Incredible dishes! We started with biscuits which were warm flaky and heavenly with perfect butter. Celery was refreshing and crunchy - highly recommend as a contrast to biscuits. We also got calamari which were perfectly crispy, I was not the biggest fan of the sauce, but my husband liked it. For main course both the rosemary chicken and the steak were amazing! In terms of seating we got the table on the patio which had great atmosphere except for trains passing by. I think next time I would book indoor table, but we 100% want to come as all the food was incredible.

Cannonball is where it’s at! Great tasting food, cozy atmosphere and lovely staff. Every dish I’ve had tasted great. Salads -bright perfectly coated dressing. Of course the biscuits. Flaky buttery crispy -perfection. The pommes aligot their version of accompanying mashed potatoes to the steak -amazing tasting. Steak -satisfying texture with a nice crisp on the outside but tender inside. Can’t wait to go back again making it my 3rd time!

Cannonball is a restaurant that makes me wish I lived in South Pasadena. The interior and patio are beautiful, and the dishes are delicious. The standout dish for us was the buttermilk biscuits with whipped honey butter. it is definitely a must order and we were considering ordering a second round. Other favorite bites were the super crispy, french fries with aïoli, and the olive oil cake which was served with crème fraîche and honey.

a new restaurant in the neighbourhood. not a big menu, ordered a salad, biscuits and steak. the biscuit stands out as it’s really flaky and buttery. overall everything was nice, feel that portion runs a little small. service is good, tentative.

The menu is limited but everything we had was great. We started with the biscuits and shaved celery salad. The biscuits were divine and almost felt like a desert instead of an appetizer. Very flaky and the honey butter is delicious. The shaved celery with dates was fantastic as well. For our entrees we got the trout and the steak. The portions are on the smaller side but it's not lacking in flavor at all. I enjoyed the steak more than the trout just because it was heartier. The trout was cooked exceptionally well with the skin perfectly crisp. I would love to try more of the smaller plates so next time I'll go with more people. We didn't have a reservation but showed up right when they opened and asked to sit at the bar. This worked out perfectly, even on a Friday night!

The famous flaky buttermilk biscuits and burgers from Everson Royce Bar are now available at Cannonball in South Pasadena!! Yay!! This place is such a gem. I have dined there twice already, other than the biscuits & burgers, I also highly recommend the shrimps (so flavorful w/crispy shells that I ate them shells & all lol) and the yellowfin tuna tartare (so refreshing)! I also love the celery salad. The steak, perfectly executed, just personally wish it was ribeye (a preference nothing wrong with the dish). The clams were yummy and creative. Love the cocktail list. The thunderbird martini was perfect! Definitely will be back to try more! Parking: valet, street meters, and a paid structure nearby It is also just a stone throw from the South Pasadena Metro Station. I took that twice to the resto from DTLA. Perfect. Resy reservation is highly recommended.

Cannonball is everything a restaurant should be. Welcoming, kind, thoughtful, supportive, friendly staff + incredible interiro design that is warm, stylistic, and sexy simultaneously + the food was so well done, with beautiful flavors. Everything we had was delicious! From the biscuits, to the grilled shrimp, and finishing with the chicken breast over butternut squash puree and the steak over puree'd potatoes, every bite was more special than the last. Now my favorite part, THE DRINKS. These drinks are crafted to perfection, well balanced, and incredible. I've had the old fashioned, and the early (gin drink) and they were perfect. I also heard the neighboring table excitedly talking about how deep their whiskey goes - as a bourbon lover, I will be diving into this next time.

Abolustely LOVED Cannonball. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They checked up on us the right amount of times and always kept our water glasses filled despite it being a busy night. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Cocktails were perfect. FOOD: We just got a few shareables and split everything. You can't come here and NOT get the biscuits. The most perfect, flaky things in the world. The shrimp were our favorite. We got fries of course which were delicious. And the tuna tartare. Overall everything was perfect and we will definitely be coming back!

Came on a Thursday night and walked in. They had a table for 2 for us. There's street parking. We sat on the 2nd floor. It's a nice dark ambiance. Great for date nights and small groups. It's more of a tapas place. Buttermilk biscuits ($14)- these are so so good. The apple cinnamon butter is so good. You have to get this! They take 30 min to prepare. Shaved celery salad ($15)- people recommend, it doesn't seem good but it was really really good. The dates were good and feta cheese was a great compliment. It's great for drinks and cocktails. They have a rotating list so the list is always changing. Stolen moments $15- gin high ball was super super good. Sour and tart Milk and honey martini- gin and vermouth was interesting and pretty good. They have a super exclusive access to this Japanese whisky called Ichiro Malt Chichibo. Apparently the owner knows a guy that imports this whisky. My friend tried a shot and he loved it. It was pretty caramelized and the alcohol didn't burn.

The shining stars were the honey biscuits, prawns and the cocktails. The hanger steak and burger had great flavor but found the meat a bit tough and both could be juicier. And fries could use more pizazz. But the aioli and sauces were amazing. The salad and calamari were good and standard. All in all probably one of the best fine dining places in south pas. That biscuit is truly other worldly.

This is it, y'all. The perfect bistro. I can't say enough good things about this place, and I dare say I don't have a single bad thing to say, either. I told my husband this place feels like the end of a feel-good movie where the beloved underdog that always dreamed of opening a restaurant, and finally does it to rave reviews. Despite its buzz, what I love about Cannonball is it has the excellence without the snobbery. It's clear everyone here's an industry veteran and is the best at what they do. This was easily some of the best service we've ever had in the LA area, and Cameron, even though he had probably 10 (!) tables, was kind, thoughtful, and always around even though he was probably doing a million things at once. I never once had less than half my water glass empty (as a big water drinker too, oops). The wine + spirits list is impressive along with the perfectly paired cocktails. As a snobbish southerner, these may be the best biscuits I've EVER had. It's more like filo dough! Despite ordering multiple dishes, they all came out freshly cooked at perfect times - it's obvious they have this down to a science, and the burger + fries are even worth a try. The steak was my favorite, though! Also, the playlist was GOOD too. We heard some Oasis deep cuts, Cold War Kids, Jungle, and a few others. Host told us the playlist was compliments of the chef, which makes perfect sense in the best way. Taste begets taste. This may have been one of my favorite meals in LA, ever. Run, don't walk, friends. Cannonball team, please give yourselves a pat on the back, because all of your hard work hasn't gone unnoticed. THANK YOU for bringing such a great restaurant to south pas!

Cannonball is a chic, two-story restaurant in South Pasadena. We tried to make a same day reservation but there were no openings until 8:30pm so we took a chance as a walk-in at 6:30 and were seated at the upstairs bar. Of course we had to partake and the cocktails were lovely. The buttermilk biscuits with honey butter were immaculate. No notes and these need to be part of your order. The yellowfin tuna crudo was light and refreshing and the vinaigrette added a pop of brightness. We finished it out with the bbq 8oz prime NY steak which was tasty but nothing to write home about. Keep in mind that because it's bbq'd, it's very charred on the outside but still perfectly tender inside.

The food here was outstanding, and I'm surprised it isn't rated higher! We came on a whim, 10 min before the kitchen closed, and were still treated so wonderfully by all of the staff here. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing! The trout was a huge hit for me! The purple potatoes and greens cooked in the most perfect savory sauce was the perfect complement to the perfectly made fish. I'd order this dish every time I come!! Also extremely delicious were their biscuits. Hot, flaky, and buttery, if I could have these daily, I'd be so happy! Especially after slathering on the special butter, this is like the perfect pastry for me! Another really yummy item was their fries! Perfectly fried and crispy, this place has some of the best fries I've had in a while! This is a great restaurant for a date night, hanging out with a group of friends, or just hanging out solo at the bar! I recommend checking this place out when you're in the area!

Came to meet a friend for dinner - she drove all the way over to Pasadena from the west side after seeing this place online. The place is cozy minimalistic vibes - neighborhoody and unpretentious. We received spectacular service and I wish I caught our waiter's name because he was lovely. We each got a glass of wine, and ordered the biscuits, the celery salad, shrimp, calamari, and tartare - all the small plate stuff since I read there weren't too many main dish standouts and we weren't starving. I don't like celery but I read glowing reviews about the celery salad - for someone who despises celery it was alright. I love the nuts and dates but I can't get past the celery. Wish it was another vegetable. The shrimp was superb and you must order!!! Fantastic seasoning and the aioli is great. Biscuits are good - a tad on salty side and overhyped I'd say. Tuna tartare is fine but no crunchy crispy element at all to pair with? If it came with something this dish would be so much better. Without it, it felt lazy. I was doing everything to pair it with something - it was weird with the bread and calamari and shrimp. Just needed its own cracker or something. The calamari was good but not the best I've had. Overall, good not great experience but really glad I came to visit and glad south Pasadena has this cute date night option

We got last minute reservations for Friday evening for 6.15. It got very busy later. We sat upstairs. The space is lovely. It is a tad bit loud. We started off with cocktails. All were good. I got the love walked in. Fabulous cocktail with ginger syrup. The rest of my party got the gg. That was good. Strong. The gg and gg was also good. For food we got the 18 min biscuits. Lovely layers on the biscuits. The shrimp was simple but very tasty. The calamari was good but just okay. The tuna tartare was fresh and lemony. The Fideo was different. I really liked it. The standout to me was the celery salad. Loved the dates. There's only one dessert - The olive oil cake. The server did tell us there was a little cornbread. But I think it was a little too cornbready for me. Definitely not your classic olive oil cake.

Newly opened and just had to try. Space separated across two floors with a bar on both. Reservations recommended but also has bar seating first come first serve. Got the roasted carrots and biscuits as starters. Both delish. Carrots had burrata and a light salad atop. Citrus dressing rounded it all together. The biscuits were super flakey, tons of layers. Didn't need extra butter but why not indulge. The burger and the trout were a bit disappointing. The burger was decent but kind of overcooked and felt pricey for what you got. The trout and lentils were way oversalted and although trout was cooked well, the salt bomb kind of ruined it. Service was solid so while there were hits and misses, still a pretty decent showing.

Definitely a hidden gem. First of all, service was top notch. Cameron was the best, very attentive, friendly & knowledgeable. The rest of the staff also made the experience enjoyable. Our water was constantly refilled. With 4 small plates & a main, the two of us over-ordered, but there wasn't a plate that we did not like. Our favorites were the Buttermilk Biscuits, Fries and Trout. The biscuits were super fluffy while the fries were super crispy. The trout was generously portioned & well cooked. The Celery Salad and Prawns were tasty too. As dessert, we had the Olive Oil Cake which tasted a lot like cornbread. We definitely look forward to returning.

We came to celebrate a birthday and they made us feel so special. From taking our last minute reservation and greeting us in person to bringing our girl a birthday dessert, they really took care of us. Food was a hit or miss, but everything that hit was worth coming back for. The buttermilk biscuits and honey butter are absolutely incredible. Order this the second you arrive because it does take 18 minutes to make, but comes fresh out of the oven for you. It's super soft and flaky, and the best biscuits I've ever had. Roasted carrots were great as well. So flavorful and we kept wanting more. Dessert was insane as well, we got some chocolate crème. Fideo and calamari were a miss, but they weren't bad. We will be skipping these when we come back to try the rest of the menu. It's a great time of the year to visit too because of the holiday decor. This place was so warm and welcoming. We cannot wait to come back.

Our first time here and thankfully had reservations. We were seated after waiting for 10 minutes. This place is small and quaint with a charming atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Our food was presented nicely. All the dishes are "small plates", meant to be shared. We enjoyed the Tuna Tartare and the 8oz NY Prime. They were flavorful and enough for the two of us. The fried calamari, however, was too crispy and kind of dried. We have had better. Overall, we had a pleasant experience, but we do feel it's a bit overhyped.

Fun vibes, fun foods, great service :) Biscuits? Overly unhealthy but I could inhale this all night long! Roasted carrots - would eat this everyday Fideos - such a unique take to go with clams. One of the highlights of this menu! Steak - that whipped mashed...mhmmm Olive oil cake - not sure how I feel about a corn-based cake, but it's not terrible! I'll def come back for the food and vibes :D so happy that South Pasadena is opening up great restaurants like Cannonball!

Went here the other night. Had it on my list of places to try. There weren't any reservations available, so we decided to show up when it opened in hopes of getting a table. Thankfully we were able to get seated right away. Started with cocktails, which didn't really stand out. Maybe the wine would have been a better choice. For starters, we had to try the biscuits which were highly recommended, along with the tuna crudo and fideos. The biscuits were very good with the honey butter, thick and flaky. Just really good. The tuna crudo was also really good, a little heavy on the citrus but still good. The fideos with clams was heavy, but the chorizo added some needed pop of flavor to the dish. It was heavy though. After eating some of this, along with the biscuits, we weren't necessarily looking forward to the entree due to being full, but we rallied. The entree was the burger which, based on appearance, was not overly appealing. Looked very basic. But biting into it, the egg brioche bun was very good. Thr prime chuck meat and Tillamook cheese also worked well. So, though it does not look amazing, it was a decent burger with good flavor. The prawns were also a good size, seasoned with an aioli. Overall, those biscuits were delicious, without definitely recommend, and the crudo was also tasty. The burger was good while the fideos left sometging to be desired. The prawns and crudo can go either way, if you're feeling like it, get it, if not, you won't miss anything life changing.

Delicious dinner we sat under heat lamps in backyard. Service was attentive and food was delicious. Will definitely make reservations for another visit to try more menu items!

This place is an elevated dining spot tucked right in the SGV. It's a small restaurant in South Pas with limited seating so we made reservations in advance to celebrate a friend's birthday. We ordered several dishes to share: Calamari - classic but well-executed, fried perfectly. Celery Salad - light, refreshing, and a nice palate cleanser. White Shrimp - the star of the night! The aioli on the side was so good we ended up dipping other food into it too. Buttermilk Biscuit - an absolute must-order, warm and literally melts in your mouth. Burrata - simple but tasty, served with two pieces of toast. Grilled Chicken - very tender and flavorful. Ocean Trout - tasted more like grilled salmon, but the creamy corn it came with very good. Our server was super friendly and attentive. He even surprised us with a slice of olive oil cake when he noticed my friend opening her birthday gif. Overall, the food was delicious, and I'd recommend ordering multiple plates to share. It's a great spot for date nights or to celebrate a special occasion.

came to cannonball for my birthday with some friends and we all loved it! the restaurant is so cute and gives off a small town vibe with a trendy yet cozy menu! they have the most amazing biscuits and honestly could eat an entire plate of them. another honorable mention is the celery salad with dates! soooo yum and doesn't have the overpowering taste of celery. we all preferred the small dishes over their main dishes: would pass on the chicken. our server was fine, but nothing to write home about. she came around once, but we had to ask to order more drinks and for refills of water.

Wow...what a gem in the small city of South Pas. Came here without reservations one night and we waited 30-45 mins in the upstairs lounge area before being taken to our seats at the bar. The place is located on Mission before or after the train tracks depending on which direction you're traveling. Close by is the Michael Myers house so if you wanna stop by, this is your time. Cannonball is easy to miss as you walk by as there's no huge sign, but upon coming into the space, it feels intimate and cozy, and the ambiance is both friendly for a date night or for a family dinner (saw multiple families dining with their kids, not surprised in the city of South Pasadena). Having read up a little about this place and it being part of the Everson Royce Bar family, the biscuits were a must. Heard Greta things about the burger too but we often for something else so here's the line up for our dinner: -celery salad (bartender recommended it and even he said, "yeah, I know what you're thinking but it works." And you know what, he was right. It not only works but I thought it was incredible - so much so that I started looking for recipes online for something similar and recreated this salad at home.) -biscuits (small but boy are these mighty towers of flaky, buttery goodness...biscuits of all biscuits) -prawns (read mixed reviews about this but I actually really liked them) -steak (forgot the specific name of the dish but the steak was cooked perfectly. Tender and flavorful...delish! And served on top of creamy mashed potatoes. Yum!) Drinks were delicious also and reasonably priced. Overall, solid 5 stars and I would definitely come back Again. Service is also very attentive. Truly have nothing but to rave about this place. However, make sure to plan ahead and get reservations to minimize the wait time.

This place is so amazing. The restaurant itself is cozy and beautiful. Our waiter was attentive and sincerely nice. The food was phenomenal. Must get the biscuits, my little toddler ate 2 by himself. My fav was the grilled shrimp, so much flavor in one bite. Everything was cooked to perfection. Small menu but they do everything great. We had a wonderful time, thank you, will be visiting again!

Walking around and kind of just looking for a good place to I found this jewel that has great food and great drinks, service it's top notch I'm talking about my server, hostess was a bit rude but the server made up. Food is just delicious and unique with a great American and continental flair The atmosphere is just beautiful Definitely recommending this great restaurant

There is inside upstairs, inside main, inside stools by the chefs, and outside Staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a somm on staff but it may be a wait with one person Food: the stand out was the biscuits- we loved them. We ordered the burger and it was alright! Apparently it was raved about. 4.5 Stars I was bummed when HIPPO stopped serving brunch and I could no longer get Chef Mat Molina's signature Buttermilk Biscuits. When I heard that newly opened Cannonball had them on the menu, I was ecstatic! And, if you're a fan of Everson Royce Bar's infamous burger you can get it here too. Cannonball took over the former Piccolo location. I was happy to see that the original brick walls are still there. I arrived when they opened and asked if I could sit at the bar. Joe kindly escorted me upstairs where I was greeted by the darling Jessica (bartender). The wine list is extensive and includes a variety of vintage selections. The cocktail program is also top-notch, offering a selection of refined creations that pay homage to the local area in addition to a few classics. The food menu is limited, placing an emphasis on quality and the incorporation of seasonal ingredients. The biscuits are made fresh to order and take about 18 minutes. I requested them along with a cocktail - Take the "A" Train because it sounded intriguing. My drink was a delightful surprise - a nice blend of Cognac, Cynar, house made orgeat, lemon, & nutmeg. It was lovely and reminded me of fall. I savored it while enjoying the background music that had me grooving in my seat. My eyes lit up with excitement when the coveted biscuits were placed in front of me. They were as majestic as I remembered. Three flaky, mile-high biscuits stacked on a plate with a generous amount of honey butter on the side. I took my first bite, and I was in heaven! The biscuit was warm with multiple flaky layers that melted in my mouth. The honey butter was the icing on the cake! I wasn't the only one enjoying these delicious morsels. The ladies sitting next to me ordered them too. I'm so happy I can get my biscuit fix again along with a great cocktail too. *Walking distance from the Metro Mission Station *Street Parking or nearby parking structure. *Reservations suggested.

If you haven't been, go. Now. I've been here several times and have had everything in the [food] menu at least once. The celery salad is one of the best things in the building. The service is attentive but not overbearing. The food comes out fast, except the biscuits as they take time (it's noted on the menu), so I suggest ordering them as you are ordering your drinks. Sexy ambiance, don't sleep on being outside on the patio. Also: Best whiskey list in the city, hands down. Best biscuits. Best prawns. Everything is A1 all the way around. Limited hours, dinner service only, so make sure you use resy and get on that list.

What a great place! Extraordinarily friendly staff from check-in through seating and service. Lovely back patio with lights in the trees and a mural that slyly nods to the Metro trains rumbling by. Very interesting cocktails - I tried the mescal Negroni - and delicious food - we tried the burger, the tuna crudo, and the very impressive spring lettuces salad. The indoor space is just as inviting. So happy to have this little gem in the neighborhood.

Ambiance 9/10 Food 7/10 Service 10/10 I'm not really sure what to say but the restaurant was very mediocre. The food is good but not for the price point. We also got the celery salad definitely pass on that! The lemon drop i had was amazing. The trout was tender and soft. The steak was good but not anything that stands out. Lovely new restaurant in South Pas. Same people who own Hippo but dare I say this place is better... Top dishes were the shrimp, carrots & biscuits. Can pass on the clam fideo. Drinks were pretty good too!

Cute spot in south pasadena, the ambiance was great and the food was amazing. We really loved every item we ordered. The service is great and the servers are attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our favorites were the Buttermilk Biscuits and Clams Chorizo. I think the burger is pretty average compared to everything else on the menu.

5 star all the way. Walk don't run. Friday at 545pm already packed so get a rez. Spectacular food, don't miss the shaved celery salad. Hanger steak was cooked perfectly. Impeccable professional service from the greet to the goodbye. Pro tip: sit at the bar and watch a highly polished team make your dinner in the open kitchen. Simply outstanding experience thank you. Wait time: was seated right away with no reservation but the place is small and quaint so reservation is recommended. Atmosphere: very charming Food: from starters to meals, they came out in perfect timing. Great presentation and great flavors. Overall: staff were all attentive and provide great service. Will definitely come back with friends and family.

This place is perfect for date night. The buttermilk biscuits is a must to order. Our waiter, Alejandro is amazing and very nice to talk to. We'll definitely be back for the buttermilk biscuits again forsure. This place just gained another regular customer.

First time here and overall a really solid experience, but I'd definitely recommend making a reservation if you can. We showed up without one and were told the wait would be about an hour. After giving my info, the text said an hour and 15 minutes, and we ended up waiting closer to an hour and a half before being seated. They placed us at the bar in front of the kitchen, which wasn't what my companion hoped for at first, but it turned out to be pretty fun--especially for me as a foodie, since I got to watch the chefs work their magic up close. The bartender was wonderful and made us a custom tequila-based espresso martini for a birthday celebration that was delicious. For appetizers, we had the celery salad and the biscuits--the biscuits are a must-order, they just melt in your mouth. For mains, I had the chicken (great flavor with a nice kick of spice and perfectly cooked veggies), while my companion had the burger and loved it--especially the generous portion of fries. Food, drinks, and service were all excellent, and the kitchen view made the experience extra entertaining. The only downside was the long wait without a reservation. If not for that, this would be an easy five stars. Still, I'd recommend trying Cannonball out--and I'm excited to check out their sister restaurant in the future!

Recently dined at Cannonball with my hubby to see what the social media hype was all about and based on the dishes we tried, I'd say that the overall dining experience was good but we felt it to be a bit overhyped. But since it just opened, we understand if a few kinks still need to be ironed out so we can see their full potential. Pros: - Service was relatively attentive - We really liked the tuna tartare with the ponzu sauce. It was my favorite dish of the night - The roasted carrots with cumin vinaigrette dish was also quite flavorful - Nice ambience with dim lighting - Very buzzin'. Noise level was high Cons: - We were not in love with the trout dish. - We found the biscuits to be too salty and a bit too dry - The plating for the majority of the dishes were too small for the food served. Felt like it was difficult to grab items off the plate without them falling off the plate. Also, the presentation with a few items could have been improved - Small menu Will likely return in a few months to try other items and see how we like them.

Beautiful new spot in south Pasadena! The restaurant is cozy with several tables and second floor with a few more seatings. We ordered several items, they were all beautiful, but a tad on the salty side. -tuna tartare: light and refreshing! -biscuits: super buttery and flakey, a little too heavy on the salt -clams& fideos: first time having it, super unique and flavorful! -hanger steak: the best bites! Tender and perfectly prepared The staff is super attentive, sometimes overly, like other reviews, they do check in quite a bit, but they were all friendly.

From the food to the atmosphere to the service, everything was absolutely perfect. Truly an unforgettable evening! The biscuits and celery salad are must-orders! The biscuits take around 20 minutes, so I recommend putting that order in first.

Went to Cannonball for our 10 year anniversary and it was perfect! The food was exquisite, the wines perfect. The service and ambiance matched. Our experience was so good we made a reservation on the spot for the following week and returned with a friend. We have been telling everyone about it and will definitely be returning to this lovely place.

I was very happy to see something come in and revive the space that Piccolo once occupied, it's such a cool building with such character. We started with cocktails and the famous buttery biscuits, of course. The drinks were a little slow to come out and I think that's about the only slightly negative thing I can say about this establishment. We ordered multiple share plates and left feeling very full! We didn't even leave room to try the olive oil cake at the end. Next time! The stand out for me was the Fideos which had a lot of interesting flavors and the acidity from the tomato paired with the sweetness of the clams really brightens the dish. My husband's favorite was the white prawn which was packed with flavor and had a hint of spice smoke and sweet . All of the dishes that we had were incredibly well balanced, and a lot of care was taken preparing them. If you're ordering more than 3 small plates, you might want to stagger your ordering because they do start to come out quickly and the table. Space is rather limited.

After reading reviews from other Yelpers, my wife and I decided to try Cannonball for dinner. The ambiance is hip Pasadena (brick walls, steel beams, unfinished ceiling) and comfortable. We ordered several dishes, which are all small. --Roasted carrots--good flavor, but too much vinaigrette dominated the dish --Fried calamari--disappointing, no flavor other than the dipping sauce --Spring lettuce salad--good flavor, but too much vinaigrette overpowered the dish --Buttermilk biscuits--delicious Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Street parking is easy.

The biscuits alone deserve five stars and will be the reason I come back. The vibes: immaculate The tunes: nothing but bangers The food: scrumdiddily We didn't have a reservation and asked to do a walk-in around 5:40. We were told it would be a 45 min wait but weren't in a rush so put our name in and went for a walk. Ten minutes later, to our surprise and delight, we were seated and our biscuit order had been placed (do it as soon as you sit, they require 20 minutes in heaven before they reach your table). A lovely place, a great night, my husband was a little surprised the burger was medium and he wasn't asked for a temp when he ordered it... but he also scarfed the whole thing and said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had.

Came in early on a Saturday and from the moment we walked in we got the most wonderful service at possible touch point. Joe, Cameron, the bar, the host station AND the lounge and bar upstairs could not have been warmer or more welcoming. The food and drinks were all fabulous and we were blown away be the reasonably priced extensive whiskey/scotch/bourbon selection. All our food dishes were excellent. Great cocktails. But the people who work there were the ones who made it truly memorable. Can't wait to get back.

So good! Came here for dinner on a rainy Monday evening. I ordered the skirt steak. It was perfectly cooked, the mash potatoes were soft and creamy. The bread and butter are a must! Really enjoyed my dinner, ambiance and great staff. I'll be back soon!

The service was excellent. The food was mixed. We had the biscuits, which deserve the excellent reputation they have. The burger however, was served on a tiny plate and was nothing special at all. The celery salad was great, as was the trout. They need a more varied menu.

SOLID 4 star restaurant. Have been here 4 times now. Would like them to offer a few specials since the menu is very small. ONLY COMPLAINT..very noisy up stairs. If you do not like noise, bring earplugs. It's that loud up stairs. Food great. Service good and the biscuits are one of the better bites in S Calif, that good.

The menu is limited but everything we had was great. We started with the biscuits and shaved celery salad. The biscuits were divine and almost felt like a desert instead of an appetizer. Very flaky and the honey butter is delicious. The shaved celery with dates was fantastic as well. For our entrees we got the trout and the steak. The portions are on the smaller side but it's not lacking in flavor at all. I enjoyed the steak more than the trout just because it was heartier. The trout was cooked exceptionally well with the skin perfectly crisp. I would love to try more of the smaller plates so next time I'll go with more people. We didn't have a reservation but showed up right when they opened and asked to sit at the bar. This worked out perfectly, even on a Friday night!

Such a cute and cozy restaurant, the food was delicious and service was nice. We loved their biscuits one of the best we've had, but keep in mind it's not a traditional one.

The vibe is warm, welcoming, New York bistro, with an additional festive air during the holidays. The food was incredible and the service kind and attentive. I fell in love with this spot and will be going back with friends!

Get. The. Biscuits. They are absolutely worth the wait. We also tried the prawns and fideo, both were delicious. The restaurant itself is two levels, dimly lit and fully packed on a weekday evening we went. Service was a bit slow, and we did feel a lull between the biscuits and the rest of the food coming out. Parking was plentiful on the street.

Great food and great vibes! Get the biscuits! Service is always great. And the upstairs area is great for a private event

Very happy with everything we ordered, biscuits, lettuces, shrimp, trout and chicken. Also the chocolate dessert. I personally felt the chicken was a bit dry, but others loved it. Drinks were spot on, so was the wine list. Our server Alejandro was delightful! My only comment would be that the tables and plates are small so a crowded table. Make sure you pace your food so there is room. Our server did a perfect job of this. So nice to have this option in the SGV Pasadena area.

They are closed Tuesdays/Wed. Reservations are best because it is packed there nightly. Patio is open now too. Street parking or 1 min walking from metro train.
