"If you want all the good parts about Dimes Square (the high-quality food and a reason to dress like you’re an extra in The Matrix), but none of the crowds, then Carlota should be high on your list. It’s a tapas spot that often gets overlooked because it’s right next to the vibrant Bar Belly, and we prefer it that way, because we can always get a table. Go with a few friends for some olives, croquetas, and a glass of Spanish red, and make conversation over the built-to-share chorizo katsu sandwich." - Carina Finn Koeppicus, Bryan Kim, Hannah Albertine, Will Hartman

"With Parisian vibes at Le Dive, Iberian Peninsula seafood at Cervo’s, and now tapas spot Carlota, it feels like Dimes Square is basically just fake Europe. We’re not mad at it though. Especially since Carlota has such a great Happy Hour, with tasty small plates that you should snack on while you sit outside on Orchard Street or in their long, narrow dining room with a small bar in the back. Get some $16 sangria, $14 patatas bravas, and a sizable chorizo katsu sandwich that’s perfect for sharing with a date, or while you’re catching up with a friend." - Carlo Mantuano

Came for a quick dinner with a friend and we were impressed. Their tapas were great — highly recommend the razor clams on toast. Also loved their cheesecake for dessert.

Went there tonight with former co-workers and a co-worker's boyfriend. Wonderful ,cozy place. Good menu. Excellent service. Food was delicious! I recommend it. Unfortunately we couldn't wait to dig in so plates are incomplete. We also shared dessert. The San Sebastián Cheesecake. Creamy center, burnt exterior, wild Amerena cherries. 5 of us shared it. Next visit I get my own piece! Awesome dessert!

Sat at bar and enjoyed red wine and vermouth paired with falda a la pancha and cheesecake. Izzy the bartender was so kind and very knowledgeable. I had a wonderfully pleasant time solo dining. Thank you so much!

My new fav tapas bar! Their vermouth selection is great; the dishes are excellent and combines the right flavors and textures. The cheesecake is also mindblowing - no pictures because I was long done with it by the time I remembered to take a photo.

This was a great brunch. Love the coziness and the little bar in the back This cozy spot is dishing out really great food. Everything we had was fantastic! Especially the Huevos horneados and pulpo! Definitely go here if you like Tapas HUEVOS HORNEADOS organic eggs simmered in tomato sauce, piquillos peppers with jamon serrano and basil MEJILLONES steamed mussles with chistorra sausage in a saffron broth PULPO galician style octopus, salsa gallega & potatoes. Wow! So tender amd just full of flavor. I think one of the best in the City! CROQUETAS DE JAMON SERRANO serrano ham, bechamel & manchego cheese. Perfect croquettes. The sangria is outstanding and the clarified appletini was great Definitely heading back here soon.
