We are absolutely coming back. Occasion: Birthday Friday, 5:30pm Restaurant was mellow. Staff are fantastic! It's a team effort here. The hostess asked the little one where they went to school. NEVER have I seen a hostess engage a child. It was great. Waitress, Jenna, was able to offer kid-friendly options (no kids menu) Manager, Nick, was warm and also helped deliver food. Food... Something of everything Mezcal Mule Passion fruit margarita was EXTRA spicy Guacamole Chips (fresh and addictive) Wings (get that crunch!) Panel (fire= delicious skin)🔥 Cauliflower (not fully roasted, most disappointed in that one, but the sauce was good) Tacos .. 4 kinds Wagyu (wish they cut the meat into strips, it said it was cubed and so it felt like a lot of the meat was overcooked and so it was chewy) Pork belly (this one was in one long strip, the toppings were great on it) Shrimp (very spicy, this is coming from someone who considers jalapeno🌶️ spicy) Al Pastor (chef's kiss 🤌) Dessert= BUTTER CAKE with strawberries and vanilla ice cream

Stopped by for happy hour at the bar @5pm on a Monday & the food & drinks were delicious not to mention the great happy hour deals. Got the Casita Margarita, flaming panela, imposter tacos, guac, yellowtail crudo, & shrimp ceviche. I like my guac more crunchy but otherwise everything was great & definitely recommend getting the panela cheese! I haven’t had it flamed before so it was unique to try. Service was great and ambiance is modern Mexican. Will definitely be back. Cheers!

Good food, drinks were nice, great customer service. Excellent ambiance. Overall was great experience except for parking. There was one valet person and was in the back of building, so I waited for few mins, parked myself, on my way back he took keys from me and charged me full price.

The food was good. I had the yellowtail crudo which was raw fish with diced chile, ginger, garlic, yuzo soy. It had very good flavor but the pieces of fish were quite small. We shared the fried calamari with charred citrus and it was delicious with a nice serving of the squid. The dipping sauces were pretty tasty : chipotle aioli and lemon aioli. Overall everyone liked their food. It would be a good idea to leave the water bottle on the table though so we could fill our own glasses.

I celebrated my birthday at Casita Mexican Restaurant in Sherman Oaks and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff went above and beyond to make me and my guests feel welcome, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Parking was convenient with both valet service and nearby street parking, which made it easy for everyone to arrive stress-free. The food was exceptional fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. From the guacamole to the perfectly prepared bass, every dish was delicious. The cocktails were just as impressive, and the lively, stylish atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a celebration. If you’re looking for the best Mexican food in Sherman Oaks, California, with amazing service and convenient parking options, Casita is the place. Highly recommend for birthdays, date nights, or any special occasion!

Casita was such a cute spot! I would for sure go again, it’s very much giving LA. Honestly, it feels like the kind of place you’d see on Selling Sunset, where two characters sit down for an intense conversation and this restaurant is the backdrop. Something I’ve found about LA is that usually, the better the interior design, the worse the food. Casita proved that wrong. Is the food on the pricier side? Yes. But the flavor delivers. Everything we tried was top tier. We ordered five different dishes, and not one missed. The dry rub chicken wings were to live for, and I definitely recommend the salsa flight. The vibe didn’t feel pretentious, which can be rare in LA. The staff was excellent. Attentive without hovering. If I could, I’d rate Casita a 4.5 instead of a 4 I would. The only reasons for docking points are: The tables are too close together, and as sweet as the servers were, they kept bumping into me. There was no place to put my purse...not even a hook under the table... so I had to leave it hanging on my chair, which meant people kept brushing against it and me. Our table was right by the kitchen door, so foot traffic was constant. We were also seated directly under an A/C vent, and the cold air blowing on me started making me feel tired. All in all, though, Casita is worth it, for the food, the atmosphere, and the experience.

Casita is a nice tapas restaurant with friendly and attentive staff and great food. Why would I give them a 3 stars then? Well there are a couple big flaws as I see it in regards to this restaurant. I want to start by saying that the food tasted great. I loved the Taquitos and both tacos we tried were very good. The Guacamole and Salsa tower was great in between orders. Additionally, our waiter was extremely knowledagable and friendly. It has many of the hallmarks of a 5 star restaurant. HOWEVER, The restaurant is too packed. In my opinion I feel they could remove 10% of the tables without any major impact to their operation. The tables are simply TOO crammed together. The greatest distance between my table and the one next to us was maybe 3 feet and the shortest distance was literally inches. A lady was seated next to us and the way the tables were situated she was completely surrounded by other tables. Over the course of about 20 minutes she wasn't visited once by a single server and she had to get up and complain to the hostess about the lack of attention given to her. Which I'm not surprised by because her table made it nearly impossible for a server to wait on her without the server literally being back to back with another table. The cramped nature of the restaurant also makes it EXTREMELY loud. Do not come here if you want a peaceful or romantic dinner, you won't be able to have any conversations without practically yelling to your partner a foot away. Secondly, for a tapas restaurant the prices are absolutely absurd. The order of 2 Gringo Tacos, ostensibly a small crispy taco with carne asada, costs $18. I'm not talking Taco Bell sized tacos, these are small street style tacos. $18 is utterly absurd. A more traditional order of 2 Al Pastor tacos cost $10. Nothing special about them to seperate them for an Al Pastor taco off the street corner which at most might cost you $3 but because you're sitting in a fancy white person tapas restaurant, you get the $4 surcharge. Even the sides are insane. An order of 4 corn tortillas will run you a $4. While there is nothing wrong with Casita's food quality or service, their prices and extremely cramped restaurant leaves MUCH to be desired. I wish I could recommend this place because I did enjoy the food but I simply cannot.

Wow can I just start off with how amazing and beautiful the atmosphere is ?!! I went to watch a NFL playoff game, LA rams! Unfortunately they lost but I had a great time, and everyone was so friendly and nice especially the bar tender Oceana! Or oceanita I forgot but she was amazing! Great staff and great drinks. Overall 10/10 I really enjoyed it there.

Casita in Sherman Oaks was absolutely phenomenal! From the amazing service to the delicious food, everything hit the mark. The menu features modern Mexican dishes, and I can't wait to come back to try their omakase. This time around, we had the crispy fish tacos, carne asada crispy tacos, tuna tartare, the avocado and salsa tower, and carnitas tacos. No complaints here--everything was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. And let's talk about the ambiance--it was perfect and totally matched my style. Dimmed lights, no blaring music (so you can actually have a conversation), and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. Parking? You've got options--street parking or valet, whichever works for you. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a shot. You won't regret it!

TLDR: wouldn't recommend this place - lacking flavor, first impression customer service and over priced. Pros: the place is decorated beautifully and our server was great. They were funny, attentive and quick once they came to our table. Cons: several... 1. starting off with why make a reservation when they don't abide by the time of reservation and parties afters yours take importance. We made a reservation. Told us the only available seating was outdoors - which we didn't want since it was cold and windy and the heater blasts right on your head for the people sitting nearest to it, but has no heat for the people sitting closest to the street. We said we wanted an indoor table and we could see plenty of open seating but they said they were reserving the table for a large party that was coming later. Last time I checked our reservation was before theirs so why are you holding tables for a party coming way after us? Strange. They told us we could wait for a table to finish, but we didn't know how long that would take and we had more plans after - hence our reservation at a certain time. Anyways, we ended up taking the outdoor table since we didn't have time to wait. 2. Took about 15 mins for someone to come get our order so we placed drinks and apps all at once so we could get the food going. Not sure if they didn't realize they had two table outside by the entrance. Not even in the actual restaurant. 3. The food is all over the place. I wouldn't call this Mexican because Mexican cuisine is so rich in flavors and this place lacked that. I guess if you sell tacos you can call yourself a Mexican restaurant. The chip tower was cool, but the guacamole had zero flavor. The calamari was overly salty and overly seasoned. The shrimp ceviche lacked major flavor. All you could taste was cilantro and nothing else. The tajin shrimp had a weirdly sweet flavor. Probably one of the better plates there. The steak was not worth the price for the amount you got. Also mine was cold by the time I got it. The side of rice was mush - too much water. It was gross to eat. The tapas style is fun, but for the price it doesn't match the portion size. Drinks were ok. Not very much alcohol in them. 4. Our table was right by the front door so anytime a new party came, they huddled right next to our table which was awkward. We're trying to eat and you have someone staring at you and your plate and it's weird. It felt like we were having dinner with each person since they were standing right at our table. 5. Lastly, they charge a benefits percentage. I believe everyone should have access to benefits, but I don't see how the customer should be paying for it as a separate charge. If you're charging the amount you're charging for your plates, you as a business should be able to cover your employees' benefits.

I found this place on Yelp, where it had great reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I made reservations through Resy, which was super convenient. When we arrived, there was street parking available, but it was tough to find on a Saturday night. Luckily, they offer valet parking for $13, which was definitely the better option. The restaurant had an amazing ambiance with dim lighting, but it was extremely loud inside--be prepared to ask people to repeat themselves! If possible, request lower table seating, as the high tables can be a bit uncomfortable. As for the food, I'd rate it a solid 4 out of 5. The chips and salsa tower was fantastic, with flavorful salsas and guacamole. The chicken enchiladas were my favorite, followed by the crispy fish tacos, which I highly recommend. The barbacoa was decent, but the portion sizes for the price felt a bit underwhelming. Overall, it's a great spot with good vibes and delicious food, though a bit on the expensive side. Perfect for a birthday celebration, date night, or a night out with friends!

Had a reservation for 8:15 PM, was told that reservations were running behind and it would be 15-20 minutes. We asked for an update about our table at 8:45 PM and again was told it would be 15-20 minutes. We didn't get seated until 9:15PM and then our service was slow. Disappointed to say the least. We got drinks at the bar and had great service there. I would only go back for the drinks but definitely not the food. Food was a 7.5 out of 10. Tables that got seated after us got chips 10 minutes before we did. The salsas that accompanied the chips were all weirdly water, over salted or lacked flavor. We got the preset dine la menu and it was alright. The fish taco was under-seasoned. I did enjoy the shrimp chile rellano. The meal was horribly paced and our dinner service last 2 hours. The first few courses got served within 5-10 minutes of each other and the last courses weren't served until 15-25 minutes after. We were full so we had the 2 courses boxed up minus dessert. Also, not all of our leftovers were boxed and given to us as we requested. We are missing tortillas. Food was a 7.5 out of 10. I've had better mexican food and service from other places. I would only go back to sit at the bar and get drinks, other than that I would skip!

SUPER LOUD. Sorry, I didn't mean to yell. But I did have to yell, there. Some people love that. The energy, the crowds, some tv's way over the bar. But if you're of a certain age, it was pretty loud and very expensive (6 oz diet coke, $7). But I definitely enjoyed the food. Tuna tostada, amazing. Chicken enchilada was great. The little gem salad I couldn't stop eating. The cauliflower was surprising because it was an entire head, and not quite baked enough. The core was very hard to cut, and we needed a steak knife. The spoon that came with it was just a joke. The street corn was a little burnt and had more cheese than corn. But would I go back? Yes. Special occasion, early in the evening. It's a very pretty place. FYI, they have valet for $13. And since I'm gluten free and dairy free, I would love to have things marked on the menu. Gracias.

I give it a 4.5 actually. It really depends on what you're hoping for when you go out. It's modern Mexican so it's tapas that are meant to shared. I love sharing but two mini street tacos for $15 is tough to share. The salsa and guac tower for $21 was very delicious. Additionally, we (two people) had two kinds of mini tacos and a 3 small enchilada plate and soda water and with tip it was $105 bucks. Everything was very flavorful. It's decorated beautifully and has a fun vibe. The tables are extremely close together though and it's very loud so difficult to hear who you're eating with. $13 valet available.

Tried out Casita for a chill date night and in my humble opinion it was decent. The service was really great and our waitress was patient and attentive. The food on the other hand wasn't too exciting and just regular in my opinion. As someone born and raised in LA, I know bomb tacos and these were fancy, as far the taco options with just decent flavor. I ordered the fish tacos and the rib eye tacos. The fish tacos were crispy but the batter could've been seasoned better. The salsa was bland also. :( The rib eye taco was tender but not flavorful. I was hoping the salsa would've added more flavor to them but it didn't make much of a difference. I wouldn't say I'm rushing to return but I'd give Casita one more try.

Since its Sherman Oaks debut, Jacob Platter has managed Casita to become one of the best upscale Mexican restaurants in the Valley and one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles, period. Casita's understatedly stylish ambiance and unforgettable tapa-sized small plates, grilled meats, and playful vegetable mains easily put it in the same league as any Mexican restaurant over the hill, but the restaurant defies any simple comparison. When every bite reflects Casita's commitment to traditional Mexican cooking techniques and ingredient sourcing, there's no one singularly great dish to order. Still, you'd be remiss not to order the unforgettable fish tacos, tostadas, and art-like hibiscus margaritas. House-made tortillas, the salsa tower, and perfectly charred grilled meats demonstrate how much care Casita pours into every meal. Special props to Jacob, who expertly guided us through the vegetarian options to ensure we got exactly what we were looking for. Most vegetarians are aware that bean-centric dishes may not always be vegetarian, as they often include chicken stock. But there were plenty of options for vegetarians, such as the unique plant-based take on tacos. Truly excellent stuff.  Ask to be seated in Anwar's section as his immaculate service was impeccable and reminiscent of a 5-star Michelin service joint. Fun Fact: Casita is a sister restaurant to Taisho straight across Ventura Blvd. We can't wait to try!

Thank you Alec, Jayme, Danny & Angel for another amazing happy hour last Saturday. When I first got there I was the only one at the bar and thank you Jayme for keeping me company until my beautiful friend Olivia showed up. By the time it was 6:00pm the place was packed!!! If you are looking for a fun happy hour 7 days a week then this is the "happening" place in Sherman Oaks! I love the bar scene here:)

I came here for a friend's birthday and had the best time! First off, they have happy hour all day on Sundays! The happy hour menu is great with good drinks and great food. Danny the bartender was amazing and made our experience the best! Thanks again Danny! We moved from the bar to a table to continue our experience. Eli was our waiter and was phenomenal from answering every question we had to fast service! The yellowtail crudo was the best bite I had all night but everything was delicious. I also had the shrimp ceviche and calamari which was so flavorful. We also got churros and butter cake on the house for my friend's birthday and both were one of the best desserts I have had at a restaurant! For parking they have valet for $13 or street parking. They have a good variety of tables and booths inside and the bar which was big with lots of seating. I would definitely come back to try more items on the menu and enjoy happy hour!

I came for dinner, it was busy and loud. They have a variety of seating- high tops, booths, & bar seating. Food is tapas style- good for sharing when you want to try lots of things. Estefani was our waitress, she was very attentive and helpful with the menu. I ordered the corn tamale & shrimp tacos. Loved that the shrimp tacos were street taco sized & the corn tamale was heavy on the corn for all the corn lovers out there. Parking- street parking or valet is $13

I recently visited Casita, the fine dining Mexican spot on Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks, to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it was overall a fantastic experience. First, parking is either via valet or metered street parking, which is convenient enough. We kicked things off at the bar for happy hour, and let me just say--the happy hour menu is amazing. Danny "with a Y," the bartender, was a total standout. He was attentive, friendly, and really made the experience enjoyable. I ordered the spicy passion fruit margarita, and it was incredibly delicious. It could've used a bit more sweetness and less lime, but that's just personal preference. We enjoyed some light bites at the bar--calamari, yellowtail crudo, shrimp ceviche, and chips. Everything was excellent, though I felt the yellowtail crudo was a bit overpowered by the toppings and other flavors. The calamari and ceviche, on the other hand, were spot on. For dinner, we had a reservation and were seated in a cozy round booth, which was perfect for our group. It made for a comfortable, intimate setting to enjoy our meal together. We ordered a variety of tacos, the little gems salad, and oysters. The tacos were flavorful, and the salad was light and fresh, but let's talk about those oysters--the tiniest oysters I've ever seen. I'm not exaggerating. The shells were smaller than a silver dollar, and we could barely see the actual oysters because they were smothered in chopped onions and sauce. It was definitely a strange experience, but Alex, the manager, was incredibly apologetic and tried to make it right. Our server, Eli, was amazing--super attentive and really made sure we had a great time. Despite the oyster situation, we loved our food and the overall vibe at Casita. I would definitely return for another celebration or a casual night out. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun and upscale Mexican dining experience!

Inspired by the beaches of Tulum, Casita is a delightful spot that will whisk all your cares away. The menu features modern Mexican coastal cuisine. I love the open-air aesthetic, tropical vibes, & lively ambience. I met my darling Sister B (Te-See) here for Happy Hour. We were fortunate enough to grab seats at the bar, which is lovely and has a variety of top self tequila on display. Danny (bartender) greeted with warm enthusiasm. He is awesome! Very friendly and personable. We had a nice conversation with him, and he checked on us regularly. Alec, the other bartender, and server Angel were also delightful. The three of them were amazing and made our visit more enjoyable. We both got the Casita Margarita, which I recommend. The first sip was pure bliss. We shared the Salsa & Guacamole Tower. The presentation was impressive. On top was a bag filled with fresh, warm tortilla chips. Below were dishes with various salsas: Habanero Ranchero, Roja, Verde, Casista, Jicama-Avocado Pico, & Guacamole. The guacamole was delicious. The salsas each had their own distinct flavor, and each one was tasty. Te-See enjoyed the Barbacoa tacos, which were also nicely presented. For dessert we shared the Butter Cake which was sofa king delicious! We devoured it. By the time we left, the restaurant was packed. Casita's popularity is undeniable. Their sister restaurants are BLVD Steak & Taisho, and they maintain the same standard of excellence from the food to the craft cocktails to the service. I can't wait to go back. This place is such a vibe! My friend said it has a nice Tulum ambiance, and I'd have to agree. Great place for a date or gathering with friends. It's pretty loud at night - both music and conversation - but that's okay. The place isn't all that large, but there's inside and outside seating. I would recommend items from their raw bar, the chips/salsa staple, the tacos, and the cocktails. Make a reservation to mitigate the wait. If you plan to bring 3+ people, I'd highly recommend a reservation well in advance. Valet parking is available, or else you can take your chances with street parking on Ventura Blvd or in the neighborhood.

Estephanire is amazing!!!! We came here for my friend's bday and we had a blast. From the food to the service, everything was phenomenal. The food was really good! Can't wait to be back.

Food is always amazing! Ambiance is top notch and service has always been A1. I've been sitting at the bar lately during Happy Hour and have been hooked since. Ask for Alec he makes the best drinks. Super attentive and super sweet! My go to guy for a proper drink!

Jenna was our server last night and she was great! Started off slow as all waiters were switching sections but she made up for it. They also never brought out our chips we requested but she sent us out this deconstructed tamale with elote and it was AMAZING! She was very attentive and kept coming back to make sure we were doing well. Tacos are street size and bite size there tiny but packed with flavor! The small little taco literally melts in your mouth. Great decor and Jenna was great, this spot is definitely worth trying out!

Huge fan of the service and ambiance here! Food comes highly recommended and definitely would bring people here for a date or big dinner! Drinks were too die for! Shout out to our bar tender Alec! He was so friendly! Hope anyone that goes there gets him!

I agree with the high rating this place has in Yelp after experiencing the dining myself last time here. It was super packed on Saturday night, but the service was wonderful and friendly. The drinks and food came out promptly and spaced out nicely. All the food and drinks that I ordered were super tasty and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The dining experience was a bit of a letdown. The prices were high, the food was mediocre, and the server was really not attentive. And to top it off, my $20 cocktail had way too many ice cubes! The ambiance was nice, but that's not enough to make up for all the other issues. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal or a money's worth cocktail. Nope.

One of the best time I've had! We didn't have a reservation so decided to stay and sat at the bar which was the best decision we couldve made! We sat down and Alec was so friendly; Alec basically made our night. Everything came out so delicious; we ordered carne asada, chip and guac and drinks, everything was perfecccccct! Casita has a very cool and chill vibe, I immediately fell in love with the comfort it gave but it's still got a cool and trendy feel. The most important part was that it was not pretentious, that is so important to me. Besides Alec, Jamie and Danny were also very attentive; they were super sweet. They both checked in on us and they made us feel tbey genuinely wanted to make sure we had a great time. Can't wait to be back

This place is the place to be on a night-- the vibes are immaculate. Between the good music and the good service you can't miss. Plus it's so pretty in her; definitely a good date night or a night with the girls. Highly recommend the corn tamale - that was one of the best things I have ever eaten. My friend and I both got the shrimp and fish tacos and they were delicious. She got the chicken enchiladas and she could not stop eating them. We also got the butter cake for dessert and it could've beaten maestros butter cake, but I will need to try again because me and my friend ate it sooo fast because that's how delicious it was. Everyone has the chips and guac at their table and we gave it a try but the guac was a little too salty here. The drinks are STRONG. Will definitely be going back but make SURE you book reservations because this place is PACKED. Parking is valet which is around 13 dollars. But one of the coolest and vibest places in the valley.

Ambiance was beautiful, drinks were ok depends on which bartender makes your drink. Tacos were good . Salsas lacked flavor . Just checked my statement and they charged twice what was on the check. there's no way you accidentally charge double the amount, especially when I saw the original transaction. Someone is trying to do tip fraud. Disappointed to say the least, especially because a tip was added but someone added an extra 0.

We really had high hopes for this place, and it just wasn't there for us. If I have negative things to say in reviews, I usually go with the "sandwich method" -- positive thing, then negative, then positive again. Unfortunately, I really only have one positive thing to say, so I will lead with that. The guacamole is really really good. Very fresh, and we couldn't stop eating it. Now onto the rest of our experience. We happen to be here for Dine LA, so we went with that package. The crispy fish taco was overly fried, and the al pastor taco was just OK. The carne asada was well-flavored, and cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed having the salt options with the carne plate. If that was all that came out with this course, this would've been another really high mark. Alas, it was served with quite possibly the worst beans and rice combination I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The rice felt like porrage, and the beans were very hard. Usually, I wouldn't even notice the sides if they were average - these were both aggressively bad. By the end of the meal, we were hoping we could end on a high note. The churros were ROCK HARD - we couldn't even take a single bite. Very disappointing. If that was the worst of it, this would've been probably a 3-star review. The service - start to finish - was equally as poor as the food. We sat for almost 10 minutes before our drink order was taken. When we did get our food order in, everything was rushed and out of order. We got multiple courses before the chips came out. The one modification we asked for was missed, and took quite a while to correct when it was finally acknowledged. Not that it affected our service, but we saw another table visibly upset. They regularly had to ask for the same thing multiple times. Their frustration was palpable. Last thing. For the vibe they are going for - and the prices - we were both surprised to see multiple servers doing shots with customers. Maybe it was an off night; I'm not sure. What I am sure about - we spent $150 on a really lackluster meal with poor service - and we will never be coming back.

I reconnected with a few friends at Casita to catch up, and the first thing that stood out was how the restaurant has a really welcoming ambiance to it. It was mid-week early evening dining, so it wasn't too packed when we arrived but it surely didn't take long until it got active. Their cocktails were really refreshing especially their Spicy Passionfruit Margarita. I am an Old Fashioned kind of guy myself so I was also very pleased with their Mezcal Old Fashioned. As a group we sampled a ton of stuff such as the street corn, fried calamari, and the salsa and guac tower before we moved into a bevy of tacos (Al pastor, crispy fish, carne asada, carnitas, and wagyu). Exquisite to say the least. Will surely be back.

First the good news. Jack the manager and the servers are top notch. Very kind and helpful. The food is creative and well prepared. Unfortunately, the noise is excessive. Way too much. Also, this is one of those places that adds 3% for wages and benefits. What's the point of this? Just adjust your prices so that you can pay decent wages. Valet parking in a large, nearby office lot with lots of spaces is $13. Why? This is an easy self park lot. Would return for the quality servers but won't due to the noise and parking ripoff.

Love this place, I've been several times and have always enjoyed it but our server Anwar made this visit even better. The food as usual was amazing. I love the tacos here, and the chips and salsa tower is amazing with drinks. The place is beautiful and really fun for a girls night or even a date night. Everything was a 10/10. Again a special shout out to Anwar for making this visit even better.

Casita is such a great spot for date night or to catch up with friends! Valet parking avail. The ambiance is gorgeous. They did the most with the beautiful green ceiling + lighting. It's a vibe. Even though it's quite large inside, it's not insanely loud so they also did well with sound. There's a cute little patio and bar seating in addition to regular tables and booth seating. Everyone from hostesses, to servers, to the GM Jake is so kind and welcoming. All full of energy and killer suggestions. Many great cocktails to choose from and perfect margaritas. Now for the food. There are so many good options on this menu. Have tried the tuna tostadas, yellowtail crudo, guac + amazing grouping of different salsas, roasted cauliflower, carne asada plate, Caesar salad, fish, shrimp and barbacoa tacos which are all delicious with magical spices. Must also highlight the corn tamale that is not something I would think to order but is one of my favorite dishes I've ever ordered. Wow. A must. They also offer an Omakase which is so unique for a Mexican restaurant but it is the sister restaurant of Taisho across the street so makes sense! If you haven't been yet, you gotta get here!

Absolutely impeccable service. Our waiter Anwar was 10/10 - kind, timely and conversational. He added to the lovely ambiance at the restaurant. The food is 7/10. For the cost, it should be a bit more standout but the desserts, churros and butter cake, were tasty! The tacos could've definitely been better. Overall, if you're here for vibes and decent food, head on over!

Casita opened in June 2022 right across from its sibling restaurant Taisho and its been a welcomed newcomer ever since. The inside is charming with Tulum vibes filled with natural tones and a general esthetically pleasing look and feel. After visiting the host stand, you'll see the large bar (there are a couple TVs) on the right that stretches over towards the other side. The rest of the seating is mostly made up of tables (a couple high tops included) and some booth seating as well. On any given day expect a good sized crowd experiencing good times and good food. The food is modern Mexican and currently the menu offers the likes of seafood dishes (a tostada, oysters, ceviche etc), small bites and small plates (guac and salsas, corn tamale, chicken taquitos, chicken enchilada, street corn etc), salads, large entrees, street tacos, sides, craft cocktails and more. So far I've stuck to the street tacos and some small bites/small plates. The street tacos come in a pair and usually have a salsa and lime to go with it. I've tried several and all have been good such as the rib eye, carna asada, carnitas and recently the gringo tacos which are kind of like your favorite fast food taco version. The kumamato oysters are also very good with a Mexican twist and the chicken enchilada (several small enchiladas in a sizzling cast iron) were tasty. The carna asada chicharrones are awesome with big tasty meaty bites with a bunch of guac and flour tortillas; so good. The corn tamale is not traditional and not something I liked since it was more like a street corn version with masa. The service has been great on the times that I have came by. Everyone I've met has been kind and helpful. Danny (bartender) has made some excellent drinks with great recommendations and provides awesome and friendly service. I also appreciate Jake (manager) swinging by and saying hello and asking how things are or to even help around. I recently met Bryan (bartender) who was friendly and on top of things just like the rest. I really appreciate them all. During the week they're open from 5pm-10pm (M-Th & Sun) and from 11am-11pm Fri & Sat. They do a daily happy hour (5pm-6:30pm) in the bar only and also have a brunch menu for the weekends. Prices are comparable to some of the other establishments in the area with this kind of experience, vibe and food. Parking is street (metered) and valet.

My husband and I came on a Friday night to satisfy our taco and margarita craving. We had a great time discovering more than half the taco menu. Our faves were the wagyu beef and crispy fish tacos. Perfect to share as 2 tacos per order at about 5 bites. I love smaller tacos like this, but they all packed a massive flavor punch and are generous with ingredients. Everything tasted so fresh. Their chips and salsa presentation is most amazing. They offer 5 different salsas and guacamole on a lazy Susan with a basket of delicious chips on the top. Everything was delicious! We tried several of the margaritas, including the skinny and Paloma, and liked their Casita margarita the best. They make a perfect margarita here, but glasses are on the smaller side so we each had 4-5 cocktails. The bar is gorgeously packed with beautiful bottles with ample seating around it. We sat on the covered patio area. Service is attentive, friendly and all around excellent. Valet parking or street parking or if you're like us, park at Ralph's and walk the half a block. A marvelous addition to Sherman Oaks and one will be going back to soon. Loved everything about this place. Too busy enjoying ourselves to stop to take additional photos.

Great spot located on the Blvd just off Woodman with nearby valet for under 20.00. Setting is romantic, modern and clean - very inviting and intimate. Low lights, great date night spot. Waiters are solid, friendly and engaging and crowd seems to be in line with most valley spots. Chips and salsa tower is great! Truly remarkable salsas; loved the chipotle they do with raw egg...if it scares you, man up! Cocktails were decent, not cheap - but fair selection. The bottle service menu leads me to believe it gets going on weekends a little later. Ordered through an assortment of tacos. Fancy, very small and overpriced. At 15 bucks a pair, you'd need 5 orders to get full - but well plated and classy. All in all, not a place I'd stop in for authentic tacos, but definitely a cool date night spot with just the right level of ambiance.

Anwar was truly the best waiter of the night! He was quick, efficient, and never forgot the table. He made our Galantine's night a memorable one!

Atmosphere was elegant without being pretentious. DineLA menu, top to bottom everything was delicious! DO NOT skip the Butter Cake!! Just do it, thank me later! Already planning my next visit!

Superb and outstanding service from Eli! He ensured our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Our drinks were always full, and he checked in regularly without being intrusive. Loved his positivity and friendliness.

For starters our waitress was phenomenal Morgan, she was really nice and also suggested various dishes and we of course tried them and they were delicious. She was also so sweet and although it was busy she did share some laughs with us ! The vibe in there was really nice and not over the top noisy my best friend and I were still able to enjoy our conversation! We will be going back and hoping we get sat in Morgan's section again! it was a blast

We were looking for a good margarita, some decent guac, and a few delicious tacos and we found all three and then some at Casita! It was the Saturday following Valentines day and the good vibes were flowing. Our server Polo was attentive, knowledgable, fun, and efficient. All the best qualities in a a server! The whole staff seemed excellent! And the place was packed. Loved all of the salsas on the susan, the barbacoa tacos were a table favorite, as were the fish tacos and the rib eye tacos. Zero complaints. Can't wait to come back!

This review is long overdue. Casita is hands down one of the best restaurants in the valley, dare I say LA. I've been coming here since it opened back a few years ago and they have been consistent with impeccable tasting food and service. My favorites would have to be the Al Pastor Tacos and Ribeye tacos. All of their drinks and strong and flavorful so you need not worry there. If you have room for dessert, the butter cake is otherworldly! Shoutout to Bryan last night for being so incredibly attentive and helpful while we sat at the bar last night. I will always be a Casita patron!
