15 Best Italian Restaurants in Miami

"Chef Jose Mendin’s Italian iteration has garnered a steadfast following. With a charming ambiance, the menu features approachable Italian fare at equally kind price points, including dishes like polenta cremosa al gungho, burrata Panzanella, pappardelle alla bolognese, chicken marsala, and eggplant parm." - Eater Staff

Casa Isola Review - South Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"Casa Isola used to be a good Italian restaurant that served huge portions of satisfying red sauce dishes. But its revamped menu leans too heavily on nonsense fusion (and the dining room also got a neon-heavy makeover for the worst). Promises of flavors like kimchi bolognese and corn gyoza agnolotti fall flat, and the udon carbonara is so liquidy that it’s practically soup by the time you mix in the poached egg. Luckily, Casa Isola kept some of its old favorites on the menu, like their spicy rigatoni. So if you find yourself here, focus on the more straightforward Italian dishes. And if you are interested in some sort of Asian fusion meal within Sunset Harbour, go next door to this place’s sister restaurant, Pubbelly. It works a little better over there." - Ryan Pfeffer

15 Noteworthy South Beach Restaurants

"Jose Mendin’s latest creation is Italian in focus with a nod to his roots, taking over the former Pubbelly space in Sunset Harbour. The homey space features plenty of hearty dishes from chef Santo Angello’s childhood, like the prosciutto bread with parmesan honey butter, burrata Panzanella, veal chop parmigiana, braised lamb ragu, and the short rib and taleggio cheese ravioli." - Amber Love Bond, Olee Fowler

The Best Things We Ate This Week

"Rigatoni Alla Vodka There’s a new Italian restaurant in Sunset Harbour called Casa Isola. It’s right next to Pubbelly (its sister restaurant) and it’s an exciting addition for people who love great Italian food served in gigantic portions. I really liked everything I ate here - so much so that I added this place to our Hit List. But one of the standout dishes was definitely the rigatoni, a simple but delicious pile of pasta, Calabrian chilis, and vodka sauce that could probably feed three people and a small animal." - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea

"Another must is Casa Isola—it’s an Osteria-style Italian restaurant located in Sunset Harbour, a small waterfront neighborhood in Miami Beach. All of their pastas are freshly made in house. Try the Rigatoni a la Vodka and Veal Chop Parmigiana. It’s a casual vibe and unpretentious, like you’re at grandma’s house in Sicily."

I made a reservation for a party of three here, but when we arrived, there was no host or hostess, and they told us to sit wherever we wanted. We ended up sitting outside, and that was a huge mistake. As the food came, flies started swarming everywhere, and we could even get a whiff of the sewer smell every time the wind blew. The food was really disappointing, especially for the price we paid. And the service was almost non-existent. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all.

Google
Quaint local restaurant serving Italian dishes. Friendly service. Everything we ordered tasted delicious. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Low key vibes. Nice for a casual dinner or relaxed date.

I came over here for the happy hour while I was waiting for my car to be done down the street. Kevin was really great! He had exceptional customer service and I got a really good deal on a happy hour dinner. I got the spicy pasta with the meatball. I also got a Bellini and a beer. All for $32 bucks! They have outside seating which is nice. Really great deal for the happy hour and I will definitely come back! Thank you guys!

Nice Location. Great Food. I can recommend the korean bbq ribs and the pulpo. The spicy rigatoni tasted well, but it was too much creme for my personal taste.

Google
Not even exaggerating, this is easily my favorite resturant in Miami. I have been coming here for a few years now and it’s always the best experience. The food is incredible, and the vibes are great. I order the chopped salad, spicy rigatoni all a vodka, & the casarecce pasta. Every dish is 10/10. I had 10 friends here to celebrate my birthday dinner and everyone of them will be going back who haven’t been before. Truly made my bday a special night. Staff & service is exceptional.

I came for a happy hour after the beach to sunset harbour. Lovely small spot, spicy rigatoni was delicious, and Valentina made my experience great. Definitely will come back.

Google
Good food. They have a great happy hour with many dishes at $12 including the rigatoni.

Google
Amazing. It was four of us and we had an amazing time. The food was fantastic and so was the service. Definitely a must. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Yelp
Cute little italian gem in the Sunset Harbour. I went for happy hour with a group of 18 and they were very welcoming. The server put together our tables and was very attentive with the group at all times. Their happy hour deals are actually really good! Bites for $12 and 50%OFF all drinks. I orderes Aperol Spritz - which tasted different than the usual but was ok. And the Spicy Rigatoni - which I've definitely had better ones but for $12 that was a more than GREAT! If you're looking fot a great happy hour in the area - this one is 100% worth it. Can't wait to go back and try the regular menu!

Yelp
We had dinner for Miami spice here. The ambiance outdoors is very nice and I feel goes more with the theme of the restaurant. Inside is much more casual and feels more like a ramen place than an Osteria. Definitely not aligned with the pricing. The service wasn't the best at the beginning. We could tell that since it wasn't a busy night they just didn't care as much. Once we finally ordered, service improved but still I would give them 10/10 on service. The food was surprisingly good! The octopus was a showstopper here. Decent size, cooking was on point and the portion was very good for an appetizer. From the main courses, my husband had the ravioli with short rib and WOW, it's hard to be surprised by a pasta dish nowadays but this one delivered! It's is very small so, be mindful of that but the filling is enough to get you full. I had the branzino and while it was perfectly cooked and tasty it wasn't the best one I've tried. Pretty forgettable. For desserts the tiramisu was amazing. It really had a coffee taste to it so I appreciated it. The chocolate pannacotta was good too but I prefer the tiramisu. A cute new date spot for us.

Yelp
First time back in years! We live about an hour away and were super excited to return for pasta. The service has always been excellent, and the food never disappoints. The restaurant is extremely quiet and clean. Here's what we had: - **BURRATA PANZANELLA**: Different from what they served before, but it was very light and fresh. The flavor was good. - **SPICY RIGATONI ALLA VODKA**: Cooked to perfection. The pasta was al dente, the sauce was tasty with a hint of spice, and the portion was perfect. I would definitely add burrata to it next time. - **BUCATINI AMATRICIANA**: Very spicy with great flavors, but a bit too much fat. - **CRAB SPAGHETTINI**: Tasty with a good amount of crab. Parking was extremely easy. We parked in the garage and walked over. Rodrigo was a fantastic server. Highly recommend! !

Yelp
My first meal at Casa Isola was delightful. Service was incredibly attentive and friendly. I loved the taste of the seafood pasta special with red sauce and the crab spaghetti. They had a wide, diverse menu which included classic Italian dishes as well as interesting fusion creations. The ambiance was bright with ample natural lighting. I'd definitely go back and recommend to anyone seeking a delicious, unpretentious Italian-inspired meal.

Yelp
Tried this place last night and it was delicious! Had the chicken masala but there was a variety of other plates ordered in the table. We also ordered a variety of apps, wine, dessert, and coffee and everyone was satisfied with their meals. We were a table of 11, so it was nice that they accommodated us accordingly, and routinely checked up on us to see if everything was going okay. The restaurant is nice, its casual and lively. Theres both indoor and outdoor seating which can be nice this time of year in Miami. Theres a parking garage right next to the restaurant that only cost us 2 dollars every hour so it was a bargain! Overall this restaurant is a must try if you like italian food. I was only able to take a picture of the chicken masala but you will have to take my word for it, everything was delicious!

Yelp
Casarecce pasta and vodka rigatoni are the dishes that I highly recommend here. Last time I visited I also ordered a focaccia which was really bad.It tasted dry and stale,it wasn't freshly made. Also we tried bucatini alla tartufo which was big disappointment. For 36$ I was expecting more, but this was basically a lame cacio e pepe. The portion was tiny comparing to the other pasta dishes, you can't taste any truffles here, and the dish was overall was very dry.So you should definitely skip this one. In general this is a good place to get some fresh pasta but they should do some menu improvements.

Yelp
Service and food were outstanding! I really liked how personal the experience was. We were greeted by Josue, the floor manager and he gave us a few recommendations. Our server Rodrigo was very attentive and also guided us through the menu. We had the Tuna Crudo, meatball dumplings, spicy rigatoni, and the crab spaghetti. Everything was tasty but the crab spaghetti takes first place. We were told they had a new dessert menu. Rodrigo recommended the Asian Mango dessert: it was light, creative and not too sweet.

Yelp
Very good meal. Started out with arancini and burata panzanella. The arancini was nicely fried and the marinara was very good. The burata was also good, but it was a tad too strong on the balsamic. The main course I went with the short rib ravioli. It was good but extremely rich. The taleggio cheese and alfredo sauce overpowered the short rib so it was a little hard to distinguish it. My wife ordered the parpadelle bolognese. That was the best dish of the night. Small restaurant with a homey feel and nice staff.

Yelp
Interesting Italian/Asian fusion spot. Good food, good service, nice sitting outside in cooler weather.

Yelp
This restaurant is FANTASTIC! We cannot wait to return and experience their delicious dishes. Let's start with the service! The staff went above and beyond to explain the menu to us and what were the must try dishes. The ambiance of the restaurant is small and cozy with a Mediterranean feel. We started with a few appetizers which were delicious, we shared everything which I recommend for a large group. The cesar salad was creamy, flavorful and delicious. The way the burrata was presented was something we never tried before. It was a balsamic vinaigrette loaded with flavors and veggies! This is a MUST try! The pastas which were to good to take pictures of were out of this world. We tried the spicy rigatoni, the pesto with red sauce, the pumpkin ravioli and the eggplant parm. I am salivating as I write this, just do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant.

Yelp
Overall not impressed by this restaurant that I've heard so many good things about. The service was below average. We ordered a bottle of wine and had to flag the waiter down to refill our glasses as they kept the bottle in an ice bucket away from the table. Also, the waiter did not know dishes on the menu without dairy- he recommended a few so I chose one and he came back saying there's butter in it. The only thing without dairy on the menu was the calamari, which was done very well (salty, crispy, not fishy), but both sauces it came with had dairy too. I asked if they could just do pasta with a pomodoro/tomato sauce and they did which was nice but I did have to push for it (and not that good- store bought pasta with rao's sauce would be better). They were not accommodating off the bat. My mom ordered the eggplant parm that came in a baked clay pot. She said it was amazing but definitely needed a side with it like pasta or bread. The ambiance was fairly casual. We sad outside which was nice but pubelly sushi is right next door, the two restaurants almost meld into each other. If I could eat more things on the menu I would probably return as it had an interesting Spanish/Asian/Italian fusion thing going on.

Yelp
I can only attest to the food at this location as I have never been in person. However I routinely order their spicy Rigatoni and it never fails to impress me. It is one of the most tasty Miami Beach Italian dishes. Definitely the best pasta dish in sunset Harbor! This is routinely in my top 2 go to Italian delivery spots.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious Miami Spice Menu with huge portions! We went with a group for restaurant month and with the five of us we had so much food! Unfortunately The wine selection was limited for an Italian spot. We finished our first bottle shortly after appetizers and the server left us without wine for the beginning of our meal. Other than the wine everything was exceptional. The meatballs tasted like my Nonna made them from scratch. The arancini balls were out of this world. The red sauce oh my goodness! Fresh Caesar salad and hot bread. For my meal I had the vodka sauce pasta and it was spicy but very tasty. My friends enjoyed their chicken Marsala. The cannolis for dessert were just ok but the tiramisu was to die for!
google avatar

Yelp
Food and service are always top notch! We've been going here for the last 3 years and the food consistently delivers. The spicy rigatoni is better than Carbone in my opinion you can order anything on the menu and it'll be amazing

Yelp
We went to celebrate our anniversary! Was in the mood for Italian food and very happy we chose this restaurant. It's on a great location away from all the craziness of south beach. Everything we had was delicious. Service was also great, very attentive. We will definitely go back again. Pictures with descriptions - all choices were great!

Yelp
Casa Isola is a gem!! The restaurant is beautiful and the food is too! My absolute favorite Italian spot in Miami! The service is top tier! Waited recommended wines to pair with meal!
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
Another pretty much solid italian restaurant on the beach. I like the fact that you can sit inside or outside and on cooler days, the doors are open so it's basically the outside is an extension of the inside. The food was very good and the portions were just right. Quality over quantity. Prices are acceptable and I found service to be good but I would like to see it a bit more attentive. Eggplant parmigana was very good and the short rib was as well. The tiramisu is an interpretation and was also very, very good. I recommend reservations at all time as the restaurant is not very large. Walked in happy, left happy and make sure that you park in the public lot to save yourself looking for a spot.

Yelp
I love this place. Beautiful restaurant in Miami Beach, small and cute for a nice date. I've been here twice and enjoyed both times thoroughly. We came for Miami spice $45 for an appetizer, entree and dessert. Arancini & calamari were both tasty and decent portions. The rigatoni alla vodka was the star of the show, huge portion and absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had the ravioli and it was great as well, though a smaller portion. My only regret is they don't have many drinks to choose from, but overall great. Thank you!

Yelp
A small cozy Italian restaurant in south beach. Has outdoor seating but given it was raining, the seating was limited to inside. Maybe 7-8 tables seating 30-40 people. Menu is simple and limited. Portions are relatively small. We had the linguini, arancini, burrata salad, broccoli rabe, ravioli... everything tasted great. The osta is a bit spicy. Eggplant Parmesan was Ina a small bowl. The best tasting food was most likely the burrata salad. Service was great although no one is Italian except for the chef who wasn't there today :)

Yelp
I sat all fresco on a beautiful March night and the patio area is so cute and makes you feel like you're back in Europe. Amazing service. I was taken care of by Jose who was so warm, attentive, and inviting from the moment I walked in the door. I had the calamari which was fresh and light and yummy (only place I've had better is Issa bellas which is incredibly tough to beat). But what stole the show was the short rib ravioli. OUT OF THIS WORLD. The cream sauce is so incredibly decadent and rich. I took one bite and my eyes rolled to the back of my head-- it was that effing good. The raviolis are extremely meaty/ they don't skimp on the filling so you feel like you're getting your moneys worth. I finished with the parm cheesecake. I always love it when cheesecake is made from unexpected flavors/cheeses. It was delicious (and I actually remembered to take a pic for once! It came with some cute mini biscotti on the side. So glad I finally came and can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Really great service and food! Went in a Sunday night and it was no wait. The food comes out quick and everything is delicious. The spicy rigatoni has a nice spicy kick which is absolute perfection!

Alberto S.

Yelp
Considering the fact that I have grown up in New York and Northern New Jersey, my bar is going to be set pretty high when it comes to good Italian food. The appetizers were good. They had some fusion of Chinese dumplings which were good. The eggplant parmesan was not so good. Should not have been served in a clay bowl. The batter was soggy and the gravy was dry and cheese over cooked. It should be served in a flat plate and freshly poured with gravy and fresh ricotta and mozzarella. The Bolognese sauce was too tangy and not so good. However, the meatballs were fantastic which was tender and tasty. I have to say what really disappointed me was charging for 4 thin slices of their homemade bread for 10 dollars. Sorry, that is crime charging for bread in a Italian restaurant. I have never seen that one before. The bread was good, but it's bread which no one should be charged, especially at an Italian restaurant of all places. It's an expectation have bread constantly served along with Italian food.

Yelp
Two words - PESTO PASTA I could eat it every day. Great location in Sunset Harbor away from the Busy South Beach Chef Jose is a rockstar behind the stove !

Yelp
Molto bene Chef Mendin and team, Casa Isola is absolutely delicious. Located in the OG Pubbelly spot in Sunset Harbor the space has been transformed to look like a totally welcoming European eatery. I can't believe it took me this long to stop by, but I am so happy that I did! To start, we had the ARANCINI, PANE AL PROSCIUTTO, MILANESA CARPACCIO and Polenta. Everything was fantastic, and the carpaccio was especially impressive but my heart felt something special with that polenta. I feel like polenta is so under-appreciated, my mom used to make it all the time. When done correctly it just hits like a big hug and that's what this one did. Bravo. On to the pastas. Honestly, based on the smiling faces in the restaurant it seems you can't really order wrong here but we did the following and I def recommended ordering at least one or all of these dishes: +Sunday Sauce: this is a hefty order of pasta with 8 hour sauce and a giant meatball. GET IT. +Veal Chop Parm: wow. Huge, delicious portion. +Rigatoni: no, its #notcarbone but why go there when you can have this. This was my favorite because I am a huge sucker for all things Calabrian chili. And to finish off the meal, we had a serving of their Parmesan cheesecake. I am not a huge desserts person and I loved this dessert. Shout out to the team for throwing a candle in there for my bday! TLDR: Head to Casa Isola, come hungry, and leave more than well fed. Thank you all for the hospitality. Can't wait to come back! I'd suggest making a reservation since it seems to be a super popular and beloved Sunset Harbor spot.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was delicious!! Every bite of the carpaccio was flavorful and fresh 10/10 recommend

Yelp
The Rigatoni Alla Vodka here is MIND BLOWING! I absolutely love all of the food here, but especially that dish. The happy here is also amazing. Half off drinks (aka $5 aperol spritz and $12 bites! Super cute and good vibe in the space as well. I know I'll be coming here often for the pasta! It's simply delish and I've heard it's better than some high profile pasta spots around town!

Yelp
Chef Santo and Chef Mendin have done it again. This time partnering together to bring sunset harbour in Miami Beach an authentic modern Italian eatery. Located inside the original Pubbelly space, the ambiance is vibrant yet romantic. A group of 4 of us dined in on grand opening night. Only Santo and Mendin can have a spectacular opening night like the one we experienced. Daniel took our orders and made sure we had a 5 star experience. We followed all of his recommendations and could not have been more satisfied. Antipasti: we started with the tuna crudo and pane al prosciutto. Full of flavor and carefully selected ingredients. Drinks: cocktails are not your typical Miami prices which was a pleasant surprise, our faves were the aperol spritz and the Negroni. Main attraction: Santo's specialty the "Sunday Sauce" is an absolute MUST. Large enough for two, this dish was by far one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Living up to its hype. A pasta dish combined with all the meats- short rib, pork rib, and Italian sausage with an 8 hour red sauce. Life changing. The highlight of the evening....chef mendin personally shaving black truffle at our table. If you're lucky enough make sure to order the ravioli bianconeri. Exceptional in every standard. Cannot wait to return!

Yelp
Absolutely in love with this cozy restaurant. The food is excellent as well as the staff. This is a great place for a family of 4 or a couple to go and have a great time!
google avatar

Yelp
Solid 4.5. Nice bistro style, wait staff spent a lot of time going over menu and wine pairing. Food was on point. Chicken Marsala and Eggplant was right amount and not too much in your face or fill with pasta. For Sweet the cannoli was very good and not too sweet. Have fun.

Yelp
The best customer service I have ever experienced. The place was beautiful and the food was exceptional. The owner was very attentive and made sure that we were enjoying everything. Our waiter knew great dishes to recommend and we fell in love with the wines especially the Druken Seal (highly recommended) the food was so delicious and fresh. Wow. All of our friends and family were blown away. definitely in my top 10 restaurants. If you're looking for a great authentic Italian restaurant this is the one! Won't disappoint
google avatar

Chad J.

Yelp
Truffle Pappardelle is mild and creamy. The Casarecce Pasta provides a great vehicle for garlicky pesto along with cloves of fresh garlic. Both substantial portions and both equally delicious. Paired with a glass of chianti, the wines by the glass won't disappoint. Happy hour, at the moment, is from 5-7 and offers seven different $12 bites along with half-off all cocktails, beers and wines by the glass. Cheers to that! Servers are very attentive and kind. Early dinner reservation had our dishes prepped and served at lightning speed. Indoor dining room is cozy, can get loud at peak times. Plenty of outdoor cozy dining as well.

Yelp
What a charming place and the rigatoni alla vodka deserves all the hype (needless to say we ordered it and yum). We were thinking of ordering la travola charcuterie board, but were advised it was rather big for two people so we settled for the burrata panzanella and the octopus and although both were delicious, the burrata was our favorite. The portions were generous and the attention was excellent. We had such a great time, so I am very thankful for the staff. The wine is good too, can't have pasta without it. We went on a date and it was pretty lively, but we sat by the bar which allowed for conversation. I would recommend this place for happy hour, dining out with friends and coworkers, keep in mind that it is an Osteria and the vibe is very much like one. Tables are pretty close to each other, so the noise level if you want to have a private conversation may not be the most desirable, but it was this vibe we loved the most. The decoration is beautiful and so it's the ambiance. We will certainly return.

Yelp
Miami Spice 2021: I've been wanting to visit this place since it opened earlier this year and there was no better time to visir than for Miami Spice (ok may happy hour is a close second ). I had one of the best rigatoni alla vodka I've ever tried here! The rigatoni seemed to be made as half the size of regular rigatoni I've tried (same large pasta but cut in half). It made the perfect bite sized pieces. The sauce was slightly spicy and very flavorful. To start, we ordered the mushroom polenta and the octopus. The mushroom polenta was incredibly juicy, and made when a ton of butter (thats a good thing ). I didnt think the octopus would match up but it did! The outer edges of the octopus legs were the perfect level of cripsy and the pickled cauliflower was the perfect accompaniment. For dessert, we tried both the panna cotta and the tiramisu. The panna cotta was some of the best I've tried. The actual panna cotta was on the sweeter side from others I've tried, to be that was delicious. While the panna cotta was great, the tiramisu in a jar was amazing! Topped with coffee whipped cream and sprinkled with chocolate crisps. When you dug into the layers, you were greated with a creamy chocolate pudding that paired so well with the top layers. Very well made! One thing to note, they do not have a liquor license, but they do a decent job of creating cocktails from prosecco and other liqueurs. Just something to keep in mind in case you were looking to get a cocktail with dinner vs wine.

Yelp
WOW absolutely loved this place. The décor was so cozy and welcoming and the staff was incredibly nice! To start we had mini arancini's and the tuna crudo. Both dishes were perfection. I'm not a huge fan of tuna but our waitress recommended it and I'm so glad she did. The tuna was extremely fresh and the basil pesto compliments this dish so well. I of course had to try the rigatoni alla vodka as my main dish- SO GOOD! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very tasty. Had a little bit of a kick but not too spicy. So happy I found this spot! Can't wait to return

Yelp
Okay. This place is MUST GO. Coming from NY with the best Italian food, this is by far the best Italian food my husband and I have EVER had. We went during happy hour, so appetizers were $10. I highly recommend getting as many appetizers, so you could try everything. I promise you nothing will disappoint. We ordered the baked clams, polenta, Arancini. For the main course we ordered the Sunday sauce and veal. The veal was absolute PERFECTION. The sauce- AMAZING. You will want to lick the plate after. Our waiter was amazing (we forgot his name but he was the bald guy). We listened to all of his recommendations and he was spot on. He made the experience fun and very enjoyable. The ambiance 10/10 Food 10/10 Service 10/10 PLEASE OPEN A PLACE ON LONG ISLAND! We will be the first ones there

Yelp
Oh my, my friend told me this was one of the best Italian places in all of Miami and boy oh boy where they right! Everything was absolutely delicious! For starters we got the; Polenta with mushrooms and a sort of savory beefy sauce. Incredible! Perfect texture and flavor! Definitely super comforting! Crispy octopus that came with greens and a few other veggies! Miami has some of the best seafood ive ever eaten, and this was just wow, perfectly cooked, perfectly texture, perfect flavor, just an incredible dish! Last of our starters was the tuna bites which was just! Lost for words! So fresh with delicious fried herbs on top! Incredible! As main dishes we all shared family style (which id definitely what you do so you can eat as much pasta as possible!) First we got the pappardelle alla bolognese di conigilo! Which was amazing! Came with mushrooms and rabbit and was just an absolute flavor bomb! I could eat this everyday! Second we got the rigatoni alla vodka which was my absolute favorite! The sauce is just perfect, it doesn't NEED anything else to go with it but they do spice it up a bit with some red chilies tossed in there! You just gotta try it man. Third and final pasta was the bucatini alla gricia! A simple dish with lots of savory guanciale in a delicious caico e pepe sauce! Now this was a *little* too salty for my taste BUT everyone else adored it so you most likely will too! For some not pasta things, we got the Steamed mussels which was just, ugh, perfectly cooked and delicious. The sauce was incredible to dip bread into and the mussels were fresh! Just, don't skip this one! Then my absolute FAVORITE ITEM OF THE WHOLE NIGHT was the veal chop parmigiana! Oh my god the size of this thing was HUGE and it was perfectly battered, fried, and seasoned. The meat was obviously great quality and it was just amazing. If veal is your thing, you're going to love this one! My absolute favorite thing about this whole restaurant is the BREAD!!! Finally a place that gives you bread to soak up all those wonderful flavors and sauces! Thank you so much!!

Yelp
We ordered the ravioli bianconeri to go. It was delicious! It had what tasted like a truffle cream sauce, a hint of balsamic, and shaved cheese on top. There was a generous amount of short rib inside of the ravioli, and the flavors were so balanced. When I picked up my order, the staff members were SO nice. Would definitely recommend this restaurant! They looked pretty full when I picked up my order, so I'd recommend making a reservation, just in case.

Yelp
We made reservations on line for Casa Isola Osteria for 10/8/22. We received a confirmation. We took a Uber to the restaurant. The restaurant was Closed. Would never go back very bad business practice. One star for nothing but had to do one to post this review

Yelp
We came to Casa Isola after carefully analyzing reviews of the best Italian restaurants in Miami Beach. The service was downright surly. The tuna "sashimi" was innovative and delicious with the pecorino and fried basil. The dumpling was also a stand out. The focaccia was very dry and disappointing at $9. Spread on side was very spicy; olive oil on request helped. Bolognese not memorable-hard to tell if the pasta was homemade and was overdone and soggy. They are suppose to be known for pastas. Wanted to get the buccatini-one of my favorites but the server said it was too spicy. So disheartening. Chicken Marsala was scallopini (fried) sauce fine. Wines by the glass good; wine only served . Came for the food, reasonable prices and relaxed atmosphere. Left underwhelmed, wishing we had picked another restaurant.

Yelp
Disappointed ! I reserved my table for 7:30 (it was my husband birthday and our wedding anniversary) and I spoke with Josefina (hostess) from casa Isola in advance to know if they could help me with a surprise for my husband (when we order our desserts). They confirm me and said that everything was set. We arrived at 7:25 and they try to put us seat in a weird table in a corridor (solo) way to the toilet. So I refused of course, I couldn't be seat in a place like that, not for a special occasion , come on. I just wanted us to be surrounded of other tables not solo and in a sad corridor. So the hostess invited us to sat on the bar meanwhile a table is available. First approach from the server was in 10 min not even to take our order) just to ask if we need water. Right to mention that "the bar" server was dressing in T-shirt and shorts (not appropriate really). I can understand if was in Nikki beach but not a fine restaurant. Anyway... We saw many tables being served with a bread basket and we re not. And it was the whole diner. They just forgot it. The place was crowned and just 2 serves that night (to take orders from inside and out) . After 15 min they managed to seat us outside which was much better than the first attempt . We order some plates which was delicious (can't complain about the food- it was great really) but the service was terrible. We spent our diner watching the server passing by us and smile but never asked us if we needed to refill our wine glasses. Nobody approach so my husband stood and took our wine bottle to serve us. For me, unacceptable. We order a espresso and they served without a spoon... 10 min we handle to call one of the server and she brought me a dessert spoon. Anyway, in that time I was furious and I just leave it. My coffee was cold and honestly I was disappointed. We decided to do not order any kind of dessert and just pay for this messy diner that supposed to be special. This place has really nice food but the service is the worst. Unfortunately (food -service) walk together. We are chefs as well and a good food without a good service it's not memorable. No way to come back.

Yelp
Like it. Love it. Want some more of it. Everything about Casa Isola is cozy and delicious. Here's three things that landed on our table: Pappardelle with Rabbit Sunday sauce Pasta with muscles All was excellent. The service, the Sicilian pillows, the whole sunset harbor scene. What's not to love? Thanks for a fantastic meal!

Yelp
Delicious, always excellent service, ok wine selection, no cocktails. The spicy rigatoni with vodka sauce is incredible, generous salads, incredible deserts, nice indoor and outdoor spaces

Yelp
This spot has only been open a couple months, but it looks like a restaurant that's here to stay for a while. Don't come here if you are expecting a classic Italian restaurant, this is a modern take on Italian food that merges with beach vibes. It's a tiny little place inside with decor that is bright and beach themed with some electronic/trance music playing in the background. It gives you a feeling of being at an Italian restaurant on the beach, just minus the actual beach views. Being near Miami Beach, the prices certainly reflect that as it is not cheap, but it is well worth it for quality of food. We started with some calamari and their pane al prosciutto. The standout part of the calamari was the sauce, it includes their spicy rigatoni sauce which pairs amazingly with the calamari. The prosciutto was a very unique appetizer and was pleasantly surprised, it comes with honey butter to help top off the flavor. For the main meal, their Sunday sauce is a must!!! The waiter warned that it was a hearty plate and it certainly was. It has a few different meats mixed in with pasta and their special sauce that is just incredible. I also tried the spicy rigatoni which was phenomenal as well, it was not too spicy and had fantastic flavor. This new spot is a welcome addition to the area. Great service and great food.

Yelp
Not my first time, and once again, did not disappoint. Exceptional food. They have a very nice Happy Hour menu from which we ordered two pasta dishes and two meat dishes. Rigatoni a la Vodka is fabulous - with the right hint of spice ... and the sausages - fenomenal. Has a comprehensive Italian wine list. Service is very good, amicable and professional. The whole experience was a pleasure. Best Italian restaurant in Miami. Will be back. PS: The Sunday Sauce is out of this world!!

Yelp
DROP EVERYTHING AND GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Miami, but also....the country in my opinion. For reference, we can discuss Carbone (which is right around the street I think); I haven't been to the Miami one, but I have been to the NYC location a bunch of times as well as the Vegas one. Carbone is stellar for the rigatoni ($36) but everything else is ... ok. It's definitely good, but not like "WOW I need to come back and get just this." The rigatoni is usually what you go back for. HERE EVERYTHING IS GOOD INCLUDING THE RIGATONI, BUT ALSO EVERYTHING ELSE. The rigatoni was mind-blowing and is just as good as Carbone's if not BETTER (in my opinion, it's better), but also the Carpaccio appetizer was *chef's kiss* perfection with the PERFECT blend of 5-6 different flavors and textures. It was creativity at its finest. Then when we got the pasta, we were blown away by the RAVIOLI. We came in with the expectation that just the rigatoni would be the star of the show but the ravioli honestly was like elevated elegance walking into a dance room. Creative, beautiful, magical....that's how I would describe that dish. The cheese, the balsamic vinegar, the pillow-like texture of the dough mixed with the beautiful filling inside.....everything was perfect. We were obsessed immediately. Then on top of that, we got the parmesan cheesecake which we had, again, very little expectations because a cheesecake is usually good, but like, very similar to the next cheesecake. This one was SO GOOD. It was like walking into a restaurant expecting a casual simple meal but being hit with a 3 Michelin star dish. The cheesecake is juicy, fluffy, moist, has essence of citrus, and pairs **perfectly** with the biscotti. If I could boil this review down to one word, it would be SYNERGY. All of the ingredients together create something more spectacular than if you were to try them separately and I think that is the mark of a very creative & brilliant chef. I am so pleased with this meal & I hope they get accolades & awards for a long, long time. OH and last but not least, our server (female) was incredibly nice, competent, and super friendly. Such a good personality! If you are reading this you know who you are!!!!

Yelp
Note: If you are black or any shade of it, skip the restaurant. There was an earlier review about a group of black friends, and I now underhand. My girlfriends and I were excited about this restaurant; however, the service killed the experience. - Confirmed we wanted sparkling and still water. Fifteen mins later, we had to ask again - Placed our entire order to ensure that there are no lengthy delays. Still, an hour later, nothing - In the 90+ mins we sat at the restaurant, we had one round of drinks The restaurant was clearly understaffed. The bald head host/ manager was condescending and the entire team had an air of nonchalance; no concern that their service is subpar. I would not recommend this place. The food was not worth the headache and poor experience. There are better Italian restaurants.
