I've heard raving reviews about this place and, in terms of the vibe and staff, they're spot on. The staff are super friendly and fast to serve, and the music and atmosphere in this spot is unique. It's a small basement restaurant, but with enough room to dance to the nice tunes.
The food is where this place loses me. The fries were soggy and mushy, though decently seasoned, but a lot of little bits and potato skin pieces. The burger was extremely greasy, to the point where oil was literally pouring out of the wrapping paper. The burger also looked like it has been squished into a ball, compared to all the gorgeous photos I see in other reviews. It was covered in sauce, which is not bad, because I like a juicy burger, but it was a bit too much. Thankfully, they had given me a mountain of napkins, which were necessary. Worst of all, I found an eyelash (or a short hair) imbedded in the meat of my patty when I was nearly done eating. That completely put me off my food.
I feel like my experience is not the norm, and I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but I need some time before I come back to this spot.
