffee and am looking forward to the chance to return for actual food because it's shockingly well priced for breakfast/lunch in DC. Our coffees were ordered and produced within 5 minutes and we were able to sit on two stools in the window area to chat. There are a total of eight window stools available, so it is a somewhat-cramped, grab-and-go type space. There are plentiful picnic tables outside which were not used today because of the rain. A great spot for meetings when the weather is good.

Yelp
The Thunderbird is the best bagel sandwich Ive ever had. The combination of the maple bagel with the salty chicken sausage and spicy honey/jelly was perfect. It is a little messy with the spicy honey so make sure to grab some napkins. I ordered my bagel without american cheese and there was an upcharge for removing the cheese I went on a Monday at noon and there were only two people ahead of me ordering and a few waiting for their orders. It still took about 20mins to get the bagel so I think ordering ahead is the best option so it's ready when you arrive- especially on the weekends when there's a line out the door. There are a few seats inside and a couple of tables outside but they'll fill up quickly if it's nice out so plan on taking the bagel to go.

Yelp
Rivaling New York bagels, we went back to this place twice in just a 3 day trip. I would order the latkes in the Mountain View on their own if I could. Bagels elite but the fillings to die for. Pastrami and Bacon were excellent, it's tough to resist the meat option, but trust me you'll wanna go with the Mountain View.
google avatar

Chelsea A.

Yelp
I love the sandwiches here! So glad that this one is here so that I don't have to go all the way to northwest. I definitely say order ahead especially on weekends because it can be popping here. Depending on day and time parking can be a hassle. But sandwiches are always a hit. My oat milk matcha was perfect. I love this place. It's also so cute inside and out, has some tables and the workers are always pleasant
google avatar

Haleigh K.

Yelp
I was disappointed in this bagel. It was chewy/dense in a not good way, shmear was thin and pricey without enough salmon to justify it. It's a cute looking spot, service was fine.
google avatar

Joshua H.

Yelp
Got the lox bagel and a breakfast bagel. Overall the lox bagel was terrific and the breakfast bagel was pretty good. The quality of the bagels were really good and the cream cheese and ingredients tasted very fresh.

Yelp
You cannot go to the east coast without giving the bagels a try! Call Your Mother Deli has multiple locations in the DC area. We were here on a weekend and the place was very popular (mostly to-go). We went early so we did not experience the long wait as other patrons have mentioned! There were a lot of different options to choose from. The bagels were a bit pricey, but pretty delicious. The bagel shop does not have inside seating, but the shop opens up to a beautiful lobby of an adjacent hotel. There are plenty of outdoor seating for summer days! Friendly and quick service.
google avatar

Sania M.

Yelp
A delicious staple in cap hill and DuPont. You will see people lining up on weekends here and yeah maybe a few phone calls are made too . I have tried every bagel on the menu but right now my favorite on rewind is the tuna melt on the everything bagel. It is everything you want for tuna melt. Rich , creamy, and full of yummy tuna. However, instead rye maybe pack this yumminess on an everything bagel and let me know what you think! Also call your mom

Yelp
Sooooo good! My daughter did call her mother!!! She used to come here when she worked at the Hill for 8 years! She recommended call your mother and indeed, best bagel shop for sure! This location is near Capitol Hill & the Navy Yard! So clientele usually Capitol Hill folks and workers in the neighboring businesses, which includes the Navy Yard... Service was quick even with a line but during today's visit there was no line at all! Cool vibe bench seating along the wall. Pastel green & pink exude clean and happy! I definitely like this location better than the one in Georgetown!
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Lotta locations throughout Washington DC. Sad to say a little disappointed with the bagel. The texture of the bagel was not quite right. It was a little dense. Not chewy at all. The Mocha was quite good. Not too sweet. Lines can get a little long.
google avatar

Yelp
2 words: go here. I have tried many bagel spots in the capitol south neighborhood and CYM still reigns supreme. This time I decided to switch up my regular bacon, egg and cheese and got the pastrami, egg and cheese and honestly it was probably one of the top 5 bagels I've ever had. For a little over $10 for just a bagel it is a little pricey but 100% worth it. I can see this place getting pretty busy so I recommend ordering online for pickup so you don't have to wait to dig in! The store is also a little smaller on the inside but they do have picnic tables outside so you can enjoy your yummy bagels.
google avatar

Markiea K.

Yelp
My favorite place in DC for quality breakfast sandwiches. The Mountain View is my go to! I prefer ordering online and picking up the order due to its popularity, which often leads to crowds. However, the crowd is completely justified. Moreover, the place is always clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
Good bagel place! They do not skimp on the spread or the other savory fillings they have on the menu. the bagel itself was also so warm and buttery. the only downside to this place is it is very small. there are only 2-3 tables. they have outdoor seating but it was raining so that wasn't an option. the wall was pretty cool! the cashier was supper kind too. i would come back to try their other options.
google avatar

Yelp
Call Your Mother does not miss!! Our first time at the Capitol Hill location and we were not disappointed. Super, super busy on a Saturday morning, so placing an order well ahead of time worked best for us (~45min ahead of time). The Sun City and Thunderbird are our fav bagel sandwiches -- a perfect weekend treat. We sat at the picnic tables outside of the small shop, but it was all fairly busy on a Saturday! Such a nice neighborhood spot and makes for a perfect weekend slow morning addition.

Yelp
Call Your Mother has become a beloved haunt for me, thanks in large part to their irresistible Mountain View breakfast sandwich. Time and time again, I've found myself drawn to its deliciousness, and I've lost count of how many times I've indulged in this culinary masterpiece. What sets Call Your Mother apart is their unwavering consistency--the Mountain View sandwich never fails to impress with its perfectly balanced flavors and satisfying components. Each bite is a symphony of taste that leaves me craving more. In addition to the food itself, I must commend the overall experience at Call Your Mother. The ambiance is inviting, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is always buzzing with positive energy. If you find yourself at Call Your Mother, do yourself a favor and order The Mountain View. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. It's a testament to the culinary excellence that this establishment consistently delivers.

Yelp
Finally made it here as the line wasn't crazy out the door. Good Barracks Row breakfast option for a quick meal. They have several picnic tables out front. I'd suggest an order ahead if you want to speed it up. I tried the Mountain View mostly for the mashed avocado. I switched to an everything bagel. It was a nice meal. The overall flavor could have used something to spice it up. Maybe next time I'll ask for something...maybe hot sauce? Gotta go everything bagel Give them a try.

Yelp
I was excited to check out Call Your Mother because my love for bagels grew after living in NY for a few years. I came in on a Sunday afternoon - to note this place can get pretty busy after 12/1pm. I would recommend coming early but the line does move pretty fast. As I scanned the menu, I loved that they made everything so clear and even had a visual for the types of bagels available. I thought that was a unique, creative touch! I ended up ordering the Sun City with bacon. I loved the spicy honey that was added to a classic bacon, egg and cheese. Overall I thought it tasted great! Don't think it compares to NY bagels but decent for DC. Also felt the price was pretty steep at $10.50 but still worth trying at least once. Also note their is limited seating indoors and a few picnic tables available outside if it's a nice day to sit and enjoy your bagel.
google avatar

Ali T.

Yelp
This is controversial - but I think Call Your Mother is mostly just "ok". It gets a lot of hype, and the line is often quite long, but truly the bagels and bagel sandwiches are just above acceptable when compared to NY or NJ bagels. For DC, Call Your Mother may be among the bagel leaders. The aesthetic is fun, the bagels are reliable, and there are locations all over the city. Though, I do think that they could do a better. Some areas for improvement: * Larger portions The bagels are thin, and don't come with much cream cheese/topping. Once, I paid extra for capers and it only had two actual capers on it. * Better community engagement While this isn't exactly the fault of the business, the customer base here is very wealthy, white, and often rude. I regularly pass this establishment and see customers treating unhoused community members poorly. It's an especially bad look, since two bagels and two coffees here are easily over $25 - That's high, even for DC.

Yelp
A must for a quick bite to eat in the early morning. Our group went as it was the only breakfast spot open on a Sunday Morning and we were pleasantly surprised! The color, ambiance, style, and warm welcome by the staff started out morning off on the right foot and the coffee was great as well. I had the Latkes which were just enough to start the morning and they have a variety of bagels to meet your savory or sweet needs. Plan to eat outdoors on the small patio but during peak hours, grab and go would be a more likely option.
google avatar

Porsha H.

Yelp
Love bagels? Good coffee? Good ambiance? Then go to the call your mother. They describe themselves as a jew-ish deli and they offer a lot of great options. We ordered the royal palm and the Boca club. Both were amazing and very filling. The service was friendly and fast. They have a small area inside to eat as well as picnic tables outside to dine. I like the picnic style because you get to sit next to new people (if you want). Great place to have a good meal and people watch

Yelp
Call Your Mother Cap Hill has quick service and delicious food. Not to mention the decor is adorable. I couldn't help but notice the 1990's flip phones staring at me while I was paying for my order. I remembered my mom and what she used to say back then. Leesa, it's mom. Are you going to be home for dinner? What time do you get off from work? What a great name, location, and vibe. I felt like I wasn't calling my mama but she was there with me in my memories after seeing those phones! Thanks for keeping it real Call Your Mother Cap Hill. We all need a reminder to call the ones we love. My cinnamon raisin bagel with an iced coffee hit the spot before the Fourth of July parade and festivities began.

Yelp
Soooo being an NJ native, it gets a bit critical when it comes to sandwiches and challah! I can say they did a great job with my two sandwiches. I had the BLTA and added turkey. I was told the turkey was an upcharge but I didn't expect it to be ~$5. It's safe to say I won't be doing THAT again, ha! Beautiful sandwich though! The jalapeño-herb mayo is so good and compliments the 'cado with all its green-y goodness! Of course the bacon was noticeable, thick, and tasty. I had it with turkey so I can't say if it is enough to have it alone in the sandwich, but I have provided a photo. The challah did not disappoint. I've also had the big turkey, which I enjoyed but it wish had avocado involved. The cinny-crunch latte with oat milk is tasty, although there is nothing crunchy involved as the name suggests. I would suggest that they list how much additions to your order cost. This is especially relevant for common things such coffee/latte dairy substitutions. I also wish this location stayed open for at least 1 more hour into the afternoon.
google avatar

Yelp
Always see a line out this place and finally had a chance to check it out. Interesting bagel sandwiches, but the one I got was pretty good. Pastrami egg and cheese. I've never had pastrami, but this was pretty good. For a bagel sandwich $10 was a reach, but it was good. The iced chai was not my fav at all, that wasn't good.
google avatar

Helena M.

Yelp
So I love a good bagel, and when I saw this menu I knew I had to try it! Located in the cutest location with decent amount of outdoor seating, I tried the thunderbird and the Royal Palm. The Thunderbird was definitely my favorite and the spicy honey and maple and pepper bagel complimented each other so well. I'm an avocado girlies so I had to add one ofc. It was a messy eat, but I don't regret it! The Royal Palm was your typical lox sandwich with plenty of cream cheese to go around. Overall, loved this aesthetically pleasing bagel shop in a great location!
google avatar

Emily V.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place. It had been on my list for years! I got the lox bagel which is my standard order at bagel shops. It was pretty good! I've tried better this year (I have eaten a lot of lox bagel sandwiches lol) but this one was good. I would go here again and try something else as well. I like the creative flavors here. My friend got a cheddar bagel with apple cream cheese which also sounded really good!
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
Came here late on a Sunday morning. I was able to order right away, but seating is super limited, definitely more of a grab and go place unless you come at an off time. The line picked up to order after I placed mine, so it's also possible you'll run into a more substantial wait time than I encountered Since I live in a relatively bagel starved city, I'll usually have my eye out when traveling for bagel spots that have something I'm not able to get back home. While the menu isn't huge, there were enough unique options that compelled me to visit on my trip to the area. I had a BYO sandwich with chicken sausage, candied salmon cream cheese, and eggs on a maple salt & pepper bagel. I really enjoyed the out of the ordinary flavor both the bagel and spread brought to the sandwich. The sweet maple went really well with the Smokey salmon. The maple overpowered the bit of sweetness from the spread, but you can definitely taste it if you have the cream cheese on its own With that said, the quality of the bagel was just okay. I feel like I'd have a significantly lesser experience if I went for a more traditional breakfast sandwich. There also aren't enough unusual options where I'd continue to be interested in making this a go to spot if I were in the area Overall, solid bagel spot that I think is worth giving a try for their number of unique offerings. However I wouldn't make this a frequent stop if I lived in DC
google avatar

Nancy J.

Yelp
The place is quaint with a steady stream of people in and out. The menu is there as a guide. You can make a sandwich to your liking. The bagels were fresh! Highly recommend
google avatar

Kat T.

Yelp
This place is so cute! And the food was delicious. They service was good and fast. I got the pizza bagel without pepperoni and in an everything bagel. Man was this awesome. It was super flavorful and the little burnt parts of the bagel added such a good flavor. 10 out 10 Hubs got the sun city bagel with back. on an everything. One of the best breakfast bagels he ever had. 10 out 10 I got a chai tea. A bit weak for me on the chai flavor. 7 out 10 Ans he got a black coffee 10 out 10
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
First time here and orders the Sonata with impossible sausage. I was starving but O somehow expected more from the sandwich. It's mostly bread, and by the pictures I expected otherwise. The Sonata comes with veggie bites the overall flavor wasn't anything to write to home about. However, it was ready sooner than they said which was nice. Parking in DC is always a challenging so you may have to circle the block a few times to find something. He place was packed and all the outdoor seating (benches) were taken.
google avatar

Logan F.

Yelp
Food was very good I was not expecting all the flavor to hit me. The spicy honey was the cherry on top. The service for me was good cause the line was out the door but ordered ahead. The ambiance was very nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Their latkes and bagel is always good. It's a must to stop by and grab their latkes. We will be back soon!

Yelp
Don't forget to Call Your Mother! Yes, don't forget to check in with your mom, but also, don't forget to Call Your Mother when you're in D.C. It's the best bagel you'll have in the area. I've only visited Call Your Mother Deli on Capitol Hill, and it's always such a pleasant experience. Located in the Eastern Market neighborhood (not far from the Capitol), it's takeout only or eat-at-the-window-counter at this spot, along with some outdoor tables for when the weather fares better. Staff is friendly and nearby are other restaurants and shops. The menu features different bagel sandwiches, breakfast and lunch, or you can choose your own adventure with the different kinds of flavors here. I've had the sun city sandwich with pastrami and the mountain view. Both were fantastic. The sun city sandwich has egg, cheese, a spicy honey on an everything bagel, and I highly recommend you opt for the pastrami over the bacon. The pastrami was incredibly delicious! The mountain view bagel sandwich features smashed avocado, latke, eggs, cheese and spicy honey on a plain bagel. I love avocado and latkes, so this was a win-win situation. For a creamier bagel sandwich, this one is your jam. Every time I'm in the D.C. area, I know exactly where to go for bagels. This is the best around town, and you can see that from the lines that form. Order ahead if you don't want to wait, which many do here at this Capitol Hill location. Or you can check out the other locations throughout the D.C. area.

Yelp
Food was great...place was packed...lots of locals and travelers combined. Ambiance was fantastic. Will definiteiy stop by next trip rlw
google avatar

Julie W.

Yelp
I am in love with the Mountain View, so delicious. The food is so so good with tons of options and the staff is super accommodating to customizing your food. A little bit of a long wait if you order in person but nothing I would skip out on because the bagels are that good.
google avatar

Tommy V.

Yelp
Call Your Mother was a great visit on a weekday visit. I was craving a breakfast bagel and stopped by. Parking was relatively easy to find. The prices are good for DC and the stores service was quick and easy. * The ThunderBird - an egg and chicken sausage bagel which I changed to be put in an everything bagel was delicious!! It came out hot and the cheese was so melted and delicious. The bagel was well seasoned and had great flavor. It was also a great size that filled me up for breakfast * Matcha Latte - tasted as good as I could expect for a bagel place! The flavor was there and was quickly made. No complaints
google avatar

M C.

Yelp
If you want to get overcharged for the most mid bagels in the dmv, then this is it!! If you want it dry and flavorless, then look no further. Really don't know what the hype is all about
google avatar

Grace B.

Yelp
There bagels are not that good and theyre wayyy over priced. Their outdoor seating is nice, but its always very crowded and their service is very slow. I live right by them and their customers are often very inconsiderate, leaving trash and making the sidewalk inaccessible, as well as parking in a no-parking zone "for just a second." They have a cute aesthetic that is very instagram-able, but that's why it's hyped, not for their bagels.
google avatar

Laresa M.

Yelp
I finally made it to this great establishment after hearing such great things! We ordered online so we could grab and go. I had the 12px hot Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte and my friend had an iced mocha. We split the bacon, egg, and cheese with spicy honey on an Everything Bagel. I haven't stopped thinking about this bagel ever since! While the honey wasn't exactly spicy, at all, I didn't mind. The honey added a flavor I had never thought would be so good with a breakfast sandwich! It was a two-handed sandwich for sure and splitting it was perfect for our mild-moderate appetites. They waited to add the ice to his mocha until we arrived to pick our order up which is such a thoughtful touch. I love their swag and their unique hot coffee cups are worth saving and using again! I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Yelp
Everything here is AMAZING. I would come to DC just for these bagels. This time I got the sun city, and it was out of this world. The maple flavors with the cracked pepper and the decadent sausage -- AMAZING!!!!!! Come here if you're in the area.
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
I wasn't very impressed with the bagel. It wasn't bad but not exactly something I would eat again. It's definitely for people with more refined taste buds. The service was quick and the place was packed.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
Call Your Mother in Washington DC is a Jewish deli serving some of the best bagels I've had outside of the NYC / NJ area. A picture is worth a 1000 words but the only word I have for this bagel is hungry. The Sun City bagel with bacon, eggs, american & cheddar cheeses, and spicy honey on an Everything bagel could have been easily served in an NYC bagel shop and no one would've guessed that it was actually coming out of DC. We are definitely impressed
google avatar

Krystal B.

Yelp
Wow! Their bagels are awesome!! If you're looking for a hangover cure or a quick breakfast bite, this place is for you! Pro-tip: order online before you get there since the line is usually long. I ordered the vegan bagel with pickled veggies and chickpeas! It's was soooo good!
google avatar

Erica T.

Yelp
Pretty darn good. For someone who doesn't really care for bagels, I completely enjoyed both of the bagel sandwiches I ordered (a breakfast sandwich and a tuna melt-don't judge me). Both sandwiches were well made: good ratio of bagel to meat/other accompaniments, quality ingredients, and bursting with complementary flavors. Bagels tend to be too firm compared with other types of bread for my liking, and these were no exception, but I enjoyed them nonetheless.

Yelp
This is a great place to grab a bagel or sandwich! Had lunch here while in DC- the place is small but bright and cheerful! The staff is friendly- the food was great- not much seating- more of a grab and go- but there are a few picnic tables outside. It was a beautiful morning so the picnic tables were perfect- they are more or less communal tables- so be aware of that. Bought extra sandwiches for our long drive home and they were great at dinner. There are a few locations and I'm going to try one of the others when I'm back in town.

Yelp
I have been patronizing CYM since it's first location in Park View. I just think the consistency in quality food and service is uniform through all locations that I have visited. Today I ordered a CYOB hot breakfast sandwich and mistakenly left off eggs. The manager graciously fixed it so swiftly and with so much politeness, I had to share an amazing review. Alongside the great service, the food is delicious. I've had their tuna melt sandwich, turkey blta (not sure if it's still available), and a plethora of their cookies (confetti + choco chip are the best ) - everything I've ever ordered have been delicious!! Peep my CYOB hot sandwich order, replicate it and thank me later lol. I will always come back. Definitely a DC cornerstone at this point.

Yelp
Call Your Mother is a bagel sandwich shop. The location I visited is on 8th street in Eastern Market DC. The building is colorful and whimsically decorated, with cellphones from different decades hanging on the wall as decoration. The service was good, and the ordering process was easy, with one line for placing orders and another for picking up. I thought my bagel was pretty bland and basic. I wasn't particularly impressed, but I think the deli is an okay option if you're in the area and craving bagels.

Yelp
I've loved visiting all the different CYM locations. This place was quite crowded on a Saturday during the late morning/early afternoon hours. We ordered our food online which originally said a 32-37 min wait but when we completed the order the time jumped up to a 45 minute. And that was an accurate estimate. While the bagels today weren't all winners, CYN still gets five stars for the efficiency, flavor exploration, and higher than average rate of fantastic taste. What we got: The Boca Club - 4* super great flavor! I loved the fish but after half a sandwich I was wishing for a pallet change. I'd recommend this one. The Sonata - 3* not super flavorful, especially compared to the Boca, but even on its own it was on the blander side.

Yelp
Holy crap this place is good! Probably one of the best bagel I have had in a while. The only complaint I have is that there is not a ton of seating so it gets crowded inside the store. Would definitely recommend this if you are wanting a good bagel!

Yelp
We are not from DC, but I will admit this was not a lovely experience. The coffee is fine and the shop is adorable, but the staff is not friendly. I work in the coffee industry as a barista myself, and I wish the staff was kinder. I received an eye roll when I asked for a water, and the person taking my order was very unfriendly. It doesn't take much effort to perform a small task even if it is convenient, especially if it's your job. I heard great things about the shop, and I was disappointed with the customer service, as I was made to feel like an inconvenience.
