The Surprising, Shrimp-less History of Aguachile | Eater

"A high-end cantina that serves a distinctive “black” aguachile stained with soy, reflecting Sinaloa’s historical culinary intersections (including Chinese influence) and a more experimental, upscale take on the classic preparation." - Michael Snyder

Staff is extremely attentive and helpful, even if your Spanish is poor. We had light dinner and drinks, but the tuna was fantastic- on par with what you would see in Hawaii. We had a lemon custard with meringue, which was also fantastic.

We stopped by for a drink and a quick bite to eat, we ordered two tostadas to share not realizing they were actually huge! We loved them both, we got a shrimp tostada and a tuna tostada. The restaurant is located so close to the Sr. Regis, where we were staying, well, we ended up going the following day for lunch as we really enjoyed the drinks, the tostadas and the services. For lunch the second day we ordered a tortilla soup, a couple of tacos and a pirata, everything was very tasty, the barbacoa tacos was so good. If you are in the area, definitely stop by and try them out, the restaurant is very spacious, though the restaurant was very busy other days we walked by, the two times we came was quiet but we came at some odd times during the day.

Beautiful cantina, warm service, and absolutely fantastic food. And just when you think the night couldn’t get any better, you discover there’s a salon upstairs where you can dance the calories away to a live salsa band! Perfect spot for anyone who loves to eat well and end the night on the dance floor!

Great restaurant serving high quality food with good ingredients. All of the walls slide open to give the restaurant an open air feel. Servers were helpful and attentive. We had the guacamole with fried pork, lechon chalupa, birria ravioli, and the tortitas each dish wash flavorful and cooked perfectly. Even the complementary trio of salsas were delicious as were the home made tortillas. Highly recommend for a more casual evening, while not sacrificing the culinary experience.

Extraordinary fish in CDMX. The aguachile and the tostadas were out of mind. Service was outstanding too.

I have to say I have had a hefty number of tacos on this trip but these were UNREAL. The Pork Shank just fell off the bone and melted in the mouth. The short rib was beautiful. Ice cold beer, located in the heart of such a brilliant city, what an experience 🔥🔥🔥

Great food and ambience. Our waiter Diego is awesome. Very tentative and made great food recommendation. Great service. Diego made our evening even more special. My favorite was the tuna tostada. Tuna tastes fresh and melted in the mouth. But all the other food were amazing as well

Fantastic restaurant. Great food and excellent service. If you're in this neighborhood it's worth stopping by. The appetizer fries are deliciously seasoned and the fillet is awesome. The service is far better than almost anywhere else I've been in CDMX.
