Casa Isola - Review - South Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"Casa Isola used to be a good Italian restaurant that served huge portions of satisfying red sauce dishes. But its revamped menu leans too heavily on nonsense fusion (and the dining room also got a neon-heavy makeover for the worst). Promises of flavors like kimchi bolognese and corn gyoza agnolotti fall flat, and the udon carbonara is so liquidy that it’s practically soup by the time you mix in the poached egg. Luckily, Casa Isola kept some of its old favorites on the menu, like their spicy rigatoni. So if you find yourself here, focus on the more straightforward Italian dishes. And if you are interested in some sort of Asian fusion meal within Sunset Harbour, go next door to this place’s sister restaurant, Pubbelly. It works a little better over there.
