Casey's Irish Pub

On our last night in Downtown LA, we decided to stop at a spot we had passed several times while walking to and from our hotel. From the outside, it had an inviting charm, with glowing lights and music spilling onto the street. Inside, the atmosphere was lively, featuring a pool table, karaoke, and a series of connecting rooms that added to its unique character. We grabbed seats at the bar and were welcomed as if we were longtime regulars. A big shoutout to Marine and Valeria for their warm hospitality and attentive service—it truly made our visit special. The music playlist was a nostalgic mix of classic pop hits, which we thoroughly enjoyed. That said, between the music and the lively conversations around us, the volume was a bit overwhelming for my sensitive ears. But that’s just me—everyone else seemed to be having an amazing time! Now, onto the food—absolute perfection! 10/10! My husband ordered the Casey’s Burger, while I went for the ribeye with fries. Let me tell you, this was hands down one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And as you can see in the picture, it was huge! I couldn’t finish it all, and I’m still mourning that fact. Would we go back? Absolutely! 💯 Recommended 👌🏽

No corned beef or anything Irish or even "Irish" for St Patrick's Day food. Plenty of green beer, though. Music is insanely loud, so I hope you're not trying to do anything besides drink and look at your phone.

This bar is a solid spot with a college town feel and a whole lot of room for activities. I was here for St Patrick’s day and this was the perfect spot. This bar is bigger than I thought with a DJ area, pool tables & an outdoor area below ground floor. The crowd is a younger crowd but still a good spot to hang with friends or meet new people. I’d definitely come back here again to visit their restaurant or to stop by for an adult beverage.

⚠️ DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE – Worker Abuse & Food Poisoning Concerns I strongly urge anyone reading this to avoid Casey’s Irish Pub and Hearts and Flame at all costs. These businesses failed to pay multiple workers for months of labor, including withheld tips and partial wages. There have been multiple confirmed cases of food poisoning among customers, including workers and there is proof. Several patrons became seriously ill after dining here! This isn’t just a matter of bad business — this is a matter of human decency and public health. Employees are being exploited Customers and workers are getting sick If you care about ethical businesses, safe food, and treating workers with basic dignity, DO NOT give this place your money. There are plenty of great spots in LA that don’t take advantage of people or risk your health.

I’ve been here once before and it was great but today was weird. The lady working the bar was extremely racist towards me. Not sure why me being brown should have any effect on me buying some food and drinks?? We had to have the only white person in my group order for us. If you see the lady with the curly half blonde/half black hair, avoid her at all costs please.

We’ve been to Casey’s a few times, and every single time the service has been absolutely terrible. But last night was the worst experience yet. We stood at the bar for 40 minutes!!! , and not a single bartender acknowledged us. The bar wasn’t even busy— they just blatantly ignored us! We waved right in front of their faces, and they refused to look. Honestly, this place needs to fire the entire bar staff and hire people who actually know how to do their job. We ended up going to the bar next door and got our drinks there without any issues. Worst place ever!! Never coming back!

This used to be my go-to, but after some changes, I don’t feel like the atmosphere is what it used to be. I appreciate the service provided by the staff because I know how hard they work, but the clientele has changed. The staff has remained committed to their service, but the vibe is totally different from one month to the other. The beer is now being served in plastic cups, and the darts are being given to us broken. I understand that changes are being made, but quality must be maintained. As a customer who’s been loyal to this establishment and has seen its decline within months, I’m disappointed.

I love Casey's! My friends and I come after work to play billiards for $8/hr and it is amazing. After work drinks always hit at Casey's and music is so good. Def recommended!

If you're in the mood for a great Irish soup or some delicious Shepherd's Pie, you don't have to go to Ireland..unless you can, in which case I'd definitely say go. However, if you're just looking for a quick fix, then Casey's Irish Pub in DTLA has you covered. Not only does it give that classic dark wooden Irish pub vibe, but the food is as authentic as you can get for being this side of the pond. The soup is very hearty and comes out piping hot, and the Shepherd's Pie is equally filling and delicious, with plenty of mashed potatoes coating the top of the pie. The service was relatively quick, but we were there for lunch, so it wasn't too busy. The Bangers and Mash also look really good and may be the next item I try. St. Patrick's Day, as you might imagine, gets crazy, so plan ahead for that.

Wandered into Casey's Irish pub early on a Saturday just prior to a dodgers game. Eddie and Valeria took good care of us and let us know about the game day menu once the game starts as well as the regular menu. They took care of the crowd like pros. I recommend coming here to catch a Dodgers game if you're in town and not going to the game. Good music was playing loud enough but not too loud not to have a conversation.

Loved this pub! Great drinks! Hopping Saturday night! Sat in the back, love the couches and chairs...hanging out with about 10 of our friends who we bounced around the area visiting different pubs! This one was our favorite!

I stopped by for a wonderful art event organized by Gallery Girls. The bar service was attentive and welcoming. Very cute Irish decor and vibe to drink and draw.

This place is a "10"! Great ambience, clean and friendly, the service is excellent. Elana was a very friendly and knowledgeable and courteous! I have lived in Los Angeles my entire life and this is now my go to - pre Dodger and Laker, USC, Kings games!

Amazing time at the Act III open mic! The ambiance is great, especially the outdoor patio. The lemon pepper wings were delicious, but the chips and salsa tasted mad old. Loved the overall experience tho! The server brought my food out to me while I watched the show :)

Valentina was amazing, she's new to the Team and she's killing it! The food , drinks were perfect! We had the burger and half rack ribs. Everything was delicious - my favorite was the salad that comes with the ribs!

Great wings! Large and Juicy! Huge selection of drinks alongside. Fries and Onion Rings were freshly fried from the kitchen. Nice staff at the bars. Many activities to play like pool and darts.

I guess the rumors were true about this place. Caseys used to be the best hidden gem in town to grab some of the best authentic Irish Pub grub but after covid it struggled to reopen and then all the original staff vanished and i guess with that so did the owner who made it worth going to . The fish and chips were REAL FISH N CHIPS. , not the pathetic thing they served up when i went. They gave me fish sticks with soggy French fries and I noticed the shepherds pie wasn't on the menu anymore. About a month ago i stopped in hoping they changed it back to the original recipes and staff but nope. Behind the bar were to angry rude girls who looked like they rather be at home smoking cigarettes and complaining about life. They spoke in russian and would treat the customers ( me included) like crap. Whoever bought it needs to sell it. I just saw their iG and it's clear they have no idea what they're doing. What a shame Caseys went down hill. Used to be great. Irish bar , food brought to you by apple bee's . Message to the owner . SELL IT ‼‼‼ Someone literally said great popcorn chicken and mojito ‍‍‍ whoever owns it doesn't realize it's an IRISH PUB ‼‼‼‼ hopefully you close down and someone who knows what an IRISH PUB should be buys it and brings it back to it's roots. the service was great, it wasn't too busy when i went with my coworkers on a saturday night. the energy was very high, we had the chips and salsa, and mozzarella sticks all very delicious. we gout a couple of rounds of beer and it was an overall great time

Came in on a quiet Sunday. Good drinks and knowledgeable, friendly bartenders. This place was clean and a refresh from the outside hustle and bustle of downtown. Sports and news playing on the TV and we explored the ping pong table. Celebrated my win over my buddy with a second round of delicious T&T, and Kettle Sodas. If we didn't already have dinner plans, we would have stayed and tried the food menu. Thanks for helping us burn and kill some time before dinner.

Great bar! Very nostalgic. I came here years ago for a going away party and the place hasn't changed. They have a billiards room and stage for live music as well.

I think the place fell off a lot more after COVID but this was also my first time back since ~2018. Better for large groups (20+) since you'll have enough room as the place is pretty dead and there are activities (pool, beer pong/ping pong, etc). They have some TVs but the are all behind the bar and on the smaller size - doable but not ideal if you are trying to watch a game. The happy hour was decent if you just want standard beers and service was good. For food we got the "grilled cheese and tomato soup" which was not grilled cheese or tomato soup at all, haha. It was French bread topped with shredded cheese and a side of marinara sauce. It wasn't bad, but it sure wasn't a grilled cheese or tomato soup.

This place has a lot of potential. It looks like the perfect party place. It's underground in the middle of the finance district. It has outdoor seating and beer pong tables inside there's a pool table, shuffle board, and a stage. We went on a Saturday night, we were in town for a concert. It was pretty empty inside, only one person sitting at the bar, couple of people outside and some playing pool. The bartender was nice and the drinks were ok. Their food menu is very small, mostly bar bites. I originally ordered their salad and they said that they stopped making it the day before... so I settled for their popcorn chicken that came with a sweet chili sauce. There was nothing special about them a little salty. I think this place would be great near the college and not business area.

I haven't been here since before Covid. I was happy to be greeted by friendly door guy Pio! He told me about the Karaoke event tonight and I happily wanted to experience Casey's! I loved V, Eddie, and Mel! They made my experience even better at the bar!

Eddie and Elena made the night possible! Even if it was a Monday night. They were super attentive and accommodating to our requests. They provide food and drink recommendations. The service at the bar was an ambiance that was welcoming for us to return. Can't wait to come back with my friends!

Cheap beer and lit after the dodgers parade. Takes awhile to get a beer bc super crowded. Good vibes tho. Dark inside and outdoor setting. Great for day drinking. They played Kendrick Lamar. Good music.

Casey's Irish Pub is definitely the best blend of atmosphere and cuisine, with a super positive staff and entertainment options for every taste, plus great evening shows. I often hang out at this bar and want to give a shout-out for creating such a fantastic vibe. Also, my favorite dish--the beer-marinated steak--is simply amazing. Melanie makes great cocktails, and I think everyone in town should experience this place!
