The 17 Best Mallorca Restaurants - Eater

"Restaurants don’t get more scenic than Ca’s Patró March. Balanced perilously over the postcard-perfect rocky cove at Cala Deià, the restaurant looks as if it might tumble into the crystalline water at any moment. Fans are grateful it hasn’t so they can continue to gorge themselves on giant plates of freshly caught fish and other seafood, accompanied by crisp, local white wine. Tables are often fully booked weeks in advance; get in early and don’t forget to ask for a table en la primera linea (right next to the sea). [$$$]" - Isabelle Kliger

Fresh and simple fare. Delicious fish fillets, and you can watch the kitchen workers cut up the potatoes. Waiters were very nice, and exuberant - taking photos of the kittens frolicking on the adjacent hill. Spectacular coastal scenery, but a bit of an ordeal to drive there

I had heard wonderful things about this restaurant and knew I had to make a reservation as soon as they were available 15 days before. I unfortunately originally didn’t get a reservation but later I was able to find one for a later time (6:15p). My original reservation was for the 2nd row terrace as this was all that was available online at the time. When I arrived they were very nice and put us at a first line terrace seat. We had beautiful views of the water. Food and wine was excellent. Service was also excellent

RUN DONT WALK! Best sizzling prawns and fresh fish we have ever had! Just incredible, naturally the setting and location are exquisite and add to the overall experience!

Don’t be fooled by social media! The setting and view are undeniably stunning — but that’s where the appeal ends. This restaurant is a classic case of style over substance, and absolutely not worth the hunger-games battle for a reservation. After a week of trying, we finally secured a 3pm slot and arrived early to spend the day at the nearby beach (not recommended unless you bring a mattress!). We showed up at 2:50 only to queue for over 30 minutes, during which some diners gave up and left. Many were unhappy with their seating. We were lucky to get a front-row table, but if we hadn’t, there would’ve been nothing redeeming. Service was rushed, drinks had to be chased multiple times, and food was disappointing — chewy octopus, bland prawns, and oily chips. For 3 starters, 1 main, bread, and two soft drinks, we paid £150. Given the poor food and service, you’re really just paying for the view.

Didn’t have a reservation but they found a table for us and it was fantastic. Service was really great and the food was really really good. Yes, prices are very high but you pay for the amazing views. Would definitely come again.

Incredibly accommodating staff, some of the best fish and food I’ve eaten, all with that outstanding view! Although they do have walk in’s, save the stress and make sure you book in advance!

The only reason to visit this restaurant is for the view and atmosphere. Located right above the beach, it offers stunning views of the sea and shoreline. However, they don’t take reservations, so you need to arrive before opening to secure a table. Despite being first in line, we were told that the seafront tables were somehow unavailable. The food was overpriced for its quality—our octopus was undercooked and had to be sent back for further cooking. The service was overly relaxed and inattentive. Come here for the view, but don’t expect much from the food or service.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning dining experience. If you have a trip to Mallorca booked, make reservations for Ca's Patro March STAT. The restaurant is perched on the side of a cliff, overlooking the beautiful turquoise Cala Deià. We were lucky enough to get a seat at the edge, and the views to our lunch were breathtaking. Warning: getting to the restaurant is quite a stressful drive -- the road is very narrow with a lot of steep switchbacks. Sections of the road are only wide enough to fit one car, and parking fills up quickly. But it's the same road to Cala Deia, so if that is on the itinerary, might as well add this restaurant as a bonus. The menu is extensive, but the staff were very helpful in providing recommendations. Do ask about the special of the day. Standout dishes were the goat cheese and shrimp salad (charred goat cheese -- need I say more?) and the garlic shrimp. We also really enjoyed our white sangria. Considering the fresh seafood and the impeccable location, Ca's Patro March is well worth the visit when in Deia. Prices are very fair. Cash is preferred (big sign at entry), but card is also accepted.

Yelp

Yelp
This place is seriously overrated. Do not fall for this overhyped tourist trap. I've had many meals around the world that I consider to be divine and for none of those meals did I ever have to take such a perilous road and literally risk my life and sanity. So why do it for a very mediocre meal? Because it is by the beach? lol there are a hundred restaurants along the beach on the Greek islands. This place is not good, not worth it. I wouldn't even go if it were on a Main Street in Palma.

Yelp
I came here for lunch during a solo trip and was not disappoint by the food. I first ordered a 1/2 order of the fried baby squids, which I topped off with lemon and aioli. It was amazing and I'm already dreaming of it again. For my main course, I ordered the shrimp and goat cheese salad, which surpassed my expectations. The goat cheese was caramelized and SO delicious, and the salad had a great balance of saltiness and sweetness. I also was given bread, olives, and aioli- I ended up with more food than expected! I paid €30 for the squid, salad, and water, which I thought was a great price for how much food I ended up with and its quality. The only reason that I can't give it 5 stars is because it's made obvious that only larger groups get the beautiful water view. Most people (like myself) come here because this place is known for its stunning view, but as a solo traveler, I was placed at an isolated table that had almost no view of the water. With the exception of one table, all of the other small tables I saw had worse views than mine. If you want to enjoy the view that it's known for, you probably won't get it if you're on your own or in a group of 2. Most tables by the water were for 4-6 people. Would definitely come back for the food, but would try to come in a group as the view is part of the experience.

Yelp
Hard to get to, the turn is awkward from the main road. We missed it three times! LOL Parking is paid, and strange, it's a part of some park? The food was good, but not amazing. But you're going for the VIEW!!! Go, the experience is super cool, but you do need a reservation.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I did NOT have a good experience here despite all the hype from TikTok. I understand it's a popular and busy spot, but that's no excuse for the service we encountered. Despite having a reservation around 5pm, we had to wait a while for a table, and the check-in process was super disorganized. We just wanted to have a drink and enjoy the view, and after sitting at our table for 20 minutes waiting for a waiter to come by, they then told us we had to order food or leave. The food-only rule was not mentioned when we made our reservation, and seemed particularly odd in Spain, where you usually eat dinner at like 8pm. After being told to leave, we asked if we could buy a drink at the bar, and they were super rude. They also were recalcitrant when we asked if we could use the bathroom. The whole place is chaotic and gross

Yelp
Is the food amazing? YES. Is the view beautiful? 100%. It's a little hard to find considering you're driving down narrow winding roads, but trust me when I say the view is phenomenal. When you park, it's a short walk down to the actual restaurant. If I just raved about it, why did I give it three stars? Well, one star was knocked down because of price. It was one of the most expensive meals we had during our entire Spain trip - and we went there for lunch! Just know that you're definitely paying a little extra for the view. The second star was knocked because of the service. We were seated in a far corner of the restaurant that provided a really picturesque eating experience, but we were oftentimes neglected. We waited almost 20 minutes before getting up and asking them for a menu. Then when they came to the table to take our orders, they were not friendly at all. It was definitely a challenge having to flag them down for everything. Pro-tips: 1) Bring enough coins for parking. It's paid parking and if you end up arriving during rush time, be prepared to enter the jungle that is a crowded parking lot. 2) Don't expect hospitality from the staff. 3) Get ready to feast. The food is delicious and definitely not cheap. Be prepared to eat every last bite.

Yelp
Beautiful and unique location! Parking was hard to find but worth the trouble. The service was friendly but a little slow but we didn't mind that at all. We loved the scenery and enjoyed our time sitting there watching the boats and swimmers. Make sure to get reservations because of long wait lines.

Yelp
The view from the terrace is probably as good as it gets. But apart from that we had a mediocre experience - the service was friendly but slow, the food was solid but definitely overpriced for the quality. Absolutely worth a visit for the experience but don't expect to blown away.

Yelp
Ca's Patro March does well for it self in a beautiful location at the bottom of the Deia beach. You can drive down and then it's a short walk to the restaurant from the parking area. Lots of seafood options to choose from. I really enjoyed the squid. The platters provide a lot of variety but aren't cheap. You're really going for the location. They have more reasonably priced options as well.
