"Chatsworth may just be home to one of LA’s best wine bars right now. Canto VI, a cozy wine and cocktail bar, comes from Brian Kalliel, the former wine director at Michelin-starred Mélisse. Drawing on his own experience, he hoped to bring the neighborhood a bar that would feel at home in a fine dining restaurant with a curated wine list and bites to pair. Kalliel sources all the wine himself, offering a weekly list of about 10 bottles by the glass, plus six more on a constantly changing chalk menu. Chester Hastings, previously of Joan’s on Third, leads the kitchen, serving dishes like duck confit, salumi skewers, and a Roman chicory salad with endives. Alongside the wine, Canto VI offers a select menu of classic cocktails and spirits. This place is absolutely incredible! The whipped feta was the perfect start—creamy, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating. The lamb was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor—hands down one of the best dishes I’ve had. Their wine selection is impressive, with something for every palate, and the staff is super knowledgeable about pairing recommendations. I also heard they’ve just introduced a new menu, and I can’t wait to come back and try it. This spot truly delivers an unforgettable dining experience!

Wow! Such an amazing evening. Brian, Lance, and the staff were amazing. The food was so delicious and unique. Their knowledge of wines and taking away the pretentiousness of ordering and tasting imported wines was so refreshing. I can’t recommend this place enough. We can’t wait to go back.

DONT WEAR SHORTS! You can't get in if you are wearing shorts. Great little wine bar. It's exactly what the area needs. The owner, Ryan, is a master somm. He was the somm for the famous Melisse restaurant in Santa Monica for over 15 yrs. I actually remember him from the last time I ate there. I loved the wine selection. Mainly old world wines. Very interesting menu and well put together. I highly recommend coming here. They also have a full bar. Not just wine. Good food options as well

This is easily one of the greatest restaurants/wine bars I have ever been to. From the easily parkable/accessible location, to the fantastic service to the extraordinary wine, drink, and food, this place is a must! The staff greeting was warm and welcoming, the ambience and overall vibe was exquisite. The food was divine, the chef is an inspiration. This place is very high end, but doesn’t break the bank! It is most definitely worth the experience! Very cool and unique atmosphere. Canto VI serves as a versatile venue. Absolutely perfect for a romantic date night, or a fun night out with friends. Dress up for the occasion and enjoy your night here. I wish I could give them more stars!

This new wine bar restaurant offers a truly exceptional dining experience. My recent visit with a date was a culinary adventure from start to finish. We began by selecting a wine from their unique and impressive collection. For starters we tried the Garlic & Herb Roman flatbread with whipped feta was a standout that set the stage for the flavors to come. The Blistered Cherry Tomatoes Inferno followed, a vibrant dish bursting with oregano, chili, olive oil, and sesame seed—a true delight for the senses. For our main course, we shared the Grilled New Zealand Lamb Chops with mint pesto were nothing short of exquisite. Paired with hot, crispy rosemary fries, it was a combination that left a lasting impression. The ambiance was inviting, the wine selection, and each dish showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality and creativity. This establishment is undeniably a one of a kind gem in Chatsworth. I will certainly be returning again soon.

I recently visited Canto Vi, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The ambiance is charming, creating a perfect setting for a relaxing evening. Brian, the sommelier, truly elevated our experience with his extensive knowledge and recommendations. He helped us choose some incredible wines that paired perfectly with our meal. The staff was exceptionally friendly, making us feel right at home, and the service was top-notch throughout the evening. I was particularly impressed with how well the wine complemented the delicious food we ordered. You can tell the chef is passionate about what he’s doing and cares about every plate he sends out. Overall, Canto Vi is a gem, and I can’t wait to return with my wife for date night!
