"Casa Tulum is a Mexican spot with a space that makes you feel like you’re steps away from sand and ocean. The hanging greenery and nautical touches like white shiplap, portholes, and sconces wouldn’t be out of place on a boat. Appropriately, your primary focus should be the seafood dishes. The aguachile with slivers of octopus and meaty Maine clams is simultaneously acidic and spicy—we love it. Add the governador tacos with perfectly grilled shrimp and steak in flour tortillas. Ending your meal with some piping hot churros filled with pudding-like caramel custard is an absolute must. " - Kenny Yang, Matt Tervooren, Hannah Albertine

"Located in the residential part of the South Street Seaport, Casa Tulum is a Mexican spot with a space that makes you feel like you’re steps away from sand and ocean. You’ll see hanging greenery, blue and white decor, and nautical touches like portholes and sconces that look like they belong on a ship. Although the vibe is casual, the pricing is semi-upscale—crab guacamole is $20, and entrées like pork shoulder, branzino, and chicken hover around $30 and above. Your primary focus should be the seafood dishes and tacos like the aguachile with meaty clams and flawlessly-grilled shrimp and steak wrapped in flour tortillas. " - Kenny Yang

Really good Mexican food. I loved the complex flavors of the guacamole with copious amounts of crab, and the crispy and umami tacos al pastor. I thought the fish was cooked really well, but I didn't love the sauce. The service was great, very attentive and communicative. The space is visually interesting, but too loud for me.

the seafood is very good, very fresh, also quite expensive. the staff were attentive although our waitress wasn't very good at helping us when we had questions about the bottles of wines. all she said after asking the bartender, who also gave not tried it, is that one is drier than the other but she doesn't remember which is which. luckily, another staff who was slightly more knowledgeable and actually had an open bottle that he offered us a tasting before we made up our minds which was very nice and helpful. love the qr codes but the menu font is no good because it's too narrow making it harder to distinguish in low lighting for many people.

The environment is pretty cool - perfect for a date night. I had the Inca Maia cocktail and it was so delicious! For food, we had a guacamole (perfect!) and also the Governador Taco - this was our favorite, we never thought that steak and shrimp would match so well. We had the Aguachile as well - if you like spicy food, you're gonna love it! Finally, we had the corn and another plate called Cochinita Pibil. For dessert, of course, churros! Such an elegant place with delicious options! The food was full of flavors and the staff was so nice!

I love a HAPPY HOUR and Seaport House has one of the best for anyone who likes to keep it simple and chill. My sister and I opted for appetizers and drinks.. From 5pm-7pm you can go crazy on the $1.50 oysters sold by the dozen or the half dozen. Their Buffalo Cauliflower is some of the best I have ever tasted, spicy with just a bite but not an overwhelming kick. The texture was just right as well, not too hard, not too soft. I also tried the Ceasar Salad $8 HH menu that came with anchovies and a side of Sautéed spinach with garlic $5 side order. Margaritas were a little pricy, but definitely worth it! Everything was DELICIOUS. My personal favorite was the cauliflower. AMBIANCE: We sat in the outdoor space which was VERY posh and comfortable. SERVICE: Even outside, the service was excellent and the waitstaff were very attentive without being annoying. RESTROOMS: 2 clean unisex bathrooms. Who can ask for more? 1 star off because we had to ask about the Happy Hour menu. Also, we were charged for sparkling water that we ordered but never received because they didn't have any at the moment. When we pointed this out on the menu it was quickly rectified, so no harm no foul.

My friends and I planned to go to dinner at a neighboring place but they were closed for a private event. So we decided to meet here instead. Best. Idea. Ever. I'm picky about Mexican food. I've lived in Mexico. This is some of the best Mexican I've had in the city, hands down. We shared guacamole to start and it was super fresh. I opted for the enchiladas for my main. The sauce was delicious and the chicken tender. My friends had various tacos, rice, and elote. All very well flavored. We shared the churros with Mexican chocolate for dessert. The service was lovely. We met the manager Louis as he made an effort to come over and say hello and welcome us. Apparently they're not even a month old. But I'm certain they'll last for years to come. Buen provecho!

Absolutely amazing and stunning place! The vibes were articulate, the staff was attentive and generous, and food was delicious! My family and I were very well taken care of, by the host and our server Francisco. Francisco was truly amazing! He did a fantastic job in surprising my father for his birthday. Made sure we had everything we needed, continuously checked up on us and was just overall awesome. If you come, make sure to ask for Francisco! We are definitely coming back and becoming regulars! Casa TuLum, stupendous job, keep up the good work!
