We had a delicious meal at Mr. Porky! We have been watching the development of this place for a while and we’re excited to see when the big sign changed and the exterior was renovated. Inside, the dining room is spacious and clean. The food is on display for guests to be able to see what is available and while they currently don’t have printed menus, they can tell you what is available and help you put together the perfect dinner. I highly recommend the Carnitas tacos as the delicious and pillow soft corn tortillas are handmade. The Carnitas are tender and the salsa bar is full of delicious sauces that will add to the great flavor. We also had the rice and beans and the sticky sweet, sweet potatoes. They also have fresh beverages like Horchata and Jamaica. The parking was very easy here and we look forward to coming back to try the breakfasts that they are known for. Welcome to Burien!

Ignore the parking lot. Get into the front door. Cause this place ain't messing around. They do pork. Legit portion sizes. (For real, when is 4 tacos every too many? Torta was actually a TORTA.) The servers are still finding their feet, but that's the case for any new restaurant. They give a tour of the kitchen when you enter, and the love for what they are serving leaves this infectious feeling that you are definitely going enjoy the food. And you will enjoy the food. Put this one on a list of places that we need more of...

I’ve visited this place many times and have consistently spent around $100 per visit. Unfortunately, the customer service has been disappointing. The staff often come across as unwelcoming and disrespectful, especially at the front counter. I believe the cashier’s name is Isabella, she was particularly rude during my most recent visit. After I paid for my order, they got it wrong, and when I asked for it to be corrected, I was told they couldn’t fix or refund it. That’s unacceptable if a mistake is made, it should be corrected. When I raised my concern, Isabella, who claimed to be the manager, responded with inappropriate language and ended up asking me to leave, despite the fact that I had just spent over $100. As a business owner myself, I was shocked by how poorly customers can be treated here. Sadly, it seems some people still run their businesses this way. I recommend being cautious with your money. There are plenty of amazing food trucks out there where the staff treat you with kindness and respect and they truly care about their customers Overall their costumer service deserves zero star.

Very clean establishment. One of the best carnitas tacos I've had! Torta was also very good, well balanced bread to topping ratio. Side/garnish bar was clean and very fresh. Very nice cooks and waitress.

This place is awesome. Friendly staff greets you right when you walk in. Clean open kitchen. Fun pig themed (huge) dining room. Looks like they have table service and to go. Plenty of room for big groups. They offered carnitas everything and carnitas by the pound as well as juices and other items. I ordered a carnitas burrito and a veggie burrito, both were excellent. I ate before I took a pic. Fresh, authentic, best Mexican food in White Center/Burien. Can’t wait to try the breakfast.

First time here, the atmosphere is lively. Rancheros music playing, friendly service, Spanish speaking staff. Food is great. Happy to have another Mexican restaurant in Burien that I can recommend.

Best Birria I've had in the Seattle area so far and a great deal for the money, even if it's a bit further south compared to other stops in Seattle. We had a Birria Burrito, Consome, and Birra meal for 38$ and portions wise, it beat other places for that price. The Birra Meat and Consome were also flavored great, they had a bacon-ish flavor which was unique but quite good. All-in-all, the best of the 4 places I've tried birra at so far.

Came here to satisfy a birria craving and got the quesabirria plate and side of consome to go. I was pleased that the consome was not as fatty/oily as I've had at other places, yet still very flavorful and comforting. The meal came with rice, beans, grilled onion and jalapeño. I also received 1 green and 1 red salsa, and a bag of diced fresh onion, cilantro, and limes. The quesadilla was huge and truly stuffed with cheese and meat, and so delicious! The only downside was I found a small metal shard in my beans - like a shaving from a can. This tells me that the beans come from a can and are not freshly made, and they're not careful with food prep. I'm so thankful that I didn't get cut by it or swallow it. I would still come back for another meal, despite the slightly scary oversight I experienced. I need to try the mangoneada next time!

Top tier birria tacos! This place is pretty large with lots of porky decorations and fun party Mexican music. We ordered 2 soft tacos, 2 cheese tacos, and a side of consome. There's a little bar at the side of the restaurant where you can self serve all the dressings that you may want. The cheese tacos were amazing 10/10. Super stuffed with cheese and birria, then dipped in their super flavor consome is fireeee. I do wish their consome had a liiiiittle bit of spice but it was still so good. The consome is also pretty loaded with meat, so it's very worth it. Service was pretty standard, you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Overall, really good, would definitely come again to satisfy my never ending birria craving

Overall - I want to enjoy the food at this restaurant. However, they continue to fall short in many ways. Particular the quality of the food. The tortillas that are non-street style are dry and stiff. Making it challenging to enjoy when ordering a plate of food. The other issue is the portion sizes. I ordered a carnitas plate which included sub par rice and beans and dry carnitas. Their aguas frescas are probably the best option in the menu and overall priced around the same in the Seattle area. The street style tacos are unfortunately not great. Particularly their tripas tacos. It seemed like the meat was old since it was extremely dry and chewy. The restaurant also has a poor/lower food quality rating from King County which aligns with overall appearance of the kitchen and up keep of the condiment area. Recently - I ordered a queso birria de queso order. Only to find that the order was truly only a quesadilla, which is misleading. Especially since it's next to the order of the "actual" queso birria with rice and beans plate. The customer service recovery was unfortunately disappointing. I'm hoping to try this restaurant at some point in the future. But unfortunately will not be going anytime soon, and will enjoy other community Mexican restaurants in the Burien and white center area.

You want the best birria tacos in Seattle? Come to Birria Tijuana! I probably eat Mexican food 3x a week and this is by far my favorite tacos in the area. The birria is juicy and flavorful and the tacos with cheese are simply the best! If you get the birria tacos order the side of consome which is a delicious broth to dip your cheesy birria tacos in. The building has a lot of seating if you want to dine in and the salsa bar is on point. I usually order online and pickup to go it's quick and convenient. This place is a must check out! 5 stars!!!

Get the number 4 combo and you will not be disappointed! The flavor is delicious, the meat is cooked to perfection and the consome sauce is divine. The staff was so friendly and the chef was amazing!

Gonna be honest anybody who gives this place any less than 5 stars probably shouldn't be allowed to have a yelp account. This restaurant has been good as hell since they were in the grocery store across the street and I'm so glad they have their own space now. This spot is a gem. Food is incredible, service is always on point and comes out fast, the space is beautiful.

L-O-V-E the Birrieria Tijuana! A must do, from what I hear this is the go to place that everyone goes to and I am the last to know. But a colleague brought me here and I will do my best to be their biggest fan. We ordered the pizza along with a couple of "street tacos". The tacos are enormous and a stuffed to the gills with meet. So much that we could not touch the pizza. They have a great salsa bar with fresh cilantro and onions. Hot sauce and pickled veges . Great place to get your grub on, there are a lot of Pigs floating around the restaurant which is for their side business of carnitas. I became hooked on Quesabirria tacos and pizza. Come down for the fun!

Follow up review to the confusing and inconvenient service I received yesterday- Sour cream was thin and watery. It ruined my meal. So disappointing. I repeat- steer clear!

Enjoyed the birria. We ordered the Birria Res and used that to dip our birria quesadillas and cheese taco. So good! The serrano pepper was quite hot! Everything tasted great including the homemade corn tortilla.

Absolutely delicious birria !! I am so lucky I got to try this place. I got to seat myself and my food was out in no time. They have a cute little set up with cute decor. The consome was so flavorful and they have a self serve area with sauces, onions, limes, and jalepenos. I got lots of lime and seasoned onions to go with each bite! I got so much food I had leftovers for 2 days after eating at the restaurant!

Love this place! Great food and great prices, can't beat it. Their cheese taco is so stuffed it fills your tummy happily. Customer service has been awesome!

Good food great mulita and veggie tacos and sweet drinks. BUT THE BATHROOMS ARE TERRIBLE. No paper stained walls and same cleaning rag stuck to the light fixture for over a month. And that's the women's room!

You need to order the cheese tacos. They are delicious. The salsa is good and the tacos are fresh.

i really enjoyed my experience here. the restaurant has a ton of seating and i love how eclectic their decor is! we came at 5pm and there was no wait and plenty of seating. the food came pretty quickly too. i got 2 cheese tacos and i really enjoyed them. they came with no vegetables but they have a sauce/vegetable bar which was super nice because i love putting a lot of vegetables in my food. i also love that they had radishes too. the tacos had a ton of cheese and the meat was delicious. we added consume which was $4 extra dollars. the consume was not as flavorful as other ones i've had. it didn't come with as much meat as i wanted it to, and there was no onion or cilantro in it either which would be my biggest complaint.

The beef, cheese and quesadilla work so well with the consome, delivering a hearty punch full of flavor, packed with rice and beans that greatly compliment the quesadillas and consome. Super flavorful and tasty!

Food was good. We ordered 1 agua fresca of strawberry and it was TOO SWEET. I'm not sure if they're trying to make everyone who drinks it diabetic but maybe they should review the recipe for it again. Had to water down the drink by half of the portion.Gave me a migraine for the rest of the day

I remember seeing a Birrieria Tijuana van drive by on my way to Burien and knew that I had to go (plus Yelpers were raving about this place on social media). I was first introduced to birria by my coworkers who described it as the tasty, cheap meat that Latinos used to eat during recessions. Traditionally birria was made from goat or deer, but several American Birrierias also serve beef birria (like this place). I tried birria from the Mexican chain, El Riconsito, before, but it was extremely fatty and honestly a huge disappointment. I was hoping that by going to an actual birriera, the birria would be more authentic- and boy, was this place twenty times better than El Riconsito. My boyfriend and I came here on a weekend evening at around 8pm for a late dinner. Birrieria Tijuana is built into a neighborhood Mexican market, but the restaurant is accessible through a side door as well. The restaurant has a fair amount of seating with several booths and tables. It definitely has a fast food feel with the white tile floors and very casual atmosphere. This place serves birria in all forms including on top of fries, inside a quesadilla, in a burrito, in a torta, on its own, in consume (dipping soup) and even in an instant ramen cup. Instagram videos also show birria "pizza" for $22 which is HUGE and definitely an interesting fusion dish. After perusing the menu, my boyfriend and I both got Plato Birrias which came with meat, rice, taco shells, white retried beans, a jalapeño, sautéed onions, salsa verde, salsa rojo, red onions, cabbage, and lime (approx $16 per plate). The birria platos were gigantic and the portions were extremely generous- they gave us like a pound of meat which neither of us could finish in one sitting. The meat was tender and tasty- it reminded me of pot roast or beef brisket with a slightly tangy, savory, and spicy sauce. The frijoles (beans) were superior to your typical canned refried beans. I'be never had white refried beans before, but they were very good! The onions were sweet and perfectly complemented the meat. They also gave us at least four corn taco shells each which we topped with the meat, cabbage, onion, and salsa. Speaking of salsa, the verde was good, but the red salsa was the real winner- spicy, slightly smoky, and just a little tangy. I only wish that they gave us slightly more salsa, but we probably could've asked. Service was good and we got our food within 20 minutes. The floors and tables were super clean, but passable. Overall: 4.5/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

Happened upon this place on the way to the airport and will totally be back! Yum! They nailed the birria in the tacos and I saw a review that suggested dipping it in the consume and they were right! That was good! It was spacious inside with a lot of pig statues. They made the food quickly and the staff was helpful.

The portions are huge here! It's counter service so you order and they'll give you a number. There's a little veggie bar for your toppings. The food was really good and packed with flavor. Be prepared to get messy! The space is big so you can bring a large party if you'd like!

Food is consistently delicious! It's a fair price and generous servings - patrons and staff are friendly and seem happy to be there. It's become my go-to for birria cravings and the breakfast is also amazing

Wanna go to lunch? This is the place to go too it is absolutely wonderful. Their rice is delicious and their food is out of this world. I would recommend this place to anyone. Have you ever had cucumber lime drink ask I know what he wants them for that. You will not regret going there They have the best food I'm telling you their tacos are out of this world. They're a little bit pricey but it's worth it and their employees are super sweet and nice store is clean and you will not be dissatisfied because it's incredibly wonderful. I've been wanting to try this place because it's on the way home from multiple locations. We did takeout. For some reason, this place has two names and can be found under either. After ordering, we followed the prompts telling us the food was ready. The food was not ready until about 25 minutes after the app sent messages saying it was. Here comes my main criticism, because overall the food here was fine. I walked in to retrieve our food and the dining area smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in months. I had to leave and wait outside. No restaurant should smell like this and it's a big red flag for me, especially in the COVUD era. We had multiple dishes, they were all acceptable. However there was a mass of brown garbage that smelled like rotting lettuce on one of the dishes we ordered. It was apparently supposed to be guacamole. It was brown, slimy, had no indication of actual avocado and was overall completely disgusting. There are several solid components on the plates, but then bad or spoiled ingredients were used as a topping and it made the food smell....off, lesser, I want to be kind and honest. There are a lot of Mexican options in the area. This one is middle of the pack in terms of food quality. The environment was not one I would choose to eat inside of because of the overall smell of layered filth. It's going to take a combination of factors before we do this again. I really don't understand all of the 4 and 5 star reviews here. Either people have lost their sense of smell from COVID? Get real.

I went here for lunch with a dear friend. Once we walked in I could smell that the place wasn't very clean. The person who processed our order wasn't very friendly or have any customer service traits that were welcoming or helpful. We both ordered carne asada fries which were disappointing! Overall, it was a depressing little restaurant with unhappy people working and no cares if your food was good or not. I will never go there again.

OH MY GOD I COULD NOT STOP EATING and then when I could I looked forward to eating left overs. Everything was so flavorful and tender. We order a little of the bestsellers so see what the hype was all about Cheese tacos with Asada (did you know they also have pork, chicken and veggie options) it was so darn yum and the consume mmmmm my peeps dig into that consume it has tender bits of meat in there. And yes they are larger than typical tacos so 2 a person is good Vampiros with Asada, huge huge fan! So crispy and yummy and ugh could I just have some more please Asada fries ... yes Agua Fresca (cucumber) too sweet, add some lime and a lot of ice and it'll be awesome

I came here a year ago and recently visited again. I am happy to report that most menu items have NOT gone up in price (a miracle given inflation). The food was also as delicious as the first time I got it and the portions did not go down. They pack their food with a ton of meat and cheese. The first time I went I got a burrito and a cheese taco and more recently, my friend and I split the birria pizza. Out of those three items I've had, I would say they're basically the same thing in different forms, though that does not make it any less good. The birria pizza was $22 and could easily feed 3-4 people. Given the amount of meat and cheese, it was very filling and I found myself full after 1.5 slices. Also it had a great cheese pull! (See pic for evidence). I will say, it was quite greasy. As I was eating I thought to myself that if I was a big exercise/health person, I would definitely categorize this as a "cheat meal". It was quite a heavy meal, and made me feel like I was getting old because I definitely would've been able to eat more of this a few years back but now it will be more of a treat. Good news is leftovers reheat very well on the stove top. The horchata and cucumber agua Fresca were also delicious and helped wash the meal down. Highly recommend to order with your meal.

Sad! I'm having to downgrade my review. I just ordered 5 tacos from here today and there was barely any meat or cheese in there. They were skinny sadly and not filling anymore compared to when I first started coming here a year ago. I'll be looking for a new birria taco place.

I love the birria quesadillas. They are loaded with meat and cheese but most of all lots of meat! Just one is surprisingly very filling! Of course I get a cup of consume for $4 and dip my quesadilla with each bite. It's usually busy but people are in and out quickly. The birria is so good you find yourself eating it all very fast.

Worth the hype! My go to order is 2 cheese tacos and a side of consome. I usually get 3-4 street tacos at other restaurants but these are full sized and with the melted cheese... super filling. I've tried without the cheese but it's just not the same. Each order of tacos comes with onions and peppers. They also have a red and green salsa which are both tasty. The location is right next to a market so there's shared parking. They can get pretty busy but you can place an online order for pickup so you don't have to wait. Overall, a must if you're craving a hearty meal.

This is absolutely the best place to get tacos anywhere near Seattle. The line that you'll have to wait in will prove to be worth it. These puppies are stacked with so much meat and cheese that you will not want to put them down until you need to take a break due to a stomach ache. The creativity here is what I appreciate the most. They take birria and use it in any way possible. Tacos, quesadillas, ramen, anything you can imagine. Next thing you know they'll have a birria cake. Although why even dare to do such a thing when the churro sundae is a true delicacy? I don't recommend spending $50 here and eating it all before a 5 hour flight like I did, but I do think that you need to make the trip out there. It's a fantastic place to eat as much as possible and not feel an ounce of guilt, because everyone else is doing the same.

I always crave this, I would literally have this as my last meal if I could the cheese tacos and consome have me in a chokehold, the customer service is also spectacular!

Got two insanely meaty, cheesy mulitas for $5 each here! There was only one cook so there was a bit of a wait during lunch, maybe 10 minutes? My mulitas came with salsa, grilled onions and a jalapeno (very spicy)--everything is packed in to-go containers, even if you eat in. Anyway, two was overkill for me; I was already stuffed after eating one because they're truly packed with juicy birria and a ton of cheese. Delicious but super heavy! And their mulitas were larger than ones I've had in the past. All in all, a pretty great deal. This spot takes up one corner of Guadalupe Market but you can't access the market from the Birreria. There were about 7 or 8 tables and a decent amount of room to spread out.

Finally got to try this place and glad I did. The quesabirria was very flavorful and paired with the consomé, was amazing. I love how the cheese gets a little more melty when you dip it in the piping hot consomé, which was deliciously beefy and well seasoned. And honesty, I'd be happy with just a big bowl of that consomé (it has little bits of meat still in it), with some onions and cilantro. They have some fusion preparations of birria as well, such as the birria ramen and birria pizza. I didn't get to try them this time but some of the other customers ordered them and they looked good too. Staff was friendly, service was fairly quick and the food was great; will definitely have to come back (and try the pizza!)

Oh HELL yeah. I've been wanting to stop by Birrieria Tijuana for a long time but never found myself in the area. After dropping off a friend at the airport, I decided it was time! I'm from Southern California so I am always looking for legitimate and authentic Mexican food and this place is it. LOCATION & PARKING // This is in Burien and in a huge strip mall right next to a store. There is an abundance of parking here so that will never be an issue. The store itself is of a decent size and has multiple tables inside and outside as well. All the tables inside are spread apart. FOOD // Between two of us, we ordered 4 CHEESE TACOS (2 each), 1 CONSOME, 1 ASADA FRIES, 2 AGUA FRESCAS (horchata & melon/cantaloupe). I did my Yelp research beforehand and knew that this would be too much food but I did it anyway because I'm never in the area and happy to have leftovers. From what I've read, 1-2 cheese tacos with consome is plenty and that's true. I just couldn't say no to the asada fries - could you?! CHEESE TACOS: Filled with cheese and birria in a crispy double shell. They were hefty bites and tasted amazing with the consome! I was worried they wouldn't be flavorful on their own but I was wrong. CONSOME: I had never tried consome before and heard that it was similar to Vietnamese pho broth. I can definitely see why people think that but consome is a bit saltier. You really only need one between 2-3 people though. ASADA FRIES: Amazing! I'm used to asada fries like this where the asada is cut up into super small pieces. The container was filled to the top of these delicious fries and we had the leftovers for dinner the next day. Still perfect. If you like asada fries, these will not disappoint. AGUA FRESCA: I only had a sip of the horchata but it was creamy and flavorful. My standout was the melon/cantaloupe though. It was sweet, refreshing, and truly memorable. I'm so happy that I got that one instead of a flavor you see regularly. SERVICE // I read that this spot can get busy, which is understandable. I stopped by on a Friday around 4:30pm and there was no one in line. There was a few tables occupied but that was it. Ordering was no big deal and the food came out within 10-15 minutes. I ate at the restaurant itself and cleaned up afterwards. By 5:00pm, it was quite busy and the line was forming so I'm lucky to have missed the busy time. OVERALL // 5 stars Fantastic spot and definitely worth the hype. I highly recommend!

As someone who has had many opportunities to try Birria in the Bay Area and LA, I was very excited to see what Burien had to offer. However, once I walked in and realized that the restaurant was located inside/next to the Mexican grocery store, that's all I needed to see to know that this was about to be legit haha! My GF and I ordered 4X Birria Cheese Tacos, 2X Carne Asada Soft Tacos, 2X Al Pastor Soft Tacos, 1X Carnitas Mulitas, and consome. Fortunately we ordered in advance and it was ready upon pickup. Full of excitement, we went straight to the car and went to town! The Birria Cheese tacos were so gooood! They clearly loaded these to the top with plenty of meat! With every bite you can hear how crispy the shell is and see the cheese pull. And then once dunked into the consome, you can taste all of the delicious spices that leads to a flavor explosion! The soft tacos also had lots of flavorful meat, but the cheese and consome really puts it over the top! The only thing I was not a fan of was the carnitas. When I took a bite into my Mulita, I noticed that almost half of it was just pork fat. Maybe some people are into that, but it's just not for me. Other than that, all of the food was bomb! The consome is key! Make sure to use it on all of the other menu items to enhance the flavor! It's a bit far from Seattle, but if you're ever in the area or are ready for a quick adventure, this place has earned all of its stars! The price is fair and they have a huge menu with tons of variety. Once you take your first bite, you'll know that this is authentic.

I have been looking for some authentic Mexican food since I'm from SoCal and these are the best tacos I've had in Washington! This place had been on my list for awhile and so glad I tried it! I got a mulita and a vampiro. I was not expecting them to be so big! I only finished the vampiro and saved the mulita for later. So much flavor and so good! I also got an horchata which was as delicious! Would so come back!

This place is AMAZING. I saw some videos of the Birria Pizza on Reels and decided to drive down to Burien to try, and it was absolutely worth it. We got a Birria Pizza with Consomme, I got two tacos for myself, and we got some Churros for dessert. The Birria pizza is definitely the best thing, hands down. It's just a bunch of Birria Quesadillas in a circle, great for sharing. I definitely recommend getting the consomme - it makes for a great dip. The quesadilla was so cheesy and crunchy, and the tacos had great meat, and the churros were perfectly sweet with ice cream on time. My one gripe is that their Horchata was not strained properly so it was pretty grainy, but the rest of the food was so good that it didn't even matter. Watch out, because you'll definitely be in a food coma by the end of your meal here!

One of our favorite spots in the greater Seattle area - we used to go when it was a part of Guadalupe market and now are very happy they have their own spot across the street! The staff is so nice and the tacos are very reasonable and tasty! We like the birria cheese tacos and get the consomé to dip them in. The best part is the grilled onions that come on the side and their salsa bar is top notch. Whenever we are in the area we try to stop here. @main_guy_eats

Outstanding flavors! We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and the restaurant was very busy but we received quick and helpful service. Very fresh flavors and fantastic salsa/condiment bar. On our list of favorites!

You're going to want to order more than you can eat, you're going to regret it, but it'll be worth it. Don't even try to leave this place without a bowl of their consommé to dip your cheese taco in. Another surprise on their menu is the oh so humble and unsuspecting beans and rice. It almost tastes like the beans are cooked in lard. It's delicious! This place paved the road for my love for birria tacos!

Yelp review Number 100 for 2020! This was on my radar screen with posts from other Yelpers, but with Alex The Homie singing its praises after having tried it with his father, had to definitely give it a whirl. It also was a highlight after having just lost my job, it dazzled my palate and improved my pathetic situation. (10/27/20) Driving down from Shoreline, I combined it with another stop at a model shop in Skyway. However, there is no direct route from Skyway backtracking to Burien. Thank goodness for GPS and guidance from Alex The Homie. If not, being as directionally challenged as me, probably would have ended up in Maple Valley or Enumclaw, lol. Anyways, finally ended up in a fairly large strip mall with plentiful parking. Birrieria Tijuana is located in between a pizza shop and an indie grocery store. There was a line, but moved fairly fast. And yes, masked and social distancing enforced. We ordered four cheese tacos and two consume (not French like consomme). Orders come with onions, jalapenos, cilantro, lime wedges. Nice cold water dispenser onsite - nice to be well hydrated. *Holy lord almighty* bite into one of those meaty, cheesy tacos after being dunked in the consume - it was culinary heaven! The consume itself could be viewed as a meaty, flavorful stand alone soup. We were also being ambitious after that filling meal, because we ordered the made to order churros to share. This generous order also came with ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry on top. I think about the trolley ride in San Diego - could have tried this first hand in Tijuana proper. And since this visit, I've bookmarked similar birreria spots in Lynnwood. But Birreria Tijuana in Burien knocked it out of the park on my first visit. Highly recommended!
