"Are the Folks Behind ‘Yellowstone’ Investing in Fort Worth’s Cattlemen’s Steak House? And the top story of the year, coming in hot off of being published just this December, is speculation, fueled by a Fort Worth Star-Telegram report and some insight from chef Tim Love, that the Yellowstone universe might have purchased this classic steakhouse in the Stockyards." - Courtney E. Cattleman's Steakhouse in the Fort Worth Stockyards isn't just a meal; it's an experience, and a truly 5-star one at that! From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were met with an atmosphere that perfectly blended classic Texas charm with a wonderfully fresh and updated feel. It's clear that the management here is top-notch, as every detail, from the decor to the pristine cleanliness, spoke of a well-run establishment. But what truly sets Cattleman's apart is its staff. "Professional" doesn't even begin to cover it. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making our dining experience exceptional. Every member of the team we encountered, from the host to the bus staff, operated with a seamless efficiency and polite demeanor that is rarely seen these days. It’s a testament to outstanding training and a positive work environment. And of course, the food was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked steaks, incredible sides, and a dessert that was the ideal cap to the evening. It's evident that the recent updates aren't just cosmetic; they've clearly invested in ensuring the entire operation, including the kitchen, is running at peak performance, delivering fresh, high-quality dishes. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Fort Worth, where the food is superb, the ambiance is inviting and fresh, and the staff embodies the very definition of professionalism and efficiency, look no further than Cattleman's Steakhouse. They've truly mastered the art of hospitality, and we can't wait to return!

Cattlemen's Steak House was the chosen restaurant for our monthly couple's dinner. Parking can be tricky, so it's a good idea to arrive a few minutes earlier than your reservation time, especially during peak times. We were greeted and seated right away. The chairs were quite comfortable, which was an added bonus. The spacing between tables was well planned, so there were no accidental bumps from people passing by. For appetizers, fried mushrooms were ordered. They were crispy and tasty. Hubby ordered the potato soup to go with his well-done NY strip and mashed potatoes. The NY strip first arrived medium rare, but our server quickly corrected this. Hubby was happy to finally receive his well-done NY strip. I ordered the sirloin with loaded baked potato and the chicken tortilla soup. My sirloin was cooked perfectly. All in all, we had a great time and enjoyed our meals.

A great steakhouse found in the exciting Fort Worth Stockyards tourist zone! The price, quantity and value are exceptional compared to other similar dining experiences I have had around the world! The service was above the norm and a welcome surprise. I recommend stopping in and dreaming of the days when cattleman landed here after a long run to eat well!

After a day of strolling around in the Fort Worth Stockyards, you have to enjoy a meal at Cattleman's Steakhouse! We had a wonderful meal that had us leaving stuffed, but ready to go back for more asap. We started our meal with the stacked and delicious onion rings. I ordered a half rack of ribs with a warm loaded baked potato and a fresh salad. My friend ordered the filet with mashed potatoes and a side salad as well. The ribs and steak were cooked and seasoned perfectly. I would recommend making reservations if you can. We were on the waitlist until a couple of spots opened up at the bar to snag. Make sure to eat at Cattleman's Steakhouse next time you are in the Stockyards!

This was definitely a great place to eat out at, we decided to come and eat here when visiting Ft.worth and tho the prices were higher than expected the overall service and food was amazing. The servers do there job very well and are very polite. The atmosphere is awesome with a old western style feel. I definitely highly recommend coming and eating here at least once if money is tight i recommend the spicy house wings, the steak is great, the coubtry fried steak was also top notch.

Google
I’ll start with the good. Excellent service, the atmosphere was great and the sides and fixins were really good! The steaks were NOT GOOD. The pricing reflected very high quality beef but the flavor did not. There was very little crust, the focus seemed to be on nice looking grill marks rather than texture and flavor. I’m not sure if it was because of the grill presses they used but the steaks had the consistency of boiled meat that was later seared. NO, I don’t mean sous vide, I mean boiled. I know that is not how they prepared them but it seems that the grill press may not have allowed the surface moisture to evaporate, effectively steaming the steak. This steak house, in my opinion was not worth the money. I do appreciate the experience and can check this one off my list but we will not be returning. My wife’s words, “glad we didn’t come here for a special occasion”

Lori Hefley

Google
The service was excellent. They're doing remodeling and so I bet it's going to be really nice. I had the braised beef ribs with a red wine sauce. They weren't what I was expecting. They tasted baked and with gravy. The wedge salad was amazing!!!

Google
Ordered onion rings, 6666 ale, and a bone in 28 day dry aged prime ribeye steak, medium rare. It came with a salad, loaded baked potato, and I got a creamed spinach side. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. The steak was flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly. The service was top notch as well. I’m glad that I gave this restaurant a try. I’m not sure why there were any bad reviews. Maybe they ordered poorly or got well done steaks? Mine was terrific. They also offer Wagyu steaks for a premium that I may try another time. They are owned by the producers of Yellowstone and they get their steaks from a local Texas ranch. 6666 Ranch. Not a bad choice for dinner. Enjoy!

Yelp
A fantastic nostalgic experience Meat is fantastic Ambience of the old days is why you come and return each time Appetizers calf fries are a must

Yelp
I have always loved this place. It wasn't fancy, but the food was good and it had an old school western charm. Today I took my family there to celebrate a birthday and I was embarrassed that this was my choice. If I had been made aware that it was a construction zone I would have brought them another time. I actually called to make a change to the reservation and spoke to someone. That would have been the perfect opportunity to mention the construction. We walked into plywood walls, cramped space and nothing about it was charming. The food was fine for the most part, but my mother and I both order the stroganoff. It was inedible. Neither one of us ate more than a few bites. I want this place to be great again. I want to get that amazing steak at a fair price with good service. We were pretty sure it was our servers first day as well. I'm not going to blame her for that. I don't think she was well trained. She kept forgetting to bring us stuff. She struggled to gather our plates after we ate and almost dropped them. I got up and went and got salt and pepper off of a table when other diners left because she kept forgetting to bring us some. When I said that two of our 6 meals were not good, she said thank you for letting her know. She didn't mention it, but it appears she took those two meals off our bill. I didn't see that until I got home and looked at my email receipt. I wish she'd said something at the time so I could have thanked her properly. I will go back, but only after the construction is completely done. I hope the personnel issues are resolved at that time too.

Yelp
Really disappointing, despite the nice waitress that assisted us. Was here a long time ago and had a fantastic dinner. Tonight not so much. Rushed. No beers I asked for. No wines either. Construction ongoing but not on website. Seated by a temporary wall that let the cold in. Appetizers under cooked. Wife's steak undercooked, mine over cooked. Tbone barely had a piece of bone and none separated the strip loin from the tenderloin. They were good and edible but not what I expect for the price in the menu. Manager stopped by and asked so I shared my concerns politely and was just met with well if there if there is something I can get you let me know but nothing to address the current concerns. Hope things are better when they are done with renovations.

Yelp
We were a group of 15 having dinner after a work meeting. We made reservations in advance. We were seated right on time and had a nice table in the middle of the restaurant. We could see the grill which was pretty cool (and hot). We ordered appetizers for the table and got ready for our big meal. Our waitresses were attentive. We ordered the cocktail shrimp. I had the fried shrimp and Mac and cheese. The shrimp in both were large and fried nicely. The Mac and cheese needed seasoning but still good. We also had fried onion rings that were crispy and battered with a seasoned crust. The cowtown berry splash was one of my two drinks. It was good and refreshing because it was warm inside the restaurant. I can't remember the name of the first drink I had but it was good too. Nice place and they are expanding so will not be so crowded. We were in and out in about two hours.

Yelp
While in Fort Worth for work, I wanted to find a good steakhouse. Where else to get good steaks but in Texas, right? Near the historic stockyards was this gem. After walking inside, we noted that they were busy. My coworker and I got one of the last 2 tables. We shared an order of hand battered onion rings and fried mushrooms. Both were absolutely delicious. They are definitely big portions, so 2 appetizers between 2 people means that we could not finish the appetizers and also finish the steaks that we were about to order. My coworker ordered the K.C. Strip and I ordered the Texas T-Bone. My coworker's steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare goodness and he devoured it in short order. My T-Bone was also cooked to medium rare perfection and was definitely filling. I'm glad that I didn't order the bigger steaks as I would not have been able to finish them. They had a couple of desserts that were interesting but after such a big meal, I simply had no room for dessert. Maybe the next time I'm in the area, I won't order the appetizers and try one of their desserts. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was very attentive to us. Refills on drinks and such was always taken care of and much appreciated. If you are looking for a good steakhouse that has a hopping atmosphere, give this place a try.

Yelp
Most of it is under construction. I hope they don't ruin the western historical ambiance of this steakhouse. It was 5 pm an a 45 minute wait for 2. Usually a great steak but we left.

Michelle S.

Yelp
It's an "okay" steakhouse. It's not my personal favorite, but the food was still very good. I still like H3 Ranch a little more. I will say, the waitress was very nice and attentive, we were here for my birthday and she came out with a delicious sliced of cheesecake and got the whole restaurant to sing Happy Birthday to me. The Shrimp Cocktail was delicious, and huge! The rolls were okay, definitely not my favorite. By the time we got to ordering our entrees, I was stuffed, so my husband and I just shared the Ribeye. We got a side of asparagus, mashed potatoes, and chimichurri. All were delicious! This is still a great place, just wouldn't be my first choice honestly.

Kevin W.

Yelp
We made reservations on a Thursday night but it wasn't really all that busy. The decor and dining room is seriously dated, and they have a sign posted that they are beginning a remodeling project. We started with some calf fries and a shrimp cocktail. The calf fries were tender and tasty, and they came with gravy that was decent. The shrimp cocktail was served on an old school dish that was neat and the shrimp were good sized. I ordered a bone in 28 day aged ribeye, the wife had a NY strip and my son ordered a chicken fried steak. The steaks had a slight smoky taste, which I believe is due to cooking on a wood fired flame. We really enjoyed the steaks. The chicken fried steak was tender, slightly salty and the breading stayed crispy- quality CFS representation. The entrees are plated on some old school metal plates, reminiscent of the sirloin stockade a la 1992 or something. The food is pretty darn good but the overall experience just doesn't live up to the cost. I mean I don't mind paying that for a steak but the decor makes me feel like I'm in a roadhouse from the 70's. It's not terribly expensive, but you feel like it's a dive bar.

Randy A.

Yelp
Top notch one of the best steaks I have ever had. Ordered the bone in ribeye cooked to perfection. Service was out of this world.

Josh S.

Yelp
We stopped in to get out of the cold and grab a snack. The menu was interesting and we sampled more than planned. The steak tartare was excellent. I would return just for that. We asked the waitress what was popular and her recommendation of the onion rings was a definite example that everything is bigger in Texas. They are not a single starving and demand to be shared. They were huge and well done. The dining room was inviting and the open wood fired grill provided wonderful aromas. They are working to expand an outdoor patio with a stage, which will be amazing. Enjoyed the experience very much and would add it to my recommendations should you be in the stockyards. In an area filled with touristy dining options, there were lunch meetings happening, an indication this is an elevated spot where the locals go. And did I mention you should try the tartare?

Shellie S.

Yelp
Had reservations for 3 pm finally got seated at 4, husband ordered the tomahawk the steak had a bad taste and the bone smelled really rancid, asked about the smell of it they convinced us it was normal so we spent 108.00 on a bad steak we can't eat due to being spoiled. The staff was great but won't be back worst 240 I've ever spent for steak dinners for two !

Catalina G.

Yelp
This place wasn't bad, but it just wasn't our favorite. They cook with A LOT of pepper. The salad to start was very good and the croutons were some of the best I've ever had.

Todd D.

Yelp
The onion rings and the 10oz fillet were great. However, the bone in ribeye was on of the worst steaks I've ever had in my life. There was so much grizzle that the steak was inedible.

Peter I.

Yelp
Sometimes it's good to be elite. On a packed Friday night at this fantastic historic restaurant, we found out last minute my wife's old bud from high school was going to join us. Oh man.... We walked into a scene.... But a flash of a black 12 year elite page put us in a private room for 4. Hey, gotta use the power sometimes. From that point on, we had 3.5 hours of laughter and great food. Plus ended with a free Yelp check carrot cake for 4!!!! Outrageous. Highlights were onion rings, every steak served and my fall off the bone ribs. The room was too dark to take good pix, but look at other reviews to see if needed. Al of the was perfectly done by Kelsie who was adorable and on point. All great night with friends and food. Ok, and wine!!!

Conner S.

Yelp
What a sad return to the Stockyards. Cattlemen's was such a disappointment. I had such high expectations on the food but everything was pretty rough. First off, this restaurant has zero clue what its identify is. Is this intended to be a high end steakhouse or saloon? Because the prices & ambience don't really match. The drinks were priced decent but customer service was slow & they seemed bothered at best. It took forever to get our order in & to get our table set up. Second, and most importantly the food. $56 for a 9oz Center Cut "Rose of Texas" Filet mignon. Top 3 worst steak I've ever eaten. Zero flavor. It was so tough & overcooked on the outside it was almost inedible. The horseradish mashed potatoes were a joke, so much horseradish it was like tear gas. The corn was just fine. Overall it was a horrible experience, would think about going back for a cocktail but that's all.

Freda R.

Yelp
Small space, but the service and the steak were awesome! I ordered a mashed potato concoction, which was not my fav, and had a deliciously fresh side salad. Shared chicken wings for appetizers. Had soft delicious rolls! It's been a couple of weeks ago, but mouth is watering thinking about it! All I can say is I can wait to go back!

Chelsea R.

Yelp
Cattlemen's Fort Worth Steak House delivers a remarkable dining experience, sourcing their meat from the renowned 6666 Ranch. The spicy cowboy shrimp starter was a top bite for me, perfectly complementing the main attraction--the steak, which was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. The ambiance was rustic yet inviting, A must-visit for steak enthusiasts looking to savor top-quality meat in a true Texan setting.

Robert S.

Yelp
One of the absolute best house salads in Fort Worth or anywhere has been significantly changed. The bread basket was never particularly good is less so now. An off night for the baked potatoes. Overcooked on the bottom and way too much salt. Great silver lining was that the 10 oz Rose of Texas was excellent although not hot served on a cold platter. I'm sure it's difficult operating in a remodel environment but food quality could be much better. Server was very good. I'm a 60+ year customer. My first memories there the waitresses wore holsters with little pistols. They served everyone a complimentary rib. It will be expected but it will be sad to go back post remodel and most likely all the old stock photos will be gone. Time marches on.

Aaron D.

Yelp
I took my beautiful wife here for a date night. We both love the stockyards in Fort Worth. This place fit well with the cowboy and cattle vibe. I loved the inside of the restaurant with its big pictures of prize cows and murals. We both ordered the filet mignon. I also got a baked potato as a side. Our food came out quickly. The food was okay. It's not that it was cooked bad or bland. It just that my steak and potato was covered in too much salt. After an awhile it got hard to finish so I just stopped. Service was good. Our server did a great job and was very friendly. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a fun, touristy taste of Texas. I would just ask them go light on the salt.

Rich R.

Yelp
Where to start... Cliff notes: Go to H3, you'll be much happier. Ambiance - If you like your upscale steak houses loud, brightly lit and crowded, this is the place for you. If you're extra special (like me) you get to have steaks grilling about 3ft behind your head. Food - The steaks were average. No where near the grade they claim them to be. The "chef" had heavy hands when it came to the salt. We actually had to send back one appetizer (which we never do). Service - Was okay. The server was polite and fairly attentive. The manager didn't come by to check in about the app getting sent back (we didn't expect her to, but we were told she'd be by) All in all I would expect this from an Outback or Logans. The dining experience is no where near the level of price. H3 is next door. Try the burnt ends. You won't be sorry.

Jenny P.

Yelp
Service was attentive and friendly. Food was okay. Steaks needed a bit more salt to it but still Delicious. I definitely recommend the mud pie!

Kelly N.

Yelp
In all the busy of Fort Worth Stockyards, Cattlemen's was worth the wait and delicious. Service was attentive and the ambience of cowboy and Yellowstone (tv show) was intriguing. Old saloon-like feeling with eye catching decor. The food was on spot with all of us getting steaks, when that was what we were looking for. If you are a well done steak, be sure to really ask for it or it will be cooked (according to my husband) how a steak should be cooked. Hehe Pick your soup or salad each option is fresh and the sides are worth it. Love all the fixings that are given when you get a baked potato! Definitely don't short you. Right is the heart of the stockyards and we would definitely go again.

Martin C.

Yelp
Nice Steakhouse in the Ft. Worth Stockyards, been open for 75 years. Steaks grilled over fire in the dinning room. Excellent service, we had 10 oz filet with shrimp and street corn. For old timers you will not recognize the new venue, huge patio under construction.

Cindy E.

Yelp
First let me just say our waitress Nora was Excellent. Very attentive, always asking how everything was and if we needed anything. We don't get that kind of service very often anymore. Our meal started with the fried mushrooms and they were breaded and seasoned perfectly. I had the filet and lobster. The lobster was big and tasty and the filet was cooked just right. We got the homemade pecan pie to go because we were so full and it was Delicious! Overall it was a Great experience and Delicious meal!

Erica N.

Yelp
Definitely check this place out, but with a reservation! We waited 2 hrs to get a table, which we were fine with. The weather was beautiful so get got drinks from the bar and waited outside. I got the braised short ribs, too sweet for me but everything else was great

Jason B.

Yelp
We threw a surprise birthday party for my nephew here and the staff was very friendly very organized. They had our table ready and decorated the staff was great help great customer service. We had an awesome time not to mention. The steaks were delicious. Really enjoyed ourselves. we will definitely be back.

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
Location Right on main street-north of Stockyards Parking Street for free or lots fir $10. Valet available Atmosphere Popular local cowboy themed restaurant Service Shelby rocked the bar. Fantastic. The customers never stopped as well as serving up drinks fir tables. Seating Bar-immediate seating or side bar and pounce on empty bar seats-we had our name on list-30 min wait but got bar seats almost immediately. Manu Steaks, drinks, salads.baked potato, ribs. Rolls are warm and complimentary. We had the salad, steak, baked potato. The salad was fresh and plentiful. The steak was cooked perfectly. The baked potato had something like a salt rub all over the skin. They bring a potato fixins trio of bacon bits, cheese, and chives-large dollop of sour cream and lots more f fresh butter patties. Summary Popular stockyard restaurant-go to bar if there's a wait. Steak is delish. Service-fantastic! Love this place!!

April H.

Yelp
It was always one of our favorite restaurants when we want a good steak. However with the remodeling going on its sub par on the ribeye. Was overcooked for medium Rare, tough with hardly any meat only fat. No flavor. My husband's sirloin was nice though but charged him for the filet mignon. Way higher.

Stephanie O.

Yelp
We went to celebrate my husbands birthday here, due to his memory of this place as a child. However, the memory bubbles were dashed almost immediately upon entering the establishment. It appears that the ambiance of this place is very commercialized. Was it bad? No! Was it reflective of the pricing that one pays- no. It has a saloon vibe to it. The service was ok. Our waiter came quickly, made suggestions, took order and quickly moved on to another table. He told us he had many tables on the other side of the restaurant and would do his best to help us. Ok, so as a customer I don't want to feel like a burden or an extra table that he is required to attend to. Food was just ok. I got a ribeye and husband got a t-bone. It looked like they were sous vided because there were little to no grill lines. Just disappointed. Potatoes are potatoes and the dinner salad was lettuce and croutons drowned in dressing. We ordered the cheesecake for dessert. It was just ok. Waiter didn't even ask what topping we wanted on it (supposed to be chocolate or raspberry), just brought out plate with a naked cheesecake. All in all - for the amount of money you spend for two people on this meal- not worth it. Told my husband we could have gone to Texas Roadhouse and ordered the same meal for half the price AND a better salad.

Bradley C.

Yelp
Visited the Forth Worth Stockyards and wanted a steak of course! Had reservations for 2 at 5pm on Saturday night and were seated immediately . This place is what it is. It is nothing fancy at all and is just a place to get fed. I liked the rustic feel of the dining room and the many large photos of vintage cattle show winners. I had a 9 ounce Rose o' Texas tenderloin filet cooked "medium rare", mashed potatoes, Caesar salad. Iced tea. My son had chicken fried steak and gravy, mashed potato's and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. Iced tea We got a large order of Wine simmered whole mushrooms for the table. They also brought a basket of rolls. I thought my filet was a little undercooked for what I ordered, but I hung with it and it was good. Good flavor and tender. Mashed potatoes and Caesar salad were pretty standard fare. Their house made steak sauce was too sweet for my taste. My son did not really like his chicken fried steak and said it was very tough. He ate less than half of it. He said his soup was just "ok". The food we had was edible and tasty, but not great. The atmosphere was good, not fancy or pretentious. Service from Nora was friendly and on point. Check was around $102 and left a $20 tip.

Niki C.

Yelp
Amazing food! From the bread to the steak and salad everything was beautifully prepared. Staff were very helpful and kind! The ambiance in the building was a classy and comfortable place to relax, chat and enjoy amazing food and drink.

Christine C.

Yelp
During our recent visit to Fort Worth, an employee from a local brewery shared their recommendations for all the great things the city had to offer. Cattleman's came highly recommended and did not disappoint!! Not mobbed like the other trendy spots and the food was outstanding. So great, that we went back two days in a row. It's under construction so don't let the exterior deter you. They are open and wonderful. Special shout out to our waiters, Cynthia and Trace. Both gave perfect service and they are lucky to have them.

Danny A.

Yelp
Service was good and the staff were friendly, which is why I'd give a 2 star. The food was normal, nothing special. Overpriced steak as you'd expect because they're a "steak house". What really annoyed me was a credit card fee of %4 that's added to the bill regardless if you pay credit or cash. It's labeled on the receipt as "plastic money fee". Sooooooo pretty much you're penalized for paying for your food. Very annoying and left a bad taste after eating an everyday steak.

Kaylee G.

Yelp
Despite to our large and loud group and waitresses did a great job! TBone steak was good and tender- 9/10 Horseradish potatoes-10/10 Dinner rolls 10/10

Kelsey K.

Yelp
Came here this weekend before a concert at Billy bobs. Made reservations online and was seated promptly. Service was great our waiter was very attentive. The inside looks like the rest of the stock yards but the new renovations look like they will be very nice! The cocktail menu is very reasonably priced which was nice! The food was just okay. All steaks and entrees come with a salad and a potato which is nice for a steak house. The balsamic dressing was great on the salads! The entrees were just okay. The ribs only had BBQ on half of them and were a bit dry. The steaks lacked salt and the chicken fried steak had too much salt and the gravy was weird. The baked potato loading tree was a fun touch! I have yet to have a great meal in the stockyards either way so if I was in search of something decent I'd probably be back.

Mike M.

Yelp
In Fort Worth for a wedding. We hit up the Stockyards, watched the cattle drive and then walked the streets looking for a bar with the right feel. This place was just perfect. Took the corner of the bar and the five of us had a great time getting temporary treatment for our sobriety. The bartenders were slammed but still made some very tasty cocktails. Their version of an old fashion with their brown sugar syrup was just delicious. We also grabbed an early dinner. My steak salad was very good and the meat was just wonderful. Others had the ribs and they loved them. Nice touristy place.

Bobby L.

Yelp
My wife's filet mignon was sent back twice because they couldn't get it to medium. The waitress was the one that suggested it go back both times. Since I can't eat sugar, I asked our waitress if the ribs were sweet and she said "No, they are dry rubbed with bbq sauce on the side". Needless to say they came out covered in sweet bbq sauce. The creamed spinach was lukewarm at best. There was so much dust on the ledge next to our table, we could have written our names in it. I know they are renovating, but they are also serving food. It was a disaster from start to finish. Not even an apology from a manager or anything. Pretty sad establishment

Allison J.

Yelp
We made a reservation for a certain time and ended up waiting almost an hour for a table. Do not recommend

Jack T.

Yelp
Food was okay. Service was very good. Did not like the testicles. Ambiance is ambience I think.

Candy H.

Yelp
Service was amazing, everything we had was excellent the rib eye was cooked to perfection even the bake potato was so good. Loved the wooden floors and saloon feel. I can't wait to go back and see what it looks like after the remodel is finished.

Pancho A.

Yelp
It was an ok experience The food was ok I wasn't really enjoying warm salads and crunchy steak. Both the shrimp and the steak had a heavy coat of seasoning and high on sodium ha! it was very salty. The wings were ok just lukewarm temperature I mean i barely ordered it and I got it within minutes of ordering. Either they have them cooked and ready to send out or I was given somebody else's left over wings and they just tossed it around in sauce and se t it out. The meat was warm. It was my first time being here and the area they sat me was lame I didn't like that two seater location.

Yelp
I went to this place for lunch on a workday so it was not busy. The waitress was super nice, she brought us waters while we waited for the other party members to arrive. I ordered the New York Strip with a baked potato. The food was great and cooked perfectly. They brought out a caddy with all the fixings for the potato, which I liked since I like lots of butter and stuff in my potato. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good steak or have someone visiting since it is very close to the historical stockyards.

Yelp
The food was excellent! My son got the kid's chicken friend steak, it was huge for a kid's portion and included very good fries. My husband and I shared the bone in rib steak with a baked potato. Again, bey large portion, easily shared and we took home leftovers from both meals. The rolls were also very good, a touch of sweet to make them perfect. They were used to make the croutons, a great addition to the green salad. The service was excellent. We went on a Monday evening so there was no wait. Victor was our server and was extraordinary. He gave us ample attention but was not at all intrusive. Her also paid attention to the details, keeping glasses full and bringing extra ranch when needed. Overall a wonderful dining experience and I would wholeheartedly recommend them. Enjoy!

Yelp
Food was great only complaint and I also heard other tables near by complaining is about the bread. Yes they took away the rolls and replaced them with new breads now you get 3 types of bread Corn bread and not sure what the others are they taste good but not as good as the rolls they had. They steaks are amazing and the rolls are what keeps people coming here and not to Road house. Please bring the rolls back. Or I will sneak my own rolls in

Yelp
Food was delicious and service was great, but due to construction and remodeling of restaurant going on the ambiance was lost. Would like to return when all remodeling is done.

Yelp
Amazing service, all the staff are very kind and friendly. All of our steaks were cooked to perfection, super delicious sides as well. I ordered an old fashioned and a Paloma, both were made so well and tasted delicious.

Yelp
Good basic steakhouse. No surprises. The steak prices are quite reasonable for today's market. Side items are also good and reasonably priced.

Yelp
Hungry, and tired, we walked into Cattlemen's ready to devour a cow. I didn't expect much from Cattlemen's due to the 3.5 stars on Yelp and recent low ratings (Yelp made me snobby?!). We didn't want to wait since other nearby restaurants were packed during prime dinner time on a Friday evening, so we ventured into Cattlemen's. For a Friday evening, this place was empty! People must have been traveling for the Christmas holiday because from all the reviews it sounded like this place gets pretty busy! Food: 8.5/10 I bumped it up 1 point because the pepper crust on the New York strip steak was EXTRA peppery, and I loved it! I've never had such an intense pepper crust. Warning, this may be too much peppercorn for most people so i'd ask the server if they can lighten their hand on yours. The steak itself was cooked on a nice medium rare (as requested). It is not the best quality steak, but surprisingly it was still juicy and tender! Overall, a really good steak. The baked potato was great. Came out piping hot with individually packed fillings. I didn't really liked the individually packed fillings because it's extra plastic waste (boo!) especially since we are dining in! The service was GREAT. We had such amazing servers (I think one finished her shift halfway, but it was a seamless transition)! They were so cheery and came back to check on us, but not enough to hover. TL;DR: don't be afraid of the mid-tier Yelp rating! Give this place a try. Peppercorn crust may be a little to strong for some!
