The Downtown Lunch Guide

"Italian take-out should be a thing. Sure, obviously there’s pizza, but for some reason we’ve created a social construct where it’s acceptable to get noodles delivered to your apartment three times a week if they’re topped with garlic soy sauce, but not so much if they’re topped with pesto. Casa Razdora, a tiny counter-service spot on Water Street, is working to rectify that. Most people in line here (and there usually is a line) will be getting a sandwich. Both the paninis and piadinas are great - lightly toasted sandwiches with fresh bread that doesn’t overwhelm the rest of it. But this place also quickly serves up homemade pasta made with your choice of 26 different sauces. Get the gnocchi topped with a campagnola sauce, made from sausage, shallots, white wine, and mushrooms, and rebel against the dark forces conspiring to limit our take-out options." - dan secatore

12 Best Chicken Parm Sandwiches in Boston | Eater Boston

"Casa Razdora has piadina, wrapped flatbread sandwiches typical of the Emilia-Romagna region in Italy. This is something of a small miracle because hardly anyone in the states knows what the stuff is, let alone serves it at their restaurant. While trying the piadina is crucial, so too is going to Razdora to get the chicken parm panino. It’s listed as a daily special, but it’s available most of the time — just not on Thursdays at the Water Street location. Casa Razdora has a second location at 176 Federal St.; neither is open on weekends. Casa Razdora is open for takeout and delivery." - Terrence Doyle

Casa Razdora - Review - Downtown - Boston - The Infatuation

"Casa Razdora downtown is one of the only Italian counter-service spots in Boston (non-pizza division). It has a huge menu of big sandwiches, all of which are made with good fresh bread that doesn’t overwhelm the fillings inside. If you’re not in the mood to eat with your hands, it also serves pasta to-go, which you can get with your choice of over 20 sauces. photo credit: Tina Picz" - Dan Secatore

You cannot beat this authentic Mexican bistro it’s gourmet, but they don’t have gourmet prices. They make everything in house. You don’t have to speak Spanish, but it would probably help. Haha. The Mole burrito is my go to spicy happy. They made it through the pandemic. Some of us barely did.

Google
Really great place to get fast casual Italian food for lunch/ on the go dinner! The special sandwich I had was delicious (eggplant one on Tuesdays). The bread was delicious and strong enough to hold the generous amount of innards that are given. Atmosphere is friendly, service quick, and prices are very nice! 10/10 would recommend!

Google
I really liked the service (the employees were nice) and the shop (small, but vibrant place in the North End). The sandwich I got was good for sure, but didn't blow 🌬️ me away. It's very possible I ordered the wrong thing, though, as it seems that this place has very high reviews!

Google
I found this place about 15 years ago when I was interning in Boston and I immediately fell in love with it. I found myself back in Boston and stumbled upon the location and was so nostalgic that it still existed. Went for lunch today and it was just as delicious as I remember it! I got the pumpkin ravioli with the sauce the employee recommended (nonna) and it was chefs kiss!!!

Google
Food is excellent. Every sandwich I've had has been great. Its consistent and high quality. Their bread is probably the best in the city. I usually don't stay there to eat-its small.

Rachel Gladstone

Google
People at the front were very nice, but my chicken parm was very thick and tough. It seems like it was overcooked and not properly cut. The flavor was okay, but I would not order it again. Not worth $16 for the portion or quality.

Google
I've only tried the steak and cheese and I must say, this is not it. Not only is it not truly ribeye, the onions are weak and the barbecue sauce does not go with the sandwich and I'm glad I got it on the side. (Not glad about the $16.99 price tag!) It's an old school barbecue sauce that they used to do in Kansas City Missouri ,(used for smoked ribs.) not my cup of tea, for this type of sandwich. I will return to try more items, but I will never get a steak sub from this establishment again.

Google
Lady at the register will sneakily add 1-2 dollars to the already high menu prices when ringing you up. Good food and big portions but not worth having to keep your guard up for what should be a casual lunch interaction. Has been this way for years, only gotten worse since the pandemic and their failed second location. I'll continue to only go here when I have a craving I can't ignore. Editing in response to owner (5 months later?): I actually said the food was very good, I'm not sure what the animosity is for. It's useful for other people to know to keep their guard up at the checkout counter even if I didn't one time. The price gets typed in by hand and happens very fast, I regret not saying something in time but shouldn't have to. Really, this place has high ratings already, I am only here to add context for future visitors and clearly am a long time customer. No untruths spewed here.

Yelp
Pretty solid place in FiDi for a quick lunch. My coworkers and I ordered multiple meals for an office lunch break and we all seemed pretty impressed! I got the Gallina salad, which was delicious and came with one of the best rolls I've ever had. So flavorful and delicious! We were all full and satisfied after. I'd try this place again for sure!

Yelp
I was in financial district for appointment. This looked good for lunch. Wednesday special was chicken parm and pasta Or parm sub Tried the parm and pasta... big real chicken cutlet appeared made fresh... pasta was very good ... wax 17.40 with taxes ... steep for lunch... sub a buck if 2 cheaper ... but Boston high rent district, weekday business crowd, inflation prices ... what yeah gonna do?... clearly a well liked business regular spot as all food look dah real deal Italian... I was ok with a takeout as few seats and colder than a mackeral on ice in the store with crowd and door entrance and exiting ... bread stick nothing to tell Nona about .... Tomato sauce a bit watery Chicken parm in the pesto Alfredo might be better ...good menu options... I'd try again for another pasta ... Friday is the veal parm special which I wanted today Wednesday...each day different specials...

Yelp
Incredible. A staple in fidi for lunch definitely. Always busy but they move fast so don't be deterred by a line. I usually go for one of their many sandwiches and they're all so so good. Today I tried the pasta and I have to say it is so damn good-probably best take out pasta you can get. Fresh hot and delicious. I've never gotten a bad meal and love them. Definitely pay cash-there is a cash discount which is the printed menu prices. Cash is king. The pasta comes with a nice piece of bread. There is some seating inside but since it gets crowded around lunch time I would recommend sitting outside. I'm not sure if those tables are them or the Mexican takeout spot (also good!) or if they're shared since they stretch along the street. Also they have daily specials which are always a hit!! Generous serving and well worth the price, best value for some of the best food in the area

Yelp
Visiting Boston and found this place on Yelp. It is great!!! My grandson and I both got the Alfredo sauce over spaghetti and fettuccine noodles. Some of the best I've had! I highly recommend eating here. The sandwiches looked great as well.

Yelp
Delicious!!! Highly recommend. My company catered lunch from here and everything was delicious.

Yelp
What a GEM this tiny place is! Fresh, authentic, homemade Italian food! The pasta dishes taste like a warm hug from an Italian grandma who doesn't speak English. Every meal is just so warm and comforting, I can't seem to get enough! My favorite is any one of their handmade pastas with the Alfredo pesto sauce. This sauce is perfect. It's creamy and savory with a great consistency; not too heavy or too light (watery) like I've experienced at other places. I also add some meatballs to my pasta which come with a bit of marinara sauce on them - I know this is an unusual combo but I just love it. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're a pasta lover!

Yelp
Such a great local find for lunch! I tried a hoagie and a sub today, but the entire menu sounded great. All the ingredients tasted fresh and were still warm and crunchy when we arrived to pick them up. It's a great takeout place. I didn't see any seating indoors, but they were a ton of places nearby to sit and enjoy lunch. I can definitely see this place as getting packed for lunch, so I recommend ordering ahead and definitely think it's worth the wait!

Yelp
This is a family run Italian restaurant, which served sandwiches and made from scratch pastas. We came here twice. On our first visit, we got their fettuccini with pesto alfredo sauce and a homemade meatball. That sauce was delicious. So, we ordered this on our second visit, along with their hot sandwiches: the pollo pesto and meatball sandwiches. They were ok. The chicken was burnt and dry on my pollo pesto sandwich. I didn't get much pesto sauce either. Also, the meatball sandwich was soggy. We didn't walk too long to an outdoor table prior to eating these sandwiches either. So, maybe if we come back next time we're in Boston, we'll try out their cold sandwiches instead. Their Italiano sandwich sounds yummy. We'll definitely get their pasta again. That pesto alfredo sauce was a winner.

Yelp
As good as it gets! Wow what amazing food. The spicy Italian sub-sammy was outstanding with sliced-to-order imported capicola (aka gabagool) provolone, "hot stuff" (as we Bostonians say) roasted peppers and fresh, delicious bread. The meatball sub had some very tasty meatballs and sauce and the slices of pizza were outrageously yummy. The pepperoni slice has imported Italian REAL Pepperoni. And a slice is the size of your head, seriously. Also tried the chicken Broccoli with fresh fusilli in aglio olio (garlic and oil) and it was cooked to order with the freshest pasta and succulent chicken and a fluffy piece of focaccia to dip. The Water Street location has about two seats so best to get things to go. But go you must!

Mike L.

Yelp
The best place in town for italian food. Bar none. The price and the food top notch. This my go toplace for italian food. The north end is over rated and too pricey. Try this place you go back to it everytime.

Yelp
Quick order Italian at Casa Razdora. If you don't want to go to the North End and want your pasta, this is the spot. I ordered online and headed over to pick it up. It was the middle of the lunch rush and rather than "cut the line" even though I was only picking up, I waited anyway. There really isn't enough room to split "ordering" from "paying" here so keep that in mind. My pasta was hot and fresh and ready. I brought it back to the apartment and dug in. Nice fresh marinara sauce with penne noodles. Very hot, very fresh. The meatballs were quite good, tough a little small. Flavorful and delicious. I'll order from Razdora again, for sure.

Yelp
Friendly employees, nice menu options and delicious food. Eggplant, pesto salad and the pastas and raviolis are delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is a review for the new location near South Station and the head of Federal Street. Ordered a Fino. They forgot the Gorgonzola. This is the second sandwich they got wrong they intwo days. Get your act together. I'll try you out again in a year, if you're still open. Feh. 10/24/19 - Ok, going to try them again. A couple valued opinions say I most likely just had bad luck. Someone told me to try the steak carpa 12/02/19 - Getting better. Fast service. Still forgot something from the sandwich, but at least they didn't forget the 12/30/19 - ok, I'm now a convert. Get anything with the dry cured steak. It's marvelous. Had the chicken Parmesan special today. That was simple and delicious. 02/07/2020 - Just triedd the meatball sandwich. Simply put, it is the best meatball sandwich I've had in my three years working in the city. Damn, it is great.

Yelp
No cap on my matti the most bussin wussin Italian in Boston. Low key soup kitchen vibes "No Soup for You!" Hahaha you need to have your order ready when you get to the front but once you get your order it's incredible! Mamma Mia
google avatar

Carita D.

Yelp
Amazing place! The staff all speak Italian and really care about the food they prepare. Same quality as restaurants in the North End with half the price.
google avatar

Yelp
Having some business in the area a couple of days, I came here based on the Yelp reviews, not Guy Fieri. Not a hater or anything, but I don't watch as much Triple-D as I used to. I went for the shrimp scampi special my first trip and was provided a decent portion of good quality pasta. There was sufficient reasonably-cooked shrimp to be satisfied. The diavola pizza is very good and definitely worth getting. I love sopressata, and it's a good alternative to pepperoni. The size of the slice you get amounted to two slices itself. My slice came piping hot and fresh. Good mozzarella cheese appeared in abundance. It was one of the better pizza slices I've had around town. Prices are quite good here and the restaurant is clean, but don't expect warm and fuzzy when encountering staff. They're not rude or anything but you have to be decisive and prompt with your order.

Yelp
A very popular Italian place for lunch! Everybody I know speaks very highly of this place, and rightfully so. They have a pretty extensive menu and even have different daily specials. I got the breaded chicken breast Thursday lunch special and my friend got a meatball panini. Both were very delicious. This place operates very efficiently, be prepared to know what you're going to order before stepping in! They get the food to you very quickly, I got my chicken breast within a minute of paying! Would definitely come back

Yelp
Amazing, tasty and authentic!!! Fresh made daily you can taste. The staff speaking Italian was music to my ears and made the experience even that much better!! I felt like was in Italy for a bit and made me excited to go!! We each had 3 different dishes and ALL of them were perfection!! The Seafood Ravioli thoooo...... They're a small family business in the financial district so they mainly cater to the people who work in the area during the lunch rush hour. Open from 11am - 4pm, Monday - Friday and I'm all for it! If you ever go to Boston I highly recommend it!

YanYan Z.

Yelp
The best Italian there is. I would go there no matter rain snow or hurricane. Check out their eggplant parm on Wednesday

Yelp
Fettuccini with Pesto Alfredo Sauce $9. Tastes amazing, they have the cutest little restaurant.

Yelp
Definitely some of the best Italian food I have ever had! First - pay attention to their hours! They are only open 11am-4pm Mon-Fri and closed on the weekends. My husband and I stopped in here for lunch one afternoon while we were in town visiting. Also beware that it's a small place - like super small. There is constantly a short line to order your food and then there are like 2 tables and and a small bar for seating. It is really more of grab your lunch and go kind of spot. We were lucky enough to catch a couple getting up from the bar so I snagged the seats. I told my husband what I wanted based off of the menu on the wall. He waited in line and then tells the guy taking orders he needs an order of veal Parmesan .. and the dude says in his most Italian voice ever, "we don't have veal today what else do you want instead?" My husband didn't know what else I wanted so he got out of line to come talk to me. Second time around he got to counter after I had given him my choice and back up choice. He was able to successfully order the stuffed eggplant. We also wanted the margherita pizza and the guy says in his most Italian authentic voice, "you get cheese." My husband acknowledged and paid the person at the cashier. Now could the customer service had been better - yes, but I feel like I got a real authentic experience if that makes sense. The process could have been way smoother and organized better, but it was what it was. I knew there had to be a reason why there was constantly a line at this place because so far it wasn't the customer service bringing the people from what I could tell. Our food was ready pretty quickly and we squeezed into our seats at the bar. It looked AMAZING. I took a bite of the stuff eggplant and closed my eyes for a minute. It was so savory and delicious. I also tasted the dish my husband got, which was the fettuccine campongola and it was just a great! The cheese pizza as simple as it was, was some of the best I have ever had too! The food was literally as good as it gets and made up for the little stuff. We almost came here a second time during out visit because it was that good, but we ran out of time. If you are in the area head to the financial district and try this little hole in the wall Italian spot. If you can get past the BS you will be amazed at what is being served!

Yelp
What is not to like about a place that serves up traditional Italian food to go in the heart of downtown Boston? What would I not recommend here, the sandwiches are fantastic as well as the pasta dishes. If you are looking for something really substantial, order a slice of pizza, which is not really a slice but more a whole quarter of a pie. I have not had one bad meal here! The only call out is the line that can get rather long during the lunch rush, but that's to be expected for great food. A huge recommend for here. Also note that the seating is rather limited here so you are much better off taking your food to go.
google avatar

Bonnie C.

Yelp
Although I only came here once for pizza, I already got a vibe that this place was definitely perfect for when you want some real authentic Italian food! For just $3.50, you get a slice as big as 1/4 of a pizza which is an amazing deal if you ask me. I could barely finish the pizza. I wanted to keep eating it though because it was just that good. But I think it was the crust that ultimately won me over. I am a sucker for great pizza crusts and they definitely nailed it. The shop is quite small and get super crowded during peak hours but you get your food pretty quickly so that's good. Luckily I was able to find seats by the window so I didn't have to go elsewhere to eat it. The menu has some great items like authentic lasagna and other kinds of original Italian food. Just looking at the prepared foods on the counters made me drool and wished I opted for those instead of pizza, BUT I knew I had to try the pizza first! The pizza did not disappoint :) can't wait to come here again because it is definitely a lot better than trooping to the north end for sit-down Italian restaurants.

Yelp
This is some of the best Italian I've ever had. Cheese ravioli was amazing. The meatballs were tender, flavorful & delicious. The prices are fantastic.
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
I have been getting sandwiches here for years (Water St). The meats are sliced per order. The bread is like Iggy's - nice and crunchy. Of all the many delicious sandwiches over the years I recommend the Ottimo. It's grilled eggplant, mozerella, roasted peppers and basil.
google avatar

Ryan G.

Yelp
Very nice surprise. We ordered a chicken panini and seafood ravioli in pesto sauce. It was absolutely glorious. Zesty and creamy pesto sauce and chewy pasta with a great seafood filling. The service is friendly and familiar. Can't recommend highly enough.

Yelp
I went looking for a quick and cheap lunch with my friends, luckily this place was very close to south station. My 3 friends and I shared a cheese pizza, it took only 20 minutes even though the place was packed! Super quick! We were comforted during our wait by a an airbrush portrait of Guy Fieri hanging far up on the wall which made us very confident in our choice. Also, the small place was absolutely packed during the lunch rush! But the staff was pumping out orders like you wouldn't believe! This is a good popular place! Our pizza came in the promised amount of time. This pizza was beautiful, I mean really something special! Cooked all the way, not doughy at all. Very crunchy on the bottom and very crunchy crust. It's the kind of pizza that you want to enjoy. So enjoy it! I would definitely come back! The sauce was flavorful and the cheese was delicious and gooey. Best pizza I have ever had in Boston! Go to to San Razdora and try the pizza! You won't regret it!

Yelp
Best Panini Fino. Everything was so fresh. Lovely staff. Don't let the modest appearance fool you.

Yelp
Pizza was alright not much taste. $6 for a slice that's basically two slices which is nice but the cheese stuck to the wax paper and kind of ruined it.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent delivery. Exactly on time, gnocchi and rucola salad were good delivery choices.
google avatar

Theresa A.

Yelp
I've been here only once, and that was enough to give them 5 stars for their pasta. When I went, I ordered before and it was ready on time. When I picked up, it was a cute little hole in the wall and the people working there were speaking Italian; it felt so authentic. I got the linguini with Campagnola sauce (they have SO many options for sauces and pasta). And it was so light and full of flavor. It was the perfect portion and for only $8.50. Oh and you get bread with it, which was a great little addition. HIGHLY recommend! Great price, great variety and great taste.

Yelp
Decent sandwich Had spicy Itialian You need to read sandwich descriptions only came with the meat n cheese hot peppers Great bread Also they cut meat and cheese to order really fresh and most subs are $8 not bad for Boston

Yelp
Very good food (especially the sandwiches), but horrible experience with one of the co-owners (Bobby). I know it's a little lengthy, but please read below. As I waited for my food, I noticed an email behind the cash register from another customer who had been charged $70 for a sandwich, asking them to fix the mistake. A couple days later, I remembered this and double checked my credit report, and saw that I had been overcharged by $10. However, when I emailed them about this (mentioning that the only reason I checked was due to seeing the other customer being over-charged), one of the co-owners (Bobby) immediately got very defensive, making excuses that they get busy (true, but I came at 2:45pm when there were no more than 2 other people inside) and calling me a "smart a**". After a series of emails back and forth, Bobby became increasingly hostile, making incredibly disrespectful, bigoted, and unprofessional remarks. At his urging, I called his cellphone, where he spent about 5 minutes launching into an expletive laden rant, where he demanded I tell him where I'm from (how is that relevant to anything) and spewed other phrases like "I'll rip your f***ing head off if you come down here" and "I bet your mom wished she had a girl instead of you." Needless to say, I will not be coming back to Casa Razdora, and I can only hope others do the same when they hear about the character of one of the co-owners.

Yelp
I generally LOVE this place. Their gnocchi is some of best I've ever had. HOWEVER, I have to bring this to someone's attention. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza the other day and it was soooo greasy. I didn't even go during the lunch rush so there's really no excuse. Disappointed!
google avatar

Yelp
Pasta is TO DIE FOR. This is absolutely my favorite pasta place ever. If Italian heaven exists, this is what it would feel/taste like (kinda do feel like Italy in there with so much Italian being spoken by the cooks..). Pasta is just so perfectly cooked and chewy (homemade btw) and I. Just. Can't. Get. Enough. My favorite is penne with aglio olio and sausage. I think I can literally eat that every day. Pure perfection. I haven't got any subs or pizzas, but I tried a couple appetizers and they were phenomenal. It's not the most ideal sit-down restaurant. A few high tables and benches. It's pretty small, too, and during lunch like more than the third of the space will be filled with people waiting in line and waiting for food. I think it's pretty competitive to get a table, too. If you're in the area when it's open, you've gotta check it out. It will be worth every penny you pay!
google avatar

Katie R.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious, and way too close to my office :) Go on Wednesdays for the eggplant parm special - one of the best I've ever had! Oh, and I'd recommend looking at the menu online before visiting. The ordering process is fast and furious, they'll call far back in the line before you're ready!
google avatar

Yelp
Casa Razdora is right out of a movie. It's 100% what you'd dream a small Italian restaurant would be. This lunch stop did not disappoint. When you immediately walk in the door you get "next!" shouted your way to get your order, but don't get frazzled. You can take your time to look if you need it! And, if you can't read the board on the wall there's individual copies of the full menu laying on the counter ledge where they take your order. I will say it gets pretty tight in there as you order & wait because of their popularity. The lunch portion of the pasta dishes were just right, and it's so easy to grab to-go. And surprisingly you really don't have a long wait at all! I got the pumpkin ravioli + burro e salvia sauce (butter & sage). The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly. The sauce was also very good, but very buttery as it didn't seemed to be cooked long enough to be browned butter like intended. Even though I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce, the whole dish was great. Go! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
People on here seem to rave about this place, but I've tried it now three times, with three items, and my experiences have been between "meh" and today's "I'm not even going to eat this." So maybe it depends on what you order, or who's in the kitchen that day? I don't know. Today I ordered linguini with pesto sauce and chicken. I had thought with the rave reviews that I'd be getting legit pesto, like I might make at home. Not even close. It's just olive oil with some dark flakes of what was definitely not fresh basil. It's pretty distasteful and I'm not going to waste the calories finishing it, it's going into the trash can. A shame, because I'm famished! Guess I'm done with this place, since there are 9,000 options in the Financial District area. It's a shame, since this place has that nice authentic feel. But I'm realizing that "authentic" doesn't necessarily equate to well made or enjoyable to eat. Oh well.

Yelp
I work right around the corner from Casa and it's one of my go too's. They were actually just featured by Guy's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, which doesn't surprise me because the place is delicious. Sandwiches are large, super fresh meat, and all the pasta's and sauces are to die for. Extremely resonably priced too.

Yelp
If the owner's Italian mamma consents to make it, you can order a homemade tiramisu here by the tray! ($40) Soft and light and creamy... yum! The tray itself was filled to the brim and exhibited generosity of all ingredients. Props have been offered by others here for the carbonara and the eggplant parm. 4 stars *** 4/2011 visit *** Service is individualized, so it is best to come here when you are not in a hurry. There are two tall tables and one counter along the window for your eat in options. We tried a Monday Special, the Lasagna (Lasagne alla Bolognese $7.95 Pasta Sheets Layered w/ Bechamel Sauce & Bolognese Sauce) which came with focaccia bread in a basket (nice touch!), and one of the salads dressed w/ Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Red Wine Vinegar - Giardino $5.95 Romaine Lettuce, Fresh Tomato, Cucumber, Olives & Onion. The lasagna wasn't quite what we expected when we think lasagna... yes, it was layers of pasta sheets, but in my personal (limited?) experience, the pasta layers are alternated with a cheese (usually ricotta) mix and sauce and melty cheese... this was a dense block of layers with a little thin layer of something in between, and doused with a nice helping of the meat sauce. Good for what it was, but not what I was hankering for. The salad was made of fresh crisp lettuce, thinly sliced tomatoes and cucumbers fanned out nicely, (not to mention the red onion, and some olives we both purposely neglected due to personal taste) dressed well with the dressing of choice (Lemon Zest Dressing was the alternative) and sprinkled with fresh ground pepper. Plenty for sharing. This was a three star visit, and I won't be revisiting the lasagna, but I'm up for giving their Alfredo or Carbonara a chance... and a few of their Wednesday specials sound pretty good... (Fusilli alla Vodka $7.95 Tomato, Pancetta, Onion, Vodka, Cream, Crushed Red Pepper & Italian Parsley; Cannelloni Ricotta e Spinaci con Sugo Bolognese $7.95 Pasta Filled w/ Ricotta & Spinach w/ Bolognese Sauce; Parmigiana di Melanzane $6.75 Eggplant Lightly Floured, Pan-fried, Layered w/ Tomato & Parmigiano & Baked) Current Average 3.5 stars. *** 11/2011 visit *** Ordered the margherita pizza $12.99. Was told it would be 25 minutes. It was huge and tasty enough. Two slices were plenty for lunch. *** 9/2018 visit *** Without any foresight, you can pick up one of their Tiramisu' for $3.99 to go, for a nice square of moist, tender, creamy goodness.

Yelp
The food here is very good, and the dizzying menu options are very extensive - they have everything from a huge list of pastas and sauces, to sandwiches, to weekly specials. But boy does the service get sloppy when the lunch rush happens. I would try to get here between 11-11:30, or after 1:30pm. Gets extremely crowded during the lunch rush, and the service is extremely chaotic. Interior is cramped, food comes out haphazardly and not really in the order you ordered it, and there is generally a lot of shouting and confusion. Service when they have been empty, however, is very warm and friendly. The food, as everyone has said, is fantastic, hearty, and very affordable. I don't know if it's necessarily the best lunch food, given that it is 100% certain to induce afternoon food coma. Overall, I'm a little mixed. Food is fantastic but service is chaotic and sloppy, and combined with the claustrophobic lunch mob that forms here, often I find myself skipping Casa Razdora for another place.

Yelp
I'm not my of a pizza person but I fell in love with the pizza from here and now I'm addicted. The crust is so thin and crunchy and the ingredients are fresh and great quality. The slices are absolutely worth it for $4 (see pics) Only downside is that the place itself is so small and packed, especially during the lunch rush. But definitely a great place to grab lunch!

Yelp
Wow!!!! Some of the best pasta I have eaten. Asked for ravioli dish and guy wanted to know which sauce I wanted, they have around 26 choices. The guy taking my order knew exactly which one to select, and it was definitely the perfect choice. Meatballs were some of the best I've ever eaten. That place never stopped the whole time I was there. They definitely have a name for the area. As I side note: It started to rain just as we were getting to leave, and one of the guys loaned an umbrella to my 73 year old aunt. Nice job guys.

Yelp
Yummy, cheap lunch! You know what they say... When there's a line, that's always a good sign! (ok I just made that up) Went here Thursday for lunch. Good thing there were a few people in front of us because I needed to figure out what to order. Overheard one woman in line say that the Thurs special (pan seared chicken) was so good. I ended up getting fusilli nonna - $7 - and my friend got the Thurs special - $9. My pasta dish was plenty saucy and the serving was good enough for 2 meals. The Thurs chicken special came with potatoes and was also delicious. (you can check out my my pics) I Recommend this place - good prices with friendly authentic Italian waitstaff. There are a few seats to dine in but it seems that most people work around the area and take-out. Bummed that they are only open weekdays.

Yelp
I work quite close to Casa Razdora so I decided to give them a chance since I heard it was a quite good place. I ordered Penne with 3 meatballs. Well, the third meatball only appeared on the bill, not on the plate... However, I have to say that once I tried the first meatball I was actually happy of not having it there... They were tasteless and the texture was not the expected one... Probably because the quality of the meat was not the best one... The Marinara sauce was also tasteless... In fact, I think it was water with some tomato... And finally the pasta, it was overcooked. This is a sacrilege for an Italian place! I was so hungry but even though I didn't even finish my plate... I would like to say that at least was cheap but... No... That was not the case... Anyway, since I saw that the sandwiches looked good, I decided to give them a second chance. I ordered a Prosciutto sandwich. Well, the experience was not that bad in that occasion but not good either. The bread was not good (I don't think it was fresh). The prosciutto was not bad, but was practically inexistent... I don't remember they used any olive oil in it... And once again, the price... So overpriced... Al's equivalent sandwich is a way better than that and... cheaper... I wouldn't recommend it...

Yelp
Honestly thought as a vegetarian, even when I just ordered the pasta with pesto alfredo and the spicy marinara, it was probably the best pasta I ever had in such a long time. I was really surprised with the flavors being so on point, and the staff was extremely welcoming as well. I was just visiting Boston, but when I visit again, there is no way I would leave without going to this place.

Yelp
I'm going to let you in on a little secret, The pizza is very good, the best we had in Boston! We had a quick lunch here after walking half of the Freedom Trail. The portions were huge and for a fair price. This Chicago girl approves!

Yelp
Stopped by for an early lunch, small shop but very active. Lots of people came in to get sandwiches to go, and they were served quite promptly. the Salsiccia Cascioni sounded good, and turned out to be quite a delicious (and what I'm assuming is authentic) italian calzone on flatbread. It took some time to cook, but it was worth the wait. The sausage was well seasoned, and the marinara used was very clearly Italian seasoned. I was a bit torn about the bread. I've had calzones before with pizza dough, and the dough used here was flatbread, and so it wasn't as fluffy. It didn't ruin the dish, but I think I would have preferred another bread. But everything else about the experience was enjoyable, and if I return to Boston I would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
Close at 3:30 now. Food okay but expected more Italian flavor from the marinara sauce as it seemed it came from a can.
