Where to Eat London’s Best Dumplings | Eater London

"Every Indian loves their own regional samosa. There are those heavy, hooded Punjabi ones, studded with carom and filled with potato and peas; their flake trail runs all down Southall’s South Road. There’s the little shingara, which Bengalis and Bangladeshis will say is not a samosa but absolutely is. And then all the east African variants brought over from Gujarat. So obviously the best samosa is the Goan chamuça: thin filo pastry, full of onions and spiced minced meat. If a Punjabi one knocks you out for the day then it’s possible to eat Goan ones by the dozen and not tire. For those who don’t have a Goan mum, then Casa de Goa in Hounslow will do." - Jonathan Nunn

The Best Western Indian Restaurants in London | Eater London

"There’s a constant stream of Goans coming in and out of this no-frills basement café next to a pub on the High Street in Hounslow — but the standards are inconsistent and the food divides opinion. Among the more successful dishes are (pork, liver, and kidney) sorpotel with its attractive dark terracotta colour and bright, complex pickled flavour; and beef chilli fry with tender meat falling off the fork. A fish thali includes mackerel cooked in fiery, tangy bright red recheado masala; and this is a rare place in London to find kappa pav: a recently invented Goan street food featuring sliced potatoes fried in chickpea and rice flour batter sprinkled with Goan peri peri seasoning piled into a white bread roll — simple but moreish." - Sejal Sukhadwala

I have visited Casa De Goan several times in the past, but during my visit this weekend, I was surprised to see its renovated look and feel. It’s much better than before, although the improvements come with a price increase. This restaurant is a must-try for all seafood lovers, as it offers an authentic experience and taste of Goan cuisine. We tried several dishes, including Tangy Chicken Lollipop, Chilli Squid, King Fish Masala, Goan Fish Thali, and Prawn Fried Rice.

Casa de Goa – Hounslow: A Hidden Gem for Authentic Goan Flavours Tucked away in the heart of Hounslow, Casa de Goa is a no-frills, homely eatery that delivers a genuine taste of Goa’s vibrant culinary heritage. Whether you’re a Goan food enthusiast or simply curious to explore regional Indian flavours, this cozy spot is a delightful discovery. 🌶️ Food & Flavour The menu at Casa de Goa is unapologetically Goan, offering everything from traditional ros omelette and prawn curry rice to beef chili fry and fish thali. Dishes are well-portioned and flavourful, staying true to the roots with the use of signature Goan spices, coconut, and vinegar blends. The Goan fish thali is a standout—perfectly fried fish served with rice, curry, pickle, and vegetables that capture the coastal essence of Goa. The ros omelette (a street food staple in Goa) served with pav, is comforting and satisfying, especially for breakfast lovers. 🍽️ Ambience & Experience Don’t expect fine dining—Casa de Goa has the feel of a local Goan tavern. It’s simple, clean, and unpretentious. What it may lack in décor, it more than makes up for in authenticity. The basement-level setting is intimate, making it ideal for casual meals with family or friends. Service is typically warm and welcoming, with staff members happy to guide first-timers through the menu. 💷 Value for Money Pricing is very reasonable considering the generous portions and authentic quality. Most mains range between £8–£12, and there are affordable breakfast and snack options too. For those on a budget who don’t want to compromise on flavour, Casa de Goa offers excellent value. 🚚 Delivery & Takeaway The restaurant also partners with platforms like Uber Eats and Deliveroo, making it easy to enjoy Goan food at home. Reviewers consistently note the food travels well, retaining its taste and freshness. 🔚 Final Thoughts Casa de Goa is a heartfelt tribute to Goan cuisine in West London. It’s not trying to impress with luxury—it aims to feed you well, remind you of home (if you’re Goan), or introduce you to the rich and spicy flavours of coastal India. If you’re after authenticity over aesthetics, this charming spot is definitely worth a visit.

The food here was good, service was very average and the ambience was nice. The chicken lollipop was good and so was the beef chilli fry. The prawns fried rice was average. Worth a visit to try goan food in london.

Taste was Best, but I felt the thali was a little less in quantity with regards to Okra Veg, Shells, and the Sweet Dessert. Chonok Fish was great.

Casa de Goa is my go-to spot in the UK for authentic Goan food. The dishes taste just like home, prices are reasonable, and the service is always friendly. Highly recommend!

We started with the beef cutlet bread, which unfortunately was a bit of a disappointment. The beef portion was small and felt a bit chewy. However, the chilli squid and chicken lollipops were absolute winners. Both were incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the mussels masala fry. The overall experience was enjoyable.

It’s all about my recent online order❤️ I’ve ordered from Casa de Goa so many times and they never miss! The food is always full of flavour and super satisfying. This time I asked for a little extra prawn gravy in the notes, and they actually sent it — made my day! It’s little things like that that show they really care. Definitely my go-to for Goan food!

Yelp
Probably the only authentic Goan restaurant in London! The prices were unbelievable, the music and atmosphere as Goan as it gets and was overall a lovely experience. Must visit

Yelp
The place is very dirty. Service is very bad the food takes a lot of time to arrive. Lavatories are super dirty. Prices are affordable . Fish cutlets are full of flour u can barely find any fish in there. Sorpatel was watery and was super tasteless. Would not recommend this place.
